2Mechanical properties and corrosion behavior of selective laser melted 316L stainless steel after different heat treatment processes显示文摘Irregular grains, high interfacial stresses and anisotropic properties widely exist in 3D-printed metallic materials, and this paper investigated the effects of heat treatment on the microstructural, mechanical and corrosion properties of 316 L stainless steel fabricated by selective laser melting. Sub-grains and low-angle boundaries exist in the as-received selective laser melted(SLMed) 316 L stainless steel. After heat treatment at 1050℃, the sub-grains and low-angle boundaries changed slightly, and the stress state and strength decreased to some extent due to the decrease of dislocation density. After heat treatment at 1200℃, the grains became uniform, and the dislocation cells vanished, which led to a sharp decline in the hardness and strength. However, the ductility was improved after recrystallization heat treatment.The passive film thickness and corrosion potential of the SLMed 316 L stainless steel decreased after heat treatment, and the pitting potential also decreased due to the accelerated transition from metastable to steady-state pitting;this accelerated transition was caused by the presence of weak passive films at the enlarged pores after heat treatment, especially for an adequate solid solution treatment.Decheng Kong Chaofang Dong Xiaoqing Ni Liang Zhang Jizheng Yao Cheng Man Xuequn Cheng Kui Xiao Xiaogang Li 2019Journal of Materials Science & Technology2019,35,7:23

4Matrix metalloproteinases contribute to kidney fibrosis in chronic kidney diseases显示文摘Matrix metalloproteinases(MMPs) are members of the neutral proteinase family. They were previously thought to be anti-fibrotic because of their ability to degrade and remodel of extracellular matrix. However, recent studies have shown that MMPs are implicated in initiation and progression of kidney fibrosis through tubular cell epithelial–mesenchymal transition(EMT) as well as activation of resident fibroblasts, endothelial-mesenchymal transition(Endo MT) and pericyte-myofibroblast transdifferentiation. Interstitial macrophage infiltration has also been shown to correlate with the severity of kidney fibrosis in various chronic kidney diseases. MMPs secreted by macrophages, especially MMP-9, hasbeen shown by us to be profibrotic by induction of tubular cells EMT. EMT is mainly induced by transforming growth factor-β(TGF-β). However, MMP-9 was found by us and others to be up-regulated by TGF-β1 in kidney tubular epithelial cells and secreted by activated macrophages, resulting in EMT and ultimately kidney fibrosis. Therefore, MMP-9 may serve as a potential therapeutic target to prevent kidney fibrosis in chronic kidney disease. 7Effects of Applied Magnetic Field on Corrosion of Beryllium Copper in NaCl Solution显示文摘The effects of an applied magnetic field on the corrosion process of beryllium copper in NaCl solution have been investigated by electrochemical measurements, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The results showed that a horizontal magnetic field with 0.4 T barely shifted the open circuit potentials (Ecorr) of beryllium copper in NaCl solution with different concentrations. However, the horizontal magnetic field increased the limiting current density of beryllium copper in NaCl solution with low concentration, while decreased the limiting current density of beryllium copper in NaCl solution with high concentration. It was found that magnetic field accelerated the diffusion of CuCl2- away from the electrode surface and delayed the formation of Cu2O. 8Corrosion Products and Formation Mechanism During Initial Stage of Atmospheric Corrosion of Carbon Steel显示文摘The formation and development of corrosion products on carbon steel surface during the initial stage of atmospheric corrosion in a laboratory simulated environment have been studied by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Raman spectroscopy. The results showed that two different shapes of corrosion products, that is, ring and chain, were formed in the initial stage of corrosion. MnS clusters were found in the nuclei of corrosion products at the active local corrosion sites. The ring-shaped products were composed of lepidocrocite (γ-FeOOH) and maghemite (γ-Fe2O3) transformed from lepidocrocite. The chain-type products were goethite (α-FeOOH). 