Currently, IL-1β blockage has been therapeutic strategies for autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes, gout and type II diabetes mellitus. | 3 | Recent advances in gel polymer electrolyte for high-performance lithium batteries显示文摘Lithium batteries (LBs) have become increasingly important energy storage systems in our daily life. However, their practical applications are still severely plagued by the safety issues from liquid electrolyte, especially when the batteries are exposed to mechanical, thermal, or electrical abuse conditions. Gel polymer electrolytes (GPEs) are being considered as an effective solution to replace currently available organic liquid electrolyte for building safer LBs. This review provides recent advancements in GPEs applied for high-performance LBs. On the one hand, from the environmental and economic point of view, the skeletons of GPEs changed from traditional polymer to renewable and degradable polymer. On the other hand, in addition to being as a component with good electrochemical and physical characterizations, the GPEs also need to provide some functions for addressing the concerns of lithium (Li) dendrites, unstable cathode electrolyte interface, dissolution and migration of transition metal ions,'shuttle effect' of polysulfides, and so on. | 7 | Rational Fabrication of Superhydrophobic Nanocone Surface for Dynamic Water Repellency and Anti-icing Potential显示文摘In this work,a simple and economic route was presented to fabricate an anti-icing superhydrophobic surface with nanocone structures,which were constructed only by one-step facile method of hydrothermal treatment with zinc acetate on the aluminum substrate.After modifying with fluoroalkylsilane (FAS-17),the nanocone structures with the appropriate size could induce the high superhydrophobicity with the water contact angle reaching 160.2° ± 0.4° and the sliding angle only being 1 ° ± 0.5°.Under the dynamic environments,the impact droplets could rapidly bounced off the surface with the shorter contact time of^1 0.6 ms,and it was mainly attributing to lower capillary adhesive force (water adhesion force of 4.1 μN) induced by the open system of nanocone structures.Furthermore,the superhydrophobic nanocone surfaces were verified to be a promising anti-icing/icephobic materials,on which the water droplets needed to spend the time of ~517 s to complete the entire freezing process at-10 ℃,displaying the increased ~50 times of icing-delay performance comparing with untreated substrate.Even if ice finally was formed on the superhydrophobic nanocone surfaces,it could be easily removed away with lower ice adhesion of^45 kPa.The repeatable measurement of ice adhesion strength on the same place of the superhydrophobic surface is still far less than the surface ice adhesion of smooth substrate,exhibiting better stability. | Yuehan Xie Haifeng Chen Yizhou Shen Jie Tao Mingming Jin Yu Wu Wenqing Hou | 2019 | Journal of Bionic Engineering2019,16,1: | 7 |

| 9 | Preparation, characterization, pharmacokinetics and anticancer effects of PEGylated β-elemene liposomes显示文摘Objective:This study aimed to develop a new polyethylene glycol(PEG)ylatedβ-elemene liposome(PEG-Lipo-β-E)and evaluate its characterization,pharmacokinetics,antitumor effects and safety in vitro and in vivo.Methods:The liposomes were prepared by ethanol injection and high-pressure micro-jet homogenization.Characterization of the liposomes was conducted,and drug content,entrapment efficiency(EE),in vitro release and stability were studied by ultra-fast liquid chromatography(UFLC)and a liquid surface method.Blood was drawn from rats to establish the pharmacokinetic parameters.The anticancer effect was evaluated in a KU-19-19 bladder cancer xenograft model.Histological analyses were performed to evaluate safety.Results:The PEG-Lipo-β-E showed good stability and was characterized as 83.31±0.181 nm in size,0.279±0.004 in polydispersity index(PDI),-21.4±1.06 mV in zeta potential,6.65±0.02 in pH,5.024±0.107 mg/mL inβ-elemene(β-E)content,and 95.53±1.712%in average EE.The Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)indicated the formation of PEG-Lipo-β-E.Compared to elemene injection,PEG-Lipo-β-E demonstrated a 1.75-fold decrease in clearance,a 1.62-fold increase in half-life,and a 1.76-fold increase in area under the concentration-time curves(AUCs)from 0 hour to 1.5 hours(P<0.05).PEG-Lipo-β-E also showed an enhanced anticancer effect in vivo.Histological analyses showed that there was no evidence of toxicity to the heart,kidney,liver,lung or spleen.Conclusions:The present study demonstrates PEG-Lipo-β-E as a new formulation with ease of preparation,high EE,good stability,improved bioavailability and antitumor effects. | Bingtao Zhai Qibiao Wu Wengang Wang Mingming Zhang Xuemeng Han Qiujie Li Peng Chen Xiaying Chen Xingxing Huang Guohua Li Qin Zhang Ruonan Zhang Yu Xiang Shuiping Liu Ting Duan Jianshu Lou Tian Xie Xinbing Sui | 2020 | Cancer Biology & Medicine2020,17,1: | 6 |

| 12 | Foraging habitat selection of overwintering Black-necked Cranes in the farming area surrounding the Caohai Wetland, Guizhou Province, China显示文摘Background: Understanding how overwintering birds choose foraging habitats is very important for conservation management. The overwintering Black-necked Crane(Grus nigricollis) feeds on crop remains in farmlands;thus, reasonable conservation management of this type of farmland that surrounds wetlands is critical for the overwintering populations of the Black-necked Crane;however, it is not clear how the Black-necked Crane chooses the foraging land in the farmland.Methods: A thorough field positioning survey of all foraging sites in farmland areas around the Caohai Wetland and a-sampling analysis of habitat selection by the Black-necked Crane were conducted during the winters from 20162017 and 2017-2018.Results: Multiple factors contributed to the selection of foraging habitat in farmlands, i.e., food factors(crop remains and tillage