1Dissection of genetic overlap of salt tolerance QTLs at the seedling and tillering stages using backcross introgression lines in rice显示文摘QTLs for salt-tolerance(ST)related traits at the seedling and tillering stages were identified using 99 BC2F8 introgression lines(IL)derived from a cross between IR64(indica)as a recurrent parent and Binam(japonica)from Iran as the donor parent.Thirteen QTLs affecting survival days of seedlings(SDS), score of salt toxicity of leaves(SST),shoot K + concentration(SKC)and shoot Na + concentration(SNC) at the seedling stage and 22 QTLs underlying fresh weight of shoots(FW),tiller number per plant(TN) and plant height(PH)at the tillering stage were identified.Most QTLs detected at the tillering stage showed obvious differential expression to salt stress and were classified into three types based on their differential behaviors.Type I included 11 QTLs which were expressed only under the non-stress condition.Type II included five QTLs expressed in the control and the salt stress conditions,and three of them(QPh5,QPh8 and QTn9)had similar quantity and the same direction of gene effect,suggesting their expression was less influenced by salt stress.Type III included six QTLs which were detectable only under salt stress,suggesting that these QTLs were apparently induced by the stress.Thirteen QTLs affecting trait difference or trait stability of ILs between the stress and non-stress conditions were identified and the Binam alleles at all loci except QPh4,QTn2 and QFw2a decreased trait difference.The three QTLs less influenced by the stress and 13 QTLs affecting trait stability were considered as ST QTLs which contributed to ST.Comparing the distribution of QTLs detected at the seedling and tillering stages,most(69%)of them were genetically independent.Only four were the same or adjacent regions on chromosomes 1,2,8 and 11 harboring ST QTLs detected at the two stages,suggesting that partial genetic overlap of ST across the two stages occurs.It is likely,therefore,to develop ST rice variety for both stages by pyramiding of ST QTLs of different stages or selection against the overlapping QTLs between the two stages via marker-assisted selection(MAS).ZANG JinPing 1 ,SUN Yong 1 ,WANG Yun 1 ,YANG Jing 1 ,LI Fang 1 ,ZHOU YongLi 1 ,ZHU LingHua 1 , Reys JESSICA2,Fotokian MOHAMMADHOSEIN 2,XU JianLong 1&LI ZhiKang 1,2 1Institute of Crop Sciences/National Key Facility for Crop Gene Resources&Genetic Improvement,Chinese Academy of Agricul- tural Sciences,Beijing 100081,China 2International Rice Research Institute,DAPO Box 7777,Metro Manila,Philippines 2008Science China(Life Sciences)2008,51,7:32
2An operational two-layer remote sensing model to estimate surface flux in regional scale: Physical background显示文摘Based on the improved interaction mechanism of two-layer model, this paper proposed Pixel Component Arranging and Comparing Algorithm (PCACA) and theoretically positioning algorithm, estimated the true temperature of mixed pixel in four extreme points in combination with the measurements of dry and wet points in calibration fields and improved the reliability of positioning dry and wet line. A new two-layer energy-separation algorithm was proposed,which was simple and direct without resistance network parameters for each pixel. We also proposed a new thought about the effect of advection. The albedo of mixed pixel was also separated with PCACA. In combination with two-layer energy-separation algorithm, the net radiation of mixed pixel was separated to overcome the uncertainty of conventional energy-separation algorithm using Beer's Law. Through the validation of retrieval result, this method is proved to be feasible and operational. 3ZmMs30 Encoding a Novel GDSL Lipase Is Essential for Male Fertility and Valuable for Hybrid Breeding in Maize显示文摘Genic male sterility (GMS) is very useful for hybrid vigor utilization and hybrid seed production. Although a large number of GMS genes have been identified in plants, little is known about the roles of GDSL lipase members in anther and pollen development. Here, we report a maize GMS gene, ZmMs30, which encodes a novel type of GDSL lipase with diverged catalytic residues. Enzyme kinetics and activity assays show that ZmMs30 has lipase activity and prefers to substrates with a short carbon chain. ZmMs30 is specifically expressed in maize anthers during stages 7-9. Loss of ZmMs30 function resulted in defective anther cuticle, irregular foot layer of pollen exine, and complete male sterility. Cytological and lipidomics analyses demonstrate that ZmMs30 is crucial for the aliphatic metabolic pathway required for pollen exine formation and anther cuticle development. Furthermore, we found that male sterility caused by loss of ZmMs30 function was stable in various inbred lines with different genetic background, and that it didn't show any negative effect on maize heterosis and production, suggesting that ZmMs30 is valuable for crossbreeding and hybrid seed production. We then developed a new multi-control sterility system using ZmMs30 and its mutant line, and demonstrated it is feasible for generating desirable GMS lines and valu. able for hybrid maize seed production. 