1Ultrafast epitaxial growth of metre-sized single-crystal graphene on industrial Cu foil显示文摘A foundation of the modern technology that uses single-crystal silicon has been the growth of highquality single-crystal Si ingots with diameters up to 12 inches or larger. For many applications of graphene, large-area high-quality(ideally of single-crystal) material will be enabling. Since the first growth on copper foil a decade ago, inch-sized single-crystal graphene has been achieved. We present here the growth, in 20 min, of a graphene film of(5 ×50) cm^2 dimension with >99% ultra-highly oriented grains.This growth was achieved by:(1) synthesis of metre-sized single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) foil as substrate;(2)epitaxial growth of graphene islands on the Cu(1 1 1) surface;(3) seamless merging of such graphene islands into a graphene film with high single crystallinity and(4) the ultrafast growth of graphene film.These achievements were realized by a temperature-gradient-driven annealing technique to produce single-crystal Cu(1 1 1) from industrial polycrystalline Cu foil and the marvellous effects of a continuous oxygen supply from an adjacent oxide. The as-synthesized graphene film, with very few misoriented grains(if any), has a mobility up to ~23,000 cm^2 V^(-1)s^(-1)at 4 K and room temperature sheet resistance of ~230 Ω/□. 4Staged carotid artery angioplasty and stenting for patients with high-grade carotid stenosis with high risk of developing hyperperfusion injury:a retrospective analysis of 44 cases显示文摘Background:Hyperperfusion syndrome(HPS)is a rare but potentially a life-threatening complication after carotid artery angioplasty and stenting(CAS).Staged CAS has been an alternative to prevent HPS.Materials and methods:44 of 908 patients with high-grade internal carotid artery stenosis or near occlusion were at risk of HPS because of poor collateral flow and impaired cerebral blood flow(CBF).They were treated with first(stage 1),followed by a full CAS(stage 2)1 month later.Their 30-day outcomes were tabulated and analysed.Results:During follow-up,1 of the 44(2.2%)patients developed HPS immediately,3(7%)had postprocedural HPS(ie,transcranial Doppler(TCD)>120%)without clinical symptoms and 3(7%)required stenting at stage 1 for carotid dissections.After stage 1,there were significant improvement between the preprocedural and postprocedural CBF(0.98±0.06 vs 0.85±0.05,p<0.05),mean transit time(MTT;1.05±0.05 vs 1.15±0.05,p<0.05),time to peak(TTP;1.04±0.06 vs 1.20±0.06,p<0.05)on CT perfusion(CTP),and CBF(66.41±7.41 vs 44.44±6.43,p<0.05)on TCD.After stage 2,improvement was seen in CBF(1.01±0.07 vs 0.98±0.06,p<0.05),MTT(1.01±0.05 vs 1.05±0.05,p<0.05),TTP(0.99±0.06 vs 1.04±0.06,p<0.05)on CTP and CBF(66.41±7.41 vs 93.78±18.81,p<0.05)on TCD.2 had postoperative increase of middle cerebral artery mean flow velocity of 120%after stage 2 without clinical symptoms.Conclusion:Staged carotid artery stenting probably decreased the chance of developing HPS in this group of selected patients.Although requiring a 2-step intervention,staged CAS may be a safe and effective alternative.Dapeng Mo Gang Luo Bo Wang Ning Ma Feng Gao Xuan Sun Xiaotong Xu Zhongrong Miao 2016Stroke & Vascular Neurology2016,1,4:14
5Pediatric reference intervals in China(PRINCE):design and rationale for a large,multicenter collaborative cross-sectional study显示文摘There is a lack of accurate pediatric reference intervals(RIs) in China, with most commonly used RIs established without consideration of the effect of age and gender. The Pediatric Reference Intervals in China(PRINCE) project aims to establish and verify pediatric RIs for 31 common laboratory measurands.The project will be a large, multicenter cross-sectional study:14,490 healthy children and adolescents aged up to 19 years will be surveyed by 10 children's hospitals and one pediatric department of a university hospital. To evaluate the feasibility and efficiency of the study methods, 602 children were surveyed in the pilot phase of the PRINCE study in April 2017: it found that some measurands were distinctly age dependent and that there were differences between values for males and females. The results of the pilot study affirmed the necessity of the PRINCE project for Chinese pediatrics. The pilot also indicated potential difficulties in the full survey, e.g., difficulties in recruiting children aged under 3 years and insufficient collection of blood samples from infants. 6Exogenous abscisic acid significantly affects proteome in teaplant (Camellia sinensis) exposed to drought stress显示文摘Tea[Camellia sinensis(L.)O.Kuntze]is an important economic crop,and drought is the most important abiotic stress affecting yield and quality.Abscisic acid(ABA)is an important phytohormone responsible for activating drought resistance.Increased understanding of ABA effects on tea plant under drought stress is essential to develop drought-tolerant tea genotypes,along with crop management practices that can mitigate drought stress.The objective of the present investigation is evaluation of effects of exogenous ABA on the leaf proteome in tea plant exposed to drought stress.Leaf protein patterns of tea plants under simulated drought stress[(polyethylene glycol(PEG)-treated]and exogenous