1Mapping wetland changes in China between 1978 and 2008显示文摘Four wetland maps for all China have been produced,based on Landsat and CBERS-02B remote sensing data between 1978 and 2008 (1978,1990,2000 and 2008).These maps were mainly developed by manual interpretation and validated by substantial field investigation in 2009.Based on these maps,we analyzed the 2008 wetland distribution in China and discussed wetland changes and their drivers over the past 30 years.(i) There were about 324097 km 2 of wetlands in 2008,for which inland marshes or swamps were the most common wetland type (35%),with lakes (26%) second.Most of the wetlands were in Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Qinghai and Tibet,occupying about 55% of the national wetland area.(ii) From 1978 to 2008,China's wetland area continually and significantly decreased,by about 33% based on changes in the wetland map.This was in sharp contrast to the increase in artificial wetlands,which increased by about 122%.Inland marshes accounted for the main loss of total wetlands from 1978 to 2000.From 2000 through 2008,riverine and lacustrine wetlands constituted the main wetland loss.Fortunately however,the rate of wetland loss decreased from 5523 to 831 km 2 /a.(iii) The change ratio of lost natural wetlands (including inland and coastal wetlands) to non-wetlands has decreased slightly over the past 30 years.From 1978 to 1990,nearly all natural wetlands (98%) lost were transformed into non-wetlands.However,the ratio declined to 86% from 1990 to 2000,and to 77% from 2000 to 2008.(iv) All Chinese provinces were divided into three groups according to patterns of wetland changes,which could relate to the driving forces of such changes.Tibet was completely different from other provinces,as it was one representative example in which there was a net wetland increase,because of global warming and decreased human activity since 1990.Increased economic development caused considerable wetland loss in most eastern provinces,and artificial wetlands increased.NIU ZhenGuo ZHANG HaiYing WANG XianWei YAO WenBo ZHOU DeMin ZHAO KuiYi ZHAO Hui LI NaNa HUANG HuaBing LI CongCong YANG Jun LIU CaiXia LIU Shuang WANG Lin LI Zhan YANG ZhenZhong QIAO Fei ZHENG YaoMin CHEN YanLei SHENG YongWei GAO XiaoHong ZHU WeiHong WANG WenQing WANG Hong WENG YongLing ZHUANG DaFang LIU JiYuan LUO ZhiCai CHENG Xiao GUO ZiQi GONG Peng 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22:51

6Lightweight and High-Performance Microwave Absorber Based on 2D WS2-RGO Heterostructures显示文摘Two-dimensional(2D)nanomaterials are categorized as a new class of microwave absorption(MA)materials owing to their high specific surface area and peculiar electronic properties.In this study,2D WS2-reduced graphene oxide(WS2-rGO)heterostructure nanosheets were synthesized via a facile hydrothermal process;moreover,their dielectric and MA properties were reported for the first time.Remarkably,the maximum reflection loss(RL)of the sample-wax composites containing 40 wt% WS2-rGO was-41.5 dB at a thickness of 2.7 mm;furthermore,the bandwidth where RL<-10 dB can reach up to 13.62 GHz(4.38-18 GHz).Synergistic mechanisms derived from the interfacial dielectric coupling and multiple-interface scattering after hybridization of WS2 with rGO were discussed to explain the drastically enhanced microwave absorption performance.The results indicate these lightweight WS2-rGO nanosheets to be potential materials for practical electromagnetic wave-absorbing applications.Deqing Zhang Tingting Liu Junye Cheng Qi Cao Guangping Zheng Shuang Liang Hao Wang MaoSheng Cao 2019Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,3:11
7QAAR exploration on pesticides with high solubility:An investigation on sulfonylurea herbicide dimers formed through π–π stacking interactions显示文摘Bioactive compounds could form aggregates that influence the bio-interactive processes. In this letter,based on p–p stacking models, quantitative aggregation–activity relationship(QAAR) studies were carried out on a series of sulfonylurea herbicides with good solubility. Four QAAR/QSAR models were constructed, which indicated that the bioactivity may strongly depend on both the characters of the dimeric aggregates and the monomer. 8Sini powder ameliorates the inflammatory response in rats with stress-induced non-alcoholic fatty liver disease by inhibiting the nuclear factor kappa-B/pyrin domain-containing protein 3 pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the effectiveness of Sini powder for the treatment of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) in rats and the molecular mechanisms involved.METHODS: A rat model of stress-induced NAFLD was established by a combination of long-term tethering and feeding of a high-fat, high-calorie diet. These rats were then intragastrically administered with either simvastatin, Sini powder, or vehicle for 1 week. The body mass and field test scores for each group were recorded weekly. Serum aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase activities, and triglyceride, total cholesterol,and free fatty acid concentrations were measured.Liver tissue histopathology was examined on hematoxylin and eosin-stained paraffin sections and oil red