9The Cambrian sedimentary characteristics and their implications for oil and gas exploration in north margin of Middle-Upper Yangtze Plate显示文摘Using data from tens of measured and observed outcrop successions,thin rock slices and sample analyses,we comprehensively studied the Cambrian sedimentary environments and evolutionary characteristics in the north margin of the Middle-Upper Yangtze Plate.During the Cambrian,platform,slope,and deep sea basin environments were developed in the study area.On the platform,both clastic rocks and carbonate rocks were deposited.Clastic rocks mainly occur in the Lower Cambrian,and were deposited in marine shore and shelf environments.Carbonate rocks are dominant in the Middle and Upper Cambrian,and were deposited in the open platform,restricted platform,tidal flat,beach,and reef environments.Carbonate gravity flow deposits were developed on the slope.In the basin,mainly black shales and chert beds were deposited.The Cambrian represents one large transgression-regression cycle,and maximum transgression occurred in the Qiongzhusi Age of the Early Cambrian.Tectonics and sea level fluctuations had important impacts on sedimentary environments.The Chengkou-Fangxian-Xiangfan Fracture controlled the position of the platform,slope and basin,as well as the silica supply for chert deposition in basin.Sea level fluctuations controlled types of sediments and sedimentary facies on the platform.In the study area,there are good reservoir rocks,including dolomites,grainstones,debris flow deposits,sandstones,and conglomerates;there are good source rocks,including black shales,dark micrites,and chert beds;and there are also good reservoir-source rock assemblages.The hydrocarbon potential of the study area is great.YU KuanHong JIN ZhenKui SU Kui DONG XiaoDong ZHANG Wei DU HongYu CHEN Ying ZHANG WeiDan 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,6:9
10Electrochemical corrosion behavior of 300M ultra high strength steel in chloride containing environment显示文摘The electrochemical corrosion behavior of 300M ultra high strength steel in chloride containing environment was investigated by potentiodynamic polarization technique, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The results show that uniform corrosion occurs on 300M steel during the electrochemical measurements because no anodic passivation phenomenon is observed on polarization curves within the measurement range. The tests also show that 300M steel is highly susceptible to chloride containing solution, which is characterized by corrosion current density increasing with the addition of chlorides, and corrosion potential shifting towards positive direction and corrosion resistance decreasing, positively suggesting that chloride ions speed up the corrosion rate of 300M steel. Mean-while corrosion products on the 300M steel surface formed during the salt spray test are too loose and porous to effectively slow down the corrosion rate. 12Area and volume ratios for prediction of visual outcome in idiopathic macular hole显示文摘AIM:To predict the visual outcome in patients undergoing macular hole surgery by two novel three-dimensional morphological parameters on optical coherence tomography(OCT): area ratio factor(ARF) and volume ratio factor(VRF).METHODS: A clinical case series was conducted,including 54 eyes of 54 patients with an idiopathic macular hole(IMH). Each patient had an OCT examination before and after surgery. Morphological parameters of the macular hole,such as minimum diameter,base diameter,and height were measured. Then,the macular hole index(MHI),tractional hole index(THI),and hole form factor(HFF) were calculated. Meanwhile,novel postoperative macular hole(MH) factors,ARF and VRF were calculated by three-dimensional morphology. Bivariate correlations were performed to acquire asymptotic significance values between the steady best corrected visual acuity(BCVA) after surgery and 2D/3D arguments of MH by the Pearson method with two-tailed test. All significant factors were analyzed by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve analysis of SPSS software which were responsible for vision recovery. ROC curves analyses were performed to further discuss the different parameters on the prediction of visual outcome.RESULTS: The mean and standard deviation values of patients' age,symptoms duration,and follow-up time were 64.8±8.9y(range: 28-81),18.6±11.5d(range: 2-60),and 11.4±0.4mo(range: 6-24),respectively. Steady-postBCVA analyzed with bivariate correlations was found to be significantly correlated with base diameter(r=0.521,P<0.001),minimum diameter(r=0.514,P<0.001),MHI(r=-0.531,P<0.001),THI(r=-0.386,P=0.004),HFF(r=-0.508,P<0.001),and ARF(r=-0.532,P<0.001). Other characteristic parameters such as age,duration of surgery,height,diameter hole index,and VRF were not statistically significant with steady-post-BCVA. According to area under the curve(AUC) values,values of ARF,MHI,HFF,minimum diameter,THI,and base diameter are 0.806,0.772,0.750,0.705,0.690,and 0.686,respectively. However,Steady-post-BCVA analysis with bivariate correlations for VRF was no statistical significance. Results of ROC curve analysis indicated that the MHI value,HFF,and ARF was greater than 0.427,1.027 and 1.558 respectively which could correlate with better visual acuity.CONCLUSION: Compared with MHI and HFF,ARF could effectively express three-dimensional characteristics of macular hole and achieve better sensitivity and specificity. 13Corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys in Na_2SO_4 solution using the scanning electrochemical microscopy technique显示文摘The corrosion behavior of aluminum alloys 1060 and 2A12 in a 10 mM Na2SO4+5 mM KI solution was investigated by scanning electrochemical microscopy(SECM) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) . The potential topography and corrosion morphology results show that the potential of the sample surface over the same area changes with the increase of immersion time. The corrosion area becomes large,and the potential becomes more negative. The corrosion potential of the 2A12 alloy surface is lower than that of 1060 aluminum,and 2A12 alloy becomes easily corrosive. 14Hydrogen induced cracking of X80 pipeline steel显示文摘The hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC) behavior of X80 pipeline steel was studied by means of electrochemical charging, hydrogen permeation tests, tension test, and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The experimental results indicate that the increase of charging time and charging current density or the decrease of the solution pH value leads to an increase of the hydrogen content in X80 steel, which plays a key role in the initiation and propagation of HIC. It is found that the majority of macro-inclusions within the as-used X80 steel do not constitute a direct threat to HIC except aluminum oxides, which directly or indirectly lead to HIC. The hydrogen trap density at room temperature is estimated to be pretty high, and this is an essential reason why the steel is sensitive to HIC. After hydrogen charging, the elongation loss rate and area reduction of X80 steel decline obviously, taking a noticeable sign of hydrogen-induced plasticity damages. 15FoxO directly regulates the expression of TOR/S6K and vitellogenin to modulate the fecundity of the brown planthopper显示文摘As a conserved transcription factor,FoxO plays a crucial role in multiple physiological processes in vivo,including stress resistance,longevity,growth and reproduction.Previous studies on FoxO have focused on human,mouse,Drosophila melanogaster and Caenorhabditis elegans,while there are few reports on agricultural pests and little is known about how FoxO modulates insect fecundity.In Asia,the brown planthopper(BPH)Nilaparvata lugens(St?l)is one of the most serious pests in rice production and high fecundity is the basis of the outbreak of BPH.Here,using the genome-wide ChIP-seq of NlFoxO in BPH,we found that NlFoxO binds to the promoters of ribosomal protein S6 kinase(NlS6K)and serine/threonine-protein kinase mTOR(NlTOR)and increases their expression levels.We also found that NlFoxO directly binds to the exon of vitellogenin(NlVg)and has a specific inhibitory effect on its expression.In addition,the number of eggs laid and their hatching rate decreased significantly after injection of NlFoxO double-stranded RNA into BPH adults.Our findings provide direct evidence that FoxO modulates insect fecundity through binding to the promoters of NlS6K,NlTOR and the exon of NlVg and affecting their gene expression in the Vg network.Yi Dong Weiwen Chen Kui Kang Rui Pang Yipei Dong Kai Liu Wenqing Zhang 2021Science China(Life Sciences)2021,64,1:6
16Atmospheric Corrosion of Q235 Carbon Steel and Q450 Weathering Steel in Turpan,China显示文摘Q235carbon steel and Q450 weathering steel were exposed to the hot and dry environment of Turpan,China for three years.The corrosion rates of both steels were calculated and compared.The morphologies of the rust layer products were observed by optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy.Analyses of the rust layers were performed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray powder diffraction,and Raman spectroscopy,and analysis results indicate that the compositions of rust are main iron rich oxide such as FeOOH,Fe_3O_4,and Fe_2O_3.The iron oxide layer content proportion was calculated through a semi-quantitative algorithm.The resistance elements(Cr,Ni,and Cu)enhanced the resistance properties of the Q450 weathering steel matrix.Moreover,the resistance elements increased the proportion of goethite crystals in the corroded rust layer.Qiang YU Chao-fang DONG Yue-hua FANG Kui XIAO Chun-yun GUO Gang HE Xiao-gang LI 2016Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2016,23,10:6
17Effects of chitosan inhibitor on the electrochemical corrosion behavior of 2205 duplex stainless steel显示文摘The effects of chitosan inhibitor on the corrosion behavior of 2205 duplex stainless steel were studied by electrochemical measurements, immersion tests, and stereology microscopy. The influences of immersion time, temperature, and chitosan concentration on the corrosion inhibition performance of chitosan were investigated. The optimum parameters of water-soluble chitosan on the corrosion inhibition performance of 2205 duplex stainless steel were also determined. The water-soluble chitosan showed excellent corrosion inhibition performance on the 2205 duplex stainless steel. Polarization curves demonstrated that chitosan acted as a mixed-type inhibitor. When the stainless steel specimen was immersed in the 0.2 g/L chitosan solution for 4 h, a dense and uniform adsorption film covered the sample surface and the inhibition efficiency(IE) reached its maximum value. Moreover, temperature was found to strongly influence the corrosion inhibition of chitosan; the inhibition efficiency gradually decreased with increasing temperature. The 2205 duplex stainless steel specimen immersed in 0.4 g/L water-soluble chitosan at 30°C displayed the best corrosion inhibition among the investigated specimens. 