Towards 6G wireless communication networks:vision, enabling technologies, and new paradigm shifts显示文摘The fifth generation(5G)wireless communication networks are being deployed worldwide from 2020 and more capabilities are in the process of being standardized, such as mass connectivity,ultra-reliability,and guaranteed low latency.However,5G will not meet all requirements of the future in 2030 and beyond, and sixth generation(6G)wireless communication networks are expected to provide global coverage, enhanced spectral/energy/cost efficiency, better intelligence level and security, etc. To meet these requirements,6G networks will rely on new enabling technologies,i.e.,air interface and transmission technologies and novel network architecture, such as waveform design, multiple access, channel coding schemes,multi-antenna technologies, network slicing,cell-free architecture, and cloud/fog/edge computing. Our vision on 6G is that it will have four new paradigm shifts.First,to satisfy the requirement of global coverage,6G will not be limited to terrestrial communication networks, which will need to be complemented with non-terrestrial networks such as satellite and unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)communication networks, thus achieving a space-airground-sea integrated communication network.Second, all spectra will be fully explored to further increase data rates and connection density, including the sub-6GHz,millimeter wave(mmWave),terahertz(THz),and optical frequency bands.Third, facing the big datasets generated by the use of extremely heterogeneous networks, diverse communication scenarios, large numbers of antennas, wide bandwidths, and new service requirements,6G networks will enable a new range of smart applications with the aid of artificial intelligence(AI)and big data technologies.Fourth, network security will have to be strengthened when developing 6G networks. This article provides a comprehensive survey of recent advances and future trends in these four aspects.Clearly,6G with additional technical requirements beyond those of 5G will enable faster and further communications to the extent that the boundary between physical and cyber worlds disappears. | Xiaohu YOU Cheng-Xiang WANG Jie HUANG Xiqi GAO Zaichen ZHANG Mao WANG Yongming HUANG Chuan ZHANG Yanxiang JIANG Jiaheng WANG Min ZHU Bin SHENG Dongming WANG Zhiwen PAN Pengcheng ZHU Yang YANG Zening LIU Ping ZHANG Xiaofeng TAO Shaoqian LI Zhi CHEN Xinying MA Chih-Lin I Shuangfeng HAN Ke LI Chengkang PAN Zhimin ZHENG Lajos HANZO Xuemin(Sherman)SHEN Yingjie Jay GUO Zhiguo DING Harald HAAS Wen TONG Peiying ZHU Ganghua YANG Jun WANG Erik GLARSSON Hien Quoc NGO Wei HONG Haiming WANG Debin HOU Jixin CHEN Zhe CHEN Zhangcheng HAO Geoffrey Ye LI Rahim TAFAZOLLI Yue GAO HVincent POOR Gerhard P.FETTWEIS Ying-Chang LIANG | 2021 | Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,1: | 122
Toward Intelligent Machine Tool显示文摘With the development of modern information technology-and particularly of the new generation of artificial intelligence(AI)technology-new opportunities are available for the development of the intelligent machine tool(IMT).Based on the three classical paradigms of intelligent manufacturing as defined by the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the concept, characteristics, and systemic structure of the IMT are presented in this paper.Three stages of machine tool evolution-from the manually operated machine tool(MOMT)to the IMT-are discussed, including the numerical control machine tool(NCMT),the smart machine tool(SMT),and the IMT.Furthermore, the four intelligent control principles of the IMT-namely,autonomous sensing and connection, autonomous learning and modeling, autonomous optimization and decision-making,and autonomous control and execution-are presented in detail. This paper then points out that the essential characteristic of the IMT is to acquire and accumulate knowledge through learning, and presents original key enabling technologies, including the instruction-domain-based analytical approach, theoretical and big-data-based hybrid modeling technology, and the double-code control method.Based on this research,an intelligent numerical control(INC)system and industrial prototypes of IMTs are developed.Three intelligent practices are conducted, demonstrating that the integration of the new generation of AI technology with advanced manufacturing technology is a feasible and convenient way to advance machine tools toward the IMT. | Jihong Chen Pengcheng Hu Huicheng Zhou Jianzhong Yang Jiejun Xie Yakun Jiang Zhiqiang Gao Chenglei Zhang | 2019 | Engineering2019,5,4: | 12
