1Characteristics of secondary inorganic aerosol and sulfate species in size-fractionated aerosol particles in Shanghai显示文摘Sulfate, nitrate and ammonium(SNA) are the dominant species in secondary inorganic aerosol, and are considered an important factor in regional haze formation. Size-fractionated aerosol particles for a whole year were collected to study the size distribution of SNA as well as their chemical species in Shanghai. SNA mainly accumulated in fine particles and the highest average ratio of SNA to particulate matter(PM) was observed to be 47% in the fine size fraction(0.49–0.95 μm). Higher sulfur oxidation ratio and nitrogen oxidation ratio values were observed in PM of fine size less than 0.95 μm. Ion balance calculations indicated that more secondary sulfate and nitrate would be generated in PM of fine size(0.49–0.95 μm). Sulfur K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES) spectra of typical samples were analyzed. Results revealed that sulfur mainly existed as sulfate with a proportion(atomic basis) more than 73% in all size of PM and even higher at 90% in fine particles. Sulfate mainly existed as(NH4)2SO4 and gypsum in PM of Shanghai. Compared to non-haze days, a dramatic increase of(NH4)2SO4 content was found in fine particles on haze days only, which suggested the promoting impact of(NH4)2SO4 on haze formation. According to the result of air mass backward trajectory analysis, more(NH4)2SO4 would be generated during the periods of air mass stagnation. 2Functional Diversity of CYCLOIDEA-like TCP Genes in the Control of Zygomorphic Flower Development in Lotus japonicus显示文摘CYCLOIDEA (CYC)-like TCP genes play key roles in dorsoventral differentiation of zygomorphic flowers in Papilionoideae legumes. In this study, we analyzed the kew mutants whose flowers lost lateral identity, and investigated the diverse functions of three LjCYC genes during zygomorphic flower development in the model legume Lotus japonicus. We showed that kew1 and kew3 are allelic mutants of LjCYC3, a CYC-like TCP gene. Through transgenic experiments, it was shown that LjCYC1 possesses dorsal activity similar to LjCYC2, and that LjCYC3 alone is sufficient to confer lateral activity, and an epistatic effect between dorsal and lateral activities was identified. Sequence analysis revealed a striking alteration at the 3 end of the LjCYC3 open reading frame (ORF) in comparison with those of LjCYC1 and LjCYC2 ORFs. Furthermore, it was found that LjCYC proteins could interact with each other and possess different activities by means of a transcriptional activity assay. 3Cooling of double crystal monochromator with sagittal focus at SSRF显示文摘In SSRF, the design of 1st crystal cooling geometry of double crystal monochromator with sagittal focus is mainly reported by China. Our simulation indicates that the broadening of the full width at half maximum of the rocking curve of the double crystal monochromator induced by the heat load is about 3.7 μrad, and is in agreement with the experimental value of 5 μrad. 5Tradeoff between heating energy demand in winter and indoor overheating risk in summer constrained by building standards显示文摘Evidence indicates that improvement of thermal performance of building envelope has the potential for aggravating the indoor overheating risk in summer. On the other hand, evolving building standards continue to strengthen the requirements for thermal performance to achieve the energy-saving target. Therefore, this study quantifies the interaction effect between building standards-oriented building design, heating energy demand in winter, and indoor overheating risk in summer. Building databases with different energy efficiency levels are generated using a randomly generated method. Uncertain variables include not only 13 design parameters but also the running state of natural ventilation and external shading. The indoor overheating risk is assessed in terms of severity and duration. Finally, a multi-objective optimization model integrating metamodels and the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm is proposed to balance heating energy demand in winter and indoor overheating risk in summer. Results indicate that building standards tend to aggravate overheating risk in summer: the duration and severity of high-performance buildings increased by 40.6% and 24.2% than that of conventional-performance buildings. However, window ventilation could offset the adverse effect, and mitigation of duration and severity can be up to 85.2% and 62.1% for high-performance buildings. Window ventilation can weaken the conflict between heating energy demand in winter and overheating risk in summer. As heating energy demand increased from 6.1 to 67.3 kWh/m^(2), the overheating risk changes little that the duration of overheating risk decreased from 17.5% to 15.6% and severity decreased from 8.7 ℃ to 8.3 ℃.Ran Wang Shilei Lu Wei Feng Bowen Xu 2021Building Simulation2021,14,4:2
