| 2 | Differential expression of serum miR-126,miR-141 and miR-21 as novel biomarkers for early detection of liver metastasis in colorectal cancer显示文摘Objective:MicroRNAs(miRNAs) have potential as diagnostic biomarkers in cancer.Evaluation of the association between miRNA expression patterns and early detection of liver metastasis in colorectal cancer(CRC) has not been reported.Methods:We investigated the expression of metastasis-associated miRs-31,335,206,141,126,200b,200c,21,Let7a,Let7b and Let7c in localized,liver-metastatic and other organ-metastatic CRC(OM-CRC).Expressions of target miRNAs in serum were evaluated in 116 consecutive localized CRC(L-CRC),72 synchronous liver-metastatic CRC(SLM-CRC) and 36 other OM-CRC by quantitative real-time PCR.Results:Seven of 11 tested miRNAs could be detected from serum.Four miRNAs,miR-126,Let-7a,miR-141 and miR-21 were identified as metastasis-associated miRNAs.Compared with L-CRC,significant upregulated expression was observed for miR-141 and miR-21 in SLM-CRC and OM-CRC,down-regulated expression was observed for miR-126 in SLM-CRC and OM-CRC,and up-regulated expression of Let-7a in OM-CRC.The receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve showed serum miR-126 had a cut-off [log 10 relative quantity(log 10 RQ)=–0.2005] with 77.78% sensitivity and 68.97% specificity with an area under curve(AUC) of 0.7564,miR-141 had a cut-off(log 10 RQ=–0.2285) with 86.11% sensitivity and 76.11% specificity with an AUC of 0.8279,and miR-21 had a cut-off(log 10 RQ=–0.1310) with 73.61% sensitivity and 66.38% specificity with an AUC of 0.7479.Conclusions:We identified liver metastasis-associated miRNAs,suggesting serum miR-126,miR-141 and miR-21 may be novel biomarkers for clinical diagnosis of early stage liver-metastatic CRC. | Jie Yin Zhigang Bai Jianning Song Yun Yang Jin Wang Wei Han Jun Zhang Hua Meng Xuemei Ma Yao Yang Tingting Wang Weirong Li Zhongtao Zhang | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2014,26,1: | 22 |
| 3 | Design and Synthesis of Cu@CuS Yolk–Shell Structures with Enhanced Photocatalytic Activity显示文摘Non-spherical Cu@Cu S yolk–shell structures are successfully obtained using Cu_2 O cube templates in a process combining rapid surface sulfidation followed by disproportionation of the Cu_2 O core upon treatment with a hydrochloric acid solution. By employing the above method,Cu@Cu S yolk–shell structures with different morphologies,including octahedral, truncated octahedral, and cuboctahedral shapes, can be synthesized. The void space within the hollow structures provides a unique confined space, where the metallic copper present in the core of a shell can be protected from agglomeration and oxidation. Furthermore,the presence of metal copper in these hollow structurescontributes to improvement in the photocatalytic properties of these materials. | 4 | Automatic analytical approach for the determination of 12 illicit drugs and nicotine metabolites in wastewater using on-line SPE-UHPLC-MS/MS显示文摘In this study,we developed a novel on-line solid phase extraction(SPE)-ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry(UHPLC-MS/MS)-based analytical method for simultaneously quantifying 12 illicit drugs and metabolites(methamphetamine,amphetamine,morphine,codeine,6-monoacetylmorphine,benzoylecgonine,3,4-methylenedioxymethamphetamine,3,4-methylenedioxyamphetamine,cocaine,ketamine,norketamine,and methcathinone)and cotinine(COT)in wastewater samples.The analysis was performed by loading 2 m L of the sample onto an Oasis hydrophilic-lipophilic balance cartridge and using a cleanup step(5%methanol)to eliminate interference with a total run time of 13 min.The isotope-labeled internal standard method was used to quantify the target substances and correct for unavoidable losses and matrix effects during the on-line SPE process.Typical analytical characteristics used for method validation were sensitivity,linearity,precision,repeatability,recovery,and matrix effects.The limit of detection(LOD)and limit of quantification(LOQ)of each target were set at 0.20 ng/L and 0.50 ng/L,respectively.The linearity was between 0.5 ng/L and250 ng/L,except for that of COT.The intra-and inter-day precisions were<10.45%and 25.64%,respectively,and the relative recovery ranged from 83.74%to 162.26%.The method was used to analyze various wastewater samples from 33 cities in China,and the results were compared with the experimental results of identical samples analyzed using off-line SPE.The difference rate was between 19.91%and-20.44%,and the error range could be considered acceptable.These findings showed that on-line SPE is a suitable alternative to off-line SPE for the analysis of illicit drugs in samples. | Jingyuan Wang Likai Qia Chenzhi Hou Tingting Zhang Mengyi Chen Haitao Meng Mengxiang Su Hui Xu Zhendong Hua Youmei Wang Bin Di | 2021 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2021,11,6: | 5 |

