1Aspirin alleviates endothelial gap junction dysfunction through inhibition of NLRP3inflammasome activation in LPS-induced vascular injury显示文摘The loss of endothelial connective integrity and endothelial barrier dysfunction can lead to increased vascular injury, which is related to the activation of endothelial inflammasomes. There are evidences that low concentrations of aspirin can effectively prevent cardiovascular diseases. We hypothesized that low-dose aspirin could ameliorate endothelial injury by inhibiting the activation of NLRP3 inflammasomes and ultimately prevent cardiovascular diseases. Microvascular endothelial cells were stimulated by lipopolysaccharide(2 μg/mL) and administrated by 0.1–2 mmol/L aspirin. The wild type mice were stimulated with LPS(100 μg/kg/day), and 1 h later treated with aspirin(12.5, 62.5, or125 mg/kg/day) and dexamethasone(0.0182 mg/kg/day) for 7 days. Plasma and heart were harvested for measurement of ELISA and immunofluorescence analyses. We found that aspirin could inhibit NLRP3 inflammasome formation and activation in vitro in dose-dependent manner and has correlation between the NLRP3 inflammasome and the ROS/TXNIP pathway. We also found that low-concentration aspirin could inhibit the formation and activation of NLRP3 inflammasome and restore the expression of theendothelial tight junction protein zonula occludens-1/2(ZO1/2). 2Analysis of the element content in poplar tree leaves by femtosecond laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy显示文摘Femtosecond laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (fs-LIBS) is employed to analyze the element content in poplar tree leaves from four representative locations in Changchun City (Jingyue National Forest Park,JYP),Changchun University of Science and Technology (CUST),Casting Factory (CF) and Forging Factory (FF) of First Automobile Works (FAW) under identical experimental conditions.Those elements of N,P,K,Ca,Fe,Ti,Mn and Na are identified in the poplar tree leaves from the recorded spectrogram and the elemental content in the leaves is further obtained by applying free calibration method to the spectrogram.Our results show that the elements Ca and Fe in the poplar tree leaves from the CF area have the highest concentration in the four locations,which is a factor of 2.05 and 1.66 respectively to those of JYP.This experiment demon-strates that fs-LIBS can be utilized to analyze element content in a sample and find new applications in the environmental detection.MA Shuang GAO Xun GUO KaiMin KAHSAY Medhanie LIN JingQuan 2011Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,11:8

5A novel approach to design microwave medium of negative refractive index and simulation verification显示文摘In this paper, a novel approach is presented to synthesize microwave medium of negative refractive index by incorporating metallic wire array with negative effective permittivity into the host media such as ferrimagnet-YIG (yttrium iron garnet) applied by external magnetic field whose permeability is negative. We have designed the composite medium having negative refractive index in C/X band frequencies, analyzed and simulated its electromagnetic (EM) properties by use of EM EDA package based on time-domain finite integration method. The simulation results show that: ① the effective permittivity of the designed metallic wire array is negative in the frequency range from 7.02 GHz to 9.80 GHz; ② the permeability of YIG substrate immersed into an external magnetic field is negative in the frequency range from 5.22 GHz to 8.14 GHz; ③ EM wave can pass through the composite medium synthesized by the above designed metallic wire array and YIG substrate, and ④ the negative refraction behavior occurs on the interface between the composite medium and the normal material with positive refractive index in 7.51―8.13 GHz frequency range, in which the effective permittivity of the metallic wire array and the permeability of YIG substrate are negative simultaneously. 7The addition of microbes for treating textile wastewater显示文摘Some strains and culture of bacteria which are able to decolorize dyes and degrade polyvinyl alcohol(PVA) were isolated and selected. A pilot scale facultative anaerobic-aerobic biological process was applied for treatment of textile wastewater containing dyes and PVA. Activated carbon adsorption was used as a tertiary treatment stage, and residual sludge from clarifier returned to the anaerobic reactor again. The pilot test were carried out with two systems. One was inoculated by acclimated sludge, and the another was adding the mixed culture of dye-decoloring and PVA-degrading bacteria for forming biological films, the latter was observed to be more effective than the former. The test has run normally for ten months with a COD loading of 2.13 kg/m3/day, a BOD5 loading of 0.34 kg/m3/day in anaerobic reactor; a COD loading of 1.71 kg/m3/day, a BOD5 loading 0.44 kg/m3/day in aerobic reactor. The pollutants removal efficiency by adding microbes was about 20% higher than that by acclimated sludge. 