6Petal Development in Lotus japonicus显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated that petal shape and size in legume flowers are determined by two separate mechanisms,dorsoventral (DV) and organ internal (IN) asymmetric mechanisms,respectively.However,little is known about the molecular mechanisms controlling petal development in legumes.To address this question,we investigated petal development along the floral DV axis in Lotus japonicus with respect to cell and developmental biology by comparing wild-type legumes to mutants.Based on morphological markers,the entire course of petal development,from initiation to maturity,was grouped to define 3 phases or 13 stages.In terms of epidermal micromorphology from adaxial surface,mature petals were divided into several distinct domains,and characteristic epidermal cells of each petal differentiated at stage 9,while epidermal cells of all domains were observed until stage 12.TCP and MIXTA-like genes were found to be differentially expressed in various domains of petals at stages 9 and 12.Our results suggest that DV and IN mechanisms interplay at different stages of petal development,and their interaction at the cellular and molecular level guides the elaboration of domains within petals to achieve their ideal shape,and further suggest that TCP genes determine petal identity along the DV axis by regulating MIXTA-like gene expression.Lin Weng Zhaoxia Tian Xianzhong Feng Xin Li Shilei Xu Xiaohe Hu Da Luo Jun Yang 2011Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2011,53,10:1
7Reciprocal translation between SAR and optical remote sensing images with cascaded-residual adversarial networks显示文摘Despite the advantages of all-weather and all-day high-resolution imaging,synthetic aperture radar(SAR)images are much less viewed and used by general people because human vision is not adapted to microwave scattering phenomenon.However,expert interpreters can be trained by comparing side-byside SAR and optical images to learn the mapping rules from SAR to optical.This paper attempts to develop machine intelligence that is trainable with large-volume co-registered SAR and optical images to translate SAR images to optical version for assisted SAR image interpretation.Reciprocal SAR-optical image translation is a challenging task because it is a raw data translation between two physically very different sensing modalities.Inspired by recent progresses in image translation studies in computer vision,this paper tackles the problem of SAR-optical reciprocal translation with an adversarial network scheme where cascaded residual connections and hybrid L1-GAN loss are employed.It is trained and tested on both spaceborne Gaofen-3(GF-3)and airborne Uninhabited Airborne Vehicle Synthetic Aperture Radar(UAVSAR)images.Results are presented for datasets of different resolutions and polarizations and compared with other state-of-the-art methods.The Frechet inception distance(FID)is used to quantitatively evaluate the translation performance.The possibility of unsupervised learning with unpaired/unregistered SAR and optical images is also explored.Results show that the proposed translation network works well under many scenarios and it could potentially be used for assisted SAR interpretation.Shilei FU Feng XU Ya-Qiu JIN 2021Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,2:1

9Risk Factors and Pregnancy Outcome in Women with a History of Cesarean Section Complicated by Placenta Accreta显示文摘Objective:To explore the risk factors and pregnancy outcomes in women with a history of cesarean section complicated by placenta accreta(PA).Methods:This case-control study included clinical data from singleton mothers with a history of cesarean section in 11 public tertiary hospitals in seven provinces of China between January 2017 and December 2017.According to the intraoperative findings after delivery,the study population was divided into PA and non-PA groups.We compared the pregnancy outcomes between the two groups,used multivariate logistic regression to analyze the risk factors for placental accreta.Results:For this study we included 11,074 pregnant women with a history of cesarean section;and of these,869 cases were in the PA group and 10,205 cases were in the