2Single atom catalytic oxidation mechanism of formaldehyde on Al doped graphene at room temperature显示文摘Formaldehyde(HCHO) is one kind of common indoor toxic pollutant,the catalytic oxidation degradation of formaldehyde at room temperature is desired.In this work,a new single atomic catalyst(SAC),Al doped graphene,for the catalytic oxidation of HCHO molecules was proposed through density function theory(DFT) calculations.It is found that Al atoms can be adsorbed on graphene stably without aggre s sion.Then HCHO can be effectively oxidized into CO2 and H2 O in the presence of O2 molecules on Al doped graphene with a low energy barrier of 0.82 eV and releasing energy of 2.29 eV with the pathway of HCHO→HCOOH→CO→CO2.The oxidation reaction can happen promptly with reaction time τ=56.9 s at the speed control step at room temperature.Therefore,this work proposed a high-performance catalyst Al-doped graphene without any noble metal for HCHO oxidation at ambient temperature,and corresponding oxidation pathway and mechanism are also deeply understood.Guanlan Liu Jtmhui Zhou Weina Zhao Zhimin Ao Taicheng An 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,7:3
3Human factors quantification via boundary identification of flight performance margin显示文摘A systematic methodology including a computational pilot model and a pattern recognition method is presented to identify the boundary of the flight performance margin for quantifying the human factors. The pilot model is proposed to correlate a set of quantitative human factors which represent the attributes and characteristics of a group of pilots. Three information processing components which are influenced by human factors are modeled: information perception, decision making, and action execution. By treating the human factors as stochastic variables that follow appropriate probability density functions, the effects of human factors on flight performance can be investigated through Monte Carlo(MC) simulation. Kernel density estimation algorithm is selected to find and rank the influential human factors. Subsequently, human factors are quantified through identifying the boundary of the flight performance margin by the k-nearest neighbor(k-NN) classifier. 4Growth mechanism of palladium clusters on rutile TiO_2 (110) surface显示文摘Oxide-supported transition metal systems have been the subject of enormous interest due to the improvement of catalytic properties relative to the separate metal.Thus in this paper,we embark on a systematic study for Pd n (n=1-5) clusters adsorbed on TiO2 (110) surface based on DFT-GGA calculations utilizing periodic supercell models.A single Pd adatom on the defect-free surface prefers to adsorb at a hollow site bridging a protruded oxygen and a five-fold titanium atom along the [110] direction,while Pd dimer is located on the channels with the Pd-Pd bond parallel to the surface.According to the transition states (TSs) search,the adsorbed Pd trimer tends to triangular growth mode,rather than linear mode,while the Pd4 and Pd5 clusters prefer three-dimensional (3D) models.However,the oxygen vacancy has almost no influence on the promotion of Pd n cluster nucleation.Additionally,of particular significance is that the Pd-TiO2 interaction is the main driving force at the beginning of Pd nucleation,whereas the Pd-Pd interaction gets down to control the growth process of Pd cluster as the cluster gets larger.It is hoped that our theoretical study would shed light on further designing high-performance TiO2 supported Pd-based catalysts.Weina Zhao Huaxiang Lin Yi Li Yongfan Zhang Xin Huang Wenkai Chen 2012Journal of Natural Gas Chemistry2012,21,5:3
5Quantifying the effects of stripe rust disease on wheat canopy spectrum based on eliminating non-physiological stresses显示文摘The wheat canopy reflectance spectrum is affected by many internal and external factors such as diseases and growth stage. Separating the effects of disease stress on the crop from the observed mixed signals is crucial for increasing the precision of remote sensing monitoring of wheat stripe rust. The canopy spectrum of winter wheat infected by stripe rust was processed with the difference-in-differences(DID) algorithm used in econometrics. The monitoring accuracies of wheat stripe rust before and after processing with the DID algorithm were compared in the presence of various external factors, disease severity, and several simulated satellite sensors. The correlation between the normalized difference vegetation index processed by the DID algorithm(NDVI-DID) and the disease severity level(SL) increased in comparison with the NDVI before processing. The increase in precision in the natural disease area in the field in the presence of large differences in growth stage, growth, planting, and management of the crop was greater than that in the controlled experiment. For low disease levels(SL < 20%), the R2 of the regression of NDVI-DIDon SL was 38.8% higher than that of the NDVI and the root mean square error(RMSE) was reduced by 11.1%. The increase in precision was greater than that for the severe level(SL > 40%).According to the measured hyperspectral data, the spectral reflectance of three satellite sensor levels was simulated. The wide-band NDVI was calculated. Compared with the wide-band NDVI and vegetation indexes(VI) before DID processing, there were increases in the correlation between SL and the various types of VIS-DID, as well as in the correlation between SL and NDVI-DID. It is feasible to apply the DID algorithm to multispectral satellite data and diverse types of VISfor monitoring wheat stripe rust. 8Brain imaging of mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease显示文摘The rapidly increasing prevalence of cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease has the potential to create a major worldwide healthcare crisis. Structural MRI studies in patients with Alzheimer's disease and mild cognitive impairment are currently attracting considerable interest. It is extremely important to study early structural and metabolic changes, such as those in the hippocampus, entorhinal cortex, and gray matter structures in the medial temporal lobe, to allow the early detection of mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. The microstructural integrity of white matter can be studied with diffusion tensor imaging. Increased mean diffusivity and decreased fractional anisotropy are found in subjects with white matter damage. Functional imaging studies with positron emission tomography tracer compounds enable detection of amyloid plaques in the living brain in patients with Alzheimer's disease. 