| 3 | An area-based position and attitude estimation for unmanned aerial vehicle navigation显示文摘The paper aims to challenge non-GPS navigation problems by using visual sensors and geo-referenced images. An area-based method is proposed to estimate full navigation parameters(FNPs), including attitude, altitude and horizontal position, for unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) navigation. Our method is composed of three main modules: geometric transfer function, local normalized sobel energy image(LNSEI) based objective function and simplex-simulated annealing(SSA) based optimization algorithm. The adoption of relatively rich scene information and LNSEI, makes it possible to yield a solution robustly even in the presence of very noisy cases, such as multi-modal and/or multi-temporal images that differ in the type of visual sensor, season, illumination, weather, and so on, and also to handle the sparsely textured regions where features are barely detected or matched. | 6 | Short-term environmental enrichment exposure induces proliferation and maturation of doublecortin-positive cells in the prefrontal cortex显示文摘Previous studies have demonstrated that doublecortin-positive immature neurons exist predominantly in the superficial layer of the cerebral cortex of adult mammals such as guinea pigs, and these neurons exhibit very weak properties of self-proliferation during adulthood under physiological conditions. To verify whether environmental enrichment has an impact on the proliferation and maturation of these immature neurons in the prefrontal cortex of adult guinea pigs, healthy adult guinea pigs were subjected to short-term environmental enrichment. Animals were allowed to play with various cognitive and physical stimulating objects over a period of 2 weeks, twice per day, for 60 minutes each. Immunofluorescence staining results indicated that the number of doublecortin-positive cells in layer II of the prefrontal cortex was significantly increased after short-term environmental enrichment exposure. In addition, these doublecortin-positive cells co-expressed 5-bromo-2-deoxyuridine(a marker of cell proliferation), c-Fos(a marker of cell viability) and NeuN(a marker of mature neurons). | 7 | Small-scale spatial analysis of intermediate and definitive hosts of Angiostrongylus cantonensis显示文摘Background:Angiostrongyliasis is a food-borne parasitic zoonosis.Human infection is caused by infection with the third-stage larvae of Angiostrongylus cantonensis.The life cycle of A.cantonensis involves rodents as definitive hosts and molluscs as intermediate hosts.This study aims to investigate on the infection status and characteristics of spatial distribution of these hosts,which are key components in the strategy for the prevention and control of angiostrongyliasis.Methods:Three villages from Nanao Island,Guangdong Province,China,were chosen as study area by stratified random sampling.The density and natural infection of Pomacea canaliculata and various rat species were surveyed every three months from December 2015 to September 2016,with spatial correlations of the positive P.canaliculata and the infection rates analysed by ArcGIS,scan statistics,ordinary least squares(OLS)and geographically weighted regression(GWR)models.Results:A total of 2192 P.canaliculata specimens were collected from the field,of which 1190 were randomly chosen to be examined for third-stage larvae of A.cantonensis.Seventy-two Angiostrongylus-infected snails were found,which represents a larval infection rate of 6.1%(72/1190).In total,110 rats including 85 Rattus norvegicus,10 R.flavipectus,one R.losea and 14 Suncus murinus were captured,and 32 individuals were positive(for adult worms),representing an infection rate of 29.1%of the definitive hosts(32/110).Worms were only found in R.norvegicus and R.flavipectus,representing a prevalence of 36.5%(31/85)and 10%(1/10),respectively in these species,but none in R.losea and S.murinus,despite testing as many as 32 of the latter species.Statistically,spatial correlation and spatial clusters in the spatial distribution of positive P.canaliculata and positive rats existed.Most of the spatial variability of the host infection rates came from spatial autocorrelation.Nine spatial clusters with respect to positive P.canaliculata were identified,but only two correlated to infection rates.The results show that corrected Akaike information criterion,R2,R2 adjusted andσ2 in the GWR model were superior to those in the OLS model.Conclusions:P.canaliculata and rats were widely distributed in Nanao Island and positive infection has also been found in the hosts,demonstrating that there was a risk of angiostrongyliasis in this region of China.The distribution of positive P.canaliculata and rats exhibited spatial correlation,and the GWR model had advantage over the OLS model in the spatial analysis of hosts of A.cantonensis. | Qiu-An Hu Yi Zhang Yun-Hai Guo Shan Lv Shang Xia He-Xiang Liu Yuan Fang Qin Liu Dan Zhu Qi-Ming Zhang Chun-Li Yang Guang-Yi Lin | 2018 | Infectious Diseases of Poverty2018,7,1: | 4 |