non-PA group.Compared with the non-PA group,the probability of postpartum hemorrhage(236/10,205,2.31%vs.283/869,32.57%),severe postpartum hemorrhage(89/10,205,0.87%vs.186/869,21.75%),diffuse intravascular coagulation(3/10,205,0.03%vs.4/869,0.46%),puerperal infection(33/10,205,0.32%vs.12/869,1.38%),intraoperative bladder injury(1/10,205,0.01%vs.16/869,1.84%),hysterectomy(130/10,205,1.27%vs.59/869,6.79%),and blood transfusion(328/10,205,3.21%vs.231/869,26.58%)was significantly increased in the PA group(P<0.05).At the same time,the neonatal birth weight 3250.00(2950.00–3520.00)g vs.2920.00(2530.00–3250.00)g),the probability of neonatal comorbidities(245/10,205,2.40%vs.61/869,7.02%),and the rate of neonatal intensive care unit admission(817/10,205,8.01%vs.210/869,24.17%)also increased significantly(P<0.05).Weight(odds ratio)(OR)=1.03,95%confidence interval(CI):1.01–1.05)),parity(OR=1.18,95%CI:1.03–1.34),number of miscarriages(OR=1.31,95%CI:1.17–1.47),number of previous cesarean sections(OR=2.57,95%CI:2.02–3.26),history of premature rupture of membrane(OR=1.61,95%CI:1.32–1.96),previous cesarean-section transverse incisions(OR=1.38,95%CI:1.12–1.69),history of placenta previa(OR=2.44,95%CI:1.50–3.96),and the combination of prenatal hemorrhage(OR=9.95,95%CI:8.42–11.75)and placenta previa(OR=91.74,95%CI:74.11–113.56)were all independent risk factors for PA.Conclusion:There was an increased risk of adverse outcomes in pregnancies complicated by PA in women with a history of cesarean section,and this required close clinical attention.Weight before pregnancy,parity,number of miscarriages,number of previous cesarean sections,history of premature rupture of membranes,past transverse incisions in cesarean sections,a history of placenta previa,prenatal hemorrhage,and placenta previa were independent risk factors for pregnancies complicated with PA in women with a history of cesarean section.These independent risk factors showed a high value in predicting the risk for placentab accreta in pregnancies of women with a history of cesarean section.Yingyu Liang Lizi Zhang Shilei Bi Jingsi Chen Shanshan Zeng Lijun Huang Yulian Li Minshan Huang Hu Tan Jinping Jia Suiwen Wen Zhijian Wang Yinli Cao Shaoshuai Wang Xiaoyan Xu Ling Feng Xianlan Zhao Yangyu Zhao Qiying Zhu Hongbo Qi Lanzhen Zhang Hongtian Li Lili Du Dunjin Chen 2022Maternal-Fetal Medicine2022,4,3:1

12Experimental investigation on the spray characteristics of agricultural full-cone pressure swirl nozzle显示文摘The spray characteristics of a full-cone pressure swirl nozzle have been investigated in this study.The results were defined by Reynolds number,which focuses on the breakup of liquid film,droplet size,velocity,and liquid volume flux under different Reynolds numbers at the near-field spray.The spray structure was visualized using a high-speed camera,and the characteristics of droplets were measured using a Phase Doppler Anemometer(PDA)in both the radial and axial directions.The tests were carried out at varying spray pressures(0.2 to 1.0 MPa),corresponding to different Reynolds numbers(5369 to 12006).It was found that when the Reynolds number rises,the liquid became more unstable after leaving the nozzle,causing the liquid film to break up faster.According to the measurements of PDA,the coalescence of droplets increased due to the centrifugal effect.What’s more,the velocity of the droplets fluctuates significantly in the radial direction,and the droplets with a smaller particle size had a higher average velocity.From the perspective of liquid distribution,the increase in Reynolds number caused the spray liquid to move in the radial direction gradually.In contrast,the liquid volume distribution changed in the radial direction more obviously than in the axial direction,growing to the maximum along the radial direction and gradually reducing.It can provide a reference for selecting operating parameters for actual agricultural spray operations and the design of electrostatic nozzles through the research on breakup and droplet characteristics.Xiuyun Xue Xufeng Xu Shilei Lyu Shuran Song Xin Ai Nengchao Li Zhenyu Yang Zhen Li 2023International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2023,16,4:0
