2Detection and Analysis of Number of Ralstonia solanacearum in Soil before Winter Tillage in Fuzhou Tobacco-growing Area, Jiangxi Province显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to optimize the tobacco planting area in Fuzhou City and to prevent the outbreak of tobacco bacterial wilt in large area.[Method]At the end of 2017,soil samples were collected from plots planned to be planted with tobacco in the following year in Yihuang,Guangchang,Lichuan and Le’an counties.[Result]Among 352 plots,116 plots were infected by Ralstonia solanacearum,while 236 plots were free of the pathogen,and the infected plots accounted for 32.95% of total plots.Among them,75 plots exceeded the order of magnitudes of 103,accounting for 21.31% of total plots and 64.66% of infected plots.It is suggested that the plots with an order of magnitude above 103 should be pretreated with quicklime or purple soil,or conducted crop rotation,or seeds must be directly abandoned;the dosage of biocontrol agents should be increased in planting.The plots with an order of magnitude below 103 should be pretreated with quicklime or purple soil,and the dosage of biocontrol agents should be increased in planting.[Conclusion]The results provide reliable theoretical basis and data support for soil improvement and bacterial wilt control.Zhang Zhigao Hu Liwei Feng Xiaohu Mou Wenjun Wang Libing Zhang Rui 2019Plant Diseases and Pests2019,10,5:1
3BSA stabilized photothermal-fenton reactor with cisplatin for chemo/chemodynamic cascade oncotherapy显示文摘Cisplatin(CDDP)-based chemotherapy is substantially limited in the clinic due to its high postoperative recurrence rate.Synergy therapy has been proven as a potent approach to minimize recurrence and achieve enhanced treatment effects.Herein,chemotherapy drug CDDP is assembled with the photothermal-Fenton agent of bovine serum albumin(BSA)stabilized gallic acid-functionalized iron nanoparticles(GA-Fe NPs)to achieve chemo/chemodynamic synergistic cascade oncotherapy.The Pt-GA-Fe NPs can be utilized to generate H_(2)O_(2) via the activation of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate(NADPH)oxidases(NOXs)in the tumor microenvironment(TME),which would then greatly boost H2O2-depending chemodynamic therapy(CDT).The generated cytotoxic reactive oxygen species(hydroxyl radicals,·OH)and the depletion of glutathione(GSH)would further promote CDDP-induced DNA damage.Moreover,benefiting from the absorption in the near-infrared(NIR)region,Pt-GA-Fe NPs exhibit excellent photothermal conversion efficiency(η=45.5%)and allow photoacoustic imaging(PAI)guided photothermal therapy(PTT).In vitro and in vivo experiments show that synergy therapy can effectively kill cancer cells and successfully cure cancer without systemic toxicity.The work highlights a new type of therapeutic agent based on CDDP with the ability of H_(2)O_(2) self-generation,thermal responsiveness,and enhanced CDT effects for applications in cancer therapy.Nan Yang Tian Zhang Changyu Cao Genxiang Mao Jinjun Shao Xuejiao Song Wenjun Wang Xiaozhou Mou Xiaochen Dong 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:0
4SOX2 promotes tumorigenesis and increases the anti-apoptotic property of human prostate cancer cell显示文摘SRY-related HMG-box gene 2(SOX2)is one of the key regulatory genes that maintain the pluripotency and self-renewal properties in embryonic stem cells.Here we used immunohistochemistry to analyze the expression of SOX2 in human prostate tissues and found it contributed to tumorigenesis and correlated with histologic grade and Gleason score.We further investigated SOX2’s function in cell growth and apoptosis process by using a human prostate cancer cell line DU145 with SOX2 overexpression or down-regulation.Cell cycle assay revealed that SOX2 promoted cell growth and increased the percentage of cells in S phase.In vitro and in vivo xenograft experiments in NOD/SCID mice further demonstrated that SOX2 increased the apoptosis-resistant properties of DU145 cells with decreased function of store-operated Ca21 entry and reduced expression of Orai1 at both mRNA and protein levels,suggesting a potential mechanism that contributes to the anti-apoptotic property of SOX2.To our knowledge,this study is the first to investigate SOX2’s function in tumorigenesis and apoptosis of human prostate cancer and to elucidate its regulatory effect on the activity of store-operated Ca21 channels.Our results support the concept that SOX2 has the potential to be a significant marker to evaluate the progression of prostate cancer and serve as a potentially useful target for prostate cancer therapy.Xianpei Jia Xuefei Li Yingxi Xu Shu Zhang Wenjun Mou Yanhua Liu Yin Liu Dan Lv Cheng-Hu Liu Xiaoyue Tan Rong Xiang Na Li 2011Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2011,3,4:0