O-stained frozen sections. The hepatic m RNA expression of nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB),NOD-, LRR-, and pyrin domain-containing protein 3(NLRP3), apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing CARD(ASC), and caspase-1 were measured by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). The hepatic protein concentrations of NF-κB and NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, interleukin-1β(IL-1β), interleukin-6(IL-6), and the serum concentrations of IL-1β and IL-6 were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.RESULTS: Compared with the Blank group, rats in the Compound model group showed significant pathologic manifestations of NAFLD, and the expression of NF-κB, NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, IL-1βand IL-6 were significantly higher(all P < 0.01). Both simvastatin and Sini powder significantly ameliorated the NAFLD pathology and the abnormal expression of NF-κB, NLRP3, ASC, caspase-1, IL-1β, and IL-6(all P < 0.01).CONCLUSION: Sini powder inhibits the inflamma-tory response in rats with NAFLD, which is mediated by NF-κB/NLRP3, IL-1β, and IL-6, reduces the effects of psychological stress, and improves lipid metabolism. 9A retrospective prognostic evaluation analysis using the 8th edition of American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC)cancer staging system for luminal A breast cancer显示文摘Objective: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical prognostic value of the 8th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC) staging system for luminal A breast cancer.Methods: Using both the anatomic and prognostic staging in the 8th edition of AJCC cancer staging system, we restaged patients with luminal A breast cancer treated at the Breast Disease Center, Peking University First Hospital from 2008 to 2014. Follow-up data including 5-year disease free survival(DFS), overall survival(OS) and other clinic-pathological data were collected to analyze the differences between the two staging subgroups.Results: This study included 421 patients with luminal A breast cancer(median follow-up, 61 months). The 5-year DFS and OS rates were 98.3% and 99.3%, respectively. Significant differences in 5-year DFS but not OS were observed between different anatomic disease stages. Significant differences were observed in both 5-year DFS and OS between different prognostic stages. Application of the prognostic staging system resulted in assignment of 175 of 421 patients(41.6%) to a different group compared to their original anatomic stages. In total, 102 of 103 patients with anatomic stage IIA changed to prognostic stage IB, and 24 of 52 patients with anatomic stage IIB changed to prognostic stage IB, while 1 changed to prognostic stage IIIB. Twenty-two of 33 patients with anatomic stage IIIA were down-staged to IIA when staged by prognostic staging system, and the other 11 patients were down-staged to IIB. Two patients with anatomic stage IIIB were down-staged to IIIA. Among seven patients with anatomic stage IIIC cancer, two were down-staged to IIIA and four were down-staged to stage IIIB.Conclusions: The 8th edition of AJCC prognostic staging system is an important supplement to the breast cancer staging system. 12Gasdermin D-mediated hepatocyte pyroptosis expands inflammatory responses that aggravate acute liver failure by upregulating monocyte chemotactic protein 1/CC chemokine receptor-2 to recruit macrophages显示文摘BACKGROUND Massive hepatocyte death is the core event in acute liver failure(ALF).Gasdermin D(GSDMD)-mediated pyroptosis is a type of highly inflammatory cell death.However,the role of hepatocyte pyroptosis and its mechanisms of expanding inflammatory responses in ALF are unclear.AIM To investigate the role and mechanisms of GSDMD-mediated hepatocyte pyroptosis through in vitro and in vivo experiments.METHODS The expression of pyroptosis pathway-associated proteins in liver tissues from ALF patients and a hepatocyte injury model was examined by Western blot.GSDMD short hairpin RNA(shRNA)was used to investigate the effects of downregulation of GSDMD on monocyte chemotactic protein 1(MCP1)and its receptor CC chemokine receptor-2(CCR2)in vitro.For in vivo experiments,we used GSDMD knockout mice to investigate the role and mechanism of GSDMD in a D-galactose/lipopolysaccharide(D-Galn/LPS)-induced ALF mouse model.RESULTS The levels of pyroptosis pathway-associated proteins in liver tissue from ALF patients and a hepatocyte injury model increased significantly.The level of GSDMD-N protein increased most obviously(P<0.001).In vitro,downregulation of GSDMD by shRNA decreased the cell inhibition rate and the levels of MCP1/CCR2 proteins(P<0.01).In vivo,GSDMD knockout dramatically eliminated inflammatory damage in the liver and improved the survival of DGaln/LPS-induced ALF mice(P<0.001).Unlike the mechanism of immune cell pyroptosis that involves releasing interleukin(IL)-1βand IL-18,GSDMDmediated hepatocyte pyroptosis recruited macrophages via MCP1/CCR2 to aggravate hepatocyte death.However,this pathological process was inhibited after knocking down GSDMD.CONCLUSION GSDMD-mediated hepatocyte pyroptosis plays an important role in the pathogenesis of ALF,recruiting macrophages to release inflammatory mediators by upregulating MCP1/CCR2 and leading to expansion of the inflammatory responses.GSDMD knockout can reduce hepatocyte death and inflammatory responses,thus alleviating ALF.Hong Li Xue-Ke Zhao Yi-Ju Cheng Quan Zhang Jun Wu Shuang Lu Wei Zhang Yang Liu Ming-Yu Zhou Ya Wang Jing Yang Ming-Liang Cheng 2019World Journal of Gastroenterology2019,25,44:7