Nevertheless, it is little known about novel dicationic ionic liquids for tribology applications in the past several years. In this paper, a sequence of novel dicationic ionic liquids based on 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane cations(DABCO) and different anions have been designed and identified. The structures of ILs were confirmed by Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectra, multinuclear(~1H,^(13)C,^(11)B,^(31)P and ^(19)F) magnetic resonance and mass spectrometry. The effects of anion type on thermal properties, wettability, kinematic viscosity and tribological properties were studied. It is found that all of these dicationic ionic liquids as additives exhibit excellent anti-wear and friction-reducing properties in PEG synthetic base oil under boundary lubrication conditions for steel-to-steel contact, which offers great potential for the highly efficient lubricant additives. | 11 | Crustal Stress Evolution over the Past 700 Years in North China and Earthquake Occurrence显示文摘Fault interaction and earthquake occurrence have attracted much attention in seismological community during recent years. Many studies have shown that the rupture of one fault could encourage or discourage earthquake nucleation on a neighboring fault, depending on the relative geometry of the two faults and the earthquake rupture mechanisms. In this paper, we simulate the evolutionary process of cumulative Coulomb failure stress change (CCFSC) in North China since 1303, manifested by secular tectonic stress loading and occurrence of large earthquakes. Secular tectonic stress loading is averaged from crustal strain rates derived from GPS. Fault rupture parameters of historical earthquakes are estimated as follows: the earthquake rupture length and the amount of slip are derived based on their statistical relationships with the earthquake intensity distribution and magnitude, calibrated using parameters of instrumentally measured contemporary earthquakes. The earthquake rake angle is derived based on geologically determined fault orientational parameters and seismically estimated orientation of regional tectonic stresses. Assuming a layered visco-elastic medium, we calculate stress evolution resulting from secular tectonic loading and coseismic and postseismic deformation. On the eve of each large earthquake, the accumulated stress field is projected to the fault surface of that earthquake and the CCFSC is evaluated to assess the triggering effect of CCFSC. Forty-nine earthquakes with M≥6.5 have occurred in North China since 1303. Statistics shows that 39 out of the 48 subsequent events were triggered by positive CCFSC, yielding a triggering rate of 81.3%. If we use the accumulative stress field to evaluate the CCFSC for the M≥5.0 earthquakes that occurred in North China since 1303, we find that 75.5% of those events were triggered. The triggering rate for the M≥5.0 earthquakes after the 1976 Ninghe earthquake is up to 82.1%. The triggering rates can be higher if corrections are made for some aftershocks which were wrongly identified as occurring in stress shadow zones because of errors in parameter estimates of historical earthquakes. Our study shows a very high correlation between positive CCFSC and earthquake occurrences. | 12 | The correlation between rat retinal nerve fiber layer thickness around optic disc by using optical coherence tomography and histological measurements显示文摘AIM:To explore the correlation between the retinal nerve fiber layer(RNFL) thickness by using optical coherence tomography(OCT) and by histological measurements in normal adult rats and optic nerve transected rats.·METHODS:The RNFL thickness of 36 rats was scanned in a circle 3.46mm far from the optic disc by OCT.The two experimental groups were the normal group(n =20 rats) and the optic nerve transected group(n =16 rats).The latter group included 4 groups(n =4 /group)surviving for 1 day,3,5 and 7 days.Then the RNFL thickness of the same retina area was also measured by NF-200 immunohistochemical staining method.Linear regression was used to analyze the correlation between the data obtained from these two methods.·RESULTS:The RNFL thickness of normal right eyes around optic disc by OCT was 72.35 ±5.71μm and that ofthe left eyes was 72.65 ±5.88μm(P =0.074).The RNFL thickness of the corresponding histological section by immunohistochemistry was 37.54 ±4.05μm(right eyes)and 37.38 ±4.23μm(left eyes)(P =0.059).There was a good correlation between the RNFL thickness measured by OCT and that measured by histology(R2=0.8131).After optic nerve transection,the trend of the RNFL thickness was thinner with the prolonged survival time.The correlation of the thickness detected by the above two methods was approximately(R2=0.8265).Value of the RNFL thickness in rats around optic disc measured by OCT was obviously higher than that measured by common histological measurement in normal adult rats and optic nerve transected rats.·CONCLUSION:The RNFL thickness measured by OCT has a strong correlation with that measured by histological method.Through OCT scanning,we found that the thickness of RNFL gradually becomes thinner in a time-dependent manner. | Ju-Fang Huang Hui-Min Yu Lei Shang Ruo-Fei Ma Ngobe Akume Cynthia Yan-Qun Cao Jia Luo Le-Ping Zeng Dan Chen Kun Xiong | 2013 | International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013,6,4: | 2 |
