1Effect of Huqian Wan on liver-Yin and kidney-Yin deficiency patterns in patients with knee osteoarthritis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To observe the curative effect of Huqian Wan on liver and kidney-Yin deficiency knee osteoarthritis(KOA).METHODS: One hundred patients were randomly divided into a treatment(50 patients) and control group(50 patients). In the treatment group, patients orally took the Chinese medicine Huqian Wan. Control group patients orally took Votalin, 75 mg, once a day, for 8 weeks. The visual analog scale(VAS), Western Ontario and Mc Master University Osteoarthritis Index(WOMAC), and Medical Outcomes Study Short Form 36-Item Health Survey(SF36) were used to evaluate the curative effect before treatment and after 8 and 16 weeks of treatment.RESULTS: VAS and WOMAC scores significantly decreased and SF 36 scores significantly increased after treatment in both groups compared with before treatment(P < 0.05). There were significant differences in VAS, WOMAC, and SF 36 score changes between the two groups at week 16(P < 0.05).There was a significant increase in VAS and WOMAC scores in the control groups(P < 0.05) between weeks 8 and 16, but no significant difference was found in the treatment group(P > 0.05).CONCLUSION: Huqian Wan could effectively improve the clinical symptoms and quality of life in patients with KOA. 2Changes and correlation of microorganism and flavor substances during persimmon vinegar fermentation显示文摘To investigate the microbial diversity and the change of the flavor substances during the traditional natural persimmon vinegar fermentation,two group samples from alcohol fermentation stage(A)and acetic acid fermentation stage(B)were analyzed.The results showed that Burkholderia,Lactobacillus,Acetobacter,Komagataeibacter were the main bacteria,and the major fungi were Saccharomyces,Hanseniaspora,Hortaea,and Cladosporium at the genus level.The contents of flavonoids and polyphenols in B increased by 17.91%and 26.59%compared with A,respectively.The superoxide anion scavenging activity significantly increased by 20.15%.The contents of total free amino acids were 5709.99±410.36 mg/L and 5736.16±472.02 mg/L,and the total contents of 9 organic acids were 19.89±1.20 g/L and 33.77±2.49 g/L in samples A and B,respectively.Pearson correlation analysis showed that 11 flavor compounds were related to Lactobacillus and Leuconostoc;8 and 10 compounds were respectively related to Komagataeibacter and Acetobacter;13 and 19 flavor compounds were respectively associated with Saccharomyces and Monascus.Orthogonal Partial Least Square(OPLS)model showed that the contents of Leu,Lys,and lactic acid were mainly associated with fungi,andγ-aminobutyric acid(GABA)content was correlated with Lactobacillus,Acetobacter,Leuconostoc,and Saccharomyces.This study revealed the relationship between microbial diversity and flavor compounds in persimmon vinegar produced by spontaneous fermentation.The results can provide a theoretical support for the safety and health assessment of persimmon vinegar.Dahong Wang Mengyang Wang Luwei Cao Xiaotong Wang Jianrui Sun Jiangfeng Yuan Shaobin Gu 2022Food Bioscience2022,46,2:4
3Preclinical efficacy against acute myeloid leukaemia of SH1573, a novel mutant IDH2 inhibitor approved for clinical trials in China显示文摘Acute myeloid leukaemia(AML) is the most common form of acute leukaemia in adults,with increasing incidence with age and a generally poor prognosis.Almost 20% of AML patients express mutant isocitrate dehydrogenase 2(mIDH2),which leads to the accumulation of the carcinogenic metabolite 2-hydroxyglutarate(2-HG),resulting in poor prognosis.Thus,global institutions have been working to develop mIDH2 inhibitors.SH1573 is a novel mIDH2 inhibitor that we independently designed and synthesised.We have conducted a comprehensive study on its pharmacodynamics,pharmacokinetics and safety.First,SH1573 exhibited a strong selective inhibition of mIDH2 R140 Q protein,which could effectively reduce the production of 2-HG in cell lines,serum and tumors of an animal model.It could also promote the differentiation of mutant AML cell lines and granulocytes in PDX models.Then,it was confirmed that SH1573 possessed characteristics of high bioavailability,good metabolic stability and wide tissue distribution.Finally,toxicological data showed that SH1573 had no effects on the respiratory system,cardiovascular system and nervous system,and was genetically safe.This research successfully promoted the approval of SH1573 for clinical trials(CTR20200247).All experiments demonstrated that,as a potential drug against mIDH2 R140 Q acute myeloid leukaemia,SH1573 was effective and safe.Zhiqiang Wang Zhibo Zhang Yong Li Li Sun Dezhen Peng Danyu Du Xian Zhang Luwei Han Liwen Zhao Ligong Lu Hongzhi Du Shengtao Yuan Meixiao Zhan 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,6:3
