1Multi-Stage Basin Development and Hydrocarbon Accumulations: A Review of the Sichuan Basin at Eastern Margin of the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Sichuan Basin is one of the uppermost petroliferous basins in China. It experienced three evolutionary phases which were marine carbonate platform(Ediacaran to Late Triassic), Indosinian-Yanshanian orogeny foreland basin(Late Triassic to Late Cretaceous) and uplift and tectonic modification(Late Cretaceous to Quaternary). The present-day tectonics of the Sichuan Basin and its periphery are characterized by three basic elements which are topography, basement type and surface structure, and two settings(plate margin and interior). Therefore, be subdivided into five units which have different structure and tectonic history. The basin contains five different sets of source rocks with thickness up to 2 500 m. These source rocks were well preserved due to the presence of Middel–Lower Triassic evaporites(>~200 m) and thick terrestrial sediments filling in the Indosinian-Yanshanian foreland basin(>3 000 m). The uplift and erosion since Late Cretaceous has significant influence on cross-strata migration and accumulation of oil and gas. 3Reproductive management through integration of PGD and MPS-based noninvasive prenatal screening/diagnosis for a family with GJB2-associated hearing impairment显示文摘A couple with a proband child of GJB2(encoding the gap junction protein connexin 26)-associated hearing impairment and a previous pregnancy miscarriage sought for a reproductive solution to bear a healthy child. Our study aimed to develop a customized preconception-to-neonate care trajectory to fulfill this clinical demand by integrating preimplantation genetic diagnosis(PGD), noninvasive prenatal testing(NIPT), and noninvasive prenatal diagnosis(NIPD) into the strategy. Auditory and genetic diagnosis of the proband child was carried out to identify the disease causative mutations. The couple then received in-vitro-fertilization treatment, and eight embryos were obtained for day 5 biopsy. PGD was performed by short-tandem-repeat linkage analysis and Sanger sequencing of GJB2 gene. Transfer of a GJB2 c.235del C heterozygous embryo resulted in a singleton pregnancy. At the 13 th week of gestation, genomic DNA(g DNA) from the trio family and cell-free DNA(cf DNA) from maternal plasma were obtained for assessment of fetal chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2 mutations. NIPT and NIPD showed the absence of chromosomal aneuploidy and GJB2-associated disease in the fetus, which was later confirmed by invasive procedures and postnatal genetic/auditory diagnosis. 4Bionic optimization research of soil cultivating component design显示文摘The basic biomechanical laws that apply to the clawed toes of animals with powerful digging abilities and the optimal bionic design of curved soil cultivating components with an analogous contour were researched in a novel way. First, the curvature and profile of the inside contour line of a field mouse’s clawed toe were analyzed. The finite element method (FEM) was then used to simulate the working process in order to study the changing characteristics of the working resistance of bionic soil- engag- ing surfaces and the stress field of the processed soil. A straight-line cultivating component was used for comparative analysis. In accordance with the simulation results, a series of soil cultivating com- ponents of varying design were manufactured. An indoor soil bin experiment was carried out to meas- ure their working resistance and validate the results of the FEM analysis. 5Numerical and experimental study of magnetic fluid seal with large sealing gap and multiple magnetic sources显示文摘To improve the pressure capability of magnetic fluid seal with more than a 0.25 mm single edge gap,a magnetic fluid sealing structure with multiple magnetic sources which has five permanent magnets was designed.Magnetic field distributions under the pole pieces of the magnetic fluid seal with single and multiple magnetic sources were simulated by finite element method and its sealing pressure difference could be calculated according to the theoretical formula of the magnetic fluid seal.The effects of sealing gap height and magnetic source amount on the sealing capability were investigated experimentally.The theoretical and experimental results were compared,analyzed and discussed.The results demonstrated that the magnetic fluid seal with multiple magnetic sources was an effective method to improve the sealing capability for the rotary shaft with large gaps.The theoretical results agreed well with the experimental results when the height of the single edge gap was equal to 0.4 mm.However,it was found that when the height of the single edge gap was larger than 0.4 mm,the difference between the theoretical values and experimental values increased with the gap height because part of magnetic source had less or even no effect on magnetic fluid sealing capability.YANG XiaoLong ZHANG ZhiLi LI DeCai 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,11:10
