| 1 | Apatite Fission Track Evidence of Uplift Cooling in the Qiangtang Basin and Constraints on the Tibetan Plateau Uplift显示文摘The Qiangtang basin is located in the central Tibetan Plateau. This basin has an important structural position,and further study of its tectonic and thermal histories has great significance for understanding the evolution of the Tibetan Plateau and the hydrocarbon potential of marine carbonates in the basin. This study focuses on low temperature thermochronology and in particular conducted apatite fission track analysis. Under constraints provided by the geological background,the thermal history in different tectonic units is characterized by the degree of annealing of samples,and the timing of major(uplift-erosion related) cooling episodes is inferred. The cooling history in the Qiangtang basin can be divided into two distinct episodes. The first stage is mainly from the late Early Cretaceous to the Late Cretaceous(69.8 Ma to 108.7 Ma),while the second is mainly from the MiddleLate Eocene to the late Miocene(10.3 Ma to 44.4 Ma). The first cooling episode records the uplift of strata in the central Qiangtang basin caused by continued convergent extrusion after the BangongNujiang ocean closed. The second episode can be further divided into three periods,which are respectively 10.3 Ma,22.6–26.1 Ma and 30.8–44.4 Ma. The late Oligocene-early Miocene(22.6–26.1 Ma) is the main cooling period. The distribution and times of the earlier uplift-related cooling show that the effect of extrusion after the collision between Eurasian plate and India plate obviously influenced the Qiangtang basin at 44.4 Ma. The Qiangtang basin underwent compression and started to be uplifted from the middle-late Eocene to the early Oligocene(45.0–30.8 Ma). Subsequently,a large-scale and intensive uplift process occurred during the late Oligocene to early Miocene(26.1–22.6 Ma) and the basin continued to undergo compression and uplift up to the late Miocene(10.3 Ma). Thus,uplift-erosion in the Qiangtang basin was intensive from 44.5 Ma to about 10 Ma. The timing of cooling in the second episode shows that the uplift of the Qiangtang basin was caused by the strong compression after the collision of the Indian plate and Eurasian plate. On the whole,the new apatite fission-track data from the Qiangtang basin show that the Tibetan Plateau started to extrude and uplift during 45–30.8 Ma. | 2 | Thermal conductivity of natural rubber nanocomposites with hybrid fillers显示文摘Natural rubber nanocomposites filled with hybrid fillers of multi-walled carbon nanotubes(CNTs) and carbon black(CB) were prepared. CNTs were ultrasonically modified in mixture of hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) and distilled water(H2O). The functional groups on the surface of CNTs, changes in nanotube structure and morphology were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR), Raman Spectroscopy, and transmission electron microscopy(TEM). It shows that hydroxyl(OH·) is successfully introduced. The surface defects of modified CNTs were obviously higher than those of original CNTs, and the degree of agglomeration was greatly reduced. Thermal conductivity of the composites was tested by protection heat flow meter method. Compared with unmodified CNTs/CB filling system, the thermal conductivity of hybrid composites is improved by an average of 5.8% with 1.5 phr(phr is parts per hundred rubber) of hydroxyl CNTs and 40 phr of CB filled. A three-dimensional heat conduction network composed of hydroxyl CNTs and CB, as observed by TEM, contributes to the good properties. Thermal conductivity of the hybrid composites increases as temperature rises. | 3 | Ambulatory blood pressure profile and stroke recurrence显示文摘Objectives To establish a new ambulatory blood pressure(ABP)parameter(24-hour ABP profile)and evaluated its performance on stroke outcome in ischaemic stroke(IS)or transient ischaemic attack(TIA)patients.Methods The prospective cohort consisted of 1996 IS/TIA patients enrolled for ABP monitoring and a 3-month follow-up for stroke recurrence as outcome.Profile groups of systolic blood pressure(SBP)were identified via an advanced functional clustering method,and the associations of the profile groups and conventional ABP parameters with stroke recurrence were examined in a Cox proportional hazards model.Results Three discrete profile groups(n=604,781 and 611 in profiles 1,2 and 3,respectively)in 24-hour ambulatory SBP were identified.Profile 1 resembled most to the normal diurnal blood pressure pattern;profile 2 also dropped at night,but climbed earlier and with higher morning surge;while profile 3 had sustained higher nocturnal SBP without significant nocturnal SBP decline.The incidence of stroke recurrence was 2.9%,3.9%and 5.5%in profiles 1,2 and 3,respectively.After adjustment for covariates,profile 3 was significantly associated with higher risk of stroke recurrence with profile 1 as reference(HR 1.76,95%CI:1.00 to 3.09),while no significant difference was observed between profiles 2 and 1(HR 1.22,95%CI:0.66 to 2.25).None of conventional ABP parameters showed significant associations with the outcome.Conclusions Ambulatory 24-hour SBP profile is associated with short-term stroke recurrence.Profiles of ABP may help improve identification of stroke recurrence by capturing the additive effects of individual ABP parameters. | Jie Xu Fei Jiang Anxin Wang Hui Zhi Yuan Gao Junping Tian Jinglin Mo Zimo Chen An-Ding Xu Benyan Luo Bo Hu Yuqing Zhang Xingquan Zhao Yilong Wang Hao Li Haipeng Shen Yongjun Wang | 2021 | Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3: | 3 |

