2Plate convergence in the Indo-Pacific region显示文摘The Indo-Pacific convergence region is the best target to solve the teo remaining challenges of the plate tectonics theory,i.e.,subduction initiation and the driving force of plate tectonics.Recent studies proposed that the Izu-Bonin subduction initiation belongs to spontaneous initiation,which implies that it started from extension,followed by low angle subduction.Numerical geodynamic modeling suggests that the initiation of plate subduction likely occurred along a transform fault,which put the young spreading ridge in direct contact with old oceanic crust.This,however,does not explain the simultaneous subduction initiation in the west Pacific region in the Cenozoic.Namely,the subduction initiations in the Izu-BoninMariana,the Aleutian,and the Tonga-Kermadec trenches are associated with oceanic crusts of different ages,yet they occurred at roughly the same time,suggesting that they were all triggered by a maj or change in the Pacific plate.Moreover,low angle subduction induces compression rather than extension,which requires external compression forces.Given that the famous Hawaiian-Emperor bending occurred roughly at the same time with the onset of westward subductions in the west Pacific,we propose that these Cenozoic subductions were initiated by the steering of the Pacific plate,which are classified as induced initiation.Induced subduction initiation usually occurs in young ocean basins,forming single-track subduction.The closure s of Neo-Tethys Oceans were likely triggered by plume s in the south,forming northward subductions.Interestingly,the Indian plate kept on moving northward more than 50 Ma after the collision between the Indian and Eurasian continents and the break-off of the subducted oceanic slab attached to it.This strongly suggests that slab pull is not the main driving force of plate tectonics,whereas slab sliding is.SUN Weidong ZHANG Lipeng LIAO Renqiang SUN Saijun LI Congying LIU He 2020Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2020,38,4:4

5Enhance the delivery of light energy ultra-deep into turbid medium by controlling multiple scattering photons to travel in open channels显示文摘Multiple light scattering is considered as the major limitation for deep imaging and focusing in turbid media.In this paper,we present an innovative method to overcome this limitation and enhance the delivery of light energy ultradeep into turbid media with significant improvement in focusing.Our method is based on a wide-field reflection matrix optical coherence tomography(RM-OCT).The time-reversal decomposition of the RM is calibrated with the Tikhonov regularization parameter in order to get more accurate reversal results deep inside the scattering sample.We propose a concept named model energy matrix,which provides a direct mapping of light energy distribution inside the scattering sample.To the best of our knowledge,it is the first time that a method to measure and quantify the distribution of beam intensity inside a scattering sample is demonstrated.By employing the inversion of RM to find the matched wavefront and shaping with a phase-only spatial light modulator,we succeeded in both focusing a beam deep(~9.6 times of scattering mean free path,SMFP)inside the sample and increasing the delivery of light energy by an order of magnitude at an ultra-deep(~14.4 SMFP)position.This technique provides a powerful tool to understand the propagation of photon in a scattering medium and opens a new way to focus light inside biological tissues.Jing Cao Qiang Yang Yusi Miao Yan Li Saijun Qiu Zhikai Zhu Pinghe Wang Zhongping Chen 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,5:2

7Commensal microbiota in the digestive tract:a review of its roles in carcinogenesis and radiotherapy显示文摘The human microflora is a complex ecosystem composed of diverse microorganisms mainly distributed in the epidermal and mucosal habitats of the entire body,including the mouth,lung,intestines,skin,and vagina.These microbial communities are involved in many essential functions,such as metabolism,immunity,host nutrition,and diseases.Recent studies have focused on the microbiota associated with cancers,particularly the oral and intestinal microbiota.Radiotherapy,the most effective cytotoxic modality available for solid tumors,contributes to the treatment of cancer patients.Mounting evidence supports that the microbiota plays pivotal roles in the efficacy and prognosis of tumor radiotherapy.Here,we review current research on the microbiota and cancer development,and describe knowledge gaps in the study of radiotherapy and the microbiota.Better understanding of the effects of the microbiome in tumorigenesis and radiotherapy will shed light on future novel prevention and treatment strategies based on modulating the microbiome in cancer patients.Jiali Dong Yuan Li Huiwen Xiao Ming Cui Saijun Fan 2022Cancer Biology & Medicine2022,19,1:1