| 8 | Leaf trait variation captures climate differences but differs with species irrespective of functional group显示文摘Aims To clarify whether variation in leaf traits with climate differs with scale,i.e.across species and within a species,and to detect whether plant functional group affects species-specific response.Methods Leaf dry matter content(LDMC),specific leaf area(SLA),mass-and area-based leaf N(N_(mass),N_(area))and leaf P concentrations(P_(mass),P_(area))and leaf chlorophyll concentration(SPAD)were measured for 92 woody plant species in two botanical gardens in China.The two gardens share plant species in common but differ in climate.Leaf trait variation between the two gardens was examined via mean comparison at three scales:all species together,species grouped into plant functional groups and within a species.A meta-analysis was performed to summarize the species-specific responses.Important Findings At the scale of all species together,LDMC,SLA,P_(mass) and N_(mass) were significantly lower in the dry-cold habitat than in the wet-warm one,whereas N_(area) and SPAD showed an inverse pattern,indicating a significant environmental effect.The meta-analysis showed that the above-mentioned patterns persisted for SLA,N_(area) and SPAD but not for the other variables at the species-specific scale,indicating that intraspecific variation affects the overall pattern of LDMC,P_(mass) and N_(mass) and P_(area).In terms of species-specific response,posi-tive,negative or nonsignificant patterns were observed among the 92 species.Contrary to our prediction,species-specific responses within a functional group were not statistically more similar than those among functional groups.Our results indicated that leaf trait variation captured climatic difference yet species-specific responses were quite diverse irrespective of plant functional group,providing new insights for interpreting trait variability with climate. | Guohong Wang Jinglan Liu Tingting Meng | 2015 | Journal of Plant Ecology2015,8,1: | 3 |

| 10 | Nanostructured N-doped carbon materials derived from expandable biomass with superior electrocatalytic performance towards V^(2+)/V^(3+) redox reaction for vanadium redox flow battery显示文摘Vanadium redox flow battery(VRFB)is one of the most promising large-scale energy storage systems,which ranges from kilowatt to megawatt.Nevertheless,poor electrochemical activity of electrode for two redox couples still restricts the extensive applications of VRFB.Compared with V^(2+)/V^(3+)redox reaction,V^(2+)/V^(3+)reaction plays a more significant role in voltage loss of VRFB owing to slow heterogeneous electron transfer rate.Herein,N-doped carbon materials derived from scaphium scaphigerum have been developed as negative electrocatalyst by hydrothermal carbonization and high-temperature nitridation treatments.The undoped carbon material hardly has electrocatalytic ability for V^(2+)/V^(3+)reaction.Based on this,N-doped carbon materials with urea as nitrogen source exhibit excellent electrocatalytic properties.And the material nitrided at 850°C(SSC/N-850)exhibits the best performance among those from700 to 1000℃.SSC/N-850 can accelerate the electrode process including V^(2+)/V^(3+)reaction and mass transfer of active ions due to the large reaction place,more active sites,and good hydrophilicity.The effect of catalyst on comprehensive performance of cell was evaluated.SSC/N-850 can improve the charge-discharge performance greatly.Utilization of SSC/N-850 can lessen the electrochemical polarization of cell,further resulting in increased discharge capacity and energy efficiency.Discharge capacity and energy efficiency increase by 81.5%and 9.8%by using SSC/N-850 as negative catalyst at 150 m A cm^(-2),respectively.Our study reveals that the developed biomass-derived carbon materials are the low-cost and efficient negative electrocatalyst for VRFB system. | Yingqiao Jiang Mengchen Du Gang Cheng Peng Gao Tingting Dong Jing Zhou Xiaojian Feng Zhangxing He Yuehua Li Lei Dai Wei Meng Ling Wang | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8: | 3 |