6Physiological effects of weightlessness: countermeasure system development for a long-term Chinese manned spaceflight显示文摘The Chinese space station will be built around 2020. As a national space laboratory, it will offer unique opportunities for studying the physiological effects of weightlessness and the efficacy of the countermeasures against such effects. In this paper, we described the development of countermeasure systems in the Chinese space program. To emphasize the need of the Chinese space program to implement its own program for developing countermeasures, we reviewed the literature on the negative physiological effects of weightlessness, the challenges of completing missions, the development of countermeasure devices, the establishment of countermeasure programs, and the efficacy of the countermeasure techniques in American and Russian manned spaceflights. 7Host metabolism dysregulation and cell tropism identification in human airway and alveolar organoids upon SARS-CoV-2 infection显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is caused by infection with the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2),which is spread primary via respiratory droplets and infects the lungs.Currently widely used cell lines and animals are unable to accurately mimic human physiological conditions because of the abnormal status of cell lines(transformed or cancer cells)and species differences between animals and humans.Organoids are stem cell-derived selforganized three-dimensional culture in vitro and model the physiological conditions of natural organs.Here we showed that SARS-CoV-2 infected and extensively replicated in human embryonic stem cells(hESCs)-derived lung organoids,including airway and alveolar organoids which covered the complete infection and spread route for SARS-CoV-2 within lungs.The infected ceils were ciliated,club,and alveolar type 2(AT2)cells,which were sequentially located from the proximal to the distal airway and terminal alveoli,respectively.Additionally,RNA-seq revealed early cell response to virus infection including an unexpected downregulation of the metabolic processes,especially lipid metabolism,in addition to the well-known upregulation of immune response.Further,Remdesivir and a human neutralizing antibody potently inhibited SARS-CoV-2 replication in lung organoids.Therefore,human lung organoids can serve as a pathophysiological model to investigate the underlying mechanism of SARS-CoV-2 infection and to discover and test therapeutic drugs for COVID-19.Rongjuan Pei Jianqi Feng Yecheng Zhang Hao Sun Lian Li Xuejie Yang Jiangping He Shuqi Xiao Jin Xiong Ying Lin Kun Wen Hongwei Zhou Jiekai Chen Zhili Rong Xinwen Chen 2021Protein & Cell2021,12,9:7
8Self-organizing feature map neural network classification of the ASTER data based on wavelet fusion显示文摘Most methods for classification of remote sensing data are based on the statistical parameter evaluation with the assumption that the samples obey the normal distribution. How-ever, more accurate classification results can be obtained with the neural network method through getting knowledge from environments and adjusting the parameter (or weight) step by step by a specific measurement. This paper focuses on the double-layer structured Kohonen self-organizing feature map (SOFM), for which all neurons within the two layers are linked one another and those of the competition layers are linked as well along the sides. Therefore, the self-adapting learning ability is improved due to the effective competition and suppression in this method. The SOFM has become a hot topic in the research area of remote sensing data classi-fication. The Advanced Spaceborne Thermal Emission and Reflectance Radiometer (ASTER) is a new satellite-borne remote sensing instrument with three 15-m resolution bands and three 30-m resolution bands at the near infrared. The ASTER data of Dagang district, Tianjin Munici-pality is used as the test data in this study. At first, the wavelet fusion is carried out to make the spatial resolutions of the ASTER data identical; then, the SOFM method is applied to classifying the land cover types. The classification results are compared with those of the maximum likeli-hood method (MLH). 