1Metamorphic AlInAs/GaInAs HEMTs on silicon substrates by MOCVD显示文摘Metamorphic Al0.50In0.50As/Ga0.47In0.53As high electron mobility transistors (mHEMTs) grown by Metal Organic ChemicalVapor Deposition (MOCVD) on n-type silicon substrates with introduction of a novel multi-stage buffering stack scheme havebeen fabricated for the first time. 1.0- m-gate-length depletion-mode mHEMTs with maximum transconductance up to 613mS/mm are achieved. The unity current gain cut-off frequency (fT) and the maximum oscillation frequency (fmax) are 36.9 and55.6 GHz, respectively. This device has the highest fTyet reported for 1.0- m-gate-length HEMTs grown on silicon byMOCVD. Also, this performance is comparable to that of similar GaAs-based mHEMTs. 2Experimental demonstration of λ/8 DFB semiconductor laser array for 1.3 μm CWDM system显示文摘In this article,we report the first experimental demonstration of an eight-wavelength λ/8 phased-shifted laser array based on the REC technique in the 1.3 μm wavelength domain.Measurement results exhibit good linearity of lasing wavelength with+/-0.35 nm wavelength residual.The SLM property was ensured with SMSRs all larger than 38 dB.Moreover,the directmodulation performance was also tested.The experimental results show that the modulation bandwidth can reach up to 13GHz even at the small injection current of 40 mA and the measured spurious-free dynamic range(SFDR)is up to 87 dB/Hz2/3,which shows good linearity.These measurements show that REC-based λ/8 phased-shifted laser array has good modulation performance and it may find potential application in actual fiber-optic systems.LU LinLin HUANG Long SHI YueChun GUO RenJia LIU Rui LI LianYan LI SiMin CHEN XiangFei 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,9:2
3Construction of Photoresponsive 3D Structures Based on Triphenylethylene Photochromic Building Blocks显示文摘Photoresponsive materials have been widely used in sensing,bioimaging,molecular switches,information storage,and encryption nowadays.Although a large amount of photoresponsive materials have been reported,the construction of these smart materials into precisely prescribed complex 3D geometries is rarely studied.Here we designed a novel photoresponsive material methyl methacrylate containing triphenylethylene(TrPEF_(2)-MA)that can be directly used for digital light processing(DLP)3D printing.Based on TrPEF_(2)-MA,a series of photoresponsive 3D structures with reversible color switching under ultraviolet/visible light irradiations were fabricated.These complex photoresponsive 3D structures show high resolutions(50μm),excellent repeatability(25 cycles without fatigue),and tunable saturate color degrees.Multicomponent DLP 3D printing processes were also carried out to demonstrate their great properties in information hiding and information-carrying properties.This design strategy for constructing photoresponsive 3D structures is attractive in the area of adaptive camouflage,information hiding,information storage,and flexible electronics.Xiayu Zhang Fukang Liu Beibei Du Rongjuan Huang Simin Zhang Yunfei He Hailan Wang Jingjing Cui Biao Zhang Tao Yu Wei Huang 2022Research2022,,4:1

11Constructed TiO_(2)/WO_(3)heterojunction with strengthened nano-trees structure for highly stable electrochromic energy storage device显示文摘Tungsten trioxide(WO_(3))has been widely regarded as a prospective bifunctional material due to its electrochromic and pseudocapacitive properties,while still facing the dilemma of inadequate cycle stability and trapping-induced degradation.Here,inspired by the trees-strengthening approach,a unique titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))nanorod arrays strengthened WO_(3)nano-trees(TWNTs)heterojunction was rationally designed and constructed.In sharp contrast to the transmittance modulation(ΔT)attenuation of primary WO_(3)nano-trees during cycling,the TWNTs film showed not only excellent electrochromic performance but also fascinating cycle stability(77.35%retention of the initialΔT after 10,000 cycles).Besides,the trapping-induced degradation could be easily rejuvenated by a potentiostatic de-trapping process.An electrochromic energy storage device(EESD)was further assembled based on the TWNTs film to deliver excellentΔT(up to 79.5%at 633 nm),fast switching speed(tc/tb=1.9 s/14.8 s),extremely high coloration efficiency value(443.4 cm^(2)·C^(−1)),and long-term cycle stability(over 10,000 charge/discharge cycles).This innovative study provided in-depth insights into the electrochromism nature and a significant step in the realization of stable electrochromic-energy storage application,paving the way for multifunctional smart windows as well as next-generation optoelectronic devices.Lili Zhao Zhuoan Cai Xiaoyang Wang Wenbo Liao Simin Huang Lingyun Ye Jilie Fang Chunxing Wu Hao Qiu Lei Miao 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,3:1