Comparisons of microstructure homogeneity, texture and mechanical properties of AZ80 magnesium alloy fabricated by annular channel angular extrusion and backward extrusion显示文摘This paper provided an efficient single pass severe plastic deformation(SPD)method, annular channel angular extrusion(ACAE),for fabricating AZ80 magnesium alloy shell part. The effect of ACAE process on the microstructure homogeneity, texture, and mechanical properties of extruded part was experimentally investigated. For comparison, conventional backward extrusion(BE)was also conducted on processing AZ80 part with same specification. The results showed that ACAE process has a better capacity to refine the microstructure and dramatic improve the deformation homogeneity of the extruded part than BE process.Due to two strong shear deformations were implemented,ACAE process could also concurrently modify the basal texture more notably than BE process. In particular,a bimodal texture was found in ACAE extruded part, which was greatly related to the enhanced synergetic action of basal slip and secondaryslip caused by the effective shear stress.More uniform and superior hardness along the thickness and height of part were achieved via ACAE process.Further surveying of tensile tests also showed that the part fabricated by ACAE process exhibited significantly higher and far more homogeneous tensile properties with an excellent balance of strength and ductility. The remarkable enhanced tensile properties of ACAE extruded part could be primarily attributed to the significant grain refinement, which provided a powerful grain boundary strengthening effect and meaningfully suppressed the development of twin-sized cracks during tensile deformation. It was established that ACAE process seemed to be a very promising single pass SPD method for manufacturing Mg-based alloy shell parts with more homogeneous microstructure and superior performance. | Xi Zhao Shuchang Li Zhimin Zhang Pengcheng Gao Shuailing Kan Fafa Yan | 2020 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2020,8,3: | 10
Xa7, a new executor R gene that confers durable and broad-spectrum resistance to bacterial blight disease in rice显示文摘Bacterial blight(BB)is a globally devastating rice disease caused by Xanthomonas oryzae pv.oryzae(Xoo).The use of disease resistance(R)genes in rice breeding is an effective and economical strategy for the control of this disease.Nevertheless,a majority of R genes lack durable resistance for long-term use under global warming conditions. Here,we report the isolation of a novel executor R gene,Xa7,that confers extremely durable,broad-spectrum,and heat-tolerant resistance to Xoo.The expression of Xa7 was induced by incompatible Xoo strains that secreted the transcription activator-like effector(TALE)AvrXa7 or PthXo3,which recognized effector binding elements(EBEs)in the Xa7 promoter.Furthermore,Xa7 induction was faster and stronger under high temperatures.Overexpression of Xa7 or co-transformation of Xa7 with avrXa7 triggered a hypersensitive response in plants.Constitutive expression of Xa7 activated a defense response in the absence of Xoo but inhibited the growth of transgenic rice plants. In addition, analysis of over 3000 rice varieties showed that the Xa7 locuswas found primarily in the indica and aus subgroups.A variation consisting of an 11-bp insertion and a base substitution(G to T)was found in EBEAvrXa7 in the tested varieties, resulting in a loss of Xa7 BB resistance.Through a decade of effort,we have identified an important BB resistance gene and characterized its distinctive interaction with Xoo strains;these findings will greatly facilitate research on the molecular mechanism of Xa7-mediated resistance and promote the use of this valuable gene in breeding. | Xifeng Chen Pengcheng Liu Le Mei Xiaoling He Long Chen Hui Liu Shurong Shen Zhandong Ji Xixi Zheng Yuchen Zhang Zhenyu Gao Dali Zeng Qian Qian Bojun Ma | 2021 | Plant Communications2021,2,3: | 9
Bioaccumulation of Heavy Metal in Wild Growing Mushrooms from Liangshan Yi Nationality Autonomous Prefecture,China显示文摘The heavy metal bioaccumulation levels of 13 species of mushrooms were studied. 13 different species of wild mush-rooms growing in China were analyzed for Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd, and As. Contents of Cu, Zn, Cd and Pb in mushroom and Cu, Zn in soil were tested by atomic absorption spectrometer (AAS), and As in samples by atomic fluorescent light (AFL). Contents of Cd and Pb in soil were analyzed by graphite furnace AAS. The results showed that contents of Cu, Pb, Cd, and As in Termitomyces microcarpus were the highest in the tested mushroom samples, which were 135.00, 13.28, 65.30, and 1.60 mg·kg-1 (dry biomass) respectively, and the corresponding bioconcentration factor (BCF) for Cu and Cd was 57 and 1 674 separately, which was the highest data in 13 mushroom species. The capability of Boletus griseus for Cd accumulation was very strong with BCF of 300. when people consume the wild edible mushrooms, contents of Cd and Pb should be greatly considered. | ZHANG Dan GAO Tingyan MA Pei LUO Ying SU Pengcheng | 2008 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2008,13,3: | 9
