1Development of a supercritical and an ultra-supercritical circulating fluidized bed boiler显示文摘The supercritical circulating fluidized bed(CFB)boiler,which combines the advantages of CFB combustion with low cost emission control and supercritical steam cycle with high efficiency of coal energy,is believed to be the future of CFB combustion technology.It is also of greatest importance for low rank coal utilization in China.Different from the supercritical pulverized coal boiler that has been developed more than 50 years,the supercritical CFB boiler is still a new one which requires further investigation.Without any precedentor engineering reference,Chinese researchers have con ducted fundamental research,development,design of the supercritical CFB boilers independently.The design theory and key technology for supercritical CFB boiler were proposed.Key components and novel structures were invented.The first 600 MWe supercritical CFB boiler and its auxiliaries were successfully developed and demonstrated in Baima Power Plant,Shenhua Group as well as the simulator,control technology,installation technology,commissioning technology,system integration and operation technology.Compared with the 460 MWe supercritical CFB in Poland,developed in the same period and the only other supercritical one of commercial running in the word beside Baima,the 600 MWe one in Baima has a better performance.Besides,supercritical CFB boilers of 350 MWe have been developed and widely commercialized in China.In this paper,the updated progress of 660 MWe ultra-supercritical CFB boilers under development is introduced.Junfu LYU Hairui YANG Wen LING Li NIE Guangxi YUE Ruixin LI Ying CHEN Shilong WANG 2019Frontiers in Energy2019,13,1:11
2Particle size distribution in CPFD modeling of gas-solid flows in a CFB riser显示文摘A computational particle fluid dynamics(CPFD) numerical method to model gas-solid flows in a circulating fluidized bed(CFB) riser was used to assess the effects of particle size distribution(PSD) on solids distribution and flow.We investigated a binary PSD and a polydisperse PSD case.Our simulations were compared with measured solids concentrations and velocity profiles from experiments,as well as with a published Eulerian-Eulerian simulation.Overall flow patterns were similar for both simulation cases,as confirmed by experimental measurements.However,our fine-mesh CPFD simulations failed to predict a dense bottom region in the riser,as seen in other numerical studies.Above this bottom region,distributions of particle volume fraction and particle vertical velocity were consistent with our experiments,and the simulated average particle diameter decreased as a power function with riser height.Interactions between particles and walls also were successfully modeled,with accurate predictions for the lateral profiles of particle vertical velocity.It was easy to implement PSD into the CPFD numerical model,and it required fewer computational resources compared with other models,especially when particles with a polydisperse PSD were present in the heterogeneous flow.Qinggong Wang Timo Niemi Juho Peltola Sirpa Kallio Hairui Yang Junfu Lu Lubin Weic 2015Particuology2015,13,4:8
3Al_2O_3-TiO_2 composite oxide films on etched aluminum foil fabricated by electrodeposition and anodization显示文摘Ti species have been deposited on low-voltage etched aluminum foils by a simple electrochemical method using a Ti anode as Ti source in a Ti-free I2-dissolved acetone solution. After annealing at 500-600℃ in air, an Al2O3-TiO2 composite oxide film was formed on the surface of the etched aluminum foil by anodizing galvanostatically in an ammonium adipate solution. The effects of I2 concentration in the acetone solution, applied anode voltage, electrolysis time, and annealing temperature on the specific capacitance of the aluminum anode foils were investigated. The TiO2-deposited specimens prepared by applying a po-tential of 50V for 3 min in 2.5m MI2-added acetone solution followed by annealing at 550℃ after anodization exhibited the highest specific capacitance, with an enhancement of 22% compared with pure etched aluminum foil specimens. 4An overview of the development history and technical progress of China's coal-fired power industry显示文摘As the main power source of China, coalfired power industry has achieved a great progress in installed capacity, manufacturing technologies, thermal efficiency, as well as pollutant control during the past century. With the fast development of renewable energies, coal-fired power industry is experiencing a strategic transformation. To specify the development of coal-fired power industry, its development history is reviewed and the technical progresses on aspects of thermal efficiency, pollutants control and peaking shaving capacity are discussed. It is concluded that the role of China's coal-fired power source would be transformed from the dominant position to a base position in power source structure. Considering the sustainable development of coal-fired power industry in energy conservation, emission control, and utilization of renewable energies, it is suggested that the national average thermal efficiency should be improved by continual up-gradation of units by using advanced technologies and eliminating outdated capacity. Moreover, the emission standard of air pollutants should not be stricter any more in coal-fired power industry. 