4Specific anti-tumor effect induced by attenuated Salmonella typhimurium vaccine expressing extracellular region of vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 2显示文摘The purposes of this research were to study the stable expression of exogenous gene encoding therapeutic protein in attenuated Salmonella typhimurium, observe the metabolism of oral gene vaccine carried by attenuated Salmonella typhimurium in BALB/c mouse, and investigate the feasibility of prevention and treatment of tumors by the recombinant bacteria. Recombinant plasmid pcDNA3.1+ VEGFR2(n1-7) was transformed into competent attenuated Salmonella typhimurium SL3261 to develop oral DNA vaccine SL3261-pcDNA3.1+VEGFR2(n1-7). To observe whether the exogenous gene can be expressed in the recombinant bacteria, PCR was performed to amplify the CMV promoter of the eukaryotic expression vector as the proof of stable expression of exogenous protein; transmission elec- tron microscopy (TEM) was applied to observe the morphology of the recombinant bacteria to confirm that the exogenous gene has no impact on the growth of the bacteria, and then BALB/c mice were immunized with the gene vaccine. After inoculation of the gene vaccine, the recombinant bacteria SL3261 could be detected in the tissues such as small intestine, colon, liver and spleen. And then, mice in each group were challenged with tumor cells. The results of animal experiment showed that tumor growth of the mice in experimental group was inhibited and survival time of immunized mice was prolonged compared with control groups. A higher lymphocyte infiltration in tumors from animals treated with DNA vaccine was observed. Immunohistochemical analysis of tumor samples revealed an en- hanced accumulation of CD8+ cytotoxic T lymphocytes, as well as an increase in CD4+ cells in the tumors of animals treated with the oral gene vaccine compared to tumors from control group mice. Ultrastructure of the tumor tissue showed that tumor cells in the samples of the immunized mice were well-differentiated. Our research confirmed that the exogenous gene can be stably expressed in the attenuated Salmonella typhimurium and has no impact on the growth of the recombinant bacteria; the exogenous gene can de delivered to the host by attenuated Salmonella typhimurium to produce anti-tumor effect with no obvious cytotoxity to the host. In this study, it is established that attenuated Salmonella typhimurium could be used as a vector for oral gene vaccine, and our study provided a theoretical basis for the body distribution and the metabolism of the recombinant bacteria. 9Generative artificial intelligence and its applications in materials science:Current situation and future perspectives显示文摘Generative Artificial Intelligence(GAI)is attracting the increasing attention of materials community for its excellent capability of generating required contents.With the introduction of Prompt paradigm and reinforcement learning from human feedback(RLHF),GAI shifts from the task-specific to general pattern gradually,enabling to tackle multiple complicated tasks involved in resolving the structure-activity relationships.Here,we review the development status of GAI comprehensively and analyze pros and cons of various generative models in the view of methodology.The applications of task-specific generative models involving materials inverse design and data augmentation are also dissected.Taking ChatGPT as an example,we explore the potential applications of general GAI in generating multiple materials content,solving differential equation as well as querying materials FAQs.Furthermore,we summarize six challenges encountered for the use of GAI in materials science and provide the corresponding solutions.This work paves the way for providing effective and explainable materials data generation and analysis approaches to accelerate the materials research and development.Yue Liu Zhengwei Yang Zhenyao Yu Zitu Liu Dahui Liu Hailong Lin Mingqing Li Shuchang Ma Maxim Avdeev Siqi Shi 2023Journal of Materiomics2023,9,4:1

11Selective photocatalytic oxidation of methane to C1 oxygenates by regulating sizes and facets over Au/ZnO显示文摘Photocatalytic oxidation of methane to value-added chemicals is a promising process under mild conditions,nevertheless confronting great challenges in efficiently activating C-H bonds and inhibiting over-oxidation.Herein,we propose a comprehensive strategy for the selective generation of reactive oxygen species(ROS)by regulating the sizes and facets of Au nanoparticles loaded on ZnO.For photocatalytic methane oxidation at ambient temperature,a high oxygenates yield of 36.4 mmol·g^(-1)·h^(-1) with a nearly 100%selectivity has been achieved over the optimized 1.0%Au/ZnO-9.6(1%Au with(111)facet and 9.6 nm size on ZnO)photocatalyst,exceeding most reported literatures.Mechanism investigations reveal that 1.0%Au/ZnO-9.6 with the medium size and Au(111)facet guarantees the favourable formation of superoxide radicals(·OOH)through mild oxygen reduction,ultimately leading to excellent photocatalytic methane oxidation performance.This work provides some guidance for the delicate design of photocatalysts for efficient photocatalytic methane oxidation and oxygen utilization.Qiang Zhou Xinyu Wang Xiaojie Tan Qinhua Zhang Hao Yang Tao Xing Mingqing Wang Mingbo Wu Wenting Wu 2024Nano Research2024,17,5:0

