1Blue light is more essential than red light for maintaining the activities of photosystem Ⅱ and Ⅰ and photosynthetic electron transport capacity in cucumber leaves显示文摘Blue and red lights differently regulate leaf photosynthesis. Previous studies indicated that plants under blue light generally exhibit better photosynthetic characteristics than those under red light. However, the regulation mechanism of related photosynthesis characteristics remains largely unclear. Here, four light qualities treatments(300 μmol m–2 s–1) including white fluorescent light(FL), blue monochromatic light(B, 440 nm), red monochromatic light(R, 660 nm), and a combination of red and blue light(RB, R:B=8:1) were carried out to investigate their effects on the activity of photosystem II(PSII) and photosystem I(PSI), and photosynthetic electron transport capacity in the leaves of cucumber(Cucumis sativus L.) seedlings. The results showed that compared to the FL treatment, the R treatment significantly limited electron transport rate in PSII(ETRII) and in PSI(ETRI) by 79.4 and 66.3%, respectively, increased non-light induced non-photochemical quenching in PSII(ΦNO) and limitation of donor side in PSI(ΦND) and reduced most JIP-test parameters, suggesting that the R treatment induced suboptimal activity of photosystems and inhibited electron transport from PSII donor side up to PSI. However, these suppressions were effectively alleviated by blue light addition(RB). Compared with the R treatment, the RB treatment significantly increased ETRII and ETRI by 176.9 and 127.0%, respectively, promoted photosystems activity and enhanced linear electron transport by elevating electron transport from QA to PSI. The B treatment plants exhibited normal photosystems activity and photosynthetic electron transport capacity similar to that of the FL treatment. 2A semi-analytical approach for stiffness modeling of PKM by considering compliance of machine frame with complex geometry显示文摘Stiffness modeling is one of the most significant issues in the design of parallel kinematic machine (PKM). This paper presents a semi-analytical approach that enables the stiffness of PKM with complex machine frame geometry to be estimated effectively. This approach can be implemented by three steps: (i) decomposition of the entire system into two sub-systems associated with the parallel mechanism and the machine frame respectively; (ii) stiffness modeling of each sub-system using the analytical approach and the finite element analysis; and (iii) generation of the stiffness model of the entire system by means of linear superposition. In the modeling process of each sub-system, the virtual work princi- ple and overall deflection Jacobian are employed with special attention to the bending rigidity of the constrained passive limb and the interface stiffness of the machine frame. The stiffness distribution of a 5-DOF hybrid robot named TriVariant-B is investigated as an example to illustrate the effectiveness of this approach. The contributions of component rigidities to that of the system are evaluated using global indices. 3A Study on 3D FE Simulation Method of NC Bending Process of Thin-walled Tube显示文摘The numerical control (NC) precision bending process of thin-walled tube is on e of advanced plastic forming processes with high efficiency, forming precision, strength/weight ratio and low cost, thus it is playing more and more important role in manufacturing parts in aerospace and automobile industries. However, the determination of parameters crucial to make sure tube parts qualified is heavil y experience-based and involves repeated trial-and-errors in practice, which makes the production efficiency reduce drastically and does not fulfill the deve lopment of high technology. With quick development of computer technology and gr adual perfect of plastic forming theory, computer numerical simulation based on finite element method (FEM) has become one of important tools of researching and developing plastic forming technology. Development trend of NC precision bendin g process of tube is simulating its forming process by FEM. Because NC tube bend ing is of 3D nature, it is of great importance to analyze the forming mechanism and find out the influence law of forming parameters on forming process in the N C precision bending process of thin-walled tube quantitatively by 3D FE simulat ion. Based on the rigid-plastic finite element method (FEM) principle, a 3-dimens ional (3D) rigid-plastic FE simulation system named TBS -3D (tube bending simu lation by 3D FEM) for the NC bending process of thin-walled tube has been devel oped, a reasonable FEM model has been established. By use of this FEM simulation system, a NC bending process of thin-walled has been simulated. And deformed m eshes under different bending stages, stress distribution along bending directio n, relationship between maximal wall thickness changing ratio and bending angle have been obtained. And then some forming laws of NC tube bending obtained are a s follows: (1) NC bending process make tube elongate to some extent; (2) Charact eristic of stress distribution is that the outer area is undergoing tensile stre ss, the inner area is undergoing compression stress, and stress neutral layer mo ves close to the inner area, which is in good accordance with the practice; (3) Maximal wall thinning ratio in the outer tensile area changes only a little with increase of bending angle, and maximal wall thickening ratio in the inner compr ession area increases linearly with bending angle. 5Role of bronchoscopy in critically ill patients managed in intermediate care units - indications and complications: A narrative review显示文摘Flexible bronchoscopy(FB)has become a standard of care for the triad of inspection,sampling,and treatment in critical care patients.It is an invaluable tool for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes in critically ill patients in intensive care unit(ICU).Less is known about its role outside the ICU,particularly in the intermediate care unit(IMCU),a specialized environment,where an intermediate grade of intensive care and monitoring between standard care unit and ICU is provided.In the IMCU,the leading indications for a diagnostic work-up are:To visualize airway system/obstructions,perform investigations to detect respiratory infections,and identify potential sources of hemoptysis.The main procedures for therapeutic purposes are secretion aspiration,mucus plug removal to solve atelectasis(total or lobar),and blood aspiration during hemoptysis.The decision to perform FB might depend on the balance between potential benefits and risks due to frailty of critically ill patients.Serious adverse events related to FB are relatively uncommon,but they may be due to lack of expertise or appropriate precautions.Finally,nowadays,during dramatic recent coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic,the exact role of FB in COVID-19 patients admitted to IMCU has yet to be clearly defined.Hence,we provide a concise review on the role of FB in an IMCU setting,focusing on its indications,technical aspects and complications.Vincenzo G Menditto Federico Mei Benedetta Fabrizzi Martina Bonifazi 2021World Journal of Critical Care Medicine2021,10,6:3