13The fate of carbon resulting from pore water exchange in a mangrove and Spartina alterniflora ecozone显示文摘Mangrove and salt-marsh wetlands are important coastal carbon sinks.In order to quantify carbon export via pore water exchange and to evaluate subsequent fate of the exported carbon,we carried out continuous observations in a mangrove-Spartina alterniflora ecozone in the Zhangjiang River Estuary,China.The carbon fluxes via pore water exchange were estimated using^(222)Rn and^(228)Ra as tracers to be(2.15±0.63)mol/(m^(2)∙d)for dissolved inorganic carbon(DIC)and(-0.008±0.07)mol/(m^(2)∙d)for dissolved organic carbon(DOC)in the wet season and(3.02±0.65)mol/(m^(2)∙d)for DIC and(-0.15±0.007)mol/(m^(2)∙d)for DOC in the dry season in the mangrove-dominated creek(M-creek),while(2.52±0.82)mol/(m^(2)∙d)for DIC and(0.02±0.09)mol/(m^(2)∙d)for DOC in the dry season in the S.alterniflora-dominated creek(SA-creek).The negative value means that pore water was a sink of DOC in the creek.The total carbon via pore water exchange in the tidal creeks in the mangroves accounted for 41%-55%of the net carbon fixed by mangrove vegetation and was 3-4 times as much as the soil carbon accretion in the mangroves.The exported carbon in the form of DIC contributed all of the carbon outwelling from the M-creek and 79%of the carbon outwelling from the SA-creek,implying effective fixation of carbon by the wetland ecosystem.Moreover,it resulted in 54%in the dry season,75%in the wet season of the carbon dioxide released from the M-creek to the atmosphere,and 84%of the release from the SA-creek.Therefore,quantification of pore water exchange and related soil carbon loss is essential to trace the fate of carbon fixed in intertidal wetlands.Weizhen Jiang Guizhi Wang Qing Li Manab Kumar Dutta Shilei Jin Guiyuan Dai Yi Xu 2023Acta Oceanologica Sinica2023,42,8:0

15Strategies toward Highly Efficient Monolithic Perovskite/Organic Tandem Solar Cells显示文摘Constructing monolithic tandem solar cells (TSCs) is an effective method to break the Shockley–Queisser (S–Q) radiative efficiency limit for single-junction solar cells. Employing the wide bandgap perovskite materials and low bandgap organic materials as absorber layers for front and rear subcells, respectively, to construct perovskite/organic TSCs can complementarily absorb sunlight in ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) range by front perovskite and near-infrared (NIR) range by rear organic molecules, thus reducing the thermalization energy losses. Besides the subcells, the interconnection layer (ICL), which physically and electrically connects the front and rear subcells, is also an important tunnel junction to recombine charges. 16Study on Element Contents in Tobacco Leaves from Different Positions of Tobacco CB-1显示文摘[Objectives]This study was conducted to clarify the differences and abundance or deficiency of various elements in tobacco leaves from different positions of CB-1 in Zhangping City,so as to guide the production of precision fertilization.[Methods]The element contents of CB-1 were determined by an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer.[Results]In terms of the contents of carbon,the upper leaves(45.73%)were significantly higher than the cutters(41.53%),and the lower leaves(43.15%)had no significant differences from both of them.For the content of oxygen element,there was no significant difference between the cutters(44.77%)and the lower leaves(43.40%),both of which were significantly higher than the upper leaves(40.75%).The contents of nitrogen,phosphorus,sulfur,boron and nickel all increased with the increase of the position,and they were significantly higher in the upper leaves than in the cutters and lower leaves.The contents of potassium,calcium,magnesium,chlorine and silicon all decreased with the increase of the position,and the lower leaves were significantly higher than the cutters and upper leaves.The contents of aluminum,titanium and chromium increased significantly with the increase of the position.The contents of strontium,zirconium and arsenic decreased significantly with the increase of the position.The element contents of tobacco leaves had significant or extremely significant differences between different parts of CB-1 in Zhangping City mostly.The contents of nitrogen,potassium,calcium,sulfur,chlorine,molybdenum and nickel in tobacco leaves were appropriate,and the contents of manganese and iron were too high,while the contents of phosphorus and copper were slightly low.The contents of magnesium,silicon,boron and sodium were too low.[Conclusions]This study can guide targeted fertilization and regulation of element contents in the tobacco leaves from different parts in production,and is of great significance to improving the production,quality and industrial availability of CB-1.Caijun XIE Shilei ZHANG Deqing CHEN Penghui LYU Wensheng LIN Jianrong ZHENG Jinchai YU Qiuying CAO Siyi CHENG Xueqin ZHANG Yongxin FENG Zenghan XU 2022Agricultural Biotechnology2022,11,6:0