10Regional unconformities and their controls on hydrocarbon accumulation in Sichuan Basin, sW China显示文摘Based on outcrop,seismic and drilling data,the main regional unconformities in the Sichuan Basin and their controls on hydrocarbon accumulation were systematically studied.Three findings are obtained.First,six regional stratigraphic unconformities are mainly developed in the Sichuan Basin,from the bottom up which are between pre-Sinian and Sinian,between Sinian and Cambrian,between pre-Permian and Permian,between middle and upper Permian,between middle and upper Triassic,and between Triassic and Jurassic.Especially,16 of 21l conventional(and tight)gas fields discovered are believed to have formed in relation to regional unconformities.Second,regional unconformity mainly controls hydrocarbon accumulation from five aspects:(1)The porosity and permeability of reservoirs under the unconformity are improved through weathering crust karstification to form large-scale karst reservoirs;(2)Good source-reservoir-caprock assemblage can form near the unconformity,which provides a basis for forming large gas field;(3)Regional unconformity may lead to stratigraphic pinch-out and rugged ancient landform,giving rise to a large area of stratigraphic and lithologic trap groups;(4)Regional unconformity provides a dominant channel for lateral migration of oil and gas;and(5)Regional unconformity is conducive to large-scale accumulation of oil and gas.Third,the areas related to regional unconformities are the exploration focus of large gas fields in the Sichuan Basin.The pre-Sinian is found with source rocks,reservoir rocks and other favorable conditions for the formation of large gas fields,and presents a large exploration potential.Thus,it is expected to be an important strategic replacement.YANG Weij WEI Guoqi WU Saijun XIE Wuren JIN Hui ZENG Fuying HAO Cuiguo BAI Zhuangzhuang SU Yiqing LI Rong 2023Petroleum Exploration and Development2023,50,3:0
11Identification of a novel COL4A5 mutation in the proband initially diagnosed as Ig AN from a Chinese family with X-linked Alport syndrome显示文摘Alport syndrome(AS) is a hereditary progressive nephropathy characterized by hematuria, ultrastructural lesions of the glomerular basement membrane, ocular lesions and sensorineural hearing loss. Germline mutations of COL4 A5 are associated with X-linked AS with an extreme phenotypic heterogeneity. Here, we investigated a Chinese family with Alport syndrome. The proband was a 9-year-old boy with hematuria and proteinuria. Based on the test results of renal biopsy and immunofluorescence,the proband was initially diagnosed as Ig A nephropathy and the treatment was recommended accordingly. Meanwhile, we found that the treatment outcome was poor. Therefore, for proper clinical diagnosis and appropriate treatment, targeted exome-based next-generation sequencing has been undertaken. We identified a novel hemizygous single nucleotide deletion c.1902 del A in COL4 A5 gene. Segregation analysis identified that this novel mutation is co-segregated among the affected family members but absent in unaffected family members. The clinical diagnosis of the proband was revised as AS accompanied by Ig A nephropathy,which has been rarely reported. 