4A GTD model and state space approach based method for extracting the UWB scattering center of moving target显示文摘Movements of the scattering center on the condition of ultra-wideband(UWB)will impact the extraction of parameters.This paper presents an approach for extracting the moving targets'UWB scattering center parameters based on the geometrical theory of diffraction(GTD)model and the state space approach. 5Correcting method of eddy covariance fluxes over non-flat surfaces and its application in ChinaFLUX显示文摘Although Eddy Covariance (EC) technique is one of the best methods for estimating the energy and mass exchanges between underlying surface and atmosphere in micrometeorology, errors and uncertainties still exist without necessary corrections. In this paper, we will focus on the effect of coordinate system on the eddy fluxes. Based on the data observed over four sites (one farmland site, one grassland site and two forest sites), the effects of three coordinate system transforming methods (Double Rotation-DR, Triple Rotation-TR and Planar Fit-PF)on the turbulent fluxes are analyzed. 6On the TOPS mode spaceborne SAR显示文摘TOPS (terrain observation by progressive scans) is a recently proposed SAR mode for wide swath acquisition, which aims at achieving the same coverage and resolution as the SCAN mode besides creating scalloping-free images. In this paper, a general SAR imaging model used in TOPS and other SAR modes is introduced, where the antenna sweep rate, Doppler centroid rate, illumination time and azimuth resolution are described by a parameter defined as the 'mode factor'. After analyzing the characteristics of TOPS signal, an algorithm based on chirp-z transform is proposed, in which a new de-rotation function is used. 7Molecular dissection of plant height QTLs using recombinant inbred lines from hybrids between common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and spelt wheat (Triticum spelta L.)显示文摘In wheat, plant height is an important agronomic trait, and a number of quantitative trait loci (QTLs) controlling plant height have been located. In this study, using the conditional and unconditional QTL mapping methods, combined with data from five different growth stages over two years of field trials, the developmental behavior for plant height in wheat was dissected. Nine unconditional QTLs and 8 conditional QTLs were identified, of which 6 were detected by both methods. None of the 11 QTLs was detected at all of the 5 investigated developmental stages, but 7 QTLs were detected at certain stages in both years. Further analysis identified 9 unconditional QTLs at different stages, which could explain the phenotypic variation from 4.81% to 17.35%. It was noteworthy that one major QTL designated QHt-4B-2, which was located on chromosome 4B, was detected on May 18 and 25 in both years, and its genetic contributions to plant height ranged from 13.42% to 16.13%. Moreover, of the 8 conditional QTLs identified, six were detected in both years, in the order of QHt-3B→QHt-4B-1→QHt-4B-2→QHt-4D→QHt-5A and QHt-2B expressed at the same developmental stage. 8Knowledge-based bridge detection from SAR images显示文摘Automatic bridge detection is an important application of SAR images.Differed from the classical CFAR method,a new knowledge-based bridge detection approach is proposed.The method not only uses the backscattering intensity difference between targets and background but also applies the contextual information and spatial relationship between objects.According to bridges' special characteristics and scattering properties in SAR images,the new knowledge-based method includes three processes:river segmentation,potential bridge areas detection and bridge discrimination.The application to AIRSAR data shows that the new method is not sensitive to rivers' shape.Moreover,this method can detect bridges successfully when river segmentation is not very exact and is more robust than the radius projection method.Wang Wenguang Sun Jinping Hu Rui Mao Shiyi 2009Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2009,20,5:5

