| 1 | Soil surface roughness change and its effect on runoff and erosion on the Loess Plateau of China显示文摘As an important parameter in the soil erosion model, soil surface roughness(SSR) is used to quantitatively describe the micro-relief on agricultural land. SSR has been extensively studied both experimentally and theoretically; however, no studies have focused on understanding SSR on the Loess Plateau of China. This study investigated changes in SSR for three different tillage practices on the Loess Plateau of China and the effects of SSR on runoff and erosion yield during simulated rainfall. The tillage practices used were zero tillage(ZT), shallow hoeing(SH) and contour ploughing(CP). Two rainfall intensities were applied, and three stages of water erosion processes(splash erosion(I), sheet erosion(II) and rill erosion(III)) were analyzed for each rainfall intensity. The chain method was used to measure changes in SSR both initially and after each stage of rainfall. A splash board was used to measure the splash erosion at stage I. Runoff and sediment data were collected continuously at 2-min intervals during rainfall erosion stages II and III. We found that SSR of the tilled surfaces ranged from 1.0% to 21.9% under the three tillage practices, and the order of the initial SSR for the three treatments was ZT0.49) for the ZT, SH and CP treatments. The runoff initiation time was longer in the SH and CP treatments than in the ZT treatment. There were no significant differences in the total runoff yields among the ZT, SH and CP treatments. | 3 | Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry method for determination ofβ-propiolactone in human inactivated rabies vaccine and its hydrolysis analysis显示文摘A simple method was established for the determination of β-propiolactone(BPL) in human inactivated rabies vaccine by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS). The determination was performed on an Agilent HP-INNOWAX(30 m ? 0.32 mm i.d., 0.25 mm) capillary column at the temperature of 80 °C.Electrospray ionization(ESI) was used by selective ion detection at m/z 42. The temperature for ESI source and inlet was set at 230 °C and 200 °C, respectively. Helium was used as the carrier gas at a flow rate of 25.1 m L/min. The total run time was 8 min. Acetonitrile and other components in the sample did not interfere with the determination of BPL. The results showed good linearity of BPL in the range of0.50–10.01 μg/mL, with the limit of detection and the limit of quantification of 0.015 μg/mL and0.050 μg/mL, respectively. Satisfactory precision was achieved for the current developed method. The method was applied to detect 6 batches of vaccine samples, and the results indicated that the target analyte BPL was present in three batches of unpurified samples, but was not detected in the purified samples, indicating the test samples were qualified. | 4 | Therapeutic potential of traditional Chinese medicine for the treatment of NAFLD:A promising drug Potentilla discolor Bunge显示文摘Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)is characterized by excessive accumulation of hepatic lipids and metabolic stress-induced liver injury.There are currently no approved effective pharmacological treatments for NAFLD.Traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)has been used for centuries to treat patients with chronic liver diseases without clear disease types and mechanisms.More recently,TCM has been shown to have unique advantages in the treatment of NAFLD.We performed a systematic review of the medical literature published over the last two decades and found that many TCM formulas have been reported to be beneficial for the treatment of metabolic dysfunctions,including Potentilla discolor Bunge(PDB).PDB has a variety of active compounds,including flavonoids,terpenoids,organic acids,steroids and tannins.Many compounds have been shown to exhibit a series of beneficial effects for the treatment of NAFLD,including anti-oxidative and anti-inflammatory functions,improvement of lipid metabolism and reversal of insulin resistance.In this review,we summarize potential therapeutic effects of TCM formulas for the treatment of NAFLD,focusing on the medicinal properties of natural active compounds from PDB and their underlying mechanisms.We point out that PDB can be classified as a novel candidate for the treatment and prevention of NAFLD. | Longshan Ji Qian Li Yong He Xin Zhang Zhenhua Zhou Yating Gao Miao Fang Zhuo Yu Robim M.Rodrigues Yueqiu Gao Man Li | 2022 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,9: | 4 |