15Current and future drug combination strategies based on programmed death-1/programmed death-ligand 1 inhibitors in non-small cell lung cancer显示文摘In recent years,immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs)have made breakthroughs in the field of lung cancer and have become a focal point for research.Programmed death-1(PD-1)or programmed death-ligand 1(PD-L1)inhibitor monotherapy was the first to break the treatment pattern for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC).However,owing to the limited benefit of ICI monotherapy at the population level and its hyper-progressive phenomenon,it may not meet clinical needs.To expand the beneficial range of immunotherapy and improve its efficacy,several research strategies have adopted the use of combination immunotherapy.At present,multiple strategies,such as PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitors combined with chemotherapy,anti-angiogenic therapy,cytotoxic T-lymphocyte-associated protein 4 inhibitors,and radiotherapy,as well as combined treatment with new target drugs,have been evaluated for clinical practice.To further understand the current status and future development direction of immunotherapy,herein,we review the recent progress of ICI combination therapies for NSCLC.Ying Cheng Hui Li Liang Zhang Jing-Jing Liu Chang-Liang Yang Shuang Zhang 2021Chinese Medical Journal2021,,15:6

17New guaiane-type sesquiterpenoid dimers from Artemisia atrovirens and their antihepatoma activity显示文摘Leading by cytotoxicity against HepG2 cells,bioactivity-guided fractionation of the EtOAc fraction from Artemisia atrovirens led to the isolation of 18 new guaianolide dimers,artematrolides A-R and lavandiolides A,B,C,H,and J.Eight compounds(1,4,10,12,13,and 19-21) were unambiguously confirmed by the single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses,and the others were elucidated based on IR,UV,HRESIMS,1 D and 2 D NMR experiments,and comparison of the experimental and calculated ECD data.Structurally,all of them were [4+2] Diels-Alder adducts of two monomeric guaianolides.The isolates were evaluated for their cytotoxicity against three human hepatoma cell lines,and 19 compounds demonstrated cytotoxicity against HepG2,SMMC-7721,and Huh7 cell lines.Especially,compounds 1,12,14,and 15 exhibited cytotoxicity with IC50 values of 4.4,3.8,7.6,and 6.7 μmol/L(HepG2),9.6,4.6,6.6,and 6.0 μmol/L(SMMC-7721),and 7.6,4.5,6.9,and 5.6 μmol/L(Huh7),respectively.Notably,compound 12 showed the most promising activity against three human hepatoma cell lines and dose-dependently inhibited cell migration and invasion,induced G2/M cell cycle arrest and cell apoptosis in HepG2 cells,down-regulated the expression of BCL-2 and PARP-1,and activated PARP-1 to up-regulate the expression of cleaved-PARP-1.Lihua Su Xintian Zhang Yunbao Ma Changan Geng Xiaoyan Huang Jing Hu Tianze Li Shuang Tang Cheng Shen Zhen Gao Xuemei Zhang Ji-Jun Chen 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,6:6

19Histo-and clinico-pathological analysis of a large series of triple-negative breast cancer in a single center in China:Evidences on necessity of histological subtyping and grading显示文摘Objective: To investigate histo-pathological distribution and clinico-pathological significance in a large Chinese triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC) patients serials based on the latest understanding of its clinico-pathological diversity, and to provide more information to clinicians to improve precision of individualized treatment of TNBC.Methods: A retrospective analysis was performed on patients with TNBC at Breast Disease Center, Peking University First Hospital between January 2010 and December 2019. Histo-and clinico-pathological characteristics were analyzed by Chi-square test and Student's t-test, and prognoses were calculated using KaplanMeier method and a Cox proportionate hazards model. Bonferroni correction was used to correct for multiple comparison.Results: Conventional type of TNBC(c TNBC) were identified in 73.7% of 582 TNBC, while special type of TNBC(s TNBC) were 26.3%, including 71 apocrine carcinoma, 20 medullary carcinoma, 31 metaplastic carcinoma, 18 invasive lobular carcinoma, 7 invasive micropapillary carcinoma, 5 adenoid cystic carcinoma and 1 acinic cell carcinoma. Compared to s TNBC, c TNBC was associated with high histologic grade(P<0.001) and lower androgen receptor(AR) expression(P<0.001). TNM stage of low-grade c TNBC was significantly lower than that of high-grade c TNBC(P=0.002). Although no significant difference, there was a trend that the rate of 5-year disease-free survival(DFS) and 5-year overall survival(OS) were longer in high-grade c TNBC than in high-grade s TNBC(P=0.091 and 0.518), and were longer in low-grade s TNBC than in high-grade s TNBC(P=0.051 and0.350).