10A novel spaceborne SAR wide-swath imaging approach based on Poisson disk-like nonuniform sampling and compressive sensing显示文摘Since the range swath width in the conventional single channel spaceborne synthetic aperture radar(SAR)is restricted by the system parameters,there is a trade-off between the azimuth resolution and the swath width in order to satisfy the Nyquist sampling criterion.In this paper,we propose a novel spaceborne SAR wide-swath imaging scheme based on compressive sensing(CS)for the sparse scene.The proposed method designs a Poisson disk-like nonuniform sampling pattern in the azimuth direction,which meets the demand of wider swath by restricting the smallest time interval between any two azimuth samples,with the conventional sampling pattern preserved in the range direction.By a similar way to the processing procedure of spectral analysis(SPECAN)algorithm,the linear range migration correction(RMC)is realized while carrying out range compression,which can meet the demand for focusing with middle level resolution.To reduce the computation load of CS reconstruction,we propose a novel fast reconstruction algorithm based on nonuniform fast Fourier transform(NUFFT),which greatly reduces the computation complexity from O(2M N)to O(4N log N).Experiment results validate the effectiveness of the proposed methods via the point target simulation and the Radarsat-1 raw data processing in F2 mode.SUN JinPing ZHANG YuXi TIAN JiHua WANG Jun 2012Science China(Information Sciences)2012,55,8:4

13Discovery of Novel Androgen Receptor Ligands by Structure-based Virtual Screening and Bioassays显示文摘Androgen receptor(AR) is a ligand-activated transcription factor that plays a pivotal role in the development and progression of many severe diseases such as prostate cancer, muscle atrophy, and osteoporosis. Binding of ligands to AR triggers the conformational changes in AR that may affect the recruitment of coactivators and downstream response of AR signaling pathway.Therefore, AR ligands have great potential to treat these diseases. In this study, we searched for novel AR ligands by performing a docking-based virtual screening(VS) on the basis of the crystal structure of the AR ligand binding domain(LBD) in complex with its agonist. A total of 58 structurally diverse compounds were selected and subjected to LBD affinity assay, with five of them(HBP1-3, HBP1-17, HBP1-38, HBP1-51, and HBP1-58) exhibiting strong binding to AR-LBD. The IC50 values of HBP1-51 and HBP1-58 are 3.96 m M and 4.92 m M, respectively, which are even lower than that of enzalutamide(Enz, IC50= 13.87 m M), a marketed second-generation AR antagonist. Further bioactivity assays suggest that HBP1-51 is an AR agonist, whereas HBP1-58 is an AR antagonist. In addition, molecular dynamics(MD) simulations and principal components analysis(PCA) were carried out to reveal the binding principle of the newlyidentified AR ligands toward AR. Our modeling results indicate that the conformational changes of helix 12 induced by the bindings of antagonist and agonist are visibly different. 14Study on the Improvement of the Application of Complete Ensemble Empirical Mode Decomposition with Adaptive Noise in Hydrology Based on RBFNN Data Extension Technology显示文摘The complex nonlinear and non-stationary features exhibited in hydrologic sequences make hydrological analysis and forecasting difficult.Currently,some hydrologists employ the complete ensemble empirical mode decomposition with adaptive noise(CEEMDAN)method,a new time-frequency analysis method based on the empirical mode decomposition(EMD)algorithm,to decompose non-stationary raw data in order to obtain relatively stationary components for further study.However,the endpoint effect in CEEMDAN is often neglected,which can lead to decomposition errors that reduce the accuracy of the research results.In this study,we processed an original runoff sequence using the radial basis function neural network(RBFNN)technique to obtain the extension sequence before utilizing CEEMDAN decomposition.Then,we compared the decomposition results of the original sequence,RBFNN extension sequence,and standard sequence to investigate the influence of the endpoint effect and RBFNN extension on the CEEMDAN method.The results indicated that the RBFNN extension technique effectively reduced the error of medium and low frequency components caused by the endpoint effect.At both ends of the components,the extension sequence more accurately reflected the true fluctuation characteristics and variation trends.These advances are of great significance to the subsequent study of hydrology.Therefore,the CEEMDAN method,combined with an appropriate extension of the original runoff series,can more precisely determine multi-time scale characteristics,and provide a credible basis for the analysis of hydrologic time series and hydrological forecasting.Jinping Zhang Youlai Jin Bin Sun Yuping Han Yang Hong 2021Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2021,,2:3