5Biologically inspired silk fibroin grafted polyacrylonitrile filtration membrane prepared in ZnCl_2 aqueous solution显示文摘In this study, biologically inspired silk fibroin grafted polyacrylonitrile(SF-g-PAN) filtration membrane was prepared using ZnCl_2 aqueous solution as solvent, avoiding the use of organic solvents. Phase inversion occurred when Zn^(2+)and Cl-ions gradually diffused into water, creating a well-connected ion channel network and the SF-g-PAN filtration membrane was obtained. The membranes were observed by SEM and 3D ultra-depth microscope. The hydrophilic property, pore size distribution and dye rejection of the membrane were investigated. Results showed that the membrane has no finger hole formation because ZnCl_2 aqueous solution has a lower curing rate parameter compared with organic solvents. SF-gPAN membrane possessed good anti-fouling properties and pH sensitivity. The pore size distribution of the SF-g-PAN membrane was 0.25–1.04 nm. The rejection of direct yellow 27(Mw = 662.6) and amaranth(Mw = 604.5) was 96.51% and 30.63%, with the flux of 72.32 L m^(-2) h^(-1) and 73.83 L m^(-2) h^(-1) respectively at0.1 MPa. 7Energy conservation in China's coal-fired power industry by installing advanced units and organized phasing out backward production显示文摘Coal-fired power is the main power source and the biggest contributor to energy conservation in the past several decades in China.It is generally believed that advanced technology should be counted on for energy conservation.However,a review of the decline in the national average net coal consumption rate(NCCR)of China's coal-fired power industry along with its development over the past few decades indicates that the upgradation of the national unit capacity structure(including installing advanced production and phasing out backward production)plays a more important role.A quantitative study on the effect of the unit capacity structure upgradation on the decline in the national average NCCR suggests that phasing out backward production is the leading factor for the decline in the NCCR in the past decade,followed by the new installation,whose sum contributes to approximately 80%of the decline in the national average NCCR.The new installation has an effective affecting period of about 8 years,during which it would gradually decline from a relatively high value.Since the effect of phasing out backward production may remain at a certain degree given a continual action of phasing out backward capacity,it is suggested that the organized action of phasing out backward production should be insisted on.Weiliang WANG Junfu LYU Zheng LI Hai ZHANG Guangxi YUE Weidou NI 2019Frontiers in Energy2019,13,4:1

16Studies on forest ecosystem physiology: marginal water-use efficiency of a tropical, seasonal, evergreen forest in Thailand显示文摘Marginal water-use efficiency plays a critical role in plant carbon–water coupling relationships.We investigated the ecosystem marginal water-use efficiency(k)of a tropical seasonal evergreen forest to(1)determine the general pattern of k across time,(2)compare different models for calculating k,and(3)address how k varies with soil water content during different seasons.There was a U-shaped diurnal pattern in k,which was higher in the early morning and late afternoon.At other times of the day,k was lower and remained constant.Ecosystem k was higher in the wet season than in the dry season.All three models successfully captured the diurnal and seasonal patterns of k but differed in the calculated absolute values.The idea that k is constant on a subdaily scale was partly supported by our study,while a constant k was only true when data from the early morning and late afternoon were not included.Theλincreases with soil water content on a seasonal scale,possibly because early morningλremained low in dry conditions when the soil water content was low.Mengping Chen Guanze Wang Shuangxi Zhou Junfu Zhao Xiang Zhang Chunsheng He Yongjiang Zhang Liang Song Zhenghong Tan 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,6:1

20A decoupled method to identify affecting mechanism of crosswind on performance of a natural draft dry cooling tower显示文摘The natural draft dry cooling tower(NDDCT)has been increasingly used for cooling in power generation in arid area.As crosswind affects the performance of a NDDCT in a complicated way,and the basic affecting mechanism is unclear,attempts have been made to improve the performance of a NDDCT based on limited experiences.This paper introduces a decoupled method to study the complicated crosswind effects on the inlet and outlet of a NDDCT separately by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)modeling and hot state experiments.Accordingly,the basic affecting mechanism of crosswind on the NDDCT performance is identified.Crosswind changes the inlet flow field of a NDDCT and induces mainstream vortices inside the tower,so as to degrade the ventilation.Besides,low crosswind deflects the upward plume at the outlet to further degrade the ventilation,while high crosswind induces the low pressure area at the outlet to reduce the ventilation degradation.Weiliang WANG Junfu LYU Hai ZHANG Qing LIU Guangxi YUE Weidou NI 2020Frontiers in Energy2020,14,2:1
