| 1 | Osteopontin is a biomarker for early autoimmune uveoretinitis显示文摘Osteopontin(OPN)is an extracellular matrix protein with a diverse range of functions,including roles in cell adhesion,migration,and immunomodulation,which are associated with the modulation of neuroinflammation in the central nervous system.The present study was performed to evaluate the involvement of OPN in the eyes of an experimental autoimmune uveoretinitis(EAU)model.The EAU model was developed by immunization of Lewis rats with interphotoreceptor retinoid-binding protein.The results showed the OPN level was remarkably upregulated in the eye of EAU rats on day 9 post-immunization.The level of CD44,a ligand of OPN,was increased in the ciliary body of EAU rats.Furthermore,OPN was also detected in the ciliary body and activated microglia/macrophages in the EAU retina.The results suggest that OPN was significantly upregulated in the eyes of EAU rats,and that it may be useful as an early biomarker of ocular autoimmune diseases.All animal experiments were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Jeju National University(approval No.2020-0012)on March 11,2020. | Jeongtae Kim Meejung Ahn Yuna Choi Jiyoon Chun Kyungsook Jung Akane Tanaka Hiroshi Matsuda Taekyun Shin | 2022 | Neural Regeneration Research2022，17，7： | 3 |

| 17 | A systematic correlation between morphology of porous carbon cathode and electrolyte in lithium-sulfur battery显示文摘Porous carbon has been applied for lithium-sulfur battery cathodes,and carbonized metal-organic framework(MOF)is advantageous in tuning the morphology.Herein,we have systematically synthesized water-distorted MOF(WDM)derived porous carbon via controlling the proportion of both water in a mixed solvent(dimethylformamide and water)and ligand in MOF-5 precursors(metal and ligand),which is categorized by its morphology(i.e.Cracked stone(closed),Tassel(open)and Intermediate(semi-open)).For example,decrease in water and increase in ligand content induce Cracked stone WDMs which showed the highest specific surface area(2742-2990 m^(2)/g)and pore volume(2.81-3.28 cm^(3)/g)after carbonization.Morphological effect of carbonized WDMs(CWDMs)on battery performance was examined by introducing electrolytes with different sulfur reduction mechanisms(i.e.DOL/DME and ACN_(2) LiTFSITTE):Closed framework effectively confines polysulfide,whereas open framework enhances electrolyte accessibility.The initial capacities of the batteries were in the following order:Cracked stone>Intermediate>Tassel for DOL/DME and Intermediate>Tassel>Cracked stone for ACN_(2) LiTFSI-TTE.To note,Intermediate CWDM exhibited the highest initial capacity and retained capacity after 100 cycles(1398 and 747 mAh/g)in ACN_(2) LiTFSI-TTE electrolyte having advantages from both open and closed frameworks.In sum,we could correlate cathode morphology(openness and pore structure)and electrolyte type(i.e.polysulfide solubility)with lithium-sulfur battery performance. | Jihyeon Park Seoyoung Yoon Seoyeah Oh Jiyoon Kim Dongjun Kim Geonho Kim Jiyeon Lee Myeong Jun Song Ilto Kim Kwonnam Sohn Jiwon Kim | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021，30，10： | 0 |
| 18 | Safety of acupotomy in a real-world setting:A prospective pilot and feasibility study显示文摘Objective:Acupotomy is a modern acupuncture method that includes modern surgical methods.Since acupotomy is relatively more invasive than filiform acupuncture treatment,it is important to establish the safety profile of this practice.To justify further large-scale prospective observational studies,this preliminary study was performed to assess the feasibility of the approach and investigate the safety profile and factors potentially associated with adverse events(AEs).Methods:This was a prospective pilot study that assessed the feasibility of a large-scale forthcoming safety study on acupotomy treatment in a real-world setting.The feasibility(call response rate,dropout rate,response rate for each variable and recruitment per month)and safety profile(incidence,type,severity and causality of AEs,and factors potentially associated with AEs)were measured.Results:A total of 28 participants joined the study from January to May 2018.A follow-up assessment was achieved in 258(1185 treatment points)out of 261 sessions(1214 treatment points).The response rate via telephone on the day after treatment was 87.3%.There were 8 systemic AEs in all the sessions(8/258;3.11%)and 27 local AEs on the total points treated(27/1185;2.28%).Severe AEs did not occur.Total AE and local AE occurrence were associated with blade width and the number of needle stimulations per treatment point.Conclusion:The findings suggest that it could be feasible to analyze the safety of acupotomy in a realworld setting.Moreover,the primary data on some relevant AEs could be determined.We are planning large-scale prospective studies based on these findings.Trial registration:Clinical Research Information Service(CRIS)KCT0002849(http://gffzz7b4a625557964a3esfovfkp0pqccp6pfq.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/cris/search/detailSearch.do/11487). | Sang-Hoon Yoon Chan-Young Kwon Hee-Geun Jo Jae-Uk Sul Hyangsook Lee Jiyoon Won Su Jin Jeong Jun-Hwan Lee Jungtae Leem | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Medicine2022，20，6： | 0 |