11Potential association of long noncoding RNA HA117 with tetralogy of Fallot显示文摘Tetralogy of Fallot(TOF)is a congenital heart disease characterized by abnormal cardiomyocyte differentiation in the right ventricular outflow tract(RVOT),and HA117 is a novel long noncoding RNA(lncRNA)with anti-differentiation roles.To investigate the potential association of HA117 with TOF,we collected 84 RVOT tissues from patients with TOF.We determined the expression of HA117 in RVOT samples from TOF patients and collected clinical data to conduct a cross-sectional and short-term follow-up study.McGoon ratio,Nakata index,and left ventricular end-diastolic volume index(LVEDVI)were negatively correlated with the expression of HA117 based on subgroup analysis,correlation analysis and logistic regression analysis.Additionally,cardiopulmonary bypass(CPB)time and ICU stay were longer in patients with higher expression of HA117 than in patients with lower expression of HA117.Furthermore,percentage improvement in SPO2 was significantly reduced in patients with increased HA117 expression at 6 months after surgery.Our results suggested that the increased expression of the novel lncRNA HA117 is a risk factor for unfavorable McGoon ratio,Nakata index and LVEDVI in TOF patients.Additionally,an increased expression of HA117 might lead to adverse short-term outcomes in TOF patients.Quan Wang Zhili Wang Chun Wu Zhengxia Pan Li Xiang Hang Liu Xin Jin Kerong Tong Shulei Fan Xianqing Jin 2018Genes & Diseases2018,5,2:5

13High Thermoelectric Performance of Cu-Doped PbSe-PbS System Enabled by High-Throughput Experimental Screening显示文摘Recent advances in high-throughput(HTP)computational power and machine learning have led to great achievements in exploration of new thermoelectric materials.However,experimental discovery and optimization of thermoelectric materials have long relied on the traditional Edisonian trial and error approach.Herein,we demonstrate that ultrahigh thermoelectric performance in a Cu-doped PbSe-PbS system can be realized by HTP experimental screening and precise property modulation.Combining the HTP experimental technique with transport model analysis,an optimal Se/S ratio showing high thermoelectric performance has been efficiently screened out.Subsequently,based on the screened Se/S ratio,the doping content of Cu has been subtly adjusted to reach the optimum carrier concentration.As a result,an outstanding peak zT~1:6 is achieved at 873 K for a 1.8 at%Cu-doped PbSe_(0.6)S_(0.4) sample,which is the superior value among the n-type Te-free lead chalcogenides.We anticipate that current work will stimulate large-scale unitization of the HTP experimental technique in the thermoelectric field,which can greatly accelerate the research and development of new high-performance thermoelectric materials.Li You Zhili Li Quanying Ma Shiyang He Qidong Zhang Feng Wang Guoqiang Wu Qingyi Li Pengfei Luo Jiye Zhang Jun Luo 2020Research2020,,1:4
14Synergistic optimization of thermoelectric performance in p-type Ag2Te through Cu substitution显示文摘Superionic conductors,which exhibit liquid-like phonon transport but crystal-like carrier transport,have attracted great attention and broad research interest in the thermoelectric community.Ag_(2)Te is a superionic conductor;however,its small band gap and large Ag vacancy formation energy impede its application as a prominent p-type thermoelectric material.In this work,synergistic optimization of the thermoelectric performance of Ag_(2)Te through Cu substitution is realized through a combination of experimental and theoretical efforts.For the electrical transport,Cu substitution systematically increases the band gap of Ag_(2)Te and reduces the cation vacancy formation energy.These two beneficial effects simultaneously increase the electrical conductivity and suppress the bipolar effect,thereby greatly enhancing the p-type electrical transport properties of Ag_(2)Te.For the thermal transport,alloying Cu_(2)Te with Ag_(2)Te significantly reduces the thermal conductivity through not only point defect scattering but also softening of the interatomic interactions.The latter is attributed to the relatively small Cu atoms vibrating in the oversized 8c sites.This two-fold optimization results in maximum thermoelectric figure of merit zT values of over 1.3 at 773 K for both Ag_(1.2)Cu_(0.8)Te and AgCuTe,demonstrating the great potential of Ag_(2-x)Cu_(x)Te as a promising p-type thermoelectric material system.Ruonan Wu Zhili Li Yongbo Li Li You Pengfei Luo Jiong Yang Jun Luo 2019Journal of Materiomics2019,5,3:4
15Metabolic and Phylogenetic Profile of Bacterial Community in Guishan Coastal Water(Pearl River Estuary), South China Sea显示文摘Characteristics of a microbial community are important as they indicate the status of aquatic ecosystems. In the present study, the metabolic and phylogenetic profile of the bacterioplankton community in Guishan coastal water(Pearl River Estuary), South China Sea, at 12 sites(S1–S12) were explored by community-level physiological profiling(CLPP) with BIOLOG Eco-plate and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE). Our results showed that the core mariculture area(S6, S7 and S8) and the sites associating with human activity and sewage discharge(S11 and S12) had higher microbial metabolic capability and bacterial community diversity than others(S1–5, S9–10). Especially, the diversity index of S11 and S12 calculated from both CLPP and DGGE data(H >3.2) was higher than that of others as sewage discharge may increase water nitrogen and phosphorus nutrient. The bacterial community structure of S6, S8, S11 and S12 was greatly influenced by total phosphorous, salinity and total nitrogen. Based on DGGE fingerprinting, proteobacteria, especially γ- and α-proteobacteria, were found dominant at all sites. In conclusion, the aquaculture area and wharf had high microbial metabolic capability. 