13Recent Development of Photodeformable Crystals:From Materials to Mechanisms显示文摘Photodeformable materials are a class of molecules that can convert photon energy into mechanical energy,which have attracted tremendous attention in the last few decades.Owing to their unique photoinduced deformable properties,including fast lightresponse and diverse mechanical behaviors,photodeformable materials have exhibited great potential in many practical applications such as actuators,photoswitches,artificial muscles,and bioimaging.In this review,we sort out the current state of photodeformable crystals and classify them into six categories by molecular structures:diarylethenes,azobenzenes,anthracenes,olefins,triarylethylenes,and other systems.Three distinct light-responsive mechanisms,photocyclization,trans-cis isomerization,and photodimerization,are revealed to play significant roles in the molecular photodeformation.Their corresponding photodeformable behaviors such as twisting,bending,hopping,bursting,and curling,as well as the potential applications,are also discussed.Furthermore,the challenges and prospective development directions of photodeformable crystals are highlighted.Cheng Huang Rongjuan Huang Simin Zhang Haodong Sun Hailan Wang Beibei Du Yuxin Xiao Tao Yu Wei Huang 2021Research2021,,1:1

16Chemo-drugs in cell microparticles reset antitumor activity of macrophages by activating lysosomal P450 and nuclear hnRNPA2B1显示文摘Macrophages in tumors(tumor-associated macrophages,TAMs),a major population within most tumors,play key homeostatic functions by stimulating angiogenesis,enhancing tumor cell growth,and suppressing antitumor immunity.Resetting TAMs by simple,efficacious and safe approach(s)is highly desirable to enhance antitumor immunity and attenuate tumor cell malignancy.Previously,we used tumor cell-derived microparticles to package chemotherapeutic drugs(drug-MPs),which resulted in a significant treatment outcome in human malignant pleural effusions via neutrophil recruitments,implicating that drug-MPs might reset TAMs,considering the inhibitory effects of M2 macrophages on neutrophil recruitment and activation.Here,we show that drug-MPs can function as an antitumor immunomodulator by resetting TAMs with M1 phenotype and IFN-βrelease.Mechanistically,drug molecules in tumor MPs activate macrophage lysosomal P450 monooxygenases,resulting in superoxide anion formation,which further amplifies lysosomal ROS production and pH value by activating lysosomal NOX2.Consequently,lysosomal Ca^(2+)signaling is activated,thus polarizing macrophages towards M1.Meanwhile,the drug molecules are delivered from lysosomes into the nucleus where they activate DNA sensor hnRNPA2B1 for IFN-βproduction.This lysosomal-nuclear machinery fully arouses the antitumor activity of macrophages by targeting both lysosomal pH and the nuclear innate immunity.These findings highlight that drug-MPs can act as a new immunotherapeutic approach by revitalizing antitumor activity of macrophages.This mechanistic elucidation can be translated to treat malignant ascites by drug-MPs combined with PD-1 blockade.Keke Wei Huafeng Zhang Shuaishuai Yang Yuxiao Cui Bingxia Zhang Jincheng Liu Liang Tang Yaoyao Tan Simin Liu Shiqi Chen Wu Yuan Xiao Luo Chen Chen Fei Li Junwei Liu Jie Chen Pingwei Xu Jiadi Lv Ke Tang Yi Zhang Jingwei Ma Bo Huang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,2:0

18The linear and nonlinear optical effects of white light显示文摘An overview of our research group’s experimental and theoretical developments is provided on the linear and nonlinear optical effects of white light since 2003. Their work includes the experimental researches on the white light one-dimensional photovoltaic dark spatial solitons and the waveguides and directional couplers induced by them, the circular and elliptic white-light dark spatial solitons and the white-light photorefractive phase masks, two-dimensional white-light photonic lattices and the applications of the white-light dark spatial solitons in the digital image transmission field, the interaction between the two-dimensional white-light dark spatial solitons to enhance or to improve the correlated degree of the white light through the interaction between the white-light beam and coherent dark spatial solitons, the interaction between the one- or two-dimensional white-light dark spatial solitons and the two-dimensional white-light photonic lattices, respectively. We also numerically simulate the interaction between two or more partially incoherent bright spatial solitons and the white bright spatial soliton pairs in the saturated logarithmic nonlinear medium. 