| 1 | Sodium-rich volcanic rocks and their relationships with iron deposits in the Aqishan-Yamansu belt of Eastern Tianshan,NW China显示文摘The volcanic rocks hosting the iron deposits in the Aqishan–Yamansu metallogenic belt are sodium-rich.The geochronology,petrography,and geochemistry of minerals and sodium-rich rocks as well as the relationship between these rocks and the iron deposits are studied.Geochemically,the ore-hosting volcanic rocks are sodiumrich(the averages of Na2O and Na2O/K2O are 4.31 wt.%and 8.56,respectively)and belong to the calc-alkaline series.They are enriched in LREEs and LILEs(Ba,U,K,and Sr),but depleted in HFSEs(Nb,Ta,and Ti).SHRIMP zircon U–Pb dating of the crystal tuff in the Aqishan Formation and the dacite in the Tugutu Bulak Formation yields ages of 337.52.3 Ma(n?15,MSWD?0.85)and 313.03.3 Ma(n?13,MSWD?0.74),respectively,indicating that the sodium-rich volcanic rocks formed from the early–late Carboniferous.Electron microprobe data from plagioclases demonstrate that albites and/or oligoclases were formed in the basic–intermediate–acid volcanic rocks.Two stages of albitization are identified,and the latter is likely attributed to the dissolution of iron in the Aqishan–Yamansu belt.The sodium-rich volcanic rocks probably formed by the interaction between volcanic lava and seawater after volcanoes erupted on the seafloor;meanwhile,the albites formed by element substitution in a low-metamorphic environment.The spatiotemporal coupling relationship between sodium-rich volcanic rocks and iron deposits in the Aqishan–Yamansu belt is favorable.Iron dissolved from the dark minerals of basic–intermediate volcanic rocks through sodium metasomatism is one of the material sources for the iron deposits. | Zhiyuan Sun WangJingbin Yuwang Wang Lingli Long Zhaohua Luo Xiaohua Deng Qitao Hu Menglong Wang | 2020 | Geoscience Frontiers2020,11,2: | 2 |

| 4 | Targeting papain-like protease for broad-spectrum coronavirus inhibition显示文摘The emergence of SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern and repeated outbreaks of coronavirus epidemics in the past two decades emphasize the need for next-generation pan-coronaviral therapeutics.Drugging the multi-functional papain-like protease(PLpro)domain of the viral nsp3 holds promise.However,none of the known coronavirus PLpro inhibitors has been shown to be in vivo active.Herein,we screened a structurally diverse library of 50,080 compounds for potential coronavirus PLpro inhibitors and identified a noncovalent lead inhibitor F0213 that has broad-spectrum anti-coronaviral activity,including against the Sarbecoviruses(SARSCoV-1 and SARS-CoV-2),Merbecovirus(MERS-CoV),as well as the Alphacoronavirus(hCoV-229E and hCoVOC43).Importantly,F0213 confers protection in both SARS-CoV-2-infected hamsters and MERS-CoV-infected human DPP4-knockin mice.F0213 possesses a dual therapeutic functionality that suppresses coronavirus replication via blocking viral polyprotein cleavage,as well as promoting antiviral immunity by antagonizing the PLpro deubiquitinase activity.Despite the significant difference of substrate recognition,mode of inhibition studies suggest that F0213 is a competitive inhibitor against SARS2-PLpro via binding with the 157K amino acid residue,whereas an allosteric inhibitor of MERSPLpro interacting with its 271E position.Our proof-ofconcept findings demonstrated that PLpro is a valid target for the development of broad-spectrum anticoronavirus agents.The orally administered F0213 may serve as a promising lead compound for combating the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and future coronavirus outbreaks. | Shuofeng Yuan Xiaopan Gao Kaiming Tang Jian-Piao Cai Menglong Hu Peng Luo Lei Wen Zi-Wei Ye Cuiting Luo Jessica Oi-Ling Tsang Chris Chun-Yiu Chan Yaoqiang Huang Jianli Cao Ronghui Liang Zhenzhi Qin Bo Qin Feifei Yin Hin Chu Dong-Yan Jin Ren Sun Jasper Fuk-Woo Chan Sheng Cui Kwok-Yung Yuen | 2022 | Protein & Cell2022,13,12: | 0 |

| 7 | Holistic identification and assessment of environmental risks of arable land use in two grain producing areas of China显示文摘Taking two typical grain producing areas of southern(Dongting Lake Region)and northern China(Shandong Province)as examples,this study used fault tree analysis and parametric estimation to provide a comparative analysis for environmental risks of intensive arable land use.The results show that(1)in the risks of eutrophication,toxicity,soil structure,greenhouse effect and air pollution,the greenhouse effect was the most prominent with the highest discharge;(2)the Dongting Lake Region discharged less pollutants annually than did Shandong Province,while surpassing Shandong in cumulative pollutant discharge in 2007-2018;(3)the spatial distribution of environmental risk in the Dongting Lake Region was mostly concentrated in the northern area,whereas that in Shandong Province displayed a scattered pattern;(4)in the Dongting Lake Region,Yueyang,Changde,and Yiyang were high environmental risk cities in 2007-2018,whereas in Shandong Province,Zaozhuang,Heze,Liaocheng,and Dezhou exhibited higher comprehensive environmental risk indexes in 2007-2008,while Rizhao replaced them in 2018.The results indicated that ago-production material use must be controlled,reasonable zoning for areas posing environmental risks must be employed and cities with high environmental risk must be dynamically monitored to prevent the intensification of environmental risks of arable land use. | Guanyi Yin Zhulu Lin Xilong Jiang Jin Sun Menglong Qiu | 2020 | Ecosystem Health and Sustainability2020,6,1: | 0 |

