| 3 | An Intra-Oceanic Subduction System Influenced by Ridge Subduction in the Diyanmiao Subduction Accretionary Complex of the Xar Moron Area,Eastern Margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt显示文摘This study focuses on the geology,geochemistry,Sr-Nd isotopes and their tectonic settings of three types of basalts in Diyanmiao ophiolite in the Xar Moron area located on the eastern margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt.Type I basalts are oceanic tholeiites with a depleted light rare earth element(LREE)pattern,which are similar to the typical N-mid-oceanic ridge basalt(MORB)and suggests that they were formed at a mid-oceanic ridge.The initial 87Sr/86Sr ratios of Type I basalts range from 0.703966 to 0.705276 and theεNd(t)values are from 16.49 to 17.15,indicating that they were derived from a depleted mantle source.Type II basalts belong to the medium-potassium calc-akaline series and have the geochem-ical characteristics of Nb-enriched basalt(NEB)with high Nb content(14.5 ppm)and strong enrichment in LREEs,implying that they were created by the partial melting of mantle wedge peridotite that previously metasomatized by slab melts.Type III basalts are high-Al basalt(HAB)with high-Al contents(Al_(2)0_(3)=16.75 wt.%-18.00 wt.%),distinct Nb depletion and high Th/Yb ratios.Thus they were likely gen-erated in a normal island-arc setting.Therefore,the association of MORB,NEB,and HAB in the study area may be due to the subduction of a mid-oceanic ridge,and the Diyanmiao ophiolite is proposed to be formed in the forearc setting of a mid-oceanic ridge subduction system. | Yang Cheng Qinghui Xiao Tingdong Li Liquan Xu Yuxu Fan Yan Li Lingjun Guo Jinli Pang Weiming Yuan | 2021 | Journal of Earth Science2021,32,1: | 6 |
| 4 | Human β-defensin 3 gene modification promotes the osteogenic differentiation of human periodontal ligament cells and bone repair in periodontitis显示文摘Efforts to control inflammation and achieve better tissue repair in the treatment of periodontitis have been ongoing for years.Humanβ-defensin 3,a broad-spectrum antimicrobial peptide has been proven to have a variety of biological functions in periodontitis;however,relatively few reports have addressed the effects of human periodontal ligament cells(h PDLCs)on osteogenic differentiation.In this study,we evaluated the osteogenic effects of h PDLCs with an adenoviral vector encoding humanβ-defensin 3 in an inflammatory microenvironment.Then humanβ-defensin 3 gene-modified rat periodontal ligament cells were transplanted into rats with experimental periodontitis to observe their effects on periodontal bone repair.We found that the humanβ-defensin 3 gene-modified h PDLCs presented with high levels of osteogenesis-related gene expression and calcium deposition.Furthermore,the p38 MAPK pathway was activated in this process.In vivo,humanβ-defensin 3 gene-transfected rat PDLCs promoted bone repair in SD rats with periodontitis,and the p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)pathway might also have been involved.These findings demonstrate that humanβ-defensin 3 accelerates osteogenesis and that humanβ-defensin 3 gene modification may offer a potential approach to promote bone repair in patients with periodontitis. | Lingjun Li Han Jiang Rixin Chen Jing Zhou Yin Xiao Yangheng Zhang Fuhua Yan | 2020 | International Journal of Oral Science2020,12,2: | 5 |
| 5 | Design of good QC-LDPC codes without small girth in the p-plane显示文摘A construction method based on the p-plane to design high-girth quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check (QC-LDPC) codes is proposed. Firstly the good points in every line of the p-plane can be ascertained through filtering the bad points, because the designed parity-check matrixes using these points have the short cycles in Tanner graph of codes. Then one of the best points from the residual good points of every line in the p-plane will be found, respectively. The optimal point is also singled out according to the bit error rate (BER) performance of the QC-LDPC codes at last. Explicit necessary and sufficient conditions for the QC-LDPC codes to have no short cycles are presented which are in favor of removing the bad points in the p-plane. | 6 | Long-term clinical observation of patients with acute and chronic complete spinal cord injury after transplantation of Neuro Regen scaffold显示文摘Spinal cord injury(SCI)often results in an inhibitory environment at the injury site.In our previous studies,transplantation of a scaffold combined with stem cells was proven to induce neural regeneration in animal models of complete SCI.Based on these preclinical studies,collagen scaffolds loaded with the patients’own bone marrow mononuclear cells or human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells were transplanted into SCI patients.Fifteen patients with acute complete SCI and 51 patients with chronic complete SCI were enrolled and followed up for 2 to 5 years.No serious adverse events related to functional scaffold transplantation were observed.Among the patients with acute SCI,five patients achieved expansion of their sensory positions and six patients recovered sensation in the bowel or bladder.Additionally,four patients regained voluntary walking ability accompanied by reconnection of neural signal transduction.Among patients with chronic SCI,16 patients achieved expansion of their sensation level and 30 patients experienced enhanced reflexive defecation sensation or increased skin sweating below the injury site.Nearly half of the patients with chronic cervical SCI developed enhanced finger activity.These long-term follow-up results suggest that functional scaffold transplantation may represent a feasible treatment for patients with complete SCI. | Fengwu Tang Jiaguang Tang Yannan Zhao Jiaojiao Zhang Zhifeng Xiao Bing Chen Guang Han Na Yin Xianfeng Jiang Changyu Zhao Shixiang Cheng Ziqiang Wang Yumei Chen Qiaoling Chen Keran Song Zhiwei Zhang Junjie Niu Lingjun Wang Qin Shi Liang Chen Huilin Yang Shuxun Hou Sai Zhang Jianwu Dai | 2022 | Science China(Life Sciences)2022,65,5: | 3 |