| 11 | An Equivalent Substitute Strategy for Constructing 3D Ordered Porous Carbon Foams and Their Electromagnetic Attenuation Mechanism显示文摘Three-dimensional(3D)ordered porous carbon is generally believed to be a promising electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbing material.However,most research works targeted performance improvement of 3D ordered porous carbon,and the specific attenuation mechanism is still ambiguous.Therefore,in this work,a novel ultra-light egg-derived porous carbon foam(EDCF)structure has been successfully constructed by a simple carbonization combined with the silica microsphere template-etching process.Based on an equivalent substitute strategy,the influence of pore volume and specific surface area on the electromagnetic parameters and EMW absorption properties of the EDCF products was confirmed respectively by adjusting the addition content and diameter of silica microspheres.As a primary attenuation mode,the dielectric loss originates from the comprehensive effect of conduction loss and polarization loss in S-band and C band,and the value is dominated by polarization loss in X band and Ku band,which is obviously greater than that of conduction loss.Furthermore,in all samples,the largest effective absorption bandwidth of EDCF-3 is 7.12 GHz under the thickness of 2.13 mm with the filling content of approximately 5 wt%,covering the whole Ku band.Meanwhile,the EDCF-7 sample with optimized pore volume and specific surface area achieves minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))of−58.08 dB at 16.86 GHz while the thickness is 1.27 mm.The outstanding research results not only provide a novel insight into enhancement of EMW absorption properties but also clarify the dominant dissipation mechanism for the porous carbon-based absorber from the perspective of objective experiments. | Meng Zhang Hailong Ling Ting Wang Yingjing Jiang Guanying Song Wen Zhao Laibin Zhao Tingting Cheng Yuxin Xie Yuying Guo Wenxin Zhao Liying Yuan Alan Meng Zhenjiang Li | 2022 | Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,10: | 3 |

| 13 | Liuwei Dihuang formula(六味地黄方)protect endothelial cells from apoptosis by up-regulating expression of estrogen receptor-α显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the efficacy of Liuwei Dihuang formula(六味地黄方,LWDHF)on endothelial cells,and to study the mechanism behind the action of modulating expression of estrogen receptors.METHODS:Hydrogen peroxide(H_(2)O_(2))was applied to induce the apoptosis of human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).The concentration of nitric oxide(NO),endothelial nitric oxide synthase(eNOS)and inducible NOS(iNOS)were measured by assay kits.Western blot and real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)were used to detect the expression of iNOS,eNOS,b-cell lymphoma-2(Bcl-2),Bcl-2-associated X protein(Bax),estrogen receptor(ER)αand ERβ.Also,small interfering RNA(siRNA)was involved to confirm whether the protective effects of LWDHF was medicated by ERs.In vivo,the female rats were ovariectomized to establish postmenopausal vascular injury model.Then the model rats were divided into three groups and treated with saline,estradiol and LWDHF respectively.The concentration of NO and NOS in serum were measured by assay kits,and the expression of Bax,Bcl-2,ERαand ERβwere detected by western blot and immunohistochemistry.RESULTS:In vitro study,LWDHF significantly protected HUVECs from H_(2)O_(2)-induced apoptosis,with the increase of Bcl-2 and the decrease of Bax.The treatment with LWDHF inhibited concentration of NO and iNOS,and upregulated the expression of eNOS,ERαand ERβ.In addition,ERαsiRNA could block the protective effects of LWDHF,while ERβsiRNA showed little influence.In vivo,the treatment with LWDHF suppressed the vascular injury and reduced the level of NO and NOS.LWDHF increased the expression of Bcl-2,ERαand ERβ,as well as inhibiting the Bax expression.CONCLUSION:LWDHF could improve endothelial function and protect HUVECs from apoptosis via increasing the expression of ERα. | CHEN Qi QI Xu FU Yu JI Tingting CHAO Ying LI Jun MENG Qinghai BIAN Huimin LI Yu | 2021 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,2: | 3 |
| 14 | Effects of Huangban Bianxing One decoction combined with ranibizumab on treating exudative age-related macular degeneration显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine formula Huangban Bianxing One decoction(HBOD)combined with ranibizumab for treating exudative age-related macular degeneration(AMD)patients.METHODS:Totally 75 cases with exudative AMD(75 eyes)were enrolled in this study and randomly divided into two groups to receive either HBOD with ranibizumab or only ranibizumab.Early treatment diabetic retinopathy study(ETDRS)letters for the best corrected visual acuity,center macular thickness(CMT),height of the lesion,fundus hemorrhage area,fundus fluorescein leakage area as the main outcomes and safety indexes were estimated and compared before and after treatment for 3 or 6 months.RESULTS:Comparing with the before treatment,ETDRS letter scores of both groups after treatment at month 3 obtained a greater improvement(P<0.05),but the significant improvement only existed in the HBOD+ranibizumab group at month 6(P<0.01),and better than the ranibizumab group(P<0.05).At month 3,the CMT and lesion height of both groups were significantly lower than those before treatment(P<0.01 or P<0.05)and the HBOD+ranibizumab group