| 2 | The R2R3-MYB transcription factor GhMYB1a regulates flavonol and anthocyanin accumulation in Gerbera hybrida显示文摘Anthocyanins and flavonols have vital roles in flower coloration, plant development, and defense.Because anthocyanins and flavonols share the same subcellular localization and common biosynthetic substrates, these pathways may compete for substrates. However, the mechanism regulating this potential competition remains unclear. Here,we identified GhMYB1a,an R2R3-MYB transcription factor involved in the regulation of anthocyanin and flavonol accumulation in gerbera(Gerbera hybrida).GhMYB1a shares high sequence similarity with that of other characterized regulators of flavonol biosynthesis. In addition,GhMYB1a is also phylogenetically grouped with these proteins. The overexpression of GhMYB1a in gerbera and tobacco(Nicotiana tabacum)resulted in decreased anthocyanin accumulation and increased accumulation of flavonols by upregulating the structural genes involved in flavonol biosynthesis. We further found that GhMYB1a functions as a homodimer instead of interacting with basic helix-loop-helix cofactors. These results suggest that GhMYB1a is involved in regulating the anthocyanin and flavonol metabolic pathways through precise regulation of gene expression. The functional characterization of GhMYB1a provides insight into the biosynthesis and regulation of flavonols and anthocyanins. | Chunmei Zhong Yi Tang Bin Pang Xukun Li Yuping Yang Jing Deng Chengyong Feng Lingfei Li Guiping Ren Yaqin Wang Jianzong Peng Shulan Sun Shan Liang Xiaojing Wang | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 7 |
| 3 | A Survey on Negative Transfer显示文摘Transfer learning(TL)utilizes data or knowledge from one or more source domains to facilitate learning in a target domain. It is particularly useful when the target domain has very few or no labeled data, due to annotation expense, privacy concerns, etc.Unfortunately, the effectiveness of TL is not always guaranteed.Negative transfer(NT),i.e.,leveraging source domain data/knowledge undesirably reduces learning performance in the target domain, and has been a long-standing and challenging problem in TL.Various approaches have been proposed in the literature to address this issue. However, there does not exist a systematic survey. This paper fills this gap,by first introducing the definition of NT and its causes, and reviewing over fifty representative approaches for overcoming NT,which fall into three categories:domain similarity estimation, safe transfer, and NT mitigation. Many areas, including computer vision, bioinformatics, natural language processing, recommender systems, and robotics, that use NT mitigation strategies to facilitate positive transfers, are also reviewed. Finally,we give guidelines on NT task construction and baseline algorithms, benchmark existing TL and NT mitigation approaches on three NT-specific datasets, and point out challenges and future research directions. To ensure reproducibility, our code is publicized at http://gffzz188fe103f8f1460asq9f9n9kk6qub6xxn.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/chamwen/NT-Benchmark. | Wen Zhang Lingfei Deng Lei Zhang Dongrui Wu | 2023 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2023,10,2: | 3 |
| 4 | Inwardly rectifying potassium channel 5.1:Structure,function,and possible roles in diseases显示文摘Inwardly rectifying potassium(Kir)channels make it easier for K^(+)to enter into a cell and subsequently regulate cellular biological functions.Kir5.1(encoded by KCNJ16)alone can form a homotetramer and can form heterotetramers with Kir4.1(encoded by KCNJ10)or Kir4.2(encoded by KCNJ15).In most cases, homomeric Kir5.1 is non-functional,while hetero-meric Kir5.1 on the cell membrane contributes to the inward flow of K^(+)ions, which can be regulated by intracellular pH and a variety of signaling mechanisms. In the form of a heterotetramer,Kir5.1 regulates Kir4.1/4.2 activity and is involved in the maintenance of nephron function.Actually, homomeric Kir5.1 may also play a very important role in diseases, including in the ventilatory response to hypoxia and hypercapnia, hearing impairment,cardio-vascular disease and cancer. With an increase in the number of studies into the roles of Kir channels, researchers are paying more attention to the pathophysiological functions of Kir5.1.This minireview provides an overview regarding these Kir5.1 roles. | Junhui Zhang Jian Han Lingfei Li Qiong Zhang Yanhai Feng Youzhao Jiang Fang Deng Yuping Zhang Qinan Wu Bing Chen Jiongyu Hu | 2021 | Genes & Diseases2021,8,3: | 0 |
| 5 | A literature review and integrated framework for the determinants of crowdfunding success显示文摘Crowdfunding is an innovative strategy for financing a new business venture from the general public instead of seeking funds in traditional ways, such as issuing bonds or bank lending. This study aims to identify the determinants affecting the success of a crowdfunding campaign and how different measurements for crowdfunding success, different crowdfunding models, and the selection of subdivided determinants influ-ence the determinants’impacts on crowdfunding success. We set the disciplines in the search strategy to select studies related to crowdfunding success.Ultimately,94 empirical papers are selected to reveal the different findings for the determinants of crowdfunding success;based on this information,we construct an integrated framework for future research. There has been much research on project-and creator-related factors;however, many of these factors have inconsistent relationships with crowdfunding success due to varying measurements of success. In particular, different measurements used within the same study for determinants or crowdfunding success may also produce inconsistent results. In addition, different crowdfunding models of a project have been found to induce additional findings. Our review of the determinants of crowdfunding success and the definitions of the determinants,as well as the proposed integrated framework, can help focus future work on relatively new or unique determinants rarely addressed in the existing literature. This work provides practical implications for both theory and practice, and directions for future research. | Lingfei Deng Qiang Ye DaPeng Xu Wenjun Sun Guangxin Jiang | 2022 | Financial Innovation2022,8,1: | 0 |
