Development of a supercritical and an ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed boiler显示文摘The supercritical circulating fluidized bed(CFB)boiler, which combines the advantages of CFB combustion with low cost emission control and supercritical steam cycle with high efficiency of coal energy,is believed to be the future of CFB combustion technology. It is also of greatest importance for low rank coal utilization in China.Different from the supercritical pulverized coal boiler that has been developed more than 50 years, the supercritical CFB boiler is still a new one which requires further investigation.Without any precedentor engineering reference,Chinese researchers have con ducted fundamental research, development, design of the supercritical CFB boilers independently. The design theory and key technology for supercritical CFB boiler were proposed.Key components and novel structures were invented. The first 600 MWe supercritical CFB boiler and its auxiliaries were successfully developed and demonstrated in Baima Power Plant,Shenhua Group as well as the simulator, control technology, installation technology, commissioning technology, system integration and operation technology.Compared with the 460 MWe supercritical CFB in Poland, developed in the same period and the only other supercritical one of commercial running in the word beside Baima, the 600 MWe one in Baima has a better performance.Besides, supercritical CFB boilers of 350 MWe have been developed and widely commercialized in China. In this paper, the updated progress of 660 MWe ultra-supercritical CFB boilers under development is introduced. | Junfu LYU Hairui YANG Wen LING Li NIE Guangxi YUE Ruixin LI Ying CHEN Shilong WANG | 2019 | Frontiers in Energy2019,13,1: | 11
An overview of the development history and technical progress of China's coal-fired power industry显示文摘As the main power source of China, coalfired power industry has achieved a great progress in installed capacity, manufacturing technologies, thermal efficiency, as well as pollutant control during the past century. With the fast development of renewable energies, coal-fired power industry is experiencing a strategic transformation. To specify the development of coal-fired power industry, its development history is reviewed and the technical progresses on aspects of thermal efficiency, pollutants control and peaking shaving capacity are discussed. It is concluded that the role of China's coal-fired power source would be transformed from the dominant position to a base position in power source structure. Considering the sustainable development of coal-fired power industry in energy conservation, emission control, and utilization of renewable energies, it is suggested that the national average thermal efficiency should be improved by continual up-gradation of units by using advanced technologies and eliminating outdated capacity. Moreover, the emission standard of air pollutants should not be stricter any more in coal-fired power industry. Furthermore, the huge amount of combined heat and power (CHP) coal-fired units should be operated in a decoupled way, so as to release more than 350 GW regulation capacity for the grid to accept more renewable energy power. | Weiliang WANG Zheng LI Junfu LYU Hai ZHANG Guangxi YUE Weidou NI | 2019 | Frontiers in Energy2019,13,3: | 6
Biologically inspired silk fibroin grafted polyacrylonitrile filtration membrane prepared in ZnCl_2 aqueous solution显示文摘In this study, biologically inspired silk fibroin grafted polyacrylonitrile(SF-g-PAN) filtration membrane was prepared using ZnCl_2 aqueous solution as solvent, avoiding the use of organic solvents. Phase inversion occurred when Zn^(2+)and Cl-ions gradually diffused into water, creating a well-connected ion channel network and the SF-g-PAN filtration membrane was obtained. The membranes were observed by SEM and 3D ultra-depth microscope. The hydrophilic property, pore size distribution and dye rejection of the membrane were investigated. Results showed that the membrane has no finger hole formation because ZnCl_2 aqueous solution has a lower curing rate parameter compared with organic solvents. SF-gPAN membrane possessed good anti-fouling properties and pH sensitivity. The pore size distribution of the SF-g-PAN membrane was 0.25–1.04 nm. The rejection of direct yellow 27(Mw = 662.6) and amaranth(Mw = 604.5) was 96.51% and 30.63%, with the flux of 72.32 L m^(-2) h^(-1) and 73.83 L m^(-2) h^(-1) respectively at0.1 MPa. The SF-g-PAN membrane has a wide range of applications prospect in fine separation, dye desalination, waste water treatment and biomedical fields. | Jingang Li Shuwen Li Xiaohui Wang Fan Fan Kongyin Zhao Junfu Wei Linhua Zhang Dunwan Zhu | 2019 | Chinese Chemical Letters2019,30,1: | 2
Energy conservation in China's coal-fired power industry by installing advanced units and organized phasing out backward production显示文摘Coal-fired power is the main power source and the biggest contributor to energy conservation in the past several decades in China. It is generally believed that advanced technology should be counted on for energy conservation. However,a review of the decline in the national average net coal consumption rate(NCCR)of China's coal-fired power industry along with its development over the past few decades indicates that the upgradation of the national unit capacity structure(including installing advanced production and phasing out backward production)plays a more important role.A quantitative study on the effect of the unit capacity structure upgradation on the decline in the national average NCCR suggests that phasing out backward production is the leading factor for the decline in the NCCR in the past decade, followed by the new installation, whose sum contributes to approximately 80%of the decline in the national average NCCR.The new installation has an effective affecting period of about 8 years, during which it would gradually decline from a relatively high value.Since the effect of phasing out backward production may remain at a certain degree given a continual action of phasing out backward capacity,it is suggested that the organized action of phasing out backward production should be insisted on. | Weiliang WANG Junfu LYU Zheng LI Hai ZHANG Guangxi YUE Weidou NI | 2019 | Frontiers in Energy2019,13,4: | 1