| 8 | Ruling out small stopping sets and small girth in Tanner graph of QC-LDPC code显示文摘The existing constructions of quasi-cyclic low-density parity-check (QC-LDPC) codes do not consider the problems of small stopping sets and small girth together in the Tanner graph, while their existences will lead to the bit error rate (BER) performance of QC-LDPC codes being much poorer than that of randomly constructed LDPC codes even decoding failure. To solve the problem, some theorems of the specific chosen parity-check matrix of QC-LDPC codes without small stopping sets and small girth are proposed. A novel construction for QC-LDPC codes with long block lengths is presented by multiplying mmin or the multiple of mmin, which is the minimum order of the identity matrix for the chosen parity-check matrix. However,immune rejection hampers the allogenic application of human ES cells. Over-expression of several specific transcription factors has been used to reprogram human adult cells into induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells,which are similar to hESCs in many aspects. The iPS technique makes it possible to produce patient-specific pluripotent stem cells for transplantation therapy without immune rejection. However,some challenges remain,including viral vector integration into the genome,the existence of exogenous oncogenic factors,and low induction efficiency. | 12 | Geochemistry and Tectonic History of Seamount Remnants in the Xingshuwa Subduction Accretionary Complex of the Xar Moron Area,Eastern Margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt显示文摘This study focuses on the geology,geochemistry,zircon U-Pb geochronology and tectonic settings of the three types of seamount basalts from the Xingshuwa subduction accretionary complex in the Xar Moron area,eastern margin of the Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB).The seamount remnants are composed of carbonate’cap’sediments,large volumes of pillow and massive basalts,carbonate breccia slope facies and radiolarian cherts.Group 1 basalts are characterized by high contents of P2 O5 and TiO2 with alkaline affinity and LREE enrichment,indicating that they are derived from intraplate magma.Group 2 basalts display N-MORB LREE depletion patterns,indicating that they were formed at a mid-ocean ridge.Group 3 basalts have shown distinct Nb depletion and high Th/Yb ratios,indicating that they were generated in an island arc tectonic setting.The zircon U-Pb age of Group 1 basalt sample XWT18-131 is 576.4±9.4 Ma,suggesting that the oceanic island seamount was the product of intraplate magmatism related to a mantle plume or’hot spot’in the late Neoproterozoic.The zircon U-Pb age of Group 2 basalt sample XWT18-132 is 483±22 Ma,indicating that the Paleo-Asian Ocean(PAO)was continuously expanding in the Early Ordovician.The zircon U-Pb age of Group 3 basalt sample XWT18-101 is 240.5±8.2 Ma,suggesting that this area underwent the evolutionary path of ocean-continent transition,developing towards continentalization during the Middle Triassic.Thus,we believe that there was both mantle plume-related intraplate magmatism and intraoceanic subduction during the evolution of the PAO,the CAOB possibly being an evolutionary model of an intraoceanic subduction and mantle plume magmatism complex. | CHENG Yang XIAO Qinghui LI Tingdong LI Yan FAN Yuxu XU Liquan GUO Lingjun PANG Jinli | 2021 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,4: | 1 |
| 13 | Investigation of the impact of hydrodynamic conditions on sediment resuspension in shallow lakes显示文摘In this study,we sampled the original sediment columns from three points located in the eastern,central,and western areas of Chaohu Lake,and then investigated sediment resuspension under hydraulic disturbances in the laboratory. The results showed that when the hydraulic disturbance is weak and sediment surface shear stress is small (<0.02 N/m²),sediment surface layer moves alone. When the hydraulic disturbance is moderate and sediment surface shear stress is within a threshold (3.7 N/m²),only a small proportion of the surface sediments begins to move. However,when the hydraulic disturbance is further strengthened and sediment surface shear stress is larger than the threshold value,surface sediments move smoothly. By the experimental results,we found that the plankton layer is about 1 mm (1.56% of the maximum content of suspended matter (SSCmax)),which is the major contribution of individual sediment initiation. The new sediment layer is about 19–22 mm (20.9% of the SSCmax),which considerably affects sediment resuspension in shallow lakes. The consolidated layer is about 22 mm below the bed surface,which requires high shear stress and is hard to be transferred to the water column. | 17 | The Interannual and Interdecadal Variations of Tropical Cyclone Affecting Shandong Province显示文摘Based on tropical cyclone yearbook data from 1949 to 2006,climate characteristics,such as interdecadal variation,period of tropical cyclone frequency,rainstorm and strong wind,intensity characteristics,were analyzed. Main results were as follows: tropical cyclone affecting Shandong Province was mainly from the last ten-day of July to the last ten-day of August,and its interdecadal variation was obvious. The marked periodic variation of every 2. 4 and 5 years was found according to power spectrum analysis. It showed obvious weakening tendency about tropical cyclone's intensity by using Kendall test. It also showed that August was the strongest month among a year for rainstorm frequency and intensity,and flood disaster was more easily to occur during this month. It was distinct for frequency's interdecadal variation of tropical cyclone causing rainstorm and strong wind. Marked period was existed about annual average precipitation and strong wind.