Construction of a macromolecular structural model of Chinese lignite and analysis of its low-temperature oxidation behavior显示文摘The aim of this paper is to analyze the change in the active structure of lignite during the process of lowtemperature oxidation by constructing a molecular structure model for lignite. Using quantum computation combined with experimental results of proximate analysis, ultimate analysis, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), a structural model for the large molecular structure was constructed. By analyzing the bond lengths in the model molecule, the evolution law for the active structure of lignite was predicted for the process of low-temperature oxidation. In low-temperature oxidation, alkanes and hydroxyls are the primary active structures observed in lignite, though ether may also react. These active functional groups react with oxygen to release heat, thereby speeding up the reaction between coal and oxygen. Finally, the content of various functional groups in the process of lignite low-temperature oxidation was analyzed by infrared analysis, and the accuracy of the model was verified. | Xianliang Meng Mingqiang Gao Ruizhi Chu Zhenyong Miao Guoguang Wu Lei Bai Peng Liu Yuanfang Yan Pengcheng Zhang | 2017 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2017,25,9: | 8
Long-term monitoring revealed fish assemblage zonation in the Three Gorges Reservoir显示文摘Reservoirs are important artificial ecosystems that modify the hydrological and ecological characteristics of a river. Knowledge of the basic characteristics of fish assemblages in reservoirs is a first step toward the development of effective conservation policies. We used the information collected over a 10-year period (2006-2015) to assess the structure of the fish assemblages in the Three Gorge Reservoir (TGR) in a river-dam gradient. Three fish zones were detected in TGR. Species richness was the highest in the upper zone and lowest in the lower zone. The riverine zones were dominated by rheophilic species Coreius guichenoti and Pelteobagrus vachelli. The transitional zones were dominated by Coreius heterodon and Rhinogobio cylindricus. The lacustrine zones were dominated by eurytopic species Hypophthalmichthys molitrix, Aristichthys nobilis, Hemiculter bleekeri and Cyprinus carpio. For the functional characteristics, fish assemblages in riverine and transitional zones were dominated by insectivorous species, equilibrium strategists and rheophilic species (e.g., Coreius heterodon and Coreius guichenoti). In lacustrine zones, the fish assemblage was dominated by habitat generalists common to lakes and reservoirs (e.g., Hemiculter bleekeri, Hypophthalmichthys molitrix, Aristichthys nobilis). Moreover, 18 exotic species (e.g., Protosalanx hyalocranius, Ictalurus punctatus, Megalobrama amblycephala, Tilapia) were collected in TGR, most of which only existed in the lacustrine zone. The results highlight the importance of freely flowing riverine reaches for conserving native fish in the upper Changjiang River and adaptive management strategies for fisheries in TGR. | LIN Pengcheng GAO Xin LIU Fei LI Mingzheng LIU Huanzhang | 2019 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,4: | 5
The histone methyltransferase EZH2 primes the early differentiation of follicular helper T cells during acute viral infection显示文摘Epigenetic modifications to histones dictate the differentiation of naïve CD4^(+) T cells into different subsets of effector T helper(TH)cells. The histone methyltransferase enhancer of zeste homolog 2(EZH2)has been implicated in the mechanism regulating the differentiation of TH1,TH2 and regulatory T(Treg)cells. However, whether and how EZH2 regulates follicular helper T(TFH)cell differentiation remain unknown.Using a mouse model of acute lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus(LCMV)infection,we observed abundant EZH2 expression and associated H3K27me3 modifications preferentially in the early committed virus-specific TFH cells compared to those in TH1 cells.Ablation of EZH2 in LCMV-specific CD4^(+) T cells leads to a selective impairment of early TFH cell fate commitment, but not late TFH differentiation or memory TFH maintenance.Mechanistically,EZH2 specifically stabilizes the chromatin accessibility of a cluster of genes that are important for TFH fate commitment, particularly B cell lymphoma 6(Bcl6),and thus directs TFH cell commitment. Therefore,we identified the chromatin-modifying enzyme EZH2 as a novel regulator of early TFH differentiation during acute viral infection. | Xiangyu Chen Guoshuai Cao Jialin Wu Xinxin Wang Zhiwei Pan Jianbao Gao Qin Tian Lifan Xu Zhirong Li Yaxing Hao Qizhao Huang Pengcheng Wang Minglu Xiao Luoyingzi Xie Shupei Tang Zhenyu Liu Li Hu Jianfang Tang Ran He Li Wang Xinyuan Zhou Yuzhang Wu Mengjie Chen Beicheng Sun Bo Zhu Jun Huang Lilin Ye | 2020 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2020,17,3: | 4