4Carbon‐based metal‐free catalysts for electrochemical CO2 reduction: Activity, selectivity, and stability显示文摘Zero or negative emissions of carbon dioxide(CO2)is the need of the times,as inexorable rising and alarming levels of CO2 in the atmosphere lead to global warming and severe climate change.The electrochemical CO2 reduction(eCO2R)to value‐added fuels and chemicals by using renewable electricity provides a cleaner and more sustainable route with economic benefits,in which the key is to develop clean and economical electrocatalysts.Carbon‐based catalyst materials possess desirable properties such as high offset potential for H2 evolution and chemical stability at the negative applied potential.Although it is still challenging to achieve highly efficient carbon‐based catalysts,considerable efforts have been devoted to overcoming the low selectivity,activity,and stability.Here,we summarize and discuss the recent progress in carbon‐based metal‐free catalysts including carbon nanotubes,carbon nanofibers,carbon nanoribbons,graphene,carbon nitride,and diamonds with an emphasis on their activity,product selectivity,and stability.In addition,the key challenges and future potential approaches for efficient eCO2R to low carbon‐based fuels are highlighted.For a good understanding of the whole history of the development of eCO2R,the CO2 reduction reactions,principles,and techniques including the role of electrolytes,electrochemical cell design and evaluation,product selectivity,and structural composition are also discussed.The metal/metal oxides decorated with carbon‐based electrocatalysts are also summarized.We aim to provide insights for further development of carbon‐based metal‐free electrocatalysts for CO2 reduction from the perspective of both fundamental understanding and technological applications in the future.Israr Masood ul Hasan Luwei Peng Jianfeng Mao Ruiman He Yongxia Wang Jing Fu Nengneng Xu Jinli Qiao 2021Carbon Energy2021,3,1:2
5Thermal Performance Analysis of PCM Capsules Packed-Bed System with Biomimetic Leaf Hierarchical Porous Structure显示文摘As an efficient natural selection nutrient transport system,biomimetic leaf hierarchical porous structure has unique advantages in material transportation and energy transfer.Biomimetic leaf hierarchical porous structure has been widely used in solar thermochemical reactions,photocatalysis,and energy storage.To improve the thermal efficiency and reduce the power consumption,the authors introduce the idea of bionic leaf hierarchical porous structure packed-bed latent heat thermal energy storage(LHTES)system.Under the same porosity,the diameter of the PCM capsules is designed to change along the flow direction to optimize the thermal performance.The effects of velocity on temperature distribution,pressure drop,liquid fraction,and thermal storage capacity of the conventional uniform model and bionic leaf hierarchical porous model are analyzed.The results show that the bionic leaf hierarchical porous structure can thin the thickness of the thermocline,reduce the pressure drop,increase the heat transfer area,and improve the thermal response of the packed-bed compared with the conventional uniform model.The maximum increases of liquid fraction and completion rate are 36.6%and 20.3%with pressure drop reduction of 25 Pa,respectively.The maximum decrease of the above-melting point(MP)thermocline is 51.7%as well.These results provide suggestions to optimize the packed-bed LHTES system and improve its thermal performance under practical conditions.DONG Yan WANG Fuqiang YANG Luwei SHI Xuhang ZHANG Guoliang SHUAI Yong 2021Journal of Thermal Science2021,30,5:2