| 9 | Encapsulated carbon nanotube array as a thermal interface material compatible with standard electronics packaging显示文摘Vertically aligned carbon nanotubes arrays(VACNTs)are a promising candidate for the thermal interface material(TIM)of next-generation electronic devices due to their attractive thermal and mechanical properties.However,the environment required for synthesizing VACNTs is harsh and severely incompatible with standard device packaging processes.VACNTs’extremely low in-plane thermal conductivity also limits its performance for cooling hot spots.Here,using a transfer-and-encapsulate strategy,a two-step soldering method is developed to cap both ends of the VACNTs with copper microfoils,forming a standalone Cu-VACNTs-Cu sandwich TIM and avoiding the need to directly grow VACNTs on chip die.This new TIM is fully compatible with standard packaging,with excellent flexibility and high thermal conductivities in both in-plane and through-plane directions.The mechanical compliance behavior and mechanism,which are critical for TIM applications,are investigated in depth using in situ nanoindentation.The thermal performance is further verified in an actual light emitting diode(LED)cooling experiment,demonstrating low thermal resistance,good reliability,and achieving a 17℃ temperature reduction compared with state-of-the-art commercial TIMs.This study provides a viable solution to VACNTs’longstanding problem in device integration and free-end contact resistance,bringing it much closer to application and solving the critical thermal bottleneck in next-generation electronics. | Ruixiang Bai Yangbing Wei Jiyuan Xu Xiaobo Li Menglin Li Ziwen Zou Xinyan Huang Chengyu Liu Yiwei Sun Menglong Hao | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,8: | 0 |
| 10 | Metal-free π-conjugated hybrid g-C_(3)N_(4) with tunable band structure for enhanced visible-light photocatalytic H_(2) production显示文摘Development of low-cost and efficient photocatalytic materials with visible-light response is of urgent need for solving energy and environmental problems.Here,a metal-free two-dimensional(2D)π-conjugated hybrid g-C_(3)N_(4)photocatalyst with tunable band structure was prepared by a novel one-pot bottom-up method based on a supersaturated precipitation process of urea and triethanolamine(TEOA)solution.The microstructure of the hybrid g-C_(3)N_(4)is revealed to be a compound of periodic tri-s-triazine units grafted with N-doped graphene(GR)fragments.From experimental evidence and theoretical calculations,the two differentπ-conjugated fragments in the hybrid g-C_(3)N_(4)material are proved to construct a 2D in-plane junction structure,thereby expanding the light absorption range and accelerating the interface charge transfer.Theπ-conjugated electron coupling in the 2D photocatalyst eliminates the grain boundary effect,and the coupled highest occupied molecular orbital(HOMO)effectively promotes the separation of photo-induced charge carriers.Compared with the g-C_(3)N_(4)prepared by the conventional method,the visible-light H2 production activity of the optimized sample is enhanced by 253%.This work provides a new strategy of constructing metal-free g-C_(3)N_(4)hybrids for efficient photocatalytic water splitting. | Hengming Huang Kan Hu Chen Xue Zhiliang Wang Zhenggang Fang Ling Zhou Menglong Sun Zhongzi Xu Jiahui Kou Lianzhou Wang Chunhua Lu | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,28: | 0 |
| 11 | Psychological Capital Status of Left-Behind Rural Children in China and Its Relationship with Mental Health显示文摘Background:The mental health of left-behind rural children of China has become a prominent social problem.At the same time,psychological capital has become a positive psychological resource to promote personal growth.However,the relationship between psychological capital and mental health of left-behind rural children has not been explored.Method:A total of 332 left-behind rural children were investigated using a questionnaire of psychological capital and mental health scale.The psychological capital status of left-behind rural children and its impact on mental health were analyzed.Results:(1)Left-behind rural children were found to have a psychological capital score of was 3.16±0.56;Gender,age,grade,and school style had no significant effect on psychological capital.(2)Left-behind rural children obtained a mental health score of 2.21±0.5 G and gender,age,grade,and school style had no significant effect on mental health.(3)A significant negative correlation is found between psychological capital and mental health scores of left-behind rural children.Regression analysis shows that psychological capital is negatively correlated with mental health scores.Conclusion:The psychological capital of left-behind rural children can positively predict their mental health,and thus developing the former can promote the latter. | Yujia Ren Menglong Li Hua Sun | 2021 | International Journal of Mental Health Promotion2021,23,3: | 0 |
