1Application of bioactive hydrogels combined with dental pulp stem cells for the repair of large gap peripheral nerve injuries显示文摘Due to the limitations in autogenous nerve grafting or Schwann cell transplantation,large gap peripheral nerve injuries require a bridging strategy supported by nerve conduit.Cell based therapies provide a novel treatment for peripheral nerve injuries.In this study,we first experimented an optimal scaffold material synthesis protocol,from where we selected the 10%GFD formula(10%GelMA hydrogel,recombinant human basic fibroblast growth factor and dental pulp stem cells(DPSCs))to fill a cellulose/soy protein isolate composite membrane(CSM)tube to construct a third generation of nerve regeneration conduit,CSM-GFD.Then this CSM-GFD conduit was applied to repair a 15-mm long defect of sciatic nerve in a rat model.After 12 week post implant surgery,at histologic level,we found CSM-GFD conduit could regenerate nerve tissue like neuron and Schwann like nerve cells and myelinated nerve fibers.At physical level,CSM-GFD achieved functional recovery assessed by a sciatic functional index study.In both levels,CSM-GFD performed like what gold standard,the nerve autograft,could do.Further,we unveiled that almost all newly formed nerve tissue at defect site was originated from the direct differentiation of exogeneous DPSCs in CSM-GFD.In conclusion,we claimed that this third-generation nerve regeneration conduit,CSM-GFD,could be a promising tissue engineering approach to replace the conventional nerve autograft to treat the large gap defect in peripheral nerve injuries.Lihua Luo Yan He Ling Jin Yanni Zhang Fernando P.Guastaldi Abdullkhaleg A.Albashari Fengting Hu Xiaoyan Wang Lei Wang Jian Xiao Lingli Li Jianming Wang Akon Higuchi Qingsong Ye 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,3:11
2Preparation and application of amino functionalized mesoporous nanofiber membrane via electrospinning for adsorption of Cr^(3+) from aqueous solution显示文摘Novel amino(-NH 2) functionalized mesoporous polyvinyl pyrrolidone(PVP)/SiO 2 composite nanofiber membranes were fabricated by a one-step electrospinning method using poly(vinyl alcohol) and tetraethyl orthosilicate(TEOS) mixed with cationic surfactant,cetyltrimethyl ammonium bromide(CTAB) as the structure directing agent.Ureidopropyltriethoxysilane was used for functionalization of the internal pore surfaces.The membranes were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(HRTEM) images,X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR),element analyzer and N 2 adsorption-desorption isotherms.The nanofiber diameters,average pore diameters and surface areas were 100-700 nm,2.86 nm and 873.62 m 2 /g,respectively.These mesoporous membranes functionalized with-NH 2 groups exhibited very high adsorptions properties based on the adsorption of Cr 3+ from an aqueous solution.Equilibrium adsorption was achieved after approximately 20 min and more than 97% of chromium ions in the solution were removed.The membrane could be regenerated through acidification.Ahmed A.Taha Junlian Qiao Fengting Li Bingru Zhang 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,4:6
3Preparation of monolayer-assembled fluorescent film and its sensing performances to hidden nitroaromatic explosives显示文摘Pyrene was chemically assembled on a glass plate surface in a monolayer manner via spacers con-taining triethylenetetramine (TETA) subunits. It has been demonstrated that the fluorescence emission of the film is sensitive to the presence of trace amount of nitroaromatic compound (NAC) vapors. As discovered in the present work, the response selectivity of the pyrene-functionalized film depends on the length of the spacer, the vapor pressure of a given NAC, and the quencher size. The film shows faster response to those quenchers which have higher vapor pressure and smaller size. Compared to the film with shorter spacers, the present film with longer flexible spacers shows a slower response to the NACs, but higher selectivity to the quencher size. Additionally, the detection limits to common ex-plosives in vapor phase, 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene (TNT) and 2,4-dinitrotoluene (DNT), are 7.14×10-12 and 5.49×10-11 g·mL-1, respectively. 4Hierarchical porous induced competent removal of low concentration azo dye molecules by generating a leachy crystalline structure H-MIL-53(Fe)显示文摘The development in technology of synthetic azo dyes,has led to excessive water resources pollution.Eve n at lower concentration they can impart the quality of water and human life.Herein,we have developed a novel synthesis strategy via introducing salicylic acid(SA)for the synthesis of a leachy crystalline material H-MIL-53(Fe)with hierarchical pores(HP)and exposed coordination unsaturated sites(CUS),which had higher surface area and larger pore volume than the as synthesized MIL-53(Fe).Due to these characteristics,H-MIL-53(Fe)was competent removal of orange G(OG,one of the frequently used azo dyes)with equilibrium in 300 min and the maximum adsorption capacity of 163.9 mg/g.The adsorption mechanism of OG onto H-MIL-53(Fe)was mostly based on electrostatic attraction between CUS of HMIL-53(Fe)along with HP as active species to OG diffusion and bind.By comparing H-MIL-53(Fe)with other adsorbents for OG adsorption,it is undoubtedly that H-MIL-53(Fe)can be used as a promising adsorbent for OG removal from aqueous solutions.Tao Feng Jean Pierre Bavumiragira Mumbi Anne Wambui Daniel Manaye Kabtamu Krisztina László Ying Wang Fengting Li 2020Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,10:2
5Selective electroreduction of nitrate to ammonia via NbWO_(6)perovskite nanosheets with oxygen vacancy显示文摘Electrocatalytic nitrate reduction to ammonia(NRA)under ambient conditions is significant for carbonneutral synthetic fuels.Nevertheless,the lack of efficient electrocatalysts with tunable nanostructure for NRA remains a grand challenge.Herein,Nb WO_(6)nanosheets with oxygen vacancy(NbWO_(6-x))was demonstrated via thermal treatment and exfoliation with NH_(3)selectivity of 86.8%and Faradaic efficiency of85.7%toward NRA.^(1)H nuclear magnetic resonance spectra coupled with^(15)N isotope labeling experiments proved that NH_(3)originated from NO_(3)^-.The function of oxygen vacancy was revealed by computational studies in NRA.Moreover,the reaction mechanism and pathway of NRA could be deduced based on the results of online differential electrochemical mass spectrometry(DEMS).This work provides a selective NH_(3)generation strategy to decarbonize the energy-chemical sector,bridging the gap between batteries and biofuels.Tao Feng Fengting Li Xiaojun Hu Ying Wang 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:2

8Design of antibacterial peptide-like conjugated molecule with broad spectrum antimicrobial ability显示文摘Increasing multidrug-resistant(MDR) superbugs emerge worldwide causing a public health crisis. Consequently, it is urgent to find new antibiotics with efficient broad-spectrum antimicrobial activity. By virtue of versatility in molecular design, a new peptide-like cell membrane-broken molecule, oligo-(7,7′-bifluoren-benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole)(OFBT) possessing a conjugated backbone and eight pendant guanidyl moieties was designed and synthesized. OFBT exhibits favorable broad-spectrum of antimicrobial activity to pathogens including Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, and fungi with the minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)below 3.0 μM.
