1Inferior oblique weakening surgery on ocular torsion in congenital superior oblique palsy显示文摘AIM: To investigate changes in fundus excyclotorsion after inferior oblique myectomy or myotomy. METHODS: The records of 21 patients undergoing strabismus surgery by a single surgeon between 2009 and 2012 were examined. Only patients who had undergone an inferior oblique myectomy or myotomy,with or without horizontal rectus muscle surgery, were evