1Rab20 is critical for bacterial lipoprotein tolerization-enhanced bactericidal activity in macrophages during bacterial infection显示文摘Bacterial cell wall component-induced tolerance represents an important protective mechanism during microbial infection.Tolerance induced by the TLR2 agonist bacterial lipoprotein(BLP)has been shown to attenuate the inflammatory response,and simultaneously to augment antimicrobial function,thereby conferring its protection against microbial sepsis.However,the underlying mechanism by which BLP tolerance augments bactericidal activity has not been fully elucidated.Here,we reported that the induction of BLP tolerance in murine macrophages upregulated the expression of Rab20,a membrane trafficking regulator,at both the mRNA and protein levels upon bacterial infection.The knockdown of Rab20 with Rab20 specific siRNA(siRab20)did not affect the phagocytosis of Escherichia coli(E.coli),but substantially impaired the intracellular killing of the ingested E.coli in BLP-tolerized macrophages.Furthermore,Rab20 was associated with GFP-E.coli containing phagosomes,and BLP tolerization resulted in the enhanced maturation of GFP-E.coli-containing phagosomes associated with Rab20 and strong lysosomal acidification.The knockdown of Rab20 substantially diminished lysosome acidification and disturbed the fusion of GFP-E.coli containing phagosomes with lysosomes in BLP-tolerized macrophages.These results demonstrate that Rab20 plays a critical role in BLP tolerization-induced augmentation of bactericidal activity via promoting phagosome maturation and the fusion of bacteria containing phagosomes with lysosomes.Shuqi Zhao Dalin Xi Junwei Cai Wenting Chen Jing Xiang Na Peng Juan Wang Yong Jiang Zhuzhong Mei Jinghua Liu 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,3:2

41-Pbps orbital angular momentum fibre-optic transmission显示文摘Space-division multiplexing(SDM),as a main candidate for future ultra-high capacity fibre-optic communications,needs to address limitations to its scalability imposed by computation-intensive multi-input multi-output(MIMO)digital signal processing(DSP)required to eliminate the crosstalk caused by optical coupling between multiplexed spatial channels.By exploiting the unique propagation characteristics of orbital angular momentum(OAM)modes in ring core fibres(RCFs),a system that combines SDM and C+L band dense wavelength-division multiplexing(DWDM)in a 34 km 7-core RCF is demonstrated to transport a total of 24960 channels with a raw(net)capacity of 1.223(1.02)Peta-bit s−1(Pbps)and a spectral efficiency of 156.8(130.7)bit s−1 Hz−1.Remarkably for such a high channel count,the system only uses fixed-size 4×4 MIMO DSP modules with no more than 25 time-domain taps.Such ultra-low MIMO complexity is enabled by the simultaneous weak coupling among fibre cores and amongst non-degenerate OAM mode groups within each core that have a fixed number of 4 modes.These results take the capacity of OAM-based fibre-optic communications links over the 1 Pbps milestone for the first time.They also simultaneously represent the lowest MIMO complexity and the 2nd smallest fibre cladding diameter amongst reported few-mode multicore-fibre(FM-MCF)SDM systems of>1 Pbps capacity.We believe these results represent a major step forward in SDM transmission,as they manifest the significant potentials for further up-scaling the capacity per optical fibre whilst keeping MIMO processing to an ultra-low complexity level and in a modularly expandable fashion.Junyi Liu Jingxing Zhang Jie Liu Zhenrui Lin Zhenhua Li Zhongzheng Lin Junwei Zhang Cong Huang Shuqi Mo Lei Shen Shuqing Lin Yujie Chen Ran Gao Lei Zhang Xiaobo Lan Xinlun Cai Zhaohui Li Siyuan Yu 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,8:1
