2The Red Edge Parameters of Different Wheat Varieties Under Different Fertilization and Irrigation Treatments显示文摘The dynamics of red edge parameters at different growth stages of wheat canopy was studied.The red edge position moved to the longer wavelength from erecting stage to heading stage, and returned to the original wavelength direction from grain-filling stage to maturity stage. The leaf total nitrogen content (LTN)is positively related to red edge amplitude (d λ red) and NIR platform amplitude (d λNIRP) and the correlation coefficient improved as growth stage extended. The chlorophyll content (TChl) is negatively related to d λ red from erecting stage to the elongation stage, and positively related to d λ red from heading stage to milky maturity stage. TChl is also positively related to d λNIRP. The leaf area index (LAI) is positively related to d λ red and d λNIRP, and the correlation coefficient improved as growth stage extended. It was concluded that d λ red and d λNIRP can be used as the indicators of winter wheat growth state, and guide the fertilization and irrigation decision making. 4A Modified max-log-MAP Decoding Algorithm for Turbo Decoding显示文摘Turbo decoding is iterative decoding, and the MAP algorithm is optimal in terms of performance in Turbo decoding. The log MAP algorithm is the MAP executed in the logarithmic domain, so it is also optimal. Both the MAP and the log MAP algorithm are complicated for implementation. The max log MAP algorithm is derived from the log MAP with approximation, which is simply compared with the log MAP algorithm but is suboptimal in terms of performance. A modified max log MAP algorithm is presented in this paper, based on the Taylor series of logarithm and exponent. 5Microstructural evolution of aluminum alloy during friction stir welding under different tool rotation rates and cooling conditions显示文摘The microstructural evolution during friction stir welding(FSW) has long been studied only using one single welding parameter. Conclusions were usually made based on the final microstructure observation and hence were one-sided. In this study, we used the 'take-action' technique to freeze the microstructure of an Al-Mg-Si alloy during FSW, and then systematically investigated the microstructures along the material flow path under different tool rotation rates and cooling conditions. A universal characteristic of the microstructural evolution including four stages was identified, i.e. dynamic recovery(DRV), dislocation multiplication, new grain formation and grain growth. However, the dynamic recrystallization(DRX)mechanisms in FSW depended on the welding condition. For the air cooling condition, the DRX mechanisms were related to continuous DRX associated with subgrain rotation and geometric DRX at high and low rotation rates, respectively. Under the water cooling condition, we found a new DRX mechanism associated with the progressive lattice rotation resulting from the pinning of the second-phase particles.Based on the analyses of the influencing factors of grain refinement, it was clearly demonstrated that the delay of DRV and DRX was the efficient method to refine the grains during FSW. 7Effect of Rotation Rate on Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of FSW Mg-Zn-Y-Zr Alloy Joints显示文摘Friction stir welding (FSW) of Mg-Zn-Y-Zr plates with 6 mm in thickness was successfully carried out under a wide range of rotation rates of 600-1200 r/min with a constant traverse speed of 100 mm/min. After FSW, the coarse grains in the parent material (PM) were changed into fine equiaxed recrystallized grains at the nugget zone (NZ). Furthermore, the coarse Mg-Zn-Y particles (W-phase) were broken up and dispersed homogenously into the Mg matrix. With increasing rotation rates, the size of the W-phase particles at the NZ significantly decreased, but the recrystallized grain size tended to increase. The hardness values of the NZs for all the FSW joints were higher than those of the PM, and the lowest hardness values were detected in the heat affected zone (HAZ). The fracture occurred in the thermo-mechanical affected zone (TMAZ) on the advancing side for all the FSW joints in the tensile test, due to the incompatibility of the plastic deformation between the NZ and TMAZ caused by remarkably different orientation of grains and W-phase particles. 8Studies on the Catalytic Properties of Magnesia Supported on γ-Alumina显示文摘We have shown that MgO can be dispersed on γ Al 2O 3 with different loadings. The observed dispersion capacity of MgO on the surface of γ Al 2O 3 is higher than the theoretical monolayer dispersion value. The surface area and the maximum in the pore size distribution gradually decrease with the increase in MgO content at low loadings. The surface area and the maximum in the pore size distribution of MgO/ γ Al 2O 3 decrease more rapidly when the MgO content is large because the pores of γ Al 2O 3 become blocked. When small amounts of MgO are dispersed on the surface of γ Al 2O 3, the catalyst is very active and shows a good selectivity for the synthesis of glycol ethers.JIAO Qing ze, ZHAO Yun, LI Xiao dan, EVANS D. 10The Effect of Super Volcanic Eruptions on Ozone Depletion in a Chemistry–Climate Model显示文摘With the gradual yet unequivocal phasing out of ozone depleting substances(ODSs), the environmental crisis caused by the discovery of an ozone hole over the Antarctic has lessened in severity and a promising recovery of the ozone layer is predicted in this century. However, strong volcanic activity can also cause ozone depletion that might be severe enough to threaten the existence of life on Earth. In this study, a transport model and a coupled chemistry–climate model were used to simulate the impacts of super volcanoes on ozone depletion. The volcanic eruptions in the experiments were the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption and a 100 × Pinatubo size eruption. The results show that the percentage of global mean total column ozone depletion in the 2050 RCP8.5 100 × Pinatubo scenario is approximately 6% compared to two years before the eruption and 6.4% in tropics. An identical simulation, 100 × Pinatubo eruption only with natural source ODSs, produces an ozone depletion of 2.5% compared to two years before the eruption, and with 4.4% loss in the tropics.