19Flexible feeding patterns of copepod Centropages tenuiremis in fluctuating conditions: a possible survival strategy to cope with disturbance显示文摘Centropages tenuiremis is a species with a wide distribution range in disturbed coastal waters.However,due to a lack of dietary information,it remains unclear as to how they maintain such dominance in fluctuating conditions.In this study,C.tenuiremis was collected from the Daya Bay Nuclear Power Plant both in inlet and outfall regions at 06:00,12:00 and 18:00 on April 27,2011 and their in situ diet was analyzed using a PCR protocol targeting 18S ribosomal genes.Thirty-four species of prey organisms were identified totally,including Dinophyta,Baciliariophyta,Viridiplantae,Rhizaria,Apicomplexa,Chordata,Mollusca,Arthropoda and Fungi,indicating an obvious omnivorous feeding habit of C.tenuiremis.Centropages tenuiremis obviously exhibited spatial and temporal variations in diet composition.More plant prey(land plants and phytoplankton)were consumed in the morning(~50%),while more animal prey(metazoans and protozoans)were ingested at midday and night(60%–70%).Furthermore,a more diverse diet was detected in the outfall region(10–11 taxa),where the temperatures were relatively higher and more fluctuating,than in the control region(5–10 taxa).This finding indicated that C.tenuiremis could potentially expand its food spectrum under stressful condition.Specifically,C.tenuiremis exhibited phytoplankton preference(58.62%–67.64%)in the outfall region with a lower omnivory index(0.27–0.35)than in the control region(0.51–0.95).However,phytoplankton density was lower than that in the control region,suggesting a possible herbivorous tendency of C.tenuiremis under elevated temperatures to balance the energy acquirement and feeding effort.The flexible food choices of C.tenuiremis observed here could effectively buffer environmental fluctuations and might be an important survival strategy in coastal ecosystems.Cuilian Xu Simin Hu Zhiling Guo Tao Li Hui Huang Leo Lai Chan Sheng Liu 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,2:0
20Flexible mille-feuille structure electromagnetic interference shielding film with excellent thermal conductivity and Joule heating显示文摘The intelligent electronic devices have urgent demands for electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding films with excellent heat dissipation capability.However,it is challenging to obtain excellent EMI shielding and thermal conductivity performances simultaneously.Herein,inspired by mille-feuille structure,the multifunctional EMI shielding films developed by a layer-by-layer self-assembly and hot-pressing strategy.The ingenious introduction of silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)with large specific surface area and highly conductive into the network formed by TEMPO-oxidized cellulose nanofibrils(TOCNFs)with large aspect ratio to form the TOCNFs/AgNPs.And the graphene nanoplates(GNPs)with high conductivity loss distributed alternately with TOCNFs/AgNPs to construct mille-feuille structure,which had highly efficient conductive network,complete thermally conduction pathway and rich heterogeneous interfaces.Consequently,the designed films presented high electrical conductivity of 8520 S/cm,superb EMI effectiveness(SE)of 98.05 dB,and excellent thermal conductivity of 18.82 W/(m·K).Furthermore,the films possessed outstanding Joule heating performances with low voltages,including high heating temperature(100℃),fast response time(<20 s),and impressive heating stability and reliability.Thus,such high-performance EMI shielding films with fascinating thermal conductivity and Joule heating performances have substantial application in flexible electronics,electromagnetic waves shielding and thermal management.Dingwen Yin Huijuan Xiu Simin Wang Yanfei Pan Na Li Rui Cheng Shaoyan Huang Sha Fan Jinbao Li 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0
