| 1 | Composition engineering to obtain efficient hybrid perovskite light-emitting diodes显示文摘Metal halide perovskites have received considerable attention in the field of electroluminescence,and the external quantum efficiency of perovsk'c lightemitting diodes has exceeded 20%.CH3NH3PbBr3 has been intensely investigated as an emitting layer in perovskite light-emitting diodes.However,perovskite films comprising CH3NH3PbBr3 often exhibit low surface coverage and poor crystallinity,leading to high current leakage,severe nonradiative recombination,and limited device performance.Herein,we demonstrate a rationale for composition engineering to obtain high-quality perovskite films.We first reduce pinholes by adding excess CH3NH3B1 to the actual CH3NH3PbBr3 films,and we then add CsBr to improve the crystalline quality and to passivate nonradiative defects.As a result,the(CH3NH3)1-xCSxPbBx based perovskite light-emitting diodes exhibit significantly improved external quantum and power efficiencies of 6.97%and 25.181m/W,respectively,representing an improvement in performance dozens of times greater than that of pristine CH3NH3PbBr3-based perovskite light-emitting diodes.Our study demonstrates that composition engineering is an effective strategy for enhancing the device performance of perovskite light-emitting diodes. | Chuanzhong YAN Kebin LIN Jianxun LU Zhanhua WEI | 2020 | Frontiers of Optoelectronics2020,13,3: | 3 |
| 2 | An actively ultrafast tunable giant slow-light effect in ultrathin nonlinear metasurfaces显示文摘A slow-light effect based on metamaterial-induced transparency(MIT)possesses great practical applications for integrated photonic devices.However,to date,only very weak slow-light effects have been obtained in metamaterials because of the intrinsic loss of metal.Moreover,no active control of slow-light has been achieved in metamaterials.Here,we report the realization of a giant slow-light effect on an ultrathin metasurface that consists of periodic arrays of gold nanoprism dimers with a thickness of 40 nm sandwiched between a multilayer-graphene micro-sheet/zinc oxide nanoparticle layer and a monolayer graphene/polycrystalline indium tin oxide layer.The strong field confinement of the plasmonic modes associated with the MIT ensures a tremendous reduction in the group velocity around the transparency window.A group index of more than 4×10^(3) is achieved,which is one order of magnitude greater than that of previous reports.A large tunable wavelength range of 120 nm is achieved around the center of the transparency window when the pump light intensity is only 1.5 kW cm^(-2).The response time is as fast as 42.3 ps.These results demonstrate the potential for the realization of various functional integrated photonic devices based on metasurfaces,such as all-optical buffers and all-optical switches. | Cuicui Lu Xiaoyong Hu Kebin Shi Qin Hu Rui Zhu Hong Yang Qihuang Gong | 2015 | Light(Science & Applications)2015,4,1: | 3 |
| 3 | Embodied carbon emissions in China-US trade显示文摘China-US trade holds great significance for the world’s political and economic landscape.Since 2018,the US government has imposed additional tariffs on Chinese exports on the grounds of the US trade deficit with China.However,the transfer of pollutants embodied in trade and the differences in environmental costs between China and the US have not been widely recognized.In this study,we quantify the embodied carbon emissions(the'virtual'emissions associated with trade and consumption)in China-US trade by constructing a carbon dioxide emissions inventory and a multiregional input-output model.The study shows that the US benefits from a trade surplus of environmental costs by importing energy-intensive and pollutionintensive products from China,which increases China’s environmental pollution and abatement costs.In 2017,288 Mt CO2 emissions were associated with products produced in China but finally consumed in the US,and only 46 Mt CO2 were associated with the US products that were consumed in China.From this perspective,China-US trade results in a net transfer of 242 Mt CO2 per year from the US to China,accounting for approximately 5%of the total CO2 emissions in the US.More importantly,for Chinese products exported to the US,the carbon emissions embodied in one unit of economic value amount to 0.92 kg/$(RMB:USD=6.8:1),but for US products exported to China,the carbon emissions embodied in one unit of economic value amount to 0.53 kg/$,which means China will incur environmental costs that are 74%higher than those of the US while enjoying the same economic benefits.This environmental trade deficit has burdened China with higher environmental costs than economic benefits.To address this environmental trade deficit,China should actively promote further industrial upgrading and energy structure adjustment and increase investment in innovation and R&D,thereby increasing the value added per unit of export products and reducing the environmental cost of producing export products. | Zhu LIU Jing MENG Zhu DENG Ping LU Dabo GUAN Qiang ZHANG Kebin HE Peng GONG | 2020 | Science China Earth Sciences2020,63,10: | 2 |

| 7 | Dual-color terahertz spatial light modulator for single-pixel imaging显示文摘Spatial light modulators(SLM),capable of dynamically and spatially manipulating electromagnetic waves,have reshaped modern life in projection display and remote sensing.The progress of SLM will expedite next-generation communication and biomedical imaging in the terahertz(THz)range.However,most current THz SLMs are adapted from optical alternatives that still need improvement in terms of uniformity,speed,and bandwidth.Here,we designed,fabricated,and characterized an 8×8THz SLM based on tunable liquid crystal metamaterial absorbers for THz single-pixel compressive imaging.We demonstrated dual-color compressive sensing(CS)imaging for dispersive objects utilizing the large frequency shift controlled by an external electric field.We developed auto-calibrated compressive sensing(ACS)algorithm to mitigate the impact of the spatially nonuniform THz incident beam and pixel modulation,which significantly improves the fidelity of reconstructed images.Furthermore,the complementary modulation at two absorption frequencies enables Hadamard masks with negative element values to be realized by frequency-switching,thereby halving the imaging time.The demonstrated imaging system paves a new route for THz single-pixel multispectral imaging with high reliability and low cost. | Weili Li Xuemei Hu Jingbo Wu Kebin Fan Benwen Chen Caihong Zhang Wei Hu Xun Cao Biaobing Jin Yanqing Lu Jian Chen Peiheng Wu | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,7: | 0 |