Large-scale Multi-modal Pre-trained Models: A Comprehensive Survey显示文摘With the urgent demand for generalized deep models, many pre-trained big models are proposed, such as bidirectional encoder representations(BERT),vision transformer(ViT),generative pre-trained transformers(GPT),etc.Inspired by the success of these models in single domains(like computer vision and natural language processing),the multi-modal pre-trained big models have also drawn more and more attention in recent years. In this work,we give a comprehensive survey of these models and hope this paper could provide new insights and helps fresh researchers to track the most cutting-edge works.Specifically,we firstly introduce the background of multi-modal pre-training by reviewing the conventional deep learning,pre-training works in natural language process, computer vision, and speech. Then,we introduce the task definition, key challenges, and advantages of multi-modal pre-training models(MM-PTMs),and discuss the MM-PTMs with a focus on data, objectives, network architectures, and knowledge enhanced pre-training.After that,we introduce the downstream tasks used for the validation of large-scale MM-PTMs,including generative, classification, and regression tasks. We also give visualization and analysis of the model parameters and results on representative downstream tasks. Finally,we point out possible research directions for this topic that may benefit future works. In addition,we maintain a continuously updated paper list for large-scale pre-trained multi-modal big models:http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asf0wkuwwnbxvx6pwx.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/wangxiao5791509/MultiModal_BigModels_Survey. | Xiao Wang Guangyao Chen Guangwu Qian Pengcheng Gao Xiao-Yong Wei Yaowei Wang Yonghong Tian Wen Gao | 2023 | Machine Intelligence Research2023,20,4: | 3
WoT/SDN:Web of Things Architecture Using SDN显示文摘Wo T(Web of Things) integrates smart devices into Web by reusing and extending Web standards. While Web technology makes the developers' job easier,it faces security, management and efficiency challenges. We propose Wo T/SDN,the architecture of resource oriented Wo T built on SDN(Software Defined Network),in which applications could be developed through resource subscription and Mashup with the programmability provided by SDN. The key components are designed, including Security and Management Controller(SMC),various atomic services and resource subscription syntax. Three applications covering device management, data access and security protection are demonstrated. Compared to traditional resource-oriented Wo T systems, our test results show that SDN,with its logically centralized control capability and awareness of flow forwarding, provides new opportunity to improve performance, simplify management and enhance security for Wo T. | QIU Xiaofeng LIU Wenmao GAO Teng HE Xinxin WEN Xutao CHEN Pengcheng | 2015 | China Communications2015,12,11: | 2
Regulation of aerobic glycolysis to decelerate tumor proliferation by small molecule inhibitors targeting glucose transporters显示文摘Dear Editor,Different from normal differentiated cells, metabolic reprogramming was spotted in cancer cells, due to increased demand for energy and macromolecule synthesis during their rapid proliferation(Hanahan and Weinberg,2011;Pavlova and Thompson,2016).Most cancer cells prefer anaerobic glycolysis even with oxygen in the environment due to its higher speed to produce macromolecular materials required for biosynthesis(Vander Heiden et al.,2009;DeBerardinis and Chandel,2016).But to compensate for the lower efficiency of anaerobic glycolysis in producing ATP,these cancer cells demand much higher glucose supply(Warburg,1956;Vander Heiden et al.,2009).These metabolic characteristics point to the huge demand of cancer cells for carbohydrate substrates, which creates the possibility of treating tumors by exploiting this feature(Patra et al.,2013;DeBerardinis and Chandel,2016). | Meng Gao Jian Huang Xin Jiang Yafei Yuan Huanhuan Pang Shuchen Luo Nan Wang Chengbo Yao Zuwan Lin Debing Pu Shuo Zhang Pengcheng Sun Zhuoyi Liu Yu Xiao Qian Wang Zeping Hu Hang Yin | 2020 | Protein & Cell2020,11,6: | 2
