1Clinical features of seizures after cerebral venous sinus thrombosis and its effect on outcome among Chinese Han population显示文摘background and purpose Clinical features of epileptic seizures after cerebral venous sinus thrombosis(CVST)among Chinese patients are not known,and it is still controversial whether seizures would affect the outcome of CVST.Methods In a Chinese hospital-based study of consecutive patients with CVST between 2003 and 2015,we described the clinical features of seizures and determined the predictors of seizure onset using multivariable logistic regression analysis.We also compared the in-hospital case-fatality and short-term functional outcome(modified Rankin Scale(mRS)at discharge)in patients with versus without seizures using ordinal regression analysis.results Among 151 patients with CVST,52(34.4%)presented seizures,of which 42(80.8%)were generalised seizures.Male gender(OR 6.32,95% CI 2.06 to 19.35,p=0.001),motor deficits(OR 4.89,95% CI 1.52 to 15.68,p=0.008),intracerebral haemorrhage(OR 3.93,95% CI 1.16 to 13.26,p=0.027),cerebral infarction(OR 3.78,95% CI 1.15 to 12.36,p=0.029)and superior sagittal sinus thrombosis(OR 3.38,95% CI 91.16 to 9.86,p=0.026)were independent predictors for seizures.The overall in-hospital case-fatality rate was 2.0%(3/151),and 21(13.9%)had mRS>2 at discharge.Compared with patients without seizures,patients with seizures were more likely to have a worse outcome(p=0.02)at discharge,independent of age,gender,clinical presentation,clot burden and presence of parenchymal lesions.conclusions In Chinese Han patients,compared with patients without seizures,patients with seizures after CVST had a worse outcome.Risk factors such as male gender,paresis,parenchymal lesion and superior sagittal sinus thrombosis were independently associated with seizure onset after CVST.Generalised seizure was the main form of seizures after CVST,which was obviously different to seizures after strokes of arterial origin.Hongyan Ding Yanan Xie Linxin Li Heling Chu Yuping Tang Qiang Dong Mei Cui 2017Stroke & Vascular Neurology2017,2,4:8
2Improvement of center segregation in high-carbon steel billets using soft reduction显示文摘Center segregation is the main reason for cup fracture of high-carbon wire rod during drawing. Therefore, to continuously produce cast billets with very low center segregation is an important objective. The soft reduction technology is considered to be an effective method to minimize center segregation. To elucidate the effect of soft reduction on the internal quality of high-carbon steel billets, soft reduction was applied with different solid fractions in the core area of billets in a laboratory casting machine. A coupled temperature/displacement finite element model was developed to calculate the solid fraction using the commercial software ABAQUS.Center segregation, center porosity, homogeneity of elements, and equiaxed crystal zone were obviously improved by applying soft reduction, especially when the solid fraction was less than 1.0. 3Microbial changes in rhizospheric soils contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons after bioremediation显示文摘Effects of bioremediation on microbial communities in soils contaminated with petroleum hydrocarbons are a scientific problem to be solved. Changes in dominate microbial species and the total amount of microorganisms including bacteria and fungi in rhizospheric soils after bioremediation were thus evaluated using field bioremediation experiments. The results showed that there were changed dominant microorganisms including 11 bacterial strains which are mostly Gram positive bacteria and 6 fungal species which were identified. The total amount of microorganisms including bacteria and fungi increased after bioremediation of microbial agents combined with planting maize. 5Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Mg–3Al–Zn Magnesium Alloy Sheet by Hot Shear Spinning显示文摘Hot shear spinning experiments with Mg–3.0 Al–1.0 Zn–0.5 Mn(AZ31 B, wt%) magnesium alloy sheets were conducted at various temperatures, spindle speeds and feed ratios to investigate the effects of these processing parameters on the microstructure, crystallographic texture and mechanical properties. The AZ31 B sheet displayed good shear formability at temperatures from 473 to 673 K, spindle speeds from 300 to 600 rev/min and feed ratios from 0.1 to 0.5 mm/rev. During the dynamic recrystallization process, the grain size and texture were affected by the deformation temperature of the hot shear spinning process. Each of the spun sheets presented a strong basal texture, and the c-axis of most of the grains was parallel to the normal direction. The optimal hot shear spinning parameters were determined to be a temperature of 473 K, a spindle speed of 300 rev/min and a feed ratio of 0.1 mm/rev. The yield strength, ultimate tensile strength and elongation in the rolled direction reached 221 MPa, 288 MPa and 14.1%, and those in the transverse direction reached 205 MPa, 280 MPa and 12.4%, respectively. 