Pathogen Identification of Wheat Crown Rot and Control Effects of Different Fungicides显示文摘[Objectives] The paper aimed to reduce the damage of wheat crown rot caused by Fusarium graminearum on wheat production. [Methods]Pathogens were isolated from wheat crown rot samples collected in fields, and the major pathogenic fungi were determined as F. graminearum through molecular techniques.Different fungicides were administrated at seedling stage and reviving stage to control the disease. [Results] There were significant differences in control effects against crown rot among different fungicides. Tebuconazole · prochloraz mixture and Carbendazim · triadimefon mixture had good control effects, while such single agents as Tebuconazole and Difenoconazole · propicondzole had good control effects as well. [Conclusions] Seed dressing with agents could significantly reduce the incidence rate of crown rot at seedling stage, and stem spraying at reviving stage had better control effect. | Zhang Peng Deng Yuanyu Yang Xueming Zhou Miaoping Ma Hongxiang | 2017 | Plant Diseases and Pests2017,8,3: | 2
The GATA transcription factor TaGATA1 recruits demethylase TaELF6-A1 and enhances seed dormancy in wheat by directly regulating TaABI5显示文摘Seed dormancy is an important agronomic trait in crops, and plants with low dormancy are prone to preharvest sprouting(PHS) under high-temperature and humid conditions. In this study,we report that the GATA transcription factor TaGATA1 is a positive regulator of seed dormancy by regulating TaABI5 expression in wheat. Our results demonstrate that TaGATA1 overexpression significantly enhances seed dormancy and increases resistance to PHS in wheat. Gene expression patterns, abscisic acid(ABA) response assay, and transcriptome analysis all indicate that TaGATA1 functions through the ABA signaling pathway. The transcript abundance of TaABI5, an essential regulator in the ABA signaling pathway,is significantly elevated in plants overexpressing TaGATA1. Chromatin immunoprecipitation assay(ChIP) and transient expression analysis showed that TaGATA1 binds to the GATA motifs at the promoter of TaABI5 and induces its expression. We also demonstrate that TaGATA1 physically interacts with the putative demethylase TaELF6-A1, the wheat orthologue of Arabidopsis ELF6.ChIP–qPCR analysis showed that H3K27me3 levels significantly decline at the TaABI5 promoter in the TaGATA1-overexpression wheat line and that transient expression of TaELF6-A1 reduces methylation levels at the TaABI5 promoter, increasing TaABI5 expression. These findings reveal a new transcription module, including TaGATA1–TaELF6-A1–TaABI5, which contributes to seed dormancy through the ABA signaling pathway and epigenetic reprogramming at the target site. TaGATA1 could be a candidate gene for improving PHS resistance. | Xuening Wei Yuyan Li Xiuliang Zhu Xin Liu Xingguo Ye Miaoping Zhou Zengyan Zhang | 2023 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2023,65,5: | 1
Improvement in lipid production and biodiesel quality of Pavlova sp.by monochromatic illumination显示文摘Pavlova sp.is not only one of the most popular microalgae in aquaculture, but also a source of high-quality biodiesel feedstock. With white light as a control(W),Pavlova sp.was cultured in this study under varying light quality, including monochromatic red light(R),blue light(B),and combinations thereof with different proportions(illuminators of m Rn B,comprised of m red light units and n blue ones,m+n=7),to examine the effects of illuminating light quality on biocomponent production and biodiesel quality. The results show that combined monochromatic light, especially 2R5B,3R4B,4R3B,and 5R2B,could improve the growth of Pavlova sp.The dry weight of harvested algae powder in the 5R2B group reached 418.03 mg/L,and was 22.65%higher than that in the control group(W).Lipid production under combined monochromatic light of 