8Risk of simulated microgravity on testicular injury induced by high-LET carbon-ion beams in mice显示文摘This study investigated the impact of simulated microgravity on acute injury induced by low doses of carbon ions in male reproductive organs of mice,and determined alterations in spermatogenic function and expression levels of apoptotic factors in mice following exposure to acute irradiation after 7 days of simulated microgravity.The results demonstrated that significant reductions in spermatozoa,primary spermatocytes and spermatogonia,and increased globular cells in seminiferous tubule and pro-apoptotic proteins were observed in the group exposed to over0.4 Gy irradiation.Collectively,the data suggest that lesions inflicted by simulated microgravity are not markedly modified by lower doses of irradiation(0.2 Gy)in mouse testis compared to the control group.However,testicular impairments were markedly evident in the group exposed to higher doses of carbon ions plus simulated microgravity,which may be due at least in part to elevated apoptosis initiated by the mitochondrial apoptosis pathway in germ cells.LIU Yang ZHANG Luwei ZHANG Hong WU Zhenhua Wang Zhenhua WANG Yibo LI Hongyan MA Xiaofei XIE Yi 2013Nuclear Science and Techniques2013,24,6:1

11Decoding the spatiotemporal regulation of transcription factors during human spinal cord development显示文摘The spinal cord is a crucial component of the central nervous system that facilitates sensory processing and motor performance.Despite its importance,the spatiotemporal codes underlying human spinal cord development have remained elusive.In this study,we have introduced an image-based single-cell transcription factor(TF)expression decoding spatial transcriptome method(TF-seqFISH)to investigate the spatial expression and regulation of TFs during human spinal cord development.By combining spatial transcriptomic data from TF-seqFISH and single-cell RNA-sequencing data,we uncovered the spatial distribution of neural progenitor cells characterized by combinatorial TFs along the dorsoventral axis,as well as the molecular and spatial features governing neuronal generation,migration,and differentiation along the mediolateral axis.Notably,we observed a sandwich-like organization of excitatory and inhibitory interneurons transiently appearing in the dorsal horns of the developing human spinal cord.In addition,we integrated data from 10×Visium to identify early and late waves of neurogenesis in the dorsal horn,revealing the formation of laminas in the dorsal horns.Our study also illuminated the spatial differences and molecular cues underlying motor neuron(MN)diversification,and the enrichment of Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis(ALS)risk genes in MNs and microglia.Interestingly,we detected disease-associated microglia(DAM)-like microglia groups in the developing human spinal cord,which are predicted to be vulnerable to ALS and engaged in the TYROBP causal network and response to unfolded proteins.These findings provide spatiotemporal transcriptomic resources on the developing human spinal cord and potential strategies for spinal cord injury repair and ALS treatment.Yingchao Shi Luwei Huang Hao Dong Meng Yang Wenyu Ding Xiang Zhou Tian Lu Zeyuan Liu Xin Zhou Mengdi Wang Bo Zeng Yinuo Sun Suijuan Zhong Bosong Wang Wei Wang Chonghai Yin Xiaoqun Wang Qian Wu 2024Cell Research2024,34,3:0
12Diffusion Kinetics Study of Lithium Ion in the Graphdiyne Based Electrode显示文摘Herein,we report a comparative investigation of the electrochemical lithium diffusion within graphidyne(GDY)based electrodes.The transfer kinetic behaviors of lithium ions during the insertion/extraction process are analyzed through different methods including the galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)and the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS).GDY with the morphology of nanosheets(GDY NS)shows lithium diffusion coefficients in the orders range of 10^(−12)-10^(−13) cm^(2)/s through the GITT method.Meanwhile,EIS indicates quite a lower value of lithium diffusion coefficients between 10^(−13) and 10^(−15) cm^(2)/s,which indicates that the analysis technique has an influence on the evaluation of GDY-based electrodes.In addition,under the same measurement condition of GITT,GDY nanoparticles(GDY NP)exhibit a lower value of Li+diffusion coefficient(10^(−14)-10^(−16) cm^(2)/s)during the charge-discharge process compared to those of GDY NS,which can be ascribed to the wide distributing range of particle size in GDY NP based electrodes.The analysis results in this work reveal that the aggregating forms of GDY electrode material have an important effect on the diffusion process of lithium ions,which provides a pathway to optimize the performance of GDY-based energy storage devices.ZHANG Luwei LIU Jingyi BAI Ling WANG Ning 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,6:0