12The protective effects of Xuebijing injection on intestinal injuries of mice exposed to irradiation显示文摘Background:Gastrointestinal(GI)injury is one of the most common side effects of radiotherapy.However,there is no ideal therapy method except for symptomatic treatment in the clinic.Xuebijing(XBJ)is a traditional Chinese medicine,used to treat sepsis by injection.In this study,the protective effects of XBJ on radiation-i nduced intestinal injury(RⅢ)and its mechanism were explored.Methods:The effect of XBJ on survival of irradiated C57BL/6 mice was monitored.Histological changes including the number of crypts and the length of villi were evaluated by H&E.The expression of Lgr5^(+)intestinal stem cells(ISCs),Ki67^(+)cells,villin and lysozymes were examined by immunohistochemistry.The expression of cytokines in the intestinal crypt was detected by RT-PCR.DNA damage and apoptosis rates in the small intestine were also evaluated by immunofluorescence.Results:In the present study,XBJ improved the survival rate of the mice after 8.0and 9.0 Gy total body irradiation(TBI).XBJ attenuated structural damage of the small intestine,maintained regenerative ability and promoted proliferation and differentiation of crypt cells,decreased apoptosis rate and reduced DNA damage in the intestine.Elevation of IL-6 and TNF-α was limited,but IL-1,TNF-β and IL-10 levels were increased in XBJ-treated group after irradiation.The expression of Bax and p53 were decreased after XBJ treatment.Conclusions:Taken together,XBJ provides a protective effect on RⅢby inhibiting inflammation and blocking p53-related apoptosis pathway.Yinping Dong YuanYang Zhang Xinyue Wang Wenxuan Li Junling Zhang Lu Lu Hui Dong Saijun Fan Aimin Meng Deguan Li 2022Animal Models and Experimental Medicine2022,5,6:0
13Bacterial communities associated with hydromedusa Gonionemus vertens in diff erent regions in Chinese coastal waters显示文摘Bacteria communities in cnidarian jellyfi sh can be harmful to many important aquaculture species,as they can be key vectors of bacterial pathogens.However,our knowledge of bacterial communities associated with jellyfi sh in culture ponds and their potential roles in the regulation of aquaculture species remains unclear.In this study,sequencing based on the bacterial 16S rRNA gene was used to investigate the composition and variation of the bacterial communities associated with hydromedusa Gonionemus vertens in sea cucumber culture ponds and natural marine environment.The associated bacterial communities of G.vertens from the culture ponds in the Yellow Sea and Bohai Sea had signifi cantly diff erent compositions,when compared with those from ambient seawater environment.Furthermore,bacterial communities associated with G.vertens had similar diversity and composition in culture ponds and natural marine environment in the Yellow Sea.There were 31 unique bacterial biomarkers identifi ed in three locations.The major communities were highly abundant in Kiloniellales,Octadecabacter,Polynucleobacter,and Polaribacter,and are related to the environmental information processing.Pathogen candidates such as Vibrionales and Chlamydiales had notably low relative abundances(<1%).The venom of the jellyfi sh was considered responsible for damage to the aquaculture.This study provides important data to help assess the impact of cnidarians-associated bacterial communities on pond aquaculture and the infl uences on material cycling and energy fl ow in marine ecosystems.Wenjin HAO Lei WANG Fan LI Tingting SUN Saijun PENG Yongxue LI Jianmin ZHAO Zhijun DONG 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,4:0

15A Novel Approach for Evaluation of Food Functions and Safety Applied in RR GM Soybeans显示文摘[Objective] This study aimed to evaluate the healthy risk of genetically modified (GM) soybeans by using a novel approach for functions and safety of food.[Method] Different from traditional evaluation of substantial equivalence, three great innovations were performed in this study, involving in basic diet, evaluation approaches and principle, as well as the clarification of connotation differences between absolute and relative mass of organs. Hence a novel BDI-GS (Benefit- Damage Index and General Score) evaluation approach was established and applied in comparative evaluation between RR GM and natural soybeans. Healthy male ICR mice during linear growth were selected; experimental mice were fed with 15% RR GM soybeans and 15% natural soybeans blending maize meal diets, and control mice were fed with single maize meal diet for 13 d; the mice were dissected after collecting blood samples and perfectly obtained nine organs or tissues to record their masses and conduct statistical analyses.