Eliminating Outdated Capacity to Promote Energy Conservation in China’s Coal-Fired Power Industry显示文摘1. Introduction As China’s main power source, the coal-fired power industry has supplied about 80% of electricity in China over the past several decadesy, while consuming roughly half of the coal generated in China [1]. Given China’s resources endowment [2], it will be difficult to change the dominant status of coal in China’s primary energy structure in the near future [3]. | Weiliang Wang Zheng Li Junfu Lyu Weidou Ni | 2019 | Engineering2019,5,2: | 1

Applications of balanced pairs显示文摘Let(X, Y) be a balanced pair in an abelian category. We first introduce the notion of cotorsion pairs relative to(X, Y), and then give some equivalent characterizations when a relative cotorsion pair is hereditary or perfect. We prove that if the X-resolution dimension of Y(resp. Y-coresolution dimension of X)is finite, then the bounded homotopy category of Y(resp. X) is contained in that of X(resp. Y). As a consequence, we get that the right X-singularity category coincides with the left Y-singularity category if the X-resolution dimension of Y and the Y-coresolution dimension of X are finite. | LI HuanHuan WANG JunFu HUANG ZhaoYong | 2016 | Science China Mathematics2016,59,5: | 1

Air pollutant control and strategy in coal-fired power industry for promotion of China’s emission reduction显示文摘Coal-fired power industry has always been the major power source in China. As coal-fired power industry consumes around a half of China’s coal production, it is always thought to be a big air pollutant emission source. As more and more strict legislations in coal-fired power industry have been issued by the government, the emission performance in coal-fired power industry has been drastically reduced recently.Based on a brief review of the development of emission control in China’s coal-fired power industry, the affecting mechanism among the development of installed capacities of emission control device, pollutant emission, and emission performances in coal-fired power industry is studied. According to a systematic study on the development of emissions of classified categories, the role of coal-fired power industry as a pollutant source is reevaluated. It is found that, coal- fired power industry has contributed the most to China5S emission reduction, and the barycenter of air pollutant emission has been transformed to other high energy consumption industries, like heat, iron/steel, and cement. Then some development strategies are suggested, such as maintaining the current emission standard in coal-fired power industry;expending the coal-fired power emission standards to categories of heat generation and supply, nonmetallic mineral production and ferrous metals smelt-ing and processing;and controlling other heavy metal by consulting the method of Hg control. | Weiliang WANG Bo LI Xuan YAO Junfu LYU Weidou NI | 2019 | Frontiers in Energy2019,13,2: | 1

Effective diffusivity of oxygen in the ash layer of Huadian oil shale semicoke显示文摘Diffusion of oxygen in the ash layer usually dominated the combustion of oil shale semicoke particles due to the high ash content. Thus, effective diffusivity of oxygen in the ash layer was a crucial parameter worthy of careful investigation. In this paper, the effective diffusivity of oxygen in the ash layer of Huadian oil shale semicoke was measured directly using an improved Wicke-Kallenbach diffusion apparatus. The experimental results showed that higher temperature would lead to a higher effective diffusivity and a thicker ash layer had the negative effect.Especially, the effective diffusivity along the direction perpendicular to bedding planes was much lower than that along the direction parallel to bedding planes. In addition,an effective diffusivity model was developed, which could be used to describe the mass transfer of oxygen in the ash layer of oil shale semicoke. | Yiqun HUANG Yiran LI Man ZHANG Boyu DENG Hao KONG Junfeng WANG Junfu LYU Hairui YANG Lingmei WANG | 2021 | Frontiers in Energy2021,15,2: | 0

Performance simulation method and state of health estimation for lithium-ion batteries based on aging-effect coupling model显示文摘Accurate simulation of characteristics performance and state of health(SOH)estimation for lithium-ion batteries are critical for battery management systems(BMS)in electric vehicles.Battery simplified electrochemical model(SEM)can achieve accurate estimation of battery terminal voltage with less computing resources. To ensure the applica-bility of life-cycle usage, degradation physics need to be involved in SEM models. This work conducts deep analysis on battery degradation physics and develops an aging-effect coupling model based on an existing improved single particle(ISP)model.Firstly, three mechanisms of solid electrolyte interface(SEI)film growth throughout life cycle are analyzed, and an SEI film growth model of lithium-ion battery is built coupled with the ISP model. Then,a series of identification conditions for individual cells are designed to non-destructively determine model parameters. Finally, battery aging experiment is designed to validate the battery performance simulation method and SOH estimation method. The validation results under different aging rates indicate that this method can accurately es-timate characteristics performance and SOH for lithium-ion batteries during the whole life cycle. | Deyu Fang Wentao Wu Junfu Li Weizhe Yuan Tao Liu Changsong Dai Zhenbo Wang Ming Zhao | 2023 | Green Energy and Intelligent Transportation2023,2,3: | 0