| 6 | Compatibility of rubber stoppers for recombinant antitumor-antivirus protein injection by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry显示文摘A simple, rapid, and sensitive gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method was developed and validated for the simultaneous determination of two fatty acids, methyl hexadecanoate (MH) and methyl stearate (MS), to allow the evaluation of packaging-drug compatibility. The two migrants were quantified in selective ion-monitoring (SIM) mode, with limits of detection (LOD) of 0.0030 μg/mL and 0.0121 μg/mL. Linear calibration curves for MH and MS were obtained in the concentration ranges of 0.1011–5.0570 μg/mL and 0.2015–10.0740 μg/mL, respectively. The developed method was successfully applied to estimate the safety of the injection of recombinant antitumor-antivirus protein (RAAP). The results showed that the possible maximum daily intake was 3.0 ng and 12.1 ng for MH and MS, respectively. | 7 | Spatial structure and seasonal changes of nekton assemblages in the Taiwan Strait显示文摘The Taiwan Strait is a transition zone between the East China Sea and the South China Sea with unique hydrology and a geographical environment that creates special marine community features.To analyze the spatial structure and seasonal changes of the nekton assemblages in the Taiwan Strait,seasonal experimental trawl surveys were conducted during 2006–2007.The results showed that there were two assemblages in the area with different sets of species,and the average similarity within each group varies between 39.38% and 74.20%.By using multivariate statistical analysis and analyzing the distribution of dominant species,we found that the structures of the assemblages had obvious seasonal variation.The middle region from the Putian transect to the Xiamen transect could be considered a mixing area for the two assemblages.The analysis of the relationship between species assemblages and environmental factors indicated that temperature was the most important factor affecting the community structure in cold seasons,and 22.5°C and 17°C could be considered dividing lines for spring and winter,respectively.In warm seasons,the most important factor was water depth,but the relationship with depth was not as significant,with a correlation between 0.264 and 0.399.The seasonal changes of nekton assemblages basically reflected the dynamic currents in the Taiwan Strait.The south coastal assemblage extended to nearly the entire area of the Taiwan Strait along with a strong and intense warm current that shrinks in spring and winter when the southward intrusion of the cold Zhejiang-Fujian coastal current becomes stronger.The impact of shortterm and long-term environmental changes,such as extreme weather,global warming and human activity on nekton assemblages,had been recognized but need further research.Our study on nekton assemblages could be used as a baseline for measuring future changes. | SONG Puqing LIN Longshan LI Yuan ZHONG Zhihui | 2016 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2016,35,6: | 3 |

| 9 | Composition of fish species in the Bering and Chukchi Seas and their responses to changes in the ecological environment显示文摘Based on trawl surveys in the Bering Sea and Chukchi Sea during the 2010 Chinese National Arctic Research Expedition, fish biodiversity characteristics, such as fish composition, dominant species, biodiversity, and faunal characteristics were conducted. We also discussed the responses of fishes to the quick changes in Arctic climate. The results showed that a total of 41 species in 14 families were recorded in these waters. The dominant species were Hippoglossoides robustus, Boreogadus saida, Myoxocephalus scorpius, Lumpenus fabricii, and Artediellus scaber. There were 35 coldwater species, accounting for 85.37%, and six cold temperate species, occupying 14.63%. The habitat types of fish could be grouped as follows: 35 species of demersal fishes, five benthopelagic fishes, and one pelagic fish. The Shannon–Wiener diversity index(H)(range between 0 and 2.18, 1.21 on average) was not high, and descended from south to north. | 10 | Fresh Amniotic Membrane Transplantation Combined Lamellar Keratoplasty for Patients with Recurrent Mooren's Ulcer显示文摘Purpose: To investigate the possibility of amniotic membrane as an immunologicalinsulating band to reduce the recurrent frequency of Mooren's ulcer.Methods: Twelve cases(12 eyes)with recurrent Mooren's Ulcer were observed. Amongthem, 4 cases(4 eyes)were male and 8 cases(8 eyes) female, ranging