8Effect of Methylene Blue (MB)-value of Manufactured Sand on the Durability of Concretes显示文摘The relation between the methylene blue (MB) value of MS and its limestone powder content and clay content was investigated. The effects of MB values ranging from 0.35 to 2.5 on the workability of fresh concrete, the mechanical properties, the resistance to freezing as well as the resistance to chlorine ion permeation of the hardened concrete were all investigated. The experimental results showed that the MB value had no correlation with the limestone powder content of MS, while it was directly related to the clay content. With an increase of MB value, concrete workability decreased, as did the flexural and 7-day compressive strengths, however, the 28-day compressive strength was not affected. Furthermore, influence of MB value on concretes of different strength levels was different. For low-strength concretes, an increase of MB value could improve its impermeability, but this was not the case for high-strength concretes. Instead, their resistance to chloride ion permeability decreased slightly. However, even a slight increase in MB value remarkably accelerated freeze-thaw damage of MS concrete. These techniques mainly include channel model,forward error correction(FEC) and modulation schemes. Firstly,a complete view of FSO system is presented which contains the description,the current research situation along with the advantages over the traditional radio frequency(RF) wireless communication and fiber optical communications. 11IGFBP7 regulates sepsis-induced epithelial-mesenchymal transition through ERK1/2 signaling显示文摘The epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)process results in fibrosis of renal tubular epithelial cells and is of great importance in the development of acute kidney injury(AKI).Urinary IGF-binding protein-7(IGFBP7)was obviously increased in AKI and is considered to be a biomarker for AKI.However,whether it has an effect on the inhibition of lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced EMT in human HK2 cells and on that of cecal ligation and puncture(CLP)-induced EMT in human HK2 cells and in mice remains to be elucidated.Western blot analysis was performed to examine the phosphorylation of ERK1/2 level and expressions of IGFBP7,ERK1/2,EMT markers,such as E-cadherin,α-SMA,and vimentin,and EMT regulatory factors,such as Snail,transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1),and connective tissue growth factor(CTGF).The levels of IGFBP7,TGF-β1,and CTGF were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Concentrations of creatinine(Cr),blood urea nitrogen(BUN),and albumin(ALB)were measured by biochemical analysis.Here,we found that LPS promoted EMT and ERK1/2 activation in HK2 cells,which were inhibited by silencing of IGFBP7.Furthermore,IGFBP7 overexpression significantly increased EMT and ERK1/2 activation in HK2 cells,which were inhibited by ERK1/2 signaling inhibitor PD98059.IGFBP7 knockdown effectively attenuated renal fibrosis,concentrations of Cr,BUN and ALB,and activation of ERK1/2 signaling in CLP-induced mice.These results suggest that inhibiting IGFBP7 can effectively protect the renal tubular epithelial cells from EMT induced by LPS or CLP both in vitro and in vivo,which may be associated with inactivation of ERK1/2 signaling.Xiaolin Wang Yan Li Zhenzhen Zhao Yan Meng Jinjun Bian Rui Bao Kaimin Zhu Tao Yang 2019Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2019,51,8:3
12Surface‑Enhanced Raman Scattering Fiber Probe Based on Silver Nanocubes显示文摘Surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)provides a novel method for low concentration molecular detection.The performances were highly dependent on the sizes,geometries and distributions of metal nanostructures.Here,highly sensitive SERS fber probe based on silver nanocubes(Ag NCs)was fabricated,by assembled nanostructures on planar and tapered fber tips.Ag NCs were synthesized by polyol method,and controlled by reductant content,reaction temperatures and crystal growth durations.Tapered fbers with diferent cone angles were prepared by chemical etching.The electromagnetic distribution simulation indicated that nanocubes had stronger electric feld between two cubes and vertex corners than nanosphere,under 532 nm laser excitation.The intensity could reach 53.52 V/m,for cubes with 70 nm edge length.The SERS performance of probes was characterized using crystal violet analyte.The detectable lowest concentration could reach 10^(-9) and 10^(-10) M for planar and tapered fber probes,respectively.The corresponding enhancement factor could be 9.02×10^(7) and 6.22×10^(8).The relationship between SERS peak intensities and analyte concentrations showed well linear,which indicated both fber probes could be applied for both qualitative and quantitative analysis.Furthermore,optimal cone angle of tapered fber SERS probe was 8.3°.The tapered fber SERS probes have highly sensitive activity and great potential in substance detection.Miao Yu Qihang Tian Guangyuan He Kaimin Cui Jihong Zhang 2021Advanced Fiber Materials2021,3,6:3
