1Aging and the peripheral vestibular system显示文摘Whereas much has been learned about age-related auditory changes in the inner ear, relatively little is known about the aging effects on the vestibular part of the inner ear-the peripheral vestibular system. Here we review relevant literature with regard to the prevalence of vestibular dysfunction, vestibular functional and structural changes in the elderly. The prevalence of vestibular dysfunction increases with age. Functionally, as age increases, VEMP amplitudes decrease, VEMP thresholds increase, VOR gain of HIT decreases. Due to the complexity of the vestibular system, variations in subject age and measurement techniques, findings in VEMP latency and caloric tests are conflicting. To address this, a direct measure of the peripheral vestibular system should be applied. Structurally, age-related loss in vestibular ganglion and otoconia have been noted; hair cell changes are not well defined; while subcellular changes remain to be explored. 2Electricity Services Based Dependability Model of Power Grid Communication Networking显示文摘The technology of Ultra-High Voltage(UHV) transmission requires higher dependability for electric power grid. Power Grid Communication Networking(PGCN),the fundamental information infrastructure,severs data transmission including control signal,protection signal,and common data services. Dependability is the necessary requirement to ensure services timely and accurately. Dependability analysis aims to predicate operation status and provide suitable strategies getting rid of the potential dangers. Due to the dependability of PGCN may be affected by external environment,devices quality,implementation strategies,and so on,the scale explosion and the structure complexity make the PGCN's dependability much challenging. In this paper,with the observation of interdependency between power grid and PGCN,we propose an electricity services based dependability analysis model of PGCN. The model includes methods of analyzing its dependability and procedures of designing the dependable strategies. 3Highly active multivalent multielement catalysts derived from hierarchical porous TiNb_(2)O_(7) nanospheres for the reversible hydrogen storage of MgH_(2)显示文摘Critical limitations in applying MgH_(2) as a hydrogen-storage medium include the high H_(2) desorption temperature and slow reaction kinetics.In this study,we synthesized hierarchical porous TiNb_(2)O_(7) spheres in micrometer scale built with 20-50 nm nanospheres,which showed stable activity to catalyze hydrogen storage in MgH_(2) as precursors.The addition of 7 wt.%TiNb_(2)O_(7) in MgH_(2) reduced the dehydrogenation onset temperature from 300 to 177℃.At 250℃,approximately 5.5 wt.%H_(2) was rapidly released in 10 min.Hydrogen uptake was detected even at room temperature under 50 bar hydrogen;4.5 wt.%H_(2) was absorbed in 3 min at 150℃,exhibiting a superior low-temperature hydrogenation performance.Moreover,nearly constant capacity was observed from the second cycle onward,demonstrating stable cyclability.During the ball milling and initial de/hydrogenation process,the high-valent Ti and Nb of TiNb_(2)O_(7) were reduced to the lower-valent species or even zero-valent metal,which in situ created multivalent multielement catalytic surroundings.A strong synergistic effect was obtained for hybrid oxides of Nb and Ti by density functional theory(DFT)calculations,which largely weakens the Mg-H bonding and results in a large reduction in kinetic barriers for hydrogen storage reactions of MgH_(2).Our findings may guide the further design and development of high-performance complex catalysts for the reversible hydrogen storage of hydrides.Lingchao Zhang Ke Wang Yongfeng Liu Xin Zhang Jianjiang Hu Mingxia Gao Hongge Pan 2021Nano Research2021,14,1:2

7Effect of Natural Zeolite on Performance of Sulfoaluminate Cement-based Planting Cementitious Material显示文摘This paper aimed to improve the water-retention performance and basic physical properties of sulfoaluminate cement(SAC)-based planting cementitious material. The effect of natural zeolite on the performance of SAC-based planting material was investigated. The water-retention performance, porosity, compressive strength, and alkalinity had been tested and TG-DSC analysis had been adopted in this paper. Experimental results showed that zeolite was effective to improve the water-retention capacity and 10%, 20% and 30% natural zeolite increased the pore volume of the hardened pastes by 10.6%, 26.0%, and 38.6%, especially pore size below 0.1 μm was increased by 9.7%, 26.2% and 17.5%. And 10% zeolite was beneficial to the compressive strengths of cementitious material and 1, 3, and 28 d compressive strength reached up to 35.9, 55.0, 80.3 MPa. Furthermore zeolite decreased the alkalinity of pore fluid of hardened cementitious material, while the addition of zeolite reached up to 30%, the alkalinity of pore fluid of hardened cementitious material decreased by 8.9%.