in age between 26and 51 years[mean(41 ± 3)years]. Three eyes recurred once, 5 eyes twice, and 4 eyesthree before. Eleven of 12 cases (11/12 eyes)with frequently recurrent Mooren's ulcerunderwent lamellar keratoplasty combined amniotic membrane transplantation(AMT).One patient who had entire corneal ulceration accepted AMT alone.Results: Follow-up time is 12 to 29 months, [mean (23 ± 6) months]. Before AMT, therecurrent frequency of Mooren's Ulcer of all cases after corneal surgery was 1 ~ 7 months[mean(3 ± 2)months]. Nine of 12 eyes with lamellar keratoplasty combined AMT did notrecur within the observation period; 2 eyes recurred 11 months after the surgery. Threemonths postoperatively, neovascularization was observed, which made it nearly impossibleto decipher between amniotic membrane and its nearby conjunctiva, only at the junctionof the transplant can some trails be observed. One case with entire AMT alone showedgraft resolution and neovascularization in 1 month.Conclusion:AMT combined with lamellar keratoplasty and lesion excision may delayrecurrence of Mooren's Ulcer, reduce its recurrent frequency. Besides the effects ofdecreasing inflammation, it may have immunological insulating function as well. | 11 | Advances in Chinese Arctic and subarctic research in marine biology and ecology with emphasis on the Pacific Arctic sector显示文摘The Arctic is one of the most sensitive regions that respond through feedback to global climate changes. Climatic, hydrological and ecological changes in the Arctic are clear evidence of global warming. In 2012 and 2014, the 5 th and 6 th Chinese National Arctic Research Expeditions undertook studies in the Bering Sea, the Arctic Ocean(including the Chukchi Sea), and the Norwegian Sea. These studies provided us with a better understanding of the marine biology and ecology in the Arctic and subarctic regions, particularly in the Pacific Arctic sector. Rapid changes observed in the Arctic environment include the shrinking of cold-water masses in the Bering Sea in the summer, and elevated water temperatures promoting phytoplankton blooms, leading to an increase in phytoplankton transferred to higher trophic levels. As a result, the transfer efficiency of organic matter toward the bottom weakened, leading to a reduction in benthic biomass. This is consistent with expectations that the overall carbon and energy flux will ultimately switch from the dominant mode of sea ice–algae–benthos to one of phytoplankton–zooplankton. Influenced by Pacific water inflow, fluvial runoff and melting sea ice, the Chukchi Sea exhibited different responses to various environmental changes. Interactions between water masses led to other interannual ecological shifts. | 16 | Study on degradation kinetics of epalrestat in aqueous solutions and characterization of its major degradation products under stress degradation conditions by UHPLC-PDA-MS/MS显示文摘Drug stability is closely related to drug safety and needs to be considered in the process of drug production,package and storage.To investigate the stability of epalrestat,a carboxylic acid derivative,a reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatography(RP-HPLC)method was developed in this study and applied to analyzing the degradation kinetics of epalrestat in aqueous solutions in various conditions,such as different pH,temperatures,ionic strengths,oxidation and irradiation.The calibration curve was A=1.6×10^5C–1.3×10^3(r=0.999)with the liner range of 0.5–24μg/mL,the intra-day and inter-day precision was less than 2.0%,as was the repeatibility.The average accuracy for different concentrations was more than 98.5%,indicating that perfect recoveries were achieved.Degradation kinetic parameters such as degradation rate constants(k),activation energy(Ea)and shelf life(t0.9)under different conditions were calculated and discussed.The results indicated that the degradation behavior of epalrestat was pH-dependent and the stability of epalrestat decreased with the rised irradiation and ionic strength;however,it was more stable in neutral and alkaline conditions as well as lower temperatures.The results showed that the degradation kinetics of epalrestat followed first-order reaction kinetics.Furthermore,the degradation products of epalrestat under stress conditions were identified by UHPLC-PDA-MS/MS,with seven degradation products being detected and four of them being tentatively identified. | Hong Sun Suyan Liu Xun Gao Zhili Xiong Zhonggui He Longshan Zhao | 2019 | Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2019,9,6: | 1 |