Adaptive Fitting Capacity Prediction Method for Lithium‑Ion Batteries显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries have become the mainstream power source for electric vehicles because of their excellent performance.However,lithium-ion batteries still experience aging and capacity attenuation during usage. It is therefore critical to accu-rately predict battery remaining capacity for increasing battery safety and prolonging battery life. This paper first adopts the metabolism grey algorithm and a simplified electrochemical model to predict battery capacity under different operating conditions. To improve the prediction performance where the capacity changes nonlinearly,a decoupling analysis of battery capacity loss is then conducted based on the simplified electrochemical model. Finally,an adaptive fitting method is devel-oped for capacity prediction, aiming at improving the prediction accuracy at the inflection point of battery capacity diving. The prediction results indicate that the developed adaptive fitting method can achieve high prediction accuracy under battery capacity attenuation at different discharge stages with errors lower than 2.2%.And the battery capacity decay shows linear variation, and the proposed method effectively forecast the inflection point of battery capacity diving. | Xiao Chu Fangyu Xue Tao Liu Junya Shao Junfu Li | 2022 | Automotive Innovation2022,5,4: | 0
Insight into the dynamic adsorption behavior of graphene oxide multichannel architecture toward contaminants显示文摘Graphene oxide(GO) channels exhibit unique mass transport behaviors due to their flexibility, controllable thinness and extraordinary physicochemical properties, enabling them to be widely used for adsorption and membrane separation. Nevertheless, the adsorption behavior of nanosized contaminants within the channels of GO membrane has not been fully discussed. In this study, we fabricated a GO membrane(PGn, where n represents the deposition cycles of GO) with multi channels via the crosslinking of GO and multibranched poly(ethyleneimine)(PEI). Phenol was used as molecular probe to determine the correlations between dynamic adsorption behavior and structural parameters of the multilevel GO/PEI membrane. PG8 shows higher adsorption capacities and affinity, which is predominantly attributed to the multichannel structure providing a large specific surface for phenol adsorption, enhancing the accessibility of active sites for phenol molecules and the transport of phenol. Density functional theory calculations demonstrate that the adsorption mechanism of phenol within GO channel is energetically oriented by hydrogen bonds, which is dominated by oxygen-containing groups compared to amino groups. Particularly, the interfaces which facilitate strong π-π interaction and hydrogen bonds maybe the most active regions. Moreover, the as-prepared PG8 membrane showed outstanding performance for other contaminants such as methyl orange and Cr(VI). It is anticipated that this study will have implications for design of GO-related environmental materials with enhanced efficiency. | Jian Tian Gen Li Wang He Kok Bing Tan Daohua Sun Junfu Wei Qingbiao Li | 2023 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,53,1: | 0
A branch current estimation and correction method for a parallel connected battery system based on dual BP neural networks显示文摘In the actual use of a parallel battery pack in electric vehicles(EVs),current distribution in each branch will be different due to inconsistence characteristics of each battery cell.If the branch current is approximately calculated by the total current of the battery pack divided by the number of the parallel branches, there will be a large error between the calculated branch current and the real branch current.Adding current sensors to measure each branch current is not practical because of the high cost.Accurate estimation of branch currents can give a safety warning in time when the parallel batteries of EVs are seriously inconsistent. This paper puts forward a method to estimate and correct branch currents based on dual back propagation(BP)neural networks. In the proposed method, one BP neural network is used to estimate branch currents, the other BP neural network is used to reduce the estimation error cause by current pulse excitations.Furthermore, this paper makes discussions on the selection of the best inputs for the dual BP neural networks and the adaptability of the method for different battery capacity and resistence differences. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by multiple dynamic conditions of two cells connected in parallel. | Quanqing Yu Yukun Liu Shengwen Long Xin Jin Junfu Li Weixiang Shen | 2022 | Green Energy and Intelligent Transportation2022,1,2: | 0
Structural Optimization of Fiber-Reinforced Material Based on Moving Morphable Components (MMCs)显示文摘Fiber-reinforced composite materials have excellent specific stiffness, specific strength, and other properties, and have been increasingly widely used in the field of advanced structures. However, the design space dimensions of fiber-reinforced composite materials will expand explosively, bringing challenges to the efficient analysis and optimal design of structures. In this paper, the authors propose an explicit topology optimization method based on the moving morphable components for designing the fiber-reinforced material. We constrain the intersection area between components to guarantee the independence of each component and avoid the situation that one component is cut by other components.Adding the fiber orientation angle as a design variable, the method can optimize the structural layout and the fiber orientation angle concurrently under the given number of fiber layers and layer thickness. We use two classical examples to verify the feasibility and accuracy of the proposed method. The optimized results are in good agreement with the designs obtained by the 99-line code. The authors also popularize the proposed method to engineering structure. The results manifest that the proposed method has great value in engineering application. | Zhi Sun Ziwen Song Junfu Song Haiyan Li | 2022 | Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2022,35,4: | 0