13Study of a low-disturbance pressure-preserving corer and its coring performance in deep coal mining conditions显示文摘With the increasing depth of coal mining,the requirements for coring devices that maintain pressure are increasing.To adapt to the special environment in deep coal seams and improve the accuracy of testing gas content,a low-disturbance pressure-preserving corer was developed.The measurement of gas content using this corer was analyzed.The coring test platform was used to complete a coring function test.A pressurized core with a diameter of 50 mm was obtained.The pressure was 0.15 MPa,which was equal to the pressure of the liquid column of the cored layer,indicating that the corer can be successfully used in a mud environment.Next,a pressure test of the corer was conducted.The results showed that under conditions of low pressure(8 MPa)and high pressure(25 MPa),the internal pressure of the corer remained stable for more than 1 h,indicating that the corer has good ability to maintain pressure.Therefore,the corer can be applied at deep coal mine sites.The results of this research can be used to promote the safe exploitation of deep coal mines and the exploitation of methane resources in coalbeds.Wei Huang Jianan Li Zhiqiang Liu Mingqing Yang Zhenxi You Heping Xie 2023International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2023,33,11:0
14Preparation of Controllable Cross-Linking Polyethylene Foaming Materials and Their Properties显示文摘In order to prepare the polyethylene materials with controlling properties,we developed two kinds of controllable cross-linking polyethylene foaming system.2,5-dimethyl-2,5-bis (tert-butyl peroxy) hexane was used as cross-linking agent and TEMPO as cross-linking inhibitor,azodicarbonamide (AC) was used as foaming agent and citric acid as foaming promoter.The density,expansion ratio,cellular structure and mechanical property of these two kinds of controllable materials were studied.Experimental results show that,properties of these two kinds of materials appear similar trend:cellular size and expansion ratio are enlarged with the amount of cross-linking inhibitor or foaming promoter increasing,while density and mechanical strength appear decreasing trend.Through comparing those two material systems’ properties,cross-linking polyethelene foaming system with citric acid as foaming promoter has better properties.夏碧华 东为富 ZHANG Xuhui WANG Yang JIANG Jie LI Ting MA Piming CHEN Mingqing 2022Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2022,37,5:0
15Effects of Different Cultivation Patterns of Wheat on Population Structure of Puccinia striiformis West.f. sp. tritici显示文摘The paper was to study the effects of different cultivation patterns( mix cultivation and monocultivation) of wheat on population structure of Puccinia striiformis West. f. sp. tritici in the fields. Five race-specific-markers( CY32,CY31,CY29,CY23 and Shuiyuan pathotype) were used to survey 113 infected samples collected from two cultivation patterns. The results indicated that frequency of race-specific-markers under monocultivation was higher than that under mix cultivation; the dominant race-specific-markers were CY32 and CY29 under monocultivation,and the frequency of detection were 81. 5% and 78. 5%,respectively. The dominant race-specific-markers were CY29 and Shuiyuan pathotype under mix cultivation,and the frequency of detection are 41. 7% and 18. 8%,respectively.Several race-specific-markers were detected in single infected leaf,and 41. 7% of infected single leaf were detected with more than two race-specific-markers,58. 3% of infected single leaf were detected with one race-specific-marker under mix cultivation pattern,while there were 75. 0% infected leaves with more than two race-specific-markers and 25. 0% infected single leaf detected with one race-specific-marker under monocultivation pattern. 