16Steganalysis of Low Embedding Rates LSB Speech Based on Histogram Moments in Frequency Domain显示文摘As wavelet packet transform is able to focus on minute change of signals, this study proposes an analytic approach of low embedding steganograpy based on high order Histogram moments in frequency domain(HMFD), which provides a key solution to the feature selection and extraction of HMFD. 18Investigating the stress corrosion cracking of a biodegradable Zn-0.8 wt%Li alloy in simulated body fluid显示文摘Stress corrosion cracking(SCC)may lead to brittle,unexpected failure of medical devices.However,available researches are limited to Mg-based biodegradable metals(BM)and pure Zn.The stress corrosion behaviors of newly-developed Zn alloys remain unclear.In the present work,we conducted slow strain rate testing(SSRT)and constant-load immersion test on a promising Zn-0.8 wt%Li alloy in order to investigate its SCC susceptibility and examine its feasibility as BM with pure Zn as control group.We observed that Zn-0.8 wt%Li alloy exhibited low SCC susceptibility.This was attributed to variations in microstructure and deformation mechanism after alloying with Li.In addition,both pure Zn and Zn-0.8 wt%Li alloy did not fracture over a period of 28 days during constant-load immersion test.The magnitude of applied stress was close to physiological condition and thus,we proved the feasibility of both materials as BM.Guan-Nan Li Su-Ming Zhu Jian-Feng Nie Yufeng Zheng Zhili Sun 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,5:3
19Axial gradient excitation accelerates volumetric imaging of two-photon microscopy显示文摘Two-photon excitation fluorescence microscopy(TPM),owing to its capacity for subcellular resolution,intrinsic optical sectioning,and superior penetration depth in turbid samples,has revolutionized biomedical research.However,its layer-by-layer scanning to form a three-dimensional image inherently limits the volumetric imaging speed and increases phototoxicity significantly.In this study,we develop a gradient excitation technique to accelerate TPM volumetric imaging.The axial positions of the fluorophores can be decoded from the intensity ratio of the paired images obtained by sequentially exciting the specimen with two axially elongated two-photon beams of complementary gradient intensities.We achieved a 0.63μm axial localization precision and demonstrate the flexibility of the gradient TPM on various sparsely labeled samples,including bead phantoms,mouse brain tissues,and live macrophages.Compared with traditional TPM,our technique improves volumetric imaging speed(by at least sixfold),decreases photobleaching(i.e.,less than 2.07±2.89%in 25 min),and minimizes photodamages.Yufeng Gao Xianyuan Xia Lina Liu Ting Wu Tingai Chen Jia Yu Zhili Xu Liang Wang Fei Yan Zhuo Du Jun Chu Yang Zhan Bo Peng Hui Li Wei Zheng 2022Photonics Research2022,10,3:3
20Natural variations in grain length 10(GL10)regulate rice grain size显示文摘Grain size is an important determinant of grain weight and yield in rice.Although several genes related to grain size have been identified,natural variations in these genes that affect grain size are poorly characterized.Here,we describe the grain length QTL GL10,encoding MADS56,which positively regulates grain length and grain weight.A natural allelic variation of NIL-gl10,containing an~1.0-kb deletion in the first exon that abolishes its transcription,results in shorter grain length,lower grain weight and delayed flowering in gl10 plants.The knockout of GL10 in the HJX74 background leads to grain phenotypes similar to that of NIL-gl10,while overexpression of GL10 results in increased grain length and weight and earlier heading date.GL10 regulates grain length by promoting greater longitudinal cell growth in the grain glume.Additionally,GL10 participates in the regulation of gibberellic acid(GA)signaling pathway genes in young panicle tissues.Analysis of GL10 haplotypes shows obvious divergence between the japonica and indica lineages.Our findings reveal an allelic variation of GL10 that may explain differences in grain length among modern cultivars and could be used to breed rice varieties with optimized grain shape.Penglin Zhan Shuaipeng Ma Zhili Xiao Fangping Li Xin Wei Shaojun Lin Xiaoling Wang Zhe Ji Yu Fu Jiahao Pan Mi Zhou Yue Liu Zengyuan Chang Lu Li Suhong Bu Zupei Liu Haitao Zhu Guifu Liu Guiquan Zhang Shaokui Wang 2022Journal of Genetics and Genomics2022,49,5:3
