| 1 | Allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell immunotherapy exhibits promising clinical safety and prolongs the survival of patients with late-stage lung or liver cancer显示文摘Vγ9Vδ2 T cells are promising candidates for cellular tumor immunotherapy.Due to their HLA-independent mode of action,allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T cells can be considered for clinical application.To apply allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T cells in adoptive immunotherapy,the methodology used to obtain adequate cell numbers with optimal effector function in vitro needs to be optimized,and clinical safety and efficacy also need to be proven.Therefore,we developed a novel formula to improve the expansion of peripheralγδT cells from healthy donors.Then,we used a humanized mouse model to validate the therapeutic efficacy of expandedγδT cells in vivo;furthermore,the expandedγδT cells were adoptively transferred into late-stage liver and lung cancer patients.We found that the expanded cells possessed significantly improved immune effector functions,including proliferation,differentiation,and cancer cell killing,both in vitro and in the humanized mouse model.Furthermore,a phase I clinical trial in 132 late-stage cancer patients with a total of 414 cell infusions unequivocally validated the clinical safety of allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T cells.Among these 132 patients,8 liver cancer patients and 10 lung cancer patients who received≥5 cell infusions showed greatly prolonged survival,which preliminarily verified the efficacy of allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell therapy.Our clinical studies underscore the safety and efficacy of allogeneic Vγ9Vδ2 T-cell immunotherapy,which will inspire further clinical investigations and eventually benefit cancer patients. | Yan Xu Zheng Xiang Mohammed Alnaggar Léonce Kouakanou Jiawei Li Junyi He Jiashuang Yang Yi Hu Yan Chen Li Lin Jianlei Hao Jingxia Li Jibing Chen Man Li Qingling Wu Christian Peters Qinghua Zhou Jianshuang Li Yingqing Liang Xiaohua Wang Baohui Han Meili Ma Dieter Kabelitz Kecheng Xu Wenwei Tu Yangzhe Wu Zhinan Yin | 2021 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2021,18,2: | 8 |

| 4 | Rapid velocity reduction and drift potential assessment of off-nozzle pesticide droplets显示文摘The droplet velocity and diameter significantly affect both the spatial drift loss and the interfacial deposition behaviors, thus determining the ultimate utilization efficiency during pesticide spraying.Investigating the spatial velocity and diameter evolutions can reveal the mechanism of drift loss and guide to design regulation strategy. Here, we explored the spatial velocity distribution of droplets after leaving the nozzle by particle image velocimetry technology and particle tracking model, considering that the effect of nozzle configuration and the air velocity. It shows that all droplets decelerate rapidly with the velocity attenuation ratio ranging from 50% to 80% within the region of 200 mm below the nozzle.The spatial velocity evolution differences between droplets in crossflow are determined by the competition of vertical drag force and net gravity, and the drag force sharply increases as the droplet diameter decreases, especially for that smaller than 150 μm. Based on the spatial evolution differences of the droplet velocity and diameter, a functional adjuvant was added to the liquid for improving the diameter distribution. | 5 | Integrated transcriptome and metabolite profiling highlights the role of benzoxazinoids in wheat resistance against Fusarium crown rot显示文摘Fusarium crown rot(FCR), caused by Fusarium spp., is a chronic and severe plant disease worldwide. In the last years, the incidence and severity of FCR in China has increased to the point that it is now considered a threat to local wheat crops. In this study, for the first time, the metabolites and transcripts responsive to FCR infection in the partial resistant wheat cultivar 04 Zhong 36(04 z36) and susceptible cultivar Xinmai 26(XM) were investigated and compared at 20 and 25 days post inoculation(dpi). A total of 443 metabolites were detected, of which 102 were significantly changed because of pathogen colonization.Most of these 102 metabolites belonged to the flavonoid, phenolic acid, amino acid and derivative classes.Some metabolites, such as proline betaine, lauric acid, ribitol, and arabitol, were stably induced by Fusarium pseudograminearum(Fp) infection at two time points and may have important roles in FCR resistance. In line with the reduced seedling height of 04 z36 and XM plants, RNA-seq analysis revealed that FCR infection significantly affected the photosynthesis activities in two cultivars. Furthermore, 15 jasmonate ZIM-domain genes(JAZ) in the significantly enriched ‘regulation of jasmonic acid mediated signaling pathway’ in 04 z36 were down-regulated. The down-regulation of these JAZ genes in 04 z36 may cause a strong activation of the jasmonate signaling pathway. Based on combined data from gene expression and metabolite profiles, two metabolites, benzoxazolin-2-one(BOA) and 6-methoxy-benzoxazolin-2-one(MBOA), involved in the benzoxazinoid-biosynthesis pathway, were tested for their effects on FCR resistance. Both BOA and MBOA significantly reduced fungal growth in vitro and in vivo, and, thus, a higher content of BOA and MBOA in 04 z36 may contribute to FCR resistance. | 15 | Measurements of the effective mass transfer areas for the gas–liquid rotating packed bed显示文摘Rotating packed bed(RPB) is one of the most effective gas–liquid mass transfer enhancement reactors, its effective specific mass transfer area(ae) is critical to understand the mass transfer process. By using the NaOH–CO_(2) chemical absorption method, the aevalues of three RPB reactors with different rotor sizes were measured under different operation conditions. The results showed that the high gravity factor and liquid flow rate were major affecting factors, while the gas flow rate exhibited minor influence.The radius of packing is the dominant equipment factor to affect aevalue. The results indicated that the contact area depends on the dispersion of the liquid phase, thus the centrifugal force of rotating packed bed greatly influenced the aevalue. Moreover, the measured ae/ap(effective specific mass transfer area/specific surface area of packing) values were fitted with dimensionless correlation formulas. | 16 | Biomechanical properties of ready-to-harvest rapeseed plants:Measurement and analysis显示文摘A large loss occurs in the combine harvesting of rapeseeds due to the fragility of rapeseed pods,and all the more so with the vibration of the combine header and the collision between the header and plants.Seed loss is greatly affected by the biomechanical properties of ready-to-harvest rapeseed plants.To understand the mechanism of pod cracking and seed loss and to propose measures for alleviating them,it is needed to study the biomechanical properties of ready-to-harvest rapeseed plants.To this end,“Huayouza 62”,a widely planted rapeseed variety in central China,was selected to study the biomechanical properties,including pod-cracking resistance,main stem-shearing resistance and resonant frequencies,of whole plants.The results showed that the distribution of pod-cracking resistance forces was 1.333–6.100 N in the mature stage,and the pod width and thickness had a significant influence on the cracking resistance.The main influencing factor of the main stem-shearing resistance was the stem diameter.A thicker main stem resulted in a larger shearing resistance force but a smaller shear stress.The moisture contents of the main stems varied from 47.71%to 76.13%.However,the varying moisture contents did not show a significant impact on the shearing resistance.The resonant frequencies of whole rapeseed plants ready for harvest ranged from 6.5 Hz to 7.5 Hz,which was close to the excitation frequency of the cutter bar on the 4LL-1.5Y harvester.This study lays a foundation for improving the design and construction of harvesting devices for rapeseed plants to reduce seed loss. | Guangchao Zhan Wangyuan Zong Lina Ma Junyi Wei Wei Liu | 2023 | Information Processing in Agriculture2023,10,3: | 0 |

| 20 | High-Superelasticity NiTi Shape Memory Alloy by Directed Energy Deposition-Arc and Solution Heat Treatment显示文摘Directed energy deposition-arc(DED-Arc)technology has the advantages of simple equipment,low manufacturing cost and high deposition rate,while the use of DED-Arc has problems of microstructure inhomogeneity,position dependence of macroscopic mechanical properties and anisotropy.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out a subsequent heat treatment to improve its microstructure uniformity,mechanical properties and superelasticity.In this investigation,the DED-Arc 15-layer NiTi alloy thin-walled parts with the solution treatment at different process parameters were studied to analyze the effects of solution heat treatment on microstructure,phase composition,phase transformation,microhardness,tensile and superelasticity.The temperature range of solution treatment is 800-1050℃,and the treatment time range is 1-5.5 h.The results show that after solution treatment at 800℃/1 h,the content of precipitated phase decreases,the grain is refined,the microhardness increases,and the mechanical properties in the 0°direction are improved.The strain recovery rate after 10 tensile cycles has increased from 37.13%(as-built)to 49.25%(solid solution treatment).This research provides an effective post treatment method for high-performance DED-Arc NiTi shape memory alloys. | Junyi Ma Lin Yu Qing Yang Jie Liu Lei Yang | 2024 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2024,37,1: | 0 |