16Velocity structure in the South Yellow Sea basin based on first-arrival tomography of wide-angle seismic data and its geological implications显示文摘The South Yellow Sea basin is filled with Mesozoic-Cenozoic continental sediments overlying pre-Palaeozoic and Mesozoic-Palaeozoic marine sediments.Conventional multi-channel seismic data cannot describe the velocity structure of the marine residual basin in detail,leading to the lack of a deeper understanding of the distribution and lithology owing to strong energy shielding on the top interface of marine sediments.In this study,we present seismic tomography data from ocean bottom seismographs that describe the NEE-trending velocity distributions of the basin.The results indicate that strong velocity variations occur at shallow crustal levels.Horizontal velocity bodies show good correlation with surface geological features,and multi-layer features exist in the vertical velocity framework(depth:0–10 km).The analyses of the velocity model,gravity data,magnetic data,multichannel seismic profiles,and drilling data showed that high-velocity anomalies(>6.5 km/s)of small(thickness:1–2 km)and large(thickness:>5 km)scales were caused by igneous complexes in the multi-layer structure,which were active during the Palaeogene.Possible locations of good Mesozoic and Palaeozoic marine strata are limited to the Central Uplift and the western part of the Northern Depression along the wide-angle ocean bottom seismograph array.Following the Indosinian movement,a strong compression existed in the Northern Depression during the extensional phase that caused the formation of folds in the middle of the survey line.This study is useful for reconstructing the regional tectonic evolution and delineating the distribution of the marine residual basin in the South Yellow Sea basin.Weina Zhao Zhiqiang Wu Fanghui Hou Xunhua Zhang Tianyao Hao Hanjoon Kim Yanpeng Zheng Shanshan Chen Huigang Wang 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,2:1

19Treatment of Alzheimer’s disease by microcapsule regulates neurotransmitter release via microfluidic technology显示文摘Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a progressive neurodegenerative disease with a complex etiology.The main neu-ropathological feature is the accumulation of amyloid-beta(Aβ),and the dysregulation of the cholinergic system is well associated with its mechanism of occurrence,for which no effective treatment is yet available.Daily oral administration remains the mainstay of treatment with AD,and how to improve the efficacy,prolong adsorp-tion and medication compliance is still the focus of the current solution.We proposed a microcapsule based on microfluidic electrospray to form an intestinal epithelial lining for AD treatment,reducing the frequency of administration.Microfluidic electrospray technology was recruited to overcome the limitations associated with the variability in the microencapsulation production process and to produce functional microcapsules with finely adapted chemical composition,capsule thickness and encapsulant volume ratio.These microcapsules could slowly release drugs after adhering to the intestine,and their effectiveness and safety were further evaluated using cell culture studies and animal model studies.The results from the in vivo and in vitro experiments showed a significant reduction in administration frequency(i.e.,from daily medication to once every five days),superior therapeutic efficacy and sufficient safety of these microcapsules in cell culture and APP/PS1 mice.These features make the microcapsules an excellent drug delivery system and represent great potential for clinical applications in AD.Weina Yao Junyi Che Cheng Zhao Xiao Zhang Huijuan Zhou Feng Bai 2023Engineered Regeneration2023,4,2:0
20Combining field data and modeling to better understand maize growth response to phosphorus(P) fertilizer application and soil P dynamics in calcareous soils显示文摘We used field experimental data to evaluate the ability of the agricultural production system model (APSIM) to simulate soil P availability,maize biomass and grain yield in response to P fertilizer applications on a fluvo-aquic soil in the North China Plain.Crop and soil data from a 2-year experiment with three P fertilizer application rates(0,75 and 300 kg P_(2)O_(5) ha^(–1)) were used to calibrate the model.Sensitivity analysis was carried out to investigate the influence of APSIM SoilP parameters on the simulated P availability in soil and maize growth.Crop and soil P parameters were then derived by matching or relating the simulation results to observed crop biomass,yield,P uptake and Olsen-P in soil.The re-parameterized model was further validated against 2 years of independent data at the same sites.The re-parameterized model enabled good simulation of the maize leaf area index (LAI),biomass,grain yield,P uptake,and grain P content in response to different levels of P additions against both the calibration and validation datasets.Our results showed that APSIM needs to be re-parameterized for simulation of maize LAI dynamics through modification of leaf size curve and a reduction in the rate of leaf senescence for modern staygreen maize cultivars in China.The P concentration limits (maximum and minimum P concentrations in organs)at different stages also need to be adjusted.Our results further showed a curvilinear relationship between the measured Olsen-P concentration and simulated labile P content,which could facilitate the initialization of APSIM P pools in the NCP with Olsen-P measurements in future studies.It remains difficult to parameterize the APSIM SoilP module due to the conceptual nature of the pools and simplified conceptualization of key P transformation processes.A fundamental understanding still needs to be developed for modelling and predicting the fate of applied P fertilizers in soils with contrasting physical and chemical characteristics.Weina Zhang Zhigan Zhao Di He Junhe Liu Haigang Li Enli Wang 2024Journal of Integrative Agriculture2024,23,3:0