| 19 | Meaning in Life and Mental Health Issues in Older Adults:A Meta-Analysis显示文摘This study aims to be the first to use meta-analysis to explore the relationship between meaning in life(MIL)and mental health issues among older adults.A meta-analysis was conducted using six databases,resulting in 16 studies with 5,074 participants in total.The“metacor”and“forestplot”packages in R-Studio were used for data analysis.The total effect was calculated using a random-effects model,with I2=86%in the heterogeneity test.The results showed a moderate negative correlation between MIL and mental health issues among older adults,with an average effect of−0.37.Five potential moderating variables were examined:the conceptualization of MIL(value vs.purpose),region(Asian vs.Western countries),residence status(community vs.nursing home vs.hospital),types of mental health issues,and evaluation methods(clinical vs.non-clinical).The first four had no significant moderating effect.The mean correlation coefficients between mental health issues and value/purpose were−0.49/−0.33;the mean correlation coefficients in Asian countries and Western countries were−0.48 and−0.34;the mean correlation coefficients among participants living in community/nursing home/mixed status were−0.33/−0.40/−0.40;the mean correlation coefficients between MIL and depression/others were−0.37/−0.35;however,the negative relationship between MIL and mental health issues was stronger when non-clinical evaluations(self-report only)were used.Specifically,the mean correlation coefficient for non-clinical evaluations was−0.42 and for clinical evaluations was−0.29.This study is the first meta-analysis to identify the negative correlation between older adults’MIL and mental health issues.Significant moderating effects of evaluation methods were found. | Shu Nie Jiyoon Lim Xintian Xu Lei Zheng Yiqun Gan | 2023 | International Journal of Mental Health Promotion2023，25，9： | 0 |
| 20 | An Enhanced Group Key-Based Security Protocol to Protect 5G SON Against FBS显示文摘Network operators are attempting many innovations and changes in 5G using self-organizing networks(SON).The SON operates on the measurement reports(MR),which are obtained from user equipment(UE)and secured against malware and userspace programs.However,the synchronization signal block that the UE relies on to measure the wireless environment configured by a base station is not authenticated.As a result,the UE will likely gauge the wrong wireless environment configured by a false base station(FBS)and transmit the corresponding MR to the serving base station,which poisons the data used for 5G SONs.Therefore,the serving base stations must verify the authenticity of the MR.The 3GPP has advocated numerous solutions for this issue,including the use of public key certificates,identity-based keys,and group keys.Although the solution leveraging group keys have better efficiency and practicality than the other two,they are vulnerable to security threats caused by key leaks via insiders or malicious UE.In this paper,we analyze these security issues and propose an improved group key protocol that uses a new network function,called a broadcast message authentication network function(BMANF),which validates broadcasted messages on behalf of the UE.The protocol operates in two phases:initial and verification.During the initial phase,the 5G core network distributes a shared secret key to the BMANF and UE,allowing the latter to request an authentication ticket from the former.During the verification phase,the UE requests the BMANF to validate the broadcasted messages received from base stations using the ticket and its corresponding shared key.For evaluation,we formally verified the proposed protocol,which was then compared with alternative methods in terms of computing cost.As a result,the proposed protocol fulfills the security requirements and shows a lower overhead than the alternatives. | Hoonyong Park TaeGuen Kim Daniel Gerbi Duguma Jiyoon Kim Ilsun You dWilly Susilo | 2023 | Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023，45，5： | 0 |