6Simulation research on monomer agglomeration of nonmetallic inclusions in steel with a diffusion limited aggregation model显示文摘The monomer agglomeration of nonmetallic inclusions was simulated with a diffusion limited aggregation (DLA) model of thefractal theory. The simulation study with a random two-dimensional diffusion was carried out. The results indicate that the DLA model canbe used for the simulation of agglomeration behavior of the cluster-type inclusions. The morphology of clusters was observed with SEMand compared with the simulated agglomerates. The modelling procedure of the DLA model is applicable for the agglomeration process.The uncertainty of agglomeration process and the persuasive average agglomerative ratio was analyzed. The factors about the agglomera-tive ratio with the collision path distance and the size of particles or seed were discussed. 7Reliable sensors based on graphene textile with negative resistance variation in three dimensions显示文摘The weft-knitted reduced graphene oxide(r-GO)textile that is made up of many conductive r-GO coated fibers was successfully prepared dependent on the electrospray deposition technique.Interestingly,the r-GO textile presents negative resistance variation not only in axial direction as the pressure increases but also in transverse direction as the lateral stretch increases which makes it has the advantage to fabricate the reliable sensors based on strain-resistance effect.The transverse-strain and pressure sensors based on the r-GO textiles all show the excellent sensing characteristics such as high sensitivity,reliability,and good durability,etc.The maximum gauge factors(GF)of the transverse-sensor are 27.1 and 153.5 in the x-and/-direction,respectively.And the practical detection range can up to 40%in the x-direction and 35%in the y-direction,respectively.The r-GO textile pressure sensor also shows high sensitivity for a broad pressure range that with a GF up to 716.8 kPa-1 for less than 4.5 kPa region and still has more sensitive pressure sensing characteristics even the pressure goes up to 14 kPa.Based on those good performances of r-GO textile sensors,its potential applications in human body states monitoring have been studied.Wenpeng Han Yijun Wu He Gong Linxin Liu Junxiang Yan Mengfei Li Yunze Long Guozhen Shen 2021Nano Research2021,14,8:2
8Porous carbon coupled with an interlaced MoP–MoS2 heterojunction hybrid for efficient hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘The design and development of electrocatalysts composed of non-noble-metal catalysts with both large surface area and high electrical conductivities are crucial for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Here,a xylose-based porous carbon is coupled with a MoS2-Mo P heterojunction(MoS2-Mo P/FPC)hybrid and used as a promising catalyst for HER.The hybrid is prepared by immobilizing petal-like MoS2 nanosheets on porous carbon(MoS2/FPC),followed by controlling the phosphidation in Ar/H2 to form MoS2-Mo P/FPC.Red phosphorus provides the P species that can induce the construction of the heterojunction under the reducing atmosphere,along with the generation of a Mo P phase and the splitting of the MoS2 phase.The as-prepared MoS2-Mo P/FPC catalyst offers a low overpotential of 144 mV at a current density of 10 m A cm^-2 and a small Tafel slope of 41 m V dec^-1 for the HER in acidic media,as well as remarkable stability.Apart from the active nature of the hybrid,its outstanding activity is attributed to the MoS2-Mo P heterojunction,and the good charge/mass-transfer ability of porous carbon.This strategy provides a new method to develop and design low-cost and high-performance catalysts for the HER.Qiusheng Zhou Jianrui Feng Xinwen Peng Linxin Zhong Runcang Sun 2020Journal of Energy Chemistry2020,29,6:2
9miR-7/TGF-β2 axis sustains acidic tumor microenvironment-induced lung cancer metastasis显示文摘Acidosis,regardless of hypoxia involvement,is recognized as a chronic and harsh tumor microenvironment(TME)that educates malignant cells to thrive and metastasize.Although overwhelming evidence supports an acidic environment as a driver or ubiquitous hallmark of cancer progression,the unrevealed core mechanisms underlying the direct effect of acidification on tumorigenesis have hindered the discovery of novel therapeutic targets and clinical therapy.Here,chemical-induced and transgenic mouse models for colon,liver and lung cancer were established,respectively.miR-7 and TGF-β2 expressions were examined in clinical tissues(n=184).RNA-seq,miRNA-seq,proteomics,biosynthesis analyses and functional studies were performed to validate the mechanisms involved in the acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis.Our