| 2 | Enhanced third-harmonic generation by manipulating the twist angle of bilayer graphene显示文摘Twisted bilayer graphene(tBLG)has received substantial attention in various research fields due to its unconventional physical properties originating from Moire superlattices.The electronic band structure in tBLG modified by interlayer interactions enables the emergence of low-energy van Hove singularities in the density of states,allowing the observation of intriguing features such as increased optical conductivity and photocurrent at visible or near-infrared wavelengths.Here,we show that the third-order optical nonlinearity can be considerably modified depending on the stacking angle in tBLG.The third-harmonic generation(THG)efficiency is found to significantly increase when the energy gap at the van Hove singularity matches the three-photon resonance of incident light.Further study on electrically tuneable optical nonlinearity reveals that the gate-controlled THG enhancement varies with the twist angle in tBLG,resulting in a THG enhanced up to 60 times compared to neutral monolayer graphene.Our results prove that the twist angle opens up a new way to control and increase the optical nonlinearity.of tBLG,,suggesting rotation-induced tuneable nonlinear optics in stacked two-dimensional material systems. | Seongju Ha Nam Hun Park Hyeonkyeong Kim Jiseon Shin Jungseok Choi Sungmin Park Ji-Yun Moon Kwanbyung Chae Jeil Jung Jae-Hyun Lee Youngdong Yoo Ji-Yong Park Kwang Jun Ahn Dong-Il Yeom | 2021 | Light(Science & Applications)2021,10,2: | 1 |

| 11 | Plasmonic Ag‑Decorated Few‑Layer MoS2 Nanosheets Vertically Grown on Graphene for Efficient Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting显示文摘A controllable approach that combines surface plasmon resonance and twodimensional(2D)graphene/MoS2 heterojunction has not been implemented despite its potential for efficient photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting.In this study,plasmonic Ag-decorated 2D MoS2 nanosheets were vertically grown on graphene substrates in a practical large-scale manner through metalorganic chemical vapor deposition of MoS2 and thermal evaporation of Ag.The plasmonic Ag-decorated MoS2 nanosheets on graphene yielded up to 10 times higher photo-to-dark current ratio than MoS2 nanosheets on indium tin oxide.The significantly enhanced PEC activity could be attributed to the synergetic effects of SPR and favorable graphene/2D MoS2 heterojunction.Plasmonic Ag nanoparticles not only increased visible-light and near-infrared absorption of 2D MoS2,but also induced highly amplified local electric field intensity in 2D MoS2.In addition,the vertically aligned 2D MoS2 on graphene acted as a desirable heterostructure for efficient separation and transportation of photo-generated carriers.This study provides a promising path for exploiting the full potential of 2D MoS2 for practical large-scale and efficient PEC water-splitting applications. | Dong‑Bum Seo Tran Nam Trung Dong‑Ok Kim Duong Viet Duc Sungmin Hong Youngku Sohn Jong‑Ryul Jeong Eui‑Tae Kim | 2020 | Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,12: | 1 |