methods) > human disturbance factors(distance to road and settlement) > topography factors(slope aspect), listed according to the strength of influence. Additionally, Black-necked Cranes tend to choose farmland sites where there was no machine tillage, the crop remains were > 500 g/m^2, the distance to residences ranged from 100 to 500 m, the distance to roads ranged from 50 to 100 m, and the slopes exhibited western or eastern aspects. As the winters progressed, the volume of the edible crop remains declined, and the influences of the other main factors also changed, i.e., the factors of human disturbance(distance to road and settlement) became less important, while the effect of the food factor(crop remains) was strengthened. Thus, the foraging sites near the road became more important.Conclusion: The farming area surrounding the Caohai Wetland is very important for the overwintering Black-necked Crane. | 18 | Provenance of the Permo-Carboniferous sediments in the northern Alxa and its tectonic implications for the southernmost Central Asian Orogenic Belt显示文摘As the southernmost segment of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB),the northern Alxa orogenic belt(NAOB)connects the southeastern and southwestern segments of the CAOB.The NAOB amalgamated with the closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean;however,the closure time of the Paleo-Asian Ocean is still on great debate.In this study,we reported new detrital zircon U-Pb geochronology and Hf-O isotopes for the Permo-Carboniferous sediments in the northern Alxa to constrain the provenance and its tectonic implications.The Permo-Carbonifereous Amushan Formation is composed of volcanic-carbonite-clastic rocks and was deposited in a shallow marine environment.Based on the zircon U-Pb geochronology,the Amushan Formation was deposited in the late Carboniferous to early Permian,but some outcrops of volcanic and clastic rocks in the Quaganqulu area were likely formed in the middle to late Permian.The integrated zircon age spectrum for the clastic rocks shows a wide range from late Archean to Paleoproterozoic,Mesoproterozoic(with a peak age at 1458 Ma),early Neoproterozoic(with peak ages of 988 Ma and 929 Ma),early Paleozoic(with a peak age at 447 Ma) and late Paleozoic(with a peak age at 294 Ma).Combined with the zircon Hf-O isotopes,the provenance was considered to be the Alxa Block,the Shalazhashan terrane and the Zhusileng-Hangwula block(and the southern Beishan orogenic belt).The multiple source regions to the south and north of the Paleo-Asian Ocean indicate the closure of this ocean before the late Carboniferous.The absence or small proportion of depositional age-approximated zircons in most samples makes their age spectra similar to extensional basins.Combined with the intra-plate volcanism,the deposits were considered to be formed in extensional settings.Accordingly,after the closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean,the NAOB stepped into an extensional stage. | Yan Chen Tairan Wu Zhicheng Zhang C.Mark Fanning Mingming Zhang Mingming Zhang | 2020 | Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,4: | 2 |
| 19 | Class Ⅱ transactivator(CIITA)mediates transcriptional repression of pdk4 gene by interacting with hypermethylated in cancer 1(HIC1)显示文摘Increased accumulation and/or impaired utilization of fatty acid in extra-adipose tissues are implicated in the pathogenesis of insulin resistance and type 2 diabetes. Pyruvate dehydrogenase kinase 4(Pdk4) is a key enzyme involved in fatty oxidation and energy expenditure, and its expression can be repressed by pro-inflammatory stimuli.Previously, we have shown that class II transactivator(CIITA) mediates the adverse effect of interferon gamma(IFN-y) in skeletal muscle cells by cooperating with hypermethylated in cancer 1(HIC1) to repress silent informa?tion regulator 1(SIRT1) transcription. Building upon this finding, we report here that CIITA interacted with HIC1 via the GTP-binding domain(GBD) while HIC1 interacted with CIITA via the BTB/POZ domain. The GBD domain was required for CIITA to repress SIRT1 transcription probably acting as a bridge for CIITA to bind to HIC1 and consequently to bind to the SIRT1 promoter. IFN-y stimulation, CIITA over-expression, or HIC1 overexpression repressed Pdk4 promoter activity while silencing either CIITA or HIC1 normalized Pdk4 expression in the presence of IFN-y. An increase in SIRT1 expression or activity partially rescued Pdk4 expression in the pre?sence of CIITA, but SIRT1 inhibition abrogated Pdk4 normalization even in the absence of CIITA. | 20 | Anomaly detection in smart grid based on encoder-decoder framework with recurrent neural network显示文摘Anomaly detection in smart grid is critical to enhance the reliability of power systems.Excessive manpower has to be involved in analyzing the measurement data collected from intelligent motoring devices while performance of anomaly detection is still not satisfactory.This is mainly because the inherent spatio-temporality and multi-dimensionality of the measurement data cannot be easily captured.In this paper,we propose an anomaly detection model based on encoder-decoder framework with recurrent neural network(RNN).In the model,an input time series is reconstructed and an anomaly can be detected by an unexpected high reconstruction error.Both Manhattan distance and the edit distance are used to evaluate the difference between an input time series and its reconstructed one.Finally,we validate the proposed model by using power demand data from University of California,Riverside(UCR) time series classification archive and IEEE 39 bus system simulation data.Results from the analysis demonstrate that the proposed encoder-decoder framework is able to successfully capture anomalies with a precision higher than 95%. | Zheng Fengming Li Shufang Guo Zhimin Wu Bo Tian Shiming Pan Mingming | 2017 | The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2017,24,6: | 2 |