18Exposure Effects of Terahertz Waves on Primary Neurons and Neuron-like Cells Under Nonthermal Conditions显示文摘Objective This study aimed to explore the potential effects of terahertz(THz) waves on primary cultured neurons from 4 rat brain regions(hippocampus, cerebral cortex, cerebellum, and brainstem)and 3 kinds of neuron-like cells(MN9 D, PC12, and HT22 cells) under nonthermal conditions.Methods THz waves with an output power of 50(0.16 THz) and 10(0.17 THz) m W with exposure times of 6 and 60 min were used in this study. Analysis of temperature change, neurite growth, cell membrane roughness, micromorphology, neurotransmitters and synaptic-related proteins(SYN and PSD95) was used to evaluate the potential effects.Results Temperature increase caused by the THz wave was negligible. THz waves induced significant neurotransmitter changes in primary hippocampal, cerebellar, and brainstem neurons and in MN9 D and PC12 cells. THz wave downregulated SYN expression in primary hippocampal neurons and downregulated PSD95 expression in primary cortical neurons.Conclusion Different types of cells responded differently after THz wave exposure, and primary hippocampal and cortical neurons and MN9 D cells were relatively sensitive to the THz waves. 19Adsorption and mechanistic study of the invasive plant-derived biochar functionalized with CaAl-LDH for Eu(Ⅲ) in water显示文摘Herein,we developed the invasive plant-derived biochar (IPB) functionalized with CaAl-LDH at five mass ratios using a physical mixture method,assessed their adsorption perform for Eu(Ⅲ),and explored the relative mechanisms.Results show that the IPB successfully loaded CaAl-LDH in five composites and their Eu(Ⅲ) sorption affinities were strongly affected by solution p H,contact time,temperature,and the mass ratio of LDH and IPB.All the sorpiton process for Eu(Ⅲ) occurred on the heterogeneous surface of five composites and the boundary layer diffusion limited the chemical sorption rate.Interestingly,the CaAl-LDH/IPB composite with high ratio of IPB had higher sorption capacity than the one with high ratio of LDH due to larger porosity of the former.Three mechanisms containing ion exchange between Al and Eu ions,surface complexation with carboxyl-and oxygen-containing functional groups,and precipitation were involved in the Eu(Ⅲ) sorption,but the dominant sorption mechanism for each CaAl-LDH/IPB composite differed with different mass ratio of CaAl-LDH and IPB.In composite with more IPB (e.g.,CaAl-LDH/IPB-13),both ion exchange and surface complexes dominated the sorption process and the intensity of Eu^3+ was identified with the one of Eu2O3.Whereas in composites with high LDH,ion exchange dominated the sorption and the intensity of Eu^3+ was obviously higher than the one of Eu_2O_3.This research will provide a new perspective for the application of the LDH/biochar materials.Shengbo Li Lijia Dong Zuofu Wei Guodong Sheng Kui Du Baowei Hu 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,10:5
20The chromosome-based lavender genome provides new in sights into Lamiaceae evolution and terpenoid biosynthesis显示文摘The aromatic shrub Lavandula angustifolia produces various volatile terpenoids that serve as resources for essential oils and function in plant-insect communication.To better understand the genetic basis of the terpenoid diversity in lavender,we present a high-quality reference genome for the Chinese lavender cultivar‘Jingxun 2'using PacBio and Hi-C technologies to anchor the 894.50 Mb genome assembly into 27 pseudochromosomes.In addition to the y triplication event,lavender underwent two rounds of whole-genome duplication(WGD)during the Eocene-Oligocene(29.6 MYA)and Miocene-Pliocene(6.9 MYA)transitions.As a result of tandem duplications and lineage-specific WGDs,gene families related to terpenoid biosynthesis in lavender are substantially expanded compared to those of five other species in Lamiaceae.Many terpenoid biosynthesis transcripts are abundant in glandular trichomes.We further integrated the contents of ecologically functional terpenoids and coexpressed terpenoid biosynthetic genes to construct terpenoid-gene networks.Typical gene clusters,including TPS-TPS,TPS-CYP450,and TPS-BAHD,linked with compounds that primarily function as attractants or repellents,were identified by their similar patterns of change during flower development or in response to methyl jasmonate.Comprehensive analysis of the genetic basis of the production of volatiles in lavender could serve as a foundation for future research into lavender evolution,phytochemistry,and ecology.Jingrui Li Yiming Wang Yanmei Dong Wenying Zhang Di Wang Hongtong Bai Kui Li Hui Li Lei Shi 2021Horticulture Research2021,8,1:5