Second order potential vorticity and its potential applications显示文摘A new invariant, the second order potential vorticity(SPV), is derived in this paper. SPV is the dot product of vorticity and the potential vorticity(PV) gradient, and is proven conservative for a compressible, adiabatic and frictionless atmosphere. Research shows that the new invariant may be used to indicate the evolution of PV, because SPV includes all the information that determines PV evolution: the wind field, and the PV gradient. Furthermore, SPV is capable of diagnosing heavy precipitation because of the strong signals it presents in areas of heavy rainfall. SPV also shows great potential as a comprehensive conserved quantity for indicating the dynamical tropopause and baroclinic instability. | GAO ShouTing XU PengCheng LI Na ZHOU YuShu | 2014 | Science China Earth Sciences2014,57,10: | 2
New Evidence for Improving Omega Estimation by Explicitly Considering Horizontal Divergence显示文摘It is well known that the quasi-geostrophic(QG) omega equation with only two contributors respectively associated with vorticity advection(VA) and temperature advection is derived for midlatitude synoptic-scale systems only. Based on reliable reanalysis data, new evidence revealed by cyclonic and anticyclonic cases indicates that forecasters might sometimes experience problems by paying too much attention to the 500-hPa VA when estimating vertical motions not only in subtropical systems but also in systems meeting all the assumptions of the QG omega equation. Our investigations also showed that explicitly considering the vertical profiles of horizontal divergence could allow for better interpretation of vertical motions and weather in these real cases, suggesting that this equation might not be sufficient due to the presence of only two horizontaldivergence-related(HDR) mechanisms and the absence of other HDR mechanisms, e.g., frictional force, mountain barriers, diabatic/adiabatic processes, and acceleration/deceleration of air flows. | YUAN Zhuojian QI Jindian GAO Shouting FENG Yerong XU Pengcheng WU Naigeng | 2014 | Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2014,31,2: | 2
Chemical synthesis and structural analysis of guanylate cyclase C agonist linaclotide显示文摘Guanylate cyclase C(GC-C) is an important receptor protein expressed by intestinal epithelial cells, and its dysregulation leads to severe intestinal diseases. Linaclotide is a 14-amino acid peptide approved by the FDA for the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome with constipation(IBS-C), which activates guanylate cyclase C to accelerate intestinal transit. Drug molecule design based on structural information plays a crucial role and the activity of linaclotide still need to improve, while the structure of linaclotide remains unknown. In this work, linaclotide and its D-enantiomer were obtained through Fmoc solid phase peptide synthesis method and co-crystalized through racemic crystallization. The crystal structure showed that linaclotide has a tight, three-beta turns structure immobilized by three pairs of disulfide bonds. | Chenchen Chen Shuai Gao Qian Qu Pengcheng Mi Anjin Tao Yi-Ming Li | 2018 | Chinese Chemical Letters2018,29,7: | 1
Eff ects of oxytetracycline dihydrate and sulfamethoxazole on Microcystis aeruginosa and Chlamydomonas microsphaera显示文摘The increasing use of pharmaceuticals has become a major environmental issue in China. The presence of antibiotics in water may have deleterious eff ects on non-target aquatic organisms such as microalgae. In this study,a cyanobacterium and an alga species in surface waters,Microcystis aeruginosa and Chlamydomonas microsphaera, were exposed to 0,0.1,0.5,1.0,2.0,5.0,10.0,and 20.0 mg/L of oxytetracycline dihydrate(OXY)and sulfamethoxazole(SMZ)for 96 h to determine the eff ects of these antibiotics on the growth and surface morphology. Moreover, the photosynthetic activity and the contents of superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA),and protein were measured to examine the biochemical characteristics of M.aeruginosa and C.microsphaera under OXY and SMZ stress. The eff ects of both antibiotics on the growth of both species were concentration-dependent and characterized by low-dose stimulation and high-dose inhibition.C.microsphaera was more sensitive to both antibiotics than M.aeruginosa was.The algal cell membranes of both species disintegrated after exposure to a high concentration of OXY.All of the physiological parameters measured in this study were relatively stable at low concentrations of OXY and SMZ.After exposure to high concentrations of OXY and SMZ,photosynthetic activity decreased signifi cantly, whereas lipid peroxidation and the abundance of SOD,MDA,and protein increased signifi cantly.Thus,low-dose antibiotics may increase algal blooms in eutrophic waters. | Xudong ZHOU Xincheng JIANG Shan GAO Zhenjia WAN Pengcheng GAO | 2021 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2021,39,1: | 1