ABA treatment were analyzed in a time-course experiment using two-dimensional electrophoresis(2-DE),followed by matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight(MALDI-TOF)mass spectrometry(MS).Among the 72 protein spots identified by MALDI-TOF MS,16 proteins were downregulated and two were upregulated by exogenous ABA.The upregulated proteins have roles in glycolysis and photosystem II stabilization.Twenty-one protein spots were responsive to drought stress and most participate in carbohydrate and nitrogen metabolism,control of reactive oxygen species(ROS),defense,signaling or nucleic acid metabolism.The combined treatments of exogenous ABA and drought showed upregulation of 10 protein spots at 12 h and upregulation of 11 proteins at 72 h after initiation of drought stress.The results support the importance of the role that ABA plays in the tea plant during drought stress,by improving protein transport,carbon metabolism and expression of resistance proteins.Lin Zhou Hui Xu Sue Mischke Lyndel W Meinhardt Dapeng Zhang Xujun Zhu Xinghui Li Wanping Fang 2014Horticulture Research2014,1,1:12

8Examples of unusual ionospheric observations by the CSES prior to earthquakes显示文摘The CSES(China seismic electromagnetic satellite) was launched on February 2, 2018 in a circular polar orbit at an altitude of~507 km. One of the main objectives of CSES is to search for and characterize ionospheric perturbations that can be associated with seismic activities, to better understand the generation mechanism of such perturbations. Its scientific payload can measure a broad frequency range of electromagnetic waves and some important plasma parameters. This paper is a first-hand study of unusual observations recorded by the CSES over seismic regions prior to four earthquakes with M >7.0 since the satellite's launch. CSES detectors measured irregularities near the epicenter of these four earthquakes. 9Study about thermal runaway behavior of high specific energy density Li-ion batteries in a low state of charge显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries are widely used in electric vehicles and electronics, and their thermal safety receives widespread attention from consumers. In our study, thermal runaway testing was conducted on the thermal stability of commercial lithium-ion batteries, and the internal structure of the battery was analyzed with an in-depth focus on the key factors of the thermal runaway. 10Elevated 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2'-deoxyguanosine in genome of T24 bladder cancer cells induced by halobenzoquinones显示文摘Halobenzoquinones(HBQs) are an emerging class of halogenated disinfection byproducts(DBPs) in drinking water, which raised public concerns due to potential carcinogenic effects to human bladder. Our previous work demonstrated that HBQs and hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2)together generated oxidative DNA damage via a metal-independent and intercalationenhanced oxidation mechanism in vitro. This study further investigated the efficiency of various HBQs to induce oxidative DNA damage in T24 bladder cancer cells. Compared with T24 cells without treatment(3.1 lesions per 10~6 d G), the level of 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2′-deoxyguanosine(8-oxod G) significantly increased by 1.4, 3.2, 8.8, and 9.2 times after treatment with tetrabromo-1,4-benzoquinone(TBBQ), terachloro-1,4-benzoquinone(TCBQ),2,6-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone(2,6-DCBQ) and 2,5-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone(2,5-DCBQ) for24 hr, respectively. 13Application system and data description of the China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite显示文摘The China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite, launched into orbit from Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre on February 2 nd, 2018, is China's first space satellite dedicated to geophysical exporation. The satellite carries eight scientific payloads including high-precision magnetometers to detect electromagnetic changes in space, in particular changes associated with global earthquake disasters. 14The friction and wear characteristics and lubrication mechanism of imidazole phosphate ionic liquid显示文摘Several imidazole phosphate ionic liquids with varying carbon chain length have been synthesized at room temperature.Corrosion characteristics and tribological properties of these synthesized ionic liquids were studied using four-ball friction and wear testing machine.Its lubrication mechanism was also investigated by means of electron microscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.The ex-perimental results showed that no corrosion was generated when the imidazole phosphate ionic liquid was applied to steel-steel pair.Meanwhile,the imidazole phosphate showed excellent anti-wear and lubricating performances,its frictional performance was related to the polarity of ionic liquids.It is suggested that the ionic liquids react with friction surface to form a protective film of iron phosphate and result in reduction in friction and wear.ZHANG Lin FENG DaPeng XU Bin LIU XuQing LIU WeiMin 2009Science China(Technological Sciences)2009,52,5:5