13Cancer classification with data augmentation based on generative adversarial networks显示文摘Accurate diagnosis is a significant step in cancer treatment.Machine learning can support doctors in prognosis decision-making,and its performance is always weakened by the high dimension and small quantity of genetic data.Fortunately,deep learning can effectively process the high dimensional data with growing.However,the problem of inadequate data remains unsolved and has lowered the performance of deep learning.To end it,we propose a generative adversarial model that uses non target cancer data to help target generator training.We use the reconstruction loss to further stabilize model training and improve the quality of generated samples.We also present a cancer classification model to optimize classification performance.Experimental results prove that mean absolute error of cancer gene made by our model is 19.3%lower than DC-GAN,and the classification accuracy rate of our produced data is higher than the data created by GAN.As for the classification model,the classification accuracy of our model reaches 92.6%,which is 7.6%higher than the model without any generated data.Kaimin WEI Tianqi LI Feiran HUANG Jinpeng CHEN Zefan HE 2022Frontiers of Computer Science2022,16,2:2
14Compound Danshen Dripping Pill inhibits hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure in ApoE and LDLR dual deficient mice via multiple mechanisms显示文摘Heart failure is the leading cause of death worldwide.Compound Danshen Dripping Pill(CDDP)or CDDP combined with simvastatin has been widely used to treat patients with myocardial infarction and other cardiovascular diseases in China.However,the effect of CDDP on hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure is unknown.We constructed a new model of heart failure induced by hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis in apolipoprotein E(ApoE)and LDL receptor(LDLR)dual deficient(ApoE^(–/–)LDLR^(–/–))mice and investigated the effect of CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin on the heart failure.CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin inhibited heart injury by multiple actions including anti-myocardial dysfunction and anti-fibrosis.Mechanistically,both Wnt and lysine-specific demethylase 4A(KDM4A)pathways were significantly activated in mice with heart injury.Conversely,CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin inhibited Wnt pathway by markedly up-regulating expression of Wnt inhibitors.While the anti-inflammation and anti-oxidative stress by CDDP were achieved by inhibiting KDM4A expression and activity.In addition,CDDP attenuated simvastatin-induced myolysis in skeletal muscle.Taken together,our study suggests that CDDP or CDDP plus a low dose of simvastatin can be an effective therapy to reduce hypercholesterolemia/atherosclerosis-induced heart failure.Yanfang Yang Ke Feng Liying Yuan Yuxin Liu Mengying Zhang Kaimin Guo Zequn Yin Wenjia Wang Shuiping Zhou He Sun Kaijing Yan Xijun Yan Xuerui Wang Yajun Duan Yunhui Hu Jihong Han 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,3:2
15Quantum-enhanced stochastic phase estimation with the Su(1,1)interferometer显示文摘Quantum stochastic phase estimation has many applications in the precise measurement of various physical parameters.Similar to the estimation of a constant phase,there is a standard quantum limit for stochastic phase estimation,which can be obtained with the Mach-Zehnder interferometer and coherent input state.Recently,it has been shown that the stochastic standard quantum limit can be surpassed with nonclassical resources such as squcezed light.However,practical methods to achieve quantum enhancement in the stochastic phase estimation remain largely unexplored.Here we propose a method utilizing the SU(1,1)interferometer and coherent input states to cstimate a stochastic optical phase.As an example,we investigate the Ornstcin-Uhlenback stochastic phase.We analyze the performance of this method for three key estimation problems:prediction,tracking,and smoothing.The results show significant reduction of the mean square error compared with the Mach-Zehnder interferometer under the same photon number flux inside the interferometers.In particular,we show that the method with the SU(1,1)interferometer can achieve fundamental quantum scaling,achieve stochastic Heisenberg scalinga and surpass the precision of the canonical measurement.KAIMIN ZHENG MINGHAO MI BEN WANG LANG XU LIYUN HU SHENGSHUAI LIU YANBO LOU JETAI JING LIJIAN ZHANG 2020Photonics Research2020,8,10:2
