| 1 | Antisense MMP-9 RNA inhibits malignant glioma cell growth in vitro and in vivo显示文摘The matrix-degrading metalloproteinases (MMPs), particularly MMP-9, play important roles in the pathogenesis and development of malignant gliomas. In the present study, the oncogenic role of MMP-9 in malignant glioma cells was investigated via antisense RNA blockade in vitro and in vivo. TJ905 malignant glioma cells were transfected with pcDNA3.0 vector expressing antisense MMP-9 RNA (pcDNA-AS-MMP9), which significantly decreased MMP-9 expression, and cell proliferation was assessed. For in vivo studies, U251 cells, a human malignant glioma cell line, were implanted subcutaneously into 4-to 6-week-old BALB/c nude mice. The mice bearing well-established U251 gliomas were treated with intratumoral pcDNA-AS-MMP9-Lipofectamine complex (AS-MMP-9-treated group), subcutaneous injection of endostatin (endostatin-treated group), or both (combined therapy group). Mice treated with pcDNA (empty vector)-Lipofectamine served as the control group. Four or eight weeks later, the volume and weight of tumor, MMP-9 expression, microvessel density and proliferative activity were assayed. We demonstrate that pcDNA-AS-MMP9 significantly decreased MMP-9 expression and inhibited glioma cell proliferation. Volume and weight of tumor, MMP-9 expression, microvessel density and proliferative activity in the antisense-MMP-9-treated and therapeutic alliance groups were significantly lower than those in the control group. The results suggest that MMP-9 not only promotes malignant glioma cell invasiveness, but also affects tumor cell proliferation. Blocking the expression of MMP-9 with antisense RNA substantially suppresses the malignant phenotype of glioma cells, and thus can be used as an effective therapeutic strategy for malignant gliomas. | Cuiyun Sun Qian Wang Hongxu Zhou Shizhu Yu Alain R. | 2 | Hierarchical construction of CNT networks in aramid papers for high-efficiency microwave absorption显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs)incorporated polymeric composites have been extensively investigated for microwave absorption at target frequencies to meet the requirement of radar cross-section reduction.In this work,a strategy of efficient utilization of CNT in producing CNT incorporated aramid papers is demonstrated.The layer-by-layer self-assembly technique is used to coat the surfaces of meta-aramid fibers and fibrils with CNT,providing novel raw materials available for the large-scale papermaking.The hierarchical construction of CNT networks resolves the dilemma of increasing CNT content and avoiding the agglomeration of CNT,which is a frequent challenge for CNT incorporated polymeric composites.The composite paper,which contains abundant heterogeneous interfaces and long-range conductive networks,is capable of reaching a high permittivity and dielectric loss tangent at a low CNT loading,its complex permittivity is,so far,adjustable in the range of(1.20−j0.05)to(25.17−j18.89)at 10 GHz.Some papers with optimal matching thicknesses achieve a high-efficiency microwave absorption with a reflection loss lower than−10 dB in the entire X-band. | You Wu Li Chen Yixuan Han Panbo Liu Haihong Xu Guanze Yu Yingying Wang Tao Wen Wenbo Ju Junwei Gu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,5: | 9 |
| 3 | A Survey of Bitmap Index Compression Algorithms for Big Data显示文摘With the growing popularity of Internet applications and the widespread use of mobile Internet, Internet traffic has maintained rapid growth over the past two decades. Internet Traffic Archival Systems(ITAS) for packets or flow records have become more and more widely used in network monitoring, network troubleshooting, and user behavior and experience analysis. Among the three key technologies in ITAS, we focus on bitmap index compression algorithm and give a detailed survey in this paper. The current state-of-the-art bitmap index encoding schemes include: BBC, WAH, PLWAH, EWAH, PWAH, CONCISE, COMPAX, VLC, DF-WAH, and VAL-WAH. Based on differences in segmentation, chunking, merge compress, and Near Identical(NI) features, we provide a thorough categorization of the state-of-the-art bitmap index compression algorithms. We also propose some new bitmap index encoding algorithms, such as SECOMPAX, ICX, MASC, and PLWAH+, and present the state diagrams for their encoding algorithms. We then evaluate their CPU and GPU implementations with a real Internet trace from CAIDA. Finally, we summarize and discuss the future direction of bitmap index compression algorithms. | 4 | Insecurity of a Public Proof of Cloud Storage from Lattice Assumption显示文摘Cloud storage auditing is considered as a significant service to verify the integrity of the data stored in cloud. Liu et al. have proposed a proof of storage protocol with public auditing form lattice assumption, which can resist quantum computer attacks. They claim that the protocol enjoys desirable security properties, such as unforgeability and privacy preserving. We demonstrate that any malicious cloud service provider can cheat the third party auditor and the users, through generating the valid response proof which can pass the verification even if some other data blocks are lost by accident. And the primitive data blocks maybe recovered by any curious third party auditor through solving some linearly equations. | 5 | Study on an automatic multi-pin insertion system for preparing Z-pin composite laminates显示文摘As a three-dimensional layer enhancement technology, the Z-pin technology is suitable for manufacturing composite prepreg laminates and can also effectively improve their interlaminar properties. In order to manufacture Z-pin composite parts efficiently, this paper proposes a transitional insertion system, and according to the technical requirements of the transitional insertion process and the functional requirements of the transitional insertion platform, proposes a transition insertion plan which can insert multiple Z-pins into a carrier. A prototype machine has been designed and made, and a series of function debugging and verification experiments have been carried out on the machine. Some problems show up during the experiments, but based on the analysis of the reasons, this paper provides lots of solutions, and finally demonstrates the feasibility and practical value of the system. The results show that the system meets all technical requirements of the Z-pin insertion process. It is capable to insert multiple Z-pins into a foam carrier; as a result, the system is as much as 5 times more efficient than existing equipment, and the deviation for the insertion distance can be controlled within 0.3 mm. | 17 | New Early Triassic paleo-magnetic data from Huangben section,Guangdong and its tectonic implications显示文摘A paleomagnetic study was carried out on a total of 122 oriented cores from Daye Formation of the Huangben section, Guangdong Province. Rock magnetic investigations show that low-titanium magnetite is a dominant carrier. Detailed progressive thermal demagnetization isolated 2―3 components. The low temperature component clusters around the present geomagnetic field direction. An intermediate temperature component is isolated at 100―400℃ and is interpreted as a Yanshanian remagnetization. A high-temperature characteristic remanent mag- netization (ChRM) is obtained at 400―530℃ with D = 51.1°,I = 15.3°,α95 = 5.0° and passes generalized fold test and reversal test, suggesting high tempera- ture component is a primary remanence. Its corre- spondent pole position is 38.5°N, 212.7°E (dp = 2.6, dm = 5.1), which overlaps contemporaneous pole of Yangtze Block at 95% confidence level. Therefore, we believe that Huanan and Yangtze blocks were not separated in the Early Triassic. Compared to other published Early Triassic paleomagnetic data from Huanan Block, the inclinations are very close but the declinations are greatly variable.
