| 1 | Generation and manipulation of chiral terahertz waves in the three-dimensional topological insulator Bi2Te3显示文摘Arbitrary manipulation of broadband terahertz waves with flexible polarization shaping at the source has great potential in expanding numerous applications,such as imaging,information encryption,and all-optical coherent control of terahertz nonlinear phenomena.Topological insulators featuring unique spinmomentum-locked surface state have already exhibited very promising prospects in terahertz emission,detection,and modulation,which may lay a foundation for future on-chip topological insulator-based terahertz systems.However,polarization-shaped terahertz emitters based on topological insulators with an arbitrarily manipulated temporal evolution of the amplitude and the electric-field vector direction have not yet been explored.We systematically investigated the terahertz radiation from topological insulator Bi2Te3 nanofilms driven by femtosecond laser pulses and successfully realized the generation of efficient chiral terahertz waves with controllable chirality,ellipticity,and principal axis.The convenient engineering of the chiral terahertz waves was interpreted by a photogalvanic effect(PGE)-induced photocurrent,while the linearly polarized terahertz waves originated from linear PGE-induced shift currents.Our work not only provides further understanding of femtosecond coherent control of ultrafast spin currents but also describes an effective way to generate spin-polarized terahertz waves at the source. | Haihui Zhao Xinhou Chen Chen Ouyang Hangtian Wang Deyin Kong Peidi Yang Baolong Zhang Chun Wang Gaoshuai Wei Tianxiao Nie Weisheng Zhao Jungang Miao Yutong Li Li Wang Xiaojun Wu | 2020 | Advanced Photonics2020,2,6: | 6 |
| 2 | LncRNA TUG1 mediates lipopolysaccharide-induced proliferative inhibition and apoptosis of human periodontal ligament cells by sponging miR-132显示文摘Emerging evide nee shows that the long non coding RNA taurine-upregulated gene 1(TUG1)plays pivotal roles in regulating biological properties and functions of parenchyma cells in various types of disease processes.However,the mechanism underlying the effects of TUG1 on cell proliferation and apoptosis of human periodontal ligament cells(PDLCs)in periodontitis is undefined.In this study,we explored the functions of TUG1 and its underlying mechanisms in the inflammatory process induced by Porphyromonas gingivalis-derived lipopolysaccharide(LPS)in PDLCs.Our results showed that TUG1 had a decreased expression in both periodontal ligament(PDL)tissues with period ontitis and PDLCs un der a LPS-i nduced inflammatory condition,and TUG1 expressi on was n egatively correlated with miR-132 expressi on in period on titis-affected PDL tissues.Furthermore,we found that TUG1 overexpression in PDLCs alleviated LPS-induced proliferative inhibition and apoptosis promotion,while TUG1 knockdown had the opposite effect.In addition,miR-132 inhibitor alleviated TUG1 knockdown?induced inhibition of proliferation and in crease of apoptosis in PDLCs un der inflammatory con ditions in duced by LPS.These fin dings indicated that TUG1 has an enormous potential in regulating cell proliferation and apoptosis of PDLCs during periodontitis and may provide an effective therapeutic target for periodontitis to reduce the damage caused by inflammatory reactions. | Ying Han Fang Wang Longquan Shao Peidi Huang Yue Xu | 2019 | Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,12: | 4 |
| 3 | Monolithic superaligned carbon nanotube composite with integrated rewriting, actuating and sensing multifunctions显示文摘Multifunctionality has become a mainstream trend in the development of smart clothing and flexible wearable devices.Nevertheless,it remains a grand challenge to realize multiple functions,such as sensing,actuating and information displaying,in one single multifunctional material.Here,we present one multifunctional integration strategy by employing monolithic superaligned carbon nanotube(SACNT)composite,which can leverage three different functions through fascinating features of SACNT.Firstly,by using thermochromic dye as a color-memorizing component and SACNT as a photothermal converter,the composite film can be utilized as a flexible rewritable medium.It demonstrates excellent rewriting performances(reversibility>500 times).Secondly,the composite can be tailored to fabricate an actuator,when its length direction is along the SACNT alignment.The actuator shows a bending-morphing when illuminated by near-infrared light.The morphing is attributed to a large difference in volume change between the SACNT and polymer when the SACNT absorbs the optical energy and heats the composite.Thirdly,owing to the unique anisotropy of SACNT,the composite is easily to be stretched in the direction perpendicular to the SACNT alignment,accompanied by a change in electrical resistance.Therefore,the composite is able to be used as a strain sensor.Finally,we fabricate two smart wearable devices to demonstrate the applications,which realize the functions of human-motion detection(sensing)and rewritable information display(rewriting)simultaneously.This multifunctional SACNT composite is expected to have potential applications in the next-generation wearable devices,smart clothing and so on. | Peidi Zhou Wei Zhang Luzhuo Chen Jian Lin Zhiling Luo Changhong Liu Kaili Jiang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,7: | 2 |
