Xinghaiornis lini gen. et sp. nov. is relatively large and characterized by a long, toothless rostrum and an elevated pedal digit I. The design of the skull and feet suggests that this bird was likely a mud-prober. | 2 | Comparative analysis by simulating and testing pole impact for hot stamping front crossbeam of automobile显示文摘Hot stamping 22MnB5 steel plate with ultra-high strength has been widely used for body structural members in consideration of automobile safety and lightweight.This paper presents a verification program of simulating and testing pole impact in order to verify if the front crossbeam reinforcement assembly can meet the design requirements,reduce the overall vehicle simulation and test cost and shorten the operation period.In the same condition,the simulation proved conforming to the design requirements;however,the bumper cracked at the impacting point in the course of pole impact test.The analysis of the crack by optical microscope,Vickers and scanning electron microscope indicates that mixture of ferrite,bainite and martensite was produced in the weld heat-affected zone of the 340/590DP tow hook holder and the 22MnB5 front crossbeam;therefore,their hardness and mechanical property were reduced obviously,so that they fractured when impacted.No welding process with continuous weld but spot welding or other bonding method may be employed for the reason that the capacity of the 22MnB5 steel plate in the weld heat-affected zone was reduced obviously. | Ma Fangwu Yao Zaiqi Liu Qiang Wang Xiaona Zhao Fuquan Li Fangfang Lin Jianping | 2012 | Engineering Sciences2012,10,6: | 2 |
| 3 | Impacts of land disturbance and restoration on runoff production and sediment yield in the Chinese Loess Plateau显示文摘Land disturbance and land restoration are important factors influencing runoff production and sediment yield in the semi-arid loess regions of China. This study compared the runoff production and sediment yield during the early stage after land disturbance(ESLD) with those during restoring stage after land disturbance(RSLD). Grey relational analysis was used to analyse the importance of each one of the influencing factors(vegetation, rainfall, soil and topography) in affecting the runoff production and sediment yield. Our results showed that during ESLD, topography was the most critical factor controlling the runoff production, while soil was the most important factor controlling the sediment yield. During RSLD, vegetation was more important in affecting runoff production, while rainfall was more important in affecting sediment yield. In additional, this study demonstrated that both the runoff production and the sediment yield can be effectively reduced by restoring vegetation on severely-disturbed lands, thus providing an important theoretical basis for better implementations of the Grain for Green Program. | 6 | Transcriptome and co-expression network analyses provide insights into fruit shading that enhances carotenoid accumulation in pomelo(Citrus grandis)显示文摘Carotenoids are indispensable for human health,and citrus fruit are a crucial source of dietary carotenoids.Bagging,an important orchard practice to enhance fruit economic value,is widely used in many horticultural crops,including citrus fruit.The bagged‘Majiayou’pomelo(Citrus grandis)produces vivid deeper red pulp,a fantastic agronomic trait,but the underlying molecular regulatory mechanism remains largely unexplored.Here,the enhancement of carotenoids,especially lycopene,was confirmed by HPLC analysis of carotenoids in the pulp of bagged fruit and controls.qRT-PCR analysis of the 14 carotenoid pathway genes further revealed that upregulated PSY and downregulated CCD1 expression in bagged fruit could directly enhance the accumulation of carotenoids.In addition,RNA-seq analysis identified 311 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in the bagged fruit and controls in five developmental stages.Weighted gene co-expression network analysis(WGCNA)identified 13 critical candidate genes among the DEGs,which are closely associated with lycopene accumulation.The underlying regulatory mechanism of these candidate genes on the transcription of carotenoid pathway genes in the bagged fruit was discussed.Considering that the candidate genes were involved in the corresponding metabolic pathways,the increase in sucrose content and decrease in ABA in bagged fruit were also identified,implying that these candidate genes may be indirectly related to carotenoid enhancement in pulp by regulating phytohormones,primary metabolism,and stress responses.The results provide new insights into the potential regulatory mechanism of lycopene enhancement in the pulp of bagged‘Majiayou’pomelo,facilitating breeding and orchard management efforts to improve the nutritional quality and esthetic value of citrus,and perhaps other fruit crops. | Qihang Jiang Junli Ye Kaijie Zhu Fangfang Wu Lijun Chai Qiang Xu Xiuxin Deng | 2022 | Horticultural Plant Journal2022,8,4: | 1 |

| 9 | Reduced He ion irradiation damage in ZrC-based high-entropy ceramics显示文摘Excellent irradiation resistance is the basic property of nuclear materials to keep nuclear safety.The high-entropy design has great potential to improve the irradiation resistance of the nuclear materials,which has been proven in alloys.However,whether or not high entropy can also improve the irradiation resistance of ceramics,especially the mechanism therein still needs to be uncovered.In this work,the irradiation and helium(He)behaviors of zirconium carbide(ZrC)-based high-entropy ceramics(HECs),i.e.,(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)W_(0.2))C,were investigated and compared with those of ZrC under 540 keV He ion irradiation with a dose of 1×10^(17) cm^(−2) at room temperature and subsequent annealing.Both ZrC and(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)W_(0.2))C maintain lattice integrity after irradiation,while the irradiation-induced lattice expansion is smaller in(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)W_(0.2))C(0.78%)with highly thermodynamic stability than that in ZrC(0.91%).After annealing at 800℃,ZrC exhibits the residual _(0.2)0%lattice expansion,while(Zr_(0.2)Ti_(0.2)Nb_(0.2)Ta_(0.2)W_(0.2))C shows only 0.10%.Full recovery of the lattice parameter(a)is achieved for both ceramics after annealing at 1500℃.In addition,the high entropy in the meantime brings about the favorable structural evolution phenomena including smaller He bubbles that are evenly distributed without abnormal coarsening or aggregation,segregation,and shorter and sparser dislocation.The excellent irradiation resistance is related to the high-entropy-induced phase stability,sluggish diffusion of defects,and stress dispersion along with the production of vacancies by valence compensation.The present study indicates a high potential of high-entropy carbides in irradiation resistance applications. | Xiao-Ting Xin Weichao Bao Xin-Gang Wang Xiao-Jie Guo Ying Lu Chenxi Zhu Ji-Xuan Liu Qiang Li Fangfang Xu Guo-Jun Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,5: | 0 |