13Bayesian estimation-based sentiment word embedding model for sentiment analysis显示文摘Sentiment word embedding has been extensively studied and used in sentiment analysis tasks.However,most existing models have failed to differentiate high-frequency and low-frequency words.Accordingly,the sentiment information of low-frequency words is insufficiently captured,thus resulting in inaccurate sentiment word embedding and degradation of overall performance of sentiment analysis.A Bayesian estimation-based sentiment word embedding(BESWE)model,which aims to precisely extract the sentiment information of low-frequency words,has been proposed.In the model,a Bayesian estimator is constructed based on the co-occurrence probabilities and sentiment proba-bilities of words,and a novel loss function is defined for sentiment word embedding learning.The experimental results based on the sentiment lexicons and Movie Review dataset show that BESWE outperforms many state-of-the-art methods,for example,C&W,CBOW,GloVe,SE-HyRank and DLJT1,in sentiment analysis tasks,which demonstrate that Bayesian estimation can effectively capture the sentiment information of low-frequency words and integrate the sentiment information into the word embedding through the loss function.In addition,replacing the embedding of low-frequency words in the state-of-the-art methods with BESWE can significantly improve the performance of those methods in sentiment analysis tasks.Jingyao Tang Yun Xue Ziwen Wang Shaoyang Hu Tao Gong Yinong Chen Haoliang Zhao Luwei Xiao 2022CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2022,7,2:0

15Low-power STED nanoscopy based on temporal and spatial modulation显示文摘Stimulated emission depletion(STED)nanoscopy enables the visualization of subcellular organelles in unprecedented detail.However,reducing the power dependency remains one of the greatest challenges for STED imaging in living cells.Here,we propose a new method,called modulated STED,to reduce the demand for depletion power in STED imaging by modulating the information from the temporal and spatial domains.In this approach,an excitation pulse is followed by a depletion pulse with a longer delay;therefore,the fluorescence decay curve contains both confocal and STED photons in a laser pulse period.With time-resolved detection,we can remove residual diffraction-limited signals pixel by pixel from STED photons by taking the weighted difference of the depleted photons.Finally,fluorescence emission in the periphery of an excitation spot is further inhibited through spatial modulation of fluorescent signals,which replaced the increase of the depletion power in conventional STED.We demonstrate that the modulated STED method can achieve a resolution of<100 nm in both fixed and living cells with a depletion power that is dozens of times lower than that of conventional STED,therefore,it is very suitable for long-term superresolution imaging of living cells.Furthermore,the idea of the method could open up a new avenue to the implementation of other experiments,such as light-sheet imaging,multicolor and three-demensional(3D)super-resolution imaging.Luwei Wang Yue Chen Yong Guo Weixin Xie Zhigang Yang Xiaoyu Weng Wei Yan JunleQu 2022Nano Research2022,15,4:0

17A Passive Circuit of Battery Management Without Power Supply Designed for Commercial Space显示文摘Recently for lithium-ion batteries in satellites and spaceships,the Battery Management System(BMS)has become essential to enhance life and guarantee safety.However,most of the balance management circuits need complicated cell sensing and duty control modules.Such circuits are too costly to commercialize.In order to reduce the cost,weight,volume and energy consumption of BMS,this paper proposes a new battery management circuit.The designed circuit is passive and small in size.The charge voltage is regulated by increasing the bypass current through an adjustable reference chip.Experimental results show that the bypass current increases linearly if the charging voltage is in the range of 4.05 V to 4.2 V Also after several charge-discharge cycles,the differences between batteries visibly decrease.The proposed circuit is small in size,low in power con sumption and econo mical,making it ideal for commercial space.LIAO Luwei XU Qifeng XIN Yubao SONG Junchao WANG Yongkang 2019Aerospace China2019,20,3:0