had a similar result at month6(P<0.01).The hemorrhage area and fluorescein leakage area of the HBOD+ranibizumab group were also significantly reduced and also smaller than those of the ranibizumab group at month 6(P<0.01 or P<0.05).During treatment,no significant adverse events relating to HBOD or ranibizumab treatment were elucidated.CONCLUSION:HBOD combined with ranibizumab can improve visual acuity and reduce hemorrhage and fluorescein leakage of patients with exudative AMD.These results also indicated that HBOD may function as an effective and safe adjuvant drug for exudative AMD. | Luo Dan Deng Tingting Yuan Wei Deng Hui Meng Huan Jin Ming | 2019 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2019,39,6: | 3 |

| 16 | The Dynamic Experiment on Treating Acid Mine Drainage with Iron Scrap and Sulfate Reducing Bacteria Using Biomass Materials as Carbon Source显示文摘The study is aimed at the problem of high content of Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)is high and low pH value in acid mine drainage(AMD).Moreover,treatment of AMD by sulfate reducing bacteria(SRB)requires the addition of carbon source,while the treating effectiveness is not good enough on its own.The sugarcane slag,the corn cob and the sunflower straw were selected as the SRB carbon source cooperating with iron scrap to construct the dynamic columns 1,2 and 3.The mechanism of removing Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+),SO_(4)^(2-)and H+and the regularity of sustained release of carbon source and TFe release was studied in AMD.The removal efficiency of heavy metal ions,the ability of sustained release of carbon source,and the ability of adjusting acid by the three dynamic columns were compared.The result shows that the average removal rates of Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)in effluent of dynamic column 1,filled by sugarcane slag,iron scrap and SRB,were 96.9%,67.1%and 54.3%.The average release of TFe and chemical oxygen demand(COD)were 4.4 and 287.3 mg/L.Its average pH was 6.98.Compared with the performance of dynamic columns 1,2 and 3,dynamic column 1 performed best in removing Cr^(6+),Cr^(3+)and SO_(4)^(2-)from AMD and controlling the release of COD and TFe,adjusting the pH of the solution.The study is of significance in treatment of AMD by taking for biomass materials as SRB carbon source in cooperation with iron scrap. | Xianjun Wang Junzhen Di Yanrong Dong Yu Yang Bing Liang Fankang Meng Tingting Wang Wenbo An Zengxin Li Jianzhi Guo | 2021 | Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,1: | 2 |

| 19 | Genesis mechanism and Mg isotope difference between the Sinian and Cambrian dolomites in Tarim Basin显示文摘Dolomite genesis is a century-old mystery in sedimentology.To reveal the mechanism of dolomite genesis,two core problems need to be addressed.The first is the origin and migration mechanism of Mg^(2+)-rich fluids during the dolomitization process.The second is the kinetic barrier caused by Mg^(2+)hydration during dolomite precipitation at low temperatures.To address these problems,our study,based on detailed petrological,sedimentological,geochemical(major and trace elements),and isotopic(C-O-Mg)analysis,clarified the source and migration of Mg^(2+)-rich fluids and the kinetic barrier mechanism of lowtemperature dolomite precipitation in the Upper Sinian Qigebulake Formation and the Lower Cambrian Xiaoerbulake Formation in the Tarim Basin.First,we found that the Mg^(2+)-rich fluids required for the dolomitization of dolomite in the Xiaoerbulake Formation were primarily derived from the Early Cambrian marine fluid.At the interface of the sedimentary cycle,δ26Mg values fluctuated considerably,indicating that the sequence interface was the starting point and channel for the migration of dolomitized fluids.Sea level variation plays a major role in controlling the dolomitization process of the Xiaoerbulake Formation.Second,the Qigebulake Formation contains low-temperature dolomite with Mg^(2+)-rich fluids supplied by seawater,microorganisms,and sedimentary organic matter.Comprehensive analysis shows that the dolomite of the Qigebulake Formation was formed by microbial induction by anaerobic methane bacteria.Finally,the properties and sources of dolomitization fluids and the formation process of dolomite were the reasons for the difference in the Mg isotope composition of dolomite during the Sinian-Cambrian transition.This study reveals the genetic mechanism of the Sinian-Cambrian dolomite in the Tarim Basin and establishes a new method to explain the genesis of microbial dolomite by C-O-Mg isotopes,providing a reference for the reconstruction of the formation and evolution of dolomites. | Guangyou ZHU Xi LI Tingting LI Lei ZHOU Yuxuan WU Bing SHEN Meng NING | 2023 | Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,2: | 2 |
