1生姜提取物6-姜酚对对乙酰氨基酚致小鼠肝脏毒性的保护作用(英文)显示文摘目的:研究生姜提取物6-姜酚对对乙酰氨基酚致小鼠肝脏毒性的保护作用。方法:实验组小鼠在腹腔注射对乙酰氨基酚(900 mg/kg)30 min后,分别给予6-姜酚(30 mg/kg)或标准对照药水飞蓟素(25 mg/kg)。注射对乙酰氨基酚4 h后处死小鼠,检测血清中天冬氨酸氨基转移酶、丙氨酸氨基转移酶、碱性磷酸酶活性,总胆红素的含量及肝匀浆中脂质过氧化及抗氧化情况,如超氧化物歧化酶、过氧化氢酶、谷胱甘肽过氧化物酶、谷胱甘肽还原酶、谷胱甘肽转移酶活性及还原型谷胱甘肽含量。结果:与对照组相比,6-姜酚及水飞蓟素均能显著降低对乙酰氨基酚引起的小鼠血清天冬氨酸氨基转移酶、丙氨酸氨基转移酶、碱性磷酸酶活性及总胆红素含量的升高(P<0.05)。此外,6-姜酚及水飞蓟素有效控制了肝脏内丙二醛的形成及各种抗氧化酶的降低(P<0.05)。结论:本研究的结果证实了6-姜酚具有与水飞蓟素相当的保肝作用。Evan Prince Sabina Samuel Joshua Pragasam Suresh Kumar Mahaboobkhan Rasool 2011中西医结合学报2011,9,11:3

3PIM kinase inhibition:co-targeted therapeutic approaches in prostate cancer显示文摘PIM kinases have been shown to play a role in prostate cancer development and progression,as well as in some of the hallmarks of cancer,especially proliferation and apoptosis.Their upregulation in prostate cancer has been correlated with decreased patient overall survival and therapy resistance.Initial efforts to inhibit PIM with monotherapies have been hampered by compensatory upregulation of other pathways and drug toxicity,and as such,it has been suggested that co-targeting PIM with other treatment approaches may permit lower doses and be a more viable option in the clinic.Here,we present the rationale and basis for cotargeting PIM with inhibitors of PI3K/mTOR/AKT,JAK/STAT,MYC,stemness,and RNA Polymerase I transcription,along with other therapies,including androgen deprivation,radiotherapy,chemotherapy,and immunotherapy.Such combined approaches could potentially be used as neoadjuvant therapies,limiting the development of resistance to treatments or sensitizing cells to other therapeutics.To determine which drugs should be combined with PIM inhibitors for each patient,it will be key to develop companion diagnostics that predict response to each co-targeted option,hopefully providing a personalized medicine pathway for subsets of prostate cancer patients in the future.Sabina Luszczak Christopher Kumar Vignesh Krishna Sathyadevan Benjamin S.Simpson Kathy A.Gately Hayley C.Whitaker Susan Heavey 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:1
4An Assessment of Yarsagumba(Ophiocordyceps sinensis) Collection in Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve, Nepal显示文摘Yarsagumba(Ophiocordyceps sinensis), an endemic species to the Himalayas and Tibetan Plateau, is one of the most valuable medicinal mushrooms in the world. In Nepal, it is distributed largely in isolated patches of alpine grasslands of 3,000-5,000 m elevation. Although it is reported from 27 northernmost districts of Nepal, the local distribution pattern of this species is largely unknown.Furthermore, the collection system and local management regime of this species are not well documented. We conducted a field survey at Dhorpatan Hunting Reserve(DHR) among the different stakeholders in January-June 2012 to assess collection sites, patterns and trends and to understand the management regime. We estimated that about 75 kg of Yarsagumba is collected every year from DHR and the amount has been declining since 2008. To manage the resource, locals have initiated regulating the collection by issuing permits, taxing to the collectors, and monitoring the activities of harvesters with the help of park authorities. 5Use of intravascular lithotripsy in non-coronary artery lesions显示文摘BACKGROUND Intravascular lithotripsy(IVL)is a novel technique increasingly used for plaque modification and endovascular revascularization in patients with severe calcification and peripheral artery disease.However,much of the available literature on IVL is focused on its use in coronary arteries,with relatively limited data on non-coronary artery use.AIM To analyze the safety and efficacy of current IVL use in non-coronary artery lesions,as reported in case reports and case series.METHODS We searched EMBASE,PubMed,and Reference Citation Analysis databases for case reports and case series on IVL use in peripheral artery disease.We then extracted variables of interest and calculated the mean and proportions of these variables.RESULTS We included 60 patients from 33 case reports/case series.Ninety-eight percent of the cases had IVL usage in only one blood vessel,while four had the IVL used in two vessels(2.0%),resulting in 64 Lesions treated with IVL.The mean age of the patients was 73.7(SD 10.9).IVL was successfully used in severe iliofemoral artery stenosis(51.6%),severe innominate,subclavian,and carotid artery stenosis(26.7%combined),and severe mesenteric vessel stenosis(9.4%).Additionally,IVL was successfully used in severe renal(7.8%)and aortic artery(4.7%)stenosis.There were complications in 12%of the cases,with dissection being the commonest.CONCLUSION IVL has successfully used in plaque modification and endovascular revascularization in severely calcified and challenging lesions in the iliofemoral,carotid,subclavian,aorta,renal,and mesenteric vessels.The most severe but transient complications were with IVL use in the aortic arch and neck arteries.Chukwuemeka Anthony Umeh Ashley Stratton Tifani Wagner Shipra Saigal Krystal Sood Raghav Dhawan Cory Wagner Jessica Obi Sabina Kumar Tsung Han Scottie Ching Rahul Gupta 2023World Journal of Cardiology2023,15,8:0