5Interlayer gap widened TiS_(2) for highly efficient sodium-ion storage显示文摘As an alternative for lithium-ion batteries(LIBs),sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)have lately received tremendous interest due to their abundant reserves as well as low cost.Nevertheless,the lack of suitable anode materials severely hinders the application of sodium-ion batteries.TiS_(2)is elected as a representative material owing to its unique layered structure.But it always suffers from capacity fade due to poor electrochemical kinetics and structural stability.In this work,we fabricate a pre-potassiated TiS_(2)as a host material for sodium storage by an electrochemical pre-potassiation strategy.The intercalation/extraction mechanism,structural changes and reaction kinetics are completely investigated to reveal the outstanding electrochemical property of pre-potassiated TiS_(2)electrode.It turns out that the large interlayer space of pre-potassiated TiS_(2)is conducive to the diffusion of sodium ions,inducing the reduction of entropic barrier for the electrochemical reactions.In addition,the pre-potassiated host structure is still firmly maintained upon repeated cycles.Therefore,the pre-potassiated TiS_(2)presents superior rate capability(165.9 mA h g^(−1) at 1 C and 132.1 mA h g^(−1) at 20 C)and long-term cycling stability(85.3%capacity retention at 5 C after 500 cycles)for SIBs.This research provides an avenue to construct long-life sodium energy storage systems based on pre-potassiated TiS_(2).Chengcheng Huang Yiwen Liu Runtian Zheng Zhengwei Yang Zhonghao Miao Junwei Zhang Xinhao Cai Haoxiang Yu Liyuan Zhang Jie Shu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,12:1
6High-Order Discontinuous Galerkin Solution of Compressible Flows with a Hybrid Lattice Boltzmann Flux显示文摘A discontinuous Galerkin(DG)-based lattice Boltzmann method is employed to solve the Euler and Navier-Stokes equations.Instead of adopting the widely used local Lax-Friedrichs flux and Roe Flux etc.,a hybrid lattice Boltzmann flux solver(LBFS)is employed to evaluate the inviscid flux across the cell interfaces.The main advantage of the hybrid LBFS is its flexibility for capturing both strong shocks and thin boundary layers through introducing a function which varies from zero to one to control the artificial viscosity.Numerical results indicate that the hybrid lattice Boltzmann flux solver behaves very well combining with the high-order DG method when simulating both inviscid and viscous flows.Sun Yongcheng Cai Junwei Qin Wanglong 2018Transactions of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics2018,35,3:0

9Study on Low-Temperature Traction Behavior of a Space Lubricating Oil No.4116显示文摘The traction behavior of space lubricating oil No. 4116 was measured and analyzed at various oil inlet temperatures below 0 ℃ and various rolling speeds under normal loads by a test rig simulating the operating conditions of space bearings. A traction coefficient calculation model was presented. The rheological property and rheological parameters of the lubricant at a low oil inlet temperature were analyzed based on the Tevaarwerk-Johnson model. The results showed that the lubricating oil No. 4116 was sensitive to the rolling speed and had lower sensitivity to the normal load. This lubricating oil is more suitable for applications under high speed when it is used below 0 ℃. It behaves as an elastic-plastic fluid operating below 0 ℃. 10Unconventional ferroelectricity in half-filling states of antiparallel stacking of twisted WSe_(2)显示文摘We report on emergence of an abnormal electronic polarization in twisted double bilayer WSe_(2) in antiparallel interface stacking geometry,where local centrosymmetry of atomic registries at the twist interface does not favor the spontaneous electronic polarizations as recently observed in the parallel interface stacking geometry.The unconventional ferroelectric behaviors probed by electronic transport measurement occur at half filling insulating states at 1.5 K and gradually disappear at about 40 K.Single band Hubbard model based on the triangular moirélattice and the interlayer charge transfer controlled by insulating phase transition are proposed to interpret the formation of electronic polarization states near half filling in twisted WSe_(2) devices.Our work highlights the prominent role of many-body electronic interaction in fostering novel quantum states in moiré-structured systems.Liheng An Zishu Zhou Xuemeng Feng Meizhen Huang Xiangbin Cai Yong Chen Pei Zhao Xi Dai Jingdi Zhang Wang Yao Junwei Liu Ning Wang 2023National Science Open2023,2,1:0