15Determination of averaging period parameter and its effects analysis for eddy covariance measurements显示文摘It is more and more popular to estimate the exchange of water vapor, heat and CO2fluxes between the land surface and the atmosphere using the eddy covariance technique. To get believable fluxes, it is necessary to correct the observations based on the different surface conditions and to determine relevant techinical parameters. The raw 10 Hz eddy covariance data observed in the Yucheng and Changbai Mountains stations were recalculated by various averaging periods (from 1 to 720 min) respectively, and the recalculated results were compared with the results calculated by the averaging period of 30 mins. Meanwhile, the distinctions of fluxes calculated by different averaging periods were analyzed. The continuous 15 days observations over wheat fields in the Yucheng station were mainly analyzed. The results are shown that: (i) In the Yucheng station, compared with the observations by 30 min, when the averaging period changes from 10 to 60 min, the variations of the eddy-covariance estimates of fluxes were less than 2%; when the averaging period changes less than 10 min, the estimate of fluxes reduced obviously with the reduction of the averaging period (the max relative error was -12%); and when the averaging period exceeds 120 min, the eddy covariance estimates of fluxes will be increased and become unsteady (the max relative error is over 10%); (ii) the eddy covariance estimates of fluxes over wheat field in the Yucheng station suggusted that it is much better to take 10 min as an averaging period in studying diurnal change of fluxes, and take 30min for a long-term flux observation; and (iii) normalized ratio was put forward to determine the range of averaging period of eddy covariance measurements. 19Multiple hypothesis tracking based on the Shiryayev sequential probability ratio test显示文摘To date, Wald sequential probability ratio test(WSPRT) has been widely applied to track management of multiple hypothesis tracking(MHT). But in a real situation, if the false alarm spatial density is much larger than the new target spatial density, the original track score will be very close to the deletion threshold of the WSPRT. Consequently, all tracks, including target tracks, may easily be deleted, which means that the tracking performance is sensitive to the tracking environment. Meanwhile, if a target exists for a long time, its track will have a high score, which will make the track survive for a long time even after the target has disappeared. In this paper, to consider the relationship between the hypotheses of the test, we adopt the Shiryayev SPRT(SSPRT) for track management in MHT. By introducing a hypothesis transition probability, the original track score can increase faster, which solves the first problem. In addition, by setting an independent SSPRT for track deletion, the track score can decrease faster, which solves the second problem. 20Low sample volume origami-paper-based graphene-modified aptasensors for label-free electrochemical detection of cancer biomarker-EGFR显示文摘In this work,an electrochemical paper-based aptasensor was fabricated for label-free and ultrasensitive detection of epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)by employing anti-EGFR aptamers as the bio-recognition element.The device used the concept of paper-folding,or origami,to serve as a valve between sample introduction and detection,so reducing sampling volumes and improving operation convenience.Amino-functionalized graphene(NH 2-GO)/thionine(THI)/gold particle(AuNP)nanocomposites were used to modify the working electrode not only to generate the electrochemical signals,but also to provide an environment conducive to aptamer immobilization.Electrochemical characterization revealed that the formation of an insulating aptamer–antigen immunocomplex would hinder electron transfer from the sample medium to the working electrode,thus resulting in a lower signal.The experimental results showed that the proposed aptasensor exhibited a linear range from 0.05 to 200 ngmL^(−1)(R^(2)=0.989)and a detection limit of 5pgmL^(−1) for EGFR.The analytical reliability of the proposed paper-based aptasensor was further investigated by analyzing serum samples,showing good agreement with the gold-standard enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.Yang Wang Shuai Sun Jinping Luo Ying Xiong Tao Ming Juntao Liu Yuanyuan Ma Shi Yan Yue Yang Zhugen Yang Julien Reboud Huabing Yin Jonathan MCooper Xinxia Cai 2020Microsystems & Nanoengineering2020,6,1:2