[Result] Plenty of matching information was obtained through simple design. The growth performance of treated mice was markedly of individual differences, some mice were thwarted due to regular intake of RR soybeans. Meanwhile, the functions and safety of RR soybeans were markedly lowered in overall nutritional and healthy effects than those of natural soybeans expressed in GS values, and presents some declines in nutrition and health of thymus, pancreas and spermary; especially, it can make thymus immune (P<0.05) in markedly lower level than that of natural soybeans.[Conclusion] Therefore, major troubles and risks of RR soybeans intake are of personal risks in different degrees, in addition, it may increase sub-health and related chronic epidemics risks, and herein it will presents certain safety issues. 16Genetic diversity,population structure and core collection analysis of Hunan tea plant germplasm through genotyping-by-sequencing显示文摘Tea is considered to be a well-known and widely consumed beverage and Hunan province is rich in tea plant germplasm.In order to better conserve and utilize Hunan tea plant resources,110 tea accessions from seven geographical origins were used to assess genetic diversity of Hunan tea plant germplasm through genotyping by sequencing(GBS)technology.As a result,a total of 311,044 high-quality single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)markers were obtained.Population structure,phylogenetic relationships and principal component analysis(PCA)divided the entire accessions into three groups.The genetic diversity and population differentiation analysis showed that the mean observed heterozygosity(Ho)ranged from 0.16 to 0.24,while the mean polymorphic information content(PIC)ranged from 0.14 to 0.17,and mean minor allele frequency(MAF)ranged from 0.11 to 0.14.Analysis of molecular variance(AMOVA)indicated that 81.38%of the total variance was derived from within populations,which suggested a rich genetic diversity in Hunan tea germplasms.Furthermore,a core tea germplasm set was developed,which was comprised of 22 tea plant accessions and maintained the whole genetic diversity of the entire collection.This work should be valuable for conservation and utilization of tea germplasm in Hunan。Feiyi Huang Jihua Duan Yu Lei Zhen Liu Yankai Kang Yi Luo Yingyu Chen Youyong Li Shuoqian Liu Saijun Li Zhonghua Liu 2022Beverage Plant Research2022,2,1:0
17Detrital zircon U-Pb age perspective on the sediment provenance and its geological significance of sandstones in the Lamandau region, SW Borneo, Indonesia显示文摘The Southwest Borneo(SW Borneo)block belongs to Sundaland and is the oldest continental fragment of Borneo that is believed to derive from the Gondwana land.The U-Pb isotopic dating ages of 113 detrital zircons from sandstones of the Ketapang Complex in SW Borneo range from 3298 Ma to 78 Ma,and show six major age populations:2476-2344 Ma,2016-1831 Ma,1296-759 Ma,455-406 Ma,262-210 Ma,and 187-78 Ma.The youngest age of these detrital zircons is 78 Ma,indicating that the maximum depositional age of the sandstones is Campanian.Permian-Late Cretaceous detrital zircons are interpreted as having been derived from the nearby Schwaner Mountains and the Permian-Triassic tin belt granitoids in Southeast Asia(SE Asia).Archean-Carboniferous detrital zircons have a continental Gondwana provenance,with their age spectra similar to those of northwestern Australia,indicating that these zircons could be derived from the orogenic belts and cratons in northwestern and central Australia.The provenance of these detrital zircons in this study indicates the SW Borneo block was located on the northwestern margin of Australia during the Paleozoic,in the region of the Banda Embayment.SW Borneo rifted from Australia and moved northward in the Early Jurassic,and this block was added to Sundaland in the Early Cretaceous.The Luconia-Dangerous Grounds continental fragment derived from East Asia collided with SW Borneo after subduction in the Cretaceous,which induced the widespread magmatism in the Schwaner Mountains in SW Borneo.Shuang LI Saijun SUN Xiaoyong YANG Weidong SUN Zhaojian WU 2022Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2022,40,2:0
18Measurement of rate constant for gas-phase reaction of DDVP with OH radical by using LP-FTIR显示文摘Pollution caused by organic pesticides has received increasing attention. Until now, studies on organic pesticides pollution are mainly focused on soil and water. For reactions of organic pesticides in gas-phase, there are very little research results reported.