4R3B reached 107.86 mg/L,and was 25.61%higher than in the control(W).In addition, illumination using 4R3B increased the proportion of C16∶0(palmitic acid)and C16:1(palmitoleic acid)fatty acids in Pavlova sp.by 15.55%and 21.94%,respectively,which translates into improved biodiesel quality. All cetane numbers(CN)for 4R3B–6R1B were over 51,while iodine values(IV)and degrees of unsaturation(DU)were reduced, leading to more stable biodiesel suitable for longterm storage. In addition, protein production under 6R1B was as high as 31.56 mg/L,1.8 times greater than under W.Light quality is proposed as an effective tool to regulate biocomponent production by microalgae. | Cuili JIN Miaoping DONG Yi ZHANG Qiuyan YU Qing LIU Xiaojian ZHOU | 2023 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2023,41,5: | 1

Genetic Analysis of Grain Yield in a 7×7 Diallel Cross F_2 Population of Wheat(T.Aestivum L.)显示文摘In order to obtain genetic information for grain yield, seven genetically diverse wheat cultivars were crossed in an incomplete diallel to study the inheritance of grain yield using F_2 progenies for two years. Significant differences were observed among genotype, year and genotype × year interaction for grain yield, and both general combining ability(GCA) and specific combining ability(SCA) were also highly significant for grain yield, suggesting that the trait was controlled by both additive and non-additive effect. The GCA estimates revealed that the best combiners for grain yield were Yangmai 5 and Ningmai 9. Adequacy tests revealed that data of grain yield was fully adequate for genetic interpretation. Over-dominance genetic effects were important for the expression of grain yield. Grain yield exhibited moderately high value of narrow sense heritability(h_N^2=66.98% and h_N^2=72.37%). | Jinbao YAO Hongxiang MA Xueming YANG Miaoping ZHOU Pingping ZHANG Peng ZHANG Peng JIANG | 2016 | Agricultural Science & Technology2016,17,6: | 0
Variations of DON Content in Grain during Wheat Tempering at Different Temperatures显示文摘[Objective] The aim of this study was to observe variations of DON content in grain of two wheat cultivars during tempering at different temperatures, and explore the possible causes of the variations. [Method] Two naturally Fusarium-infested wheat samples Youmai 3 and Yangmai 14 were selected as experimental materials. Tempering was carried out at different temperature(15, 25 and 35 ℃) for 48 h. During tempering, wheat grain samples were collected every 8 h. DON contents in tempered grain were measured by HPLC coupled with UV detector. [Result] For Youmai 3, DON contents were in the ranges of 3.94-12.49, 4.26-6.11 and 3.41-7.91 μg/g during tempering at 15, 25 and 35 ℃, respectively. The highest DON contents were observed at the 32ndhour at 15 ℃, the 8thhour at 25 ℃ and the 32ndhour at 35 ℃, respectively. After tempering for 48 h, DON contents in grain were increased by 175.1%, 27.5% and 7.2%, respectively. For Yangmai 14, DON contents were in the ranges of 0.55-1.56, 0.39-0.77 and 0.57-3.17 μg/g during tempering at 15, 25 and 35 ℃, respectively. The highest DON contents were observed at the 24thhour at 15 ℃, the 40thhour at 25 ℃ and the 48thhour at 35 ℃, respectively. After tempering for 48 h, DON contents in grain were increased by 94.5% at 15 ℃ and 456.1% at 35 ℃, respectively, whereas it was decreased by 35.0% at 25 ℃. From the point of view of reducing DON level, 15 ℃ was not reasonable for the tempering of both wheat cultivars, and tempering at 35 ℃ for 16 h and tempering at 25 ℃ for 24 h appeared to be desirable for Youmai 3 and Yangmai 14, respectively. [Conclusion] The results suggested controlling the tempering temperature and time would be helpful to reduce DON level in grain. | Zhiming GENG Dan YANG Pingping ZHANG Miaoping ZHOU Daoying WANG Fang LIU Muhan ZHANG Yongzhi ZHU | 2014 | Agricultural Science & Technology2014,15,4: | 0