16A comparison between acute large vessel occlusion in the posterior circulation and anterior circulation after endovascular treatment:the ANGEL-ACT registry experience显示文摘Background and purpose Endovascular treatment(EVT)has shown an overwhelming benefit for acute anterior circulation artery occlusion(ACO).Whether it can achieve the same outcomes in posterior circulation artery occlusion(PCO)has not been well explained.We aimed to evaluate the characteristics and prognosis of ACO and PCO after EVT in a nationwide registry.Method The present analysis was based on the prospective ANGEL-ACT Registry in China between November 2017 and March 2019.Demographic data,periprocedural times,recanalisation rate,intracranial haemorrhage(ICH)and 90-day functional outcomes were compared between the ACO and PCO groups.Results A total of 1793 patients were analysed including 397(22.1%)consecutive patients with PCO and 1396(77.9%)patients with ACO treated with EVT.A larger proportion of patients with PCO had intracranial atherosclerotic disease and received extra angioplasty during EVT.Successful recanalisation and 90-day favourable functional outcomes did not differ significantly between the two groups.Patients with PCO showed lower 24-hour ICH and symptomatic ICH rates.There was a trend towards higher mortality rate in the PCO group(22.09%vs 14.44%;adjusted OR 1.286(95%CI 0.820 to 2.017),p=0.2731),especially when the onset to puncture time was over 6 hours(30.77%vs 11.13%;adjusted OR 2.673(95%CI 1.280 to 5.583),p=0.0089,interactive p=0.0002).Conclusions In this large prospective multicentre registry,there was a significant difference in the characteristics and periprocedural features between patients with PCO and ACO.However,successful recanalisation and 90-day favourable functional outcomes in PCO were equivalent to those in ACO.Xuan Sun Jingyu Zhang Xu Tong Baixue Jia Dapeng Mo Ning Ma Feng Gao Lian Liu Xiaochuan Huo Ligang Song Yiming Deng Zhongrong Miao 2022Stroke & Vascular Neurology2022,7,4:4
17Estimation of stature by using the dimensions of the right hand and right foot in Han Chinese adults显示文摘The Han Chinese people are the main ethnic group in China and the largest ethnic group in the world.The dimensions of the hands and feet have been successfully used for the estimation of stature.A total of 26,927 healthy adult subjects,comprising 13,221 men and 13,706 women,were recruited.The survey samples were chosen through random cluster sampling.The mean values were significantly higher in men than those in women for all measurements(P<0.001).All the measurements showed a statistically significant correlation with stature(P<0.01).The combination of the right hand length and the right foot length was the best predictor of stature because it had the lowest standard error of estimate.The use of multiple regression equations yielded better results than did the use of linear regression equations.The accuracy of stature prediction ranged from ±4.81 to ±6.39 cm.The present study was of great importance with regards to improving the physical anthropology database of ethnic groups in China.Xinghua Zhangi Yu Wei Lianbin Zhengi Keli Yu Dapeng Zhao Jinping Bao Yonglan Li Shunhua Lu Huanjiu Xi Guochang Xu Youfeng Wen 2017Science China(Life Sciences)2017,60,1:4

19Design of novel NiSiAlY alloys in marine salt-spray environment:PartⅡ.Al-Ni-Si-Y thermodynamic dataset显示文摘The NiSiAlY material is a promising candidate to replace NiCrAlY,which can withstand the harsh saltspray conditions in marine environment.To efficiently design novel NiSiAlY alloys,this work establishes a thermodynamic dataset of the Al-Ni-Si-Y quaternary system using the CALPHAD(CALculation of PHAse Diagrams)approach.We employ this database to calculate and predict the phase constitutions and solidification behaviors of different NiSiAlY alloys concerning the content variations of Al and Si.We have further proposed the selection of the NiSiAlY alloys for serving in marine salt-spray environment with three constraints:(i)outstanding mechanical property;(ii)good high-temperature anti-oxidation;(iii)excellent corrosion resistance.This results in a compositional range of the NiSiAlY alloys with 1 wt%Kai Xu Keke Chang Miao Yu Dapeng Zhou Yong Du Liping Wang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,30:3
20Surface Exciton-Plasmon Polariton Enhanced Light Emission via Integration of Single Semiconductor Nanowires with Metal Nanostructures显示文摘The light emission enhancement behavior from single ZnO nanowires integrated with metallic contacts is investigated by micro-photoluminescence measurements.Apart from surface plasmon polaritons at the air/metal interface,the emission of a single ZnO nanowire can be coupled into guided modes of surface exciton-plasmon polaritons(SEPPs).The out-coupling avenues of SEPP guided modes are modeled in the presence of nanostructures,such as corrugation and gratings,on the metal surface.The guided modes of SEPPs in metal-contacted ZnO nanowires are calculated using the effective index method.The enhanced light emission from single semiconductor nanowires shows promise for use in highly efficient nano-emitters and nano-lasers,as well as macroscopic solid state light sources with very high efficiency.Xuejin Zhang Pengwei Wang Xinzheng Zhang Jun Xu Yongyuan Zhu Dapeng Yu 2009Nano Research2009,2,1:2