data show that lung cancer is sensitive to the increased acidification of TME,and acidic TME-induced lung cancer metastasis via inhibition of miR-7-5 p.TGF-β2 is a direct target of miR-7-5 p.The reduced expression of miR-7-5 p subsequently increases the expression of TGF-β2 which enhances the metastatic potential of the lung cancer.Indeed,overexpression of miR-7-5 p reduces the acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Furthermore,the human lung tumor samples also show a reduced miR-7-5 p expression but an elevated level of activated TGF-β2;the expressions of both miR-7-5 p and TGF-β2 are correlated with patients’survival.We are the first to identify the role of the miR-7/TGF-β2 axis in acidic p H-enhanced lung cancer metastasis.Our study not only delineates how acidification directly affects tumorigenesis,but also suggests miR-7 is a novel reliable biomarker for acidic TME and a novel therapeutic target for non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC)treatment.Our study opens an avenue to explore the p H-sensitive subcellular components as novel therapeutic targets for cancer treatment.Tao Su Suchao Huang Yanmin Zhang Yajuan Guo Shuwei Zhang Jiaji Guan Mingjing Meng Linxin Liu Caiyan Wang Dihua Yu Hiu-Yee Kwan Zhiying Huang Qiuju Huang Elaine Lai-Han Leung Ming Hu Ying Wang Zhongqiu Liu Linlin Lu 2022Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2022,12,2:2

11Effect of tumor necrosis factor inhibitors on rheumatoid arthritis-induced peripheral neuropathy A cohort study显示文摘In this historical cohort study,236 patients with primary rheumatoid arthritis were treated with the tumor necrosis factor inhibitors,etanercept or infliximab(n = 80),or by conventional methods(n = 156).Results revealed that 11 patients developed varying types of peripheral neuropathy at 1-2 years post-treatment(mean 16 months).The incidence of peripheral neuropathy in the tumor necrosis factor inhibitors treatment group was 8.8%(7/80),which was significantly higher than the conventional treatment group(2.6%;4/156).The relative risk of developing peripheral neuropathy in the tumor necrosis factor inhibitors treatment group was 3.41(95% confidence interval:1.03-11.31).Comparison of the tumor necrosis factor inhibitors revealed that etanercept and infliximab had no significant difference in terms of inducing peripheral neuropathy.Experimental findings indicate that tumor necrosis factor inhibitors may increase the risk of peripheral neuropathy.Naizhi Wang Yingying Guo Lili Yang Wenyi Fu Yanbing Xu Linxin Hou Shuai Zhao Ning Zhang 2012Neural Regeneration Research2012,7,11:2

18Associations of blood biomarkers with glomerular filtration rate in patients with TIA and stroke: population-based study显示文摘Background and purpose Non-traditional risk factors such as chronic inflammation,oxidative stress and thrombogenic factors are believed to contribute to the excess stroke risk in chronic kidney disease(CKD)by triggering vascular injury and endothelial dysfunction.We aimed to determine how well a panel of biomarkers representative of these factors would correlate with estimated glomerular filtration rate(eGFR)in patients with recent transient ischaemic attack(TIA)or stroke.We also investigated whether eGFR would confound previously reported associations between biomarkers and mortality.Methods We studied a panel of 16 blood biomarkers related to inflammation,thrombosis,atherogenesis and cardiac or neuronal cell damage in TIA or ischaemic stroke in a population-based study(Oxford Vascular Study).Biomarker levels were log-transformed and correlated with eGFR,adjusted for age.Cox proportional hazard models were used for survival analysis.Results Among 1297 patients with TIA or stroke,52.7%(n=684)of patients had CKD(eGFR<60 mL/min/1.73 m^(2)).There was a moderate correlation between log-eGFR and the log-transformed soluble tumour necrosis factor receptor-1(R^(2)=0.21),attenuating with adjustment for age(R^(2)=0.12).There were moderate-to strong correlations with markers of cardiac injury,N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide and heart-type fatty acid binding protein(hFABP,R2=0.14 and 0.34,respectively).The strongest correlation after adjustment for age was between hFABP and eGFR(R^(2)=0.20).Adjusting for eGFR did not impact any biomarker associations with mortality.Conclusions Correlations between biomarkers related to inflammation and thrombosis with renal dysfunction in the setting of cerebrovascular events were generally modest after adjustment for age,suggesting that putative risk factors such as chronic inflammation or coagulopathy are unlikely to be important stroke mechanisms in patients with CKD.Dearbhla M.Kelly Linxin Li Annette I Burgess Deborah L Poole Julia M Duerden Peter M.Rothwell 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,1:1