| 9 | Cascade biocatalysis for production of enantiopure(S)-2-hydroxybutyric acid using recombinant Escherichia coli with a tunable multi-enzyme-coordinate expression system显示文摘Racemize 2-hydroxybutyric acid is usually synthesized by organic methods and needs additional deracemization to obtain optically pure enantiomers for industrial application.Here we present a cascade biocatalysis system in Escherichia coli BL21 which employed L-threonine deaminase(TD),NAD-dependent L-lactate dehydrogenase(LDH)and alcohol dehydrogenase(ADH)for producing optically pure(S)-2-hydroxybutyric acid((S)-2-HBA)from bulk chemical L-threonine.To solve the mismatch in the conversion rate and the consumption rate of intermediate 2-oxobutyric acid(2-OBA)formed in the multi-enzyme catalysis reaction,ribosome binding site regulation strategy was explored to control TD expression levels,achieving an eightfold alteration in the conversion rate of 2-OBA.With the optimized activity ratio of the three enzymes and using ADH for NADH regeneration,the recombinant strain ADH-r53 showed increased production of(S)-2-HBA with the highest titer of 129 g/L and molar yield of 93%within 24 h,which is approximately 1.65 times that of the highest yield reported so far.Moreover,(S)-2-HBA could easily be purified by distillation,making it have great potential for industrial application.Additionally,our results indicated that constructing a tunable multi-enzyme-coordinate expression system in single cell had great significance in biocatalysis of hydroxyl acids. | Lingzhi Tian Junping Zhou Taowei Yang Xian Zhang Meijuan Xu Zhiming Rao | 2021 | Systems Microbiology and Biomanufacturing2021,1,2: | 1 |

| 11 | Mutation in the gene encoding 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate synthase 4 (CitACS4) led to andromonoecy in watermelon显示文摘Although it has been reported previously that ethylene plays a critical role in sex determination in cucurbit species, how the andromonoecy that carries both the male and hermaphroditic flowers is determined in watermelon is still unknown. Here we showed that the watermelon gene 1-aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylate synthase 4(Cit ACS4), expressed specifically in carpel primordia, determines the andromonoecy in watermelon. Among four single nucleotide polymorphism(SNPs) and one InDel identified in the coding region of Cit ACS4, the C364 W mutation located in the conserved box 6 was cosegregated with andromonoecy. Enzymatic analyses showed that the C364 W mutation caused a reduced activity in Cit ACS4. | 19 | Pore structure evolution of mudstone caprock under cyclic load-unload and its influence on breakthrough pressure显示文摘The pore structure of caprock plays an important role in underground gas storage security, as it significantly influences the sealing capacity of caprock. However, the pore structure evolution of caprock with the cyclic stress perturbations triggered by the cyclic gas injection or extraction remains unclear. In this study, the pore structure changes of mudstone caprock under cyclic loading and unloading were obtained by the nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) tests system, then the influence of the changes on the breakthrough pressure of caprock was discussed. The results indicated that the pore structure changes are depending on the stress loading-unloading path and stress level. In the first cyclic, at the loading stage, with the increase of confining stress, the NMR T2 spectrum curve moved to the left, the NMR signal amplitude of the first peak increased, while the amplitude of the second peak decreased gradually. This indicated that the larger pores of mudstone are compressed and transformed into smaller pores, then the number of macropores decreased and the number of micro- and mesopores increased. For a certain loading-unloading cycle, the porosity curve of mudstone in the loading process is not coincide with that in the unloading process, the porosity curve in the loading process was located below that in the unloading process, which indicated that the pore structure change is stress path dependent. With the increase of cycle numbers, the total porosity shown an increasing trend, indicating that the damage of mudstone occurred under the cyclic stress load-unload effects. With the increase of porosity, the breakthrough pressure of mudstone decreased with the increase of the cyclic numbers, which may increase the gas leakage risk.