16Preliminary experience in adult-to-adult living donor liver transplantation in a single center in China显示文摘The aim of this paper is to report the authors’experience in performing adult-to-adult living donor liver transplantation(LDLT)by using a modified technique in using grafts of the right lobe of the liver.From January 2002 to September 2006,56 adult patients underwent LDLT using right lobe grafts at the West China Hospital,Sichuan University Medical School,China.All patients underwent a modified operation designed to improve the reconstruction of the right hepatic vein(RHV)and the tributariers of the middle hepatic vein(MHV)by interposing a vessel graft,and by anastomosing the hepatic arteries and bile ducts.There were no severe complications or deaths in all donors.Fifty-two(92.8%)recipients survived the operations.Among the 56 recipients,complications were seen in 15 recipients(26.8%),including hepatic vein stricture(one case),small-for-size syndrome(one case),hepatic artery thrombosis(two cases),intestinal bleeding(one case),bile leakage(two cases),left subphrenic abscess(one case),renal failure(two cases)and pulmonary infection(five cases).Within three months after transplantation,four recipients(7.14%)died due to smallfor-size syndrome(one case),renal failure(one case)and multiple organ failure(two cases).All patients underwent direct anastomoses of the RHV and the inferior vena cava(IVC),and in 23 cases,reconstruction of the right inferior hepatic vein was also done.In 24 patients,the reconstruction of the tributaries of the MHV was also done by interposing a vessel graft to provide sufficient venous outflow.Trifurcation of the portal vein was seen in nine cases.Thus,veno-plasty or separate anastomoses were performed.The graft and recipient body weight ratios(GRWR)were between 0.72%and 1.43%,and in three cases it was<0.8%.The graft weight to recipient standard liver volume ratios(GV/SLV)were between 31.86%and 71.68%,among which four cases had<40%.No“small-for-size syndrome”occurred.With modification of the surgical technique,especially in the reconstruction of the hepatic vein to provide sufficient venous outflow,living donor liver grafts in adults using the right lobe of the liver can become a relatively safe procedure and prevent the“small-for-size syndrome”.YAN Lunan LI Bo ZENG Yong WEN Tianfu ZHAO Jichun WANG Wentao YANG Jiayin XU Mingqing MA Yukui CHEN Zheyu LIU Jiangwen WU Hong 2007Frontiers of Medicine2007,1,2:0
17Reducing biliary complications in adult-to-adult living donor liver transplantation using right lobe graft:experience of 124 cases显示文摘The aim of this paper is to summarize our experience of using right lobe liver grafts to reduce biliary complications in adult-to-adult(A-A)living donor liver transplantation(LDLT).From January 2002 to October 2007,124 adult patients underwent living donor liver transplantation using right lobe grafts at the West China Hospital,Sichuan University Medical School,China.There was no death in all donors.Biliary reconstruction for 178 hepatic duct orifices from 124 donor grafts was performed which included 106 reconstructions of duct-to-duct anastomoses and 72 cholangiojejunostomy.Nine recipients had biliary complications including six bile lea-kages(four from the anastomotic site and two from the cut surface of the liver graft)and three biliary strictures.With the improved techniques for biliary reconstruction,we have achieved good results in 124 recipients of A-A LDLT.We ascribe our success to the introduction of microsurgical techniques and the use of fixed operators which help in decreasing the biliary complications of LDLT.Lunan YAN Tianfu WEN Wentao WANG Jiayin YANG Mingqing XU Zheyu CHEN Hong WU 2008Frontiers of Medicine2008,2,2:0
18Stable Au nanoparticles confined in boron nitride shells for optimizing oxidative desulfurization显示文摘Supported gold(Au)nanocatalysts have long played an important role in numerous heterogeneous catalysis.However,the dominant difficulty of poor thermodynamic stability hampers its practical application.Herein,a core–shell structured Au nanocatalyst with Au nanoparticles(NPs)confined in boron nitride(BN)shells is proposed for enhanced thermodynamic stability.The two-dimensional porous structure of BN not only functions as a physical separator for the sintering resistance of Au NPs,but also provides a microchannel for catalytic reaction substrates.Besides,owing to the confinement effect,a strengthened interaction between well-designed Au NPs and the BN can be expected,which further boosts the stability and catalytic activity.Detailed experiments show that a proper BN shell thickness is important to maintain the balance between the sintering resistance and catalytic activity.A significantly boosted performance of 97.2%conversion in oxidative desulfurization(ODS)was obtained with a proper number of BN coating layers,outperforming the one with a thicker BN shell.Moreover,the recyclability of the prepared catalyst was investigated with no obvious decrease in catalytic performance after 10 runs,greatly higher than that without a BN shell,suggesting excellent durability.Linjie Lu Jing He Peiwen Wu Yang Sun Mingqing Hua Peng Cui Wenshuai Zhu Huaming Li Zhichang Liu Chunming Xu 2023Nano Research2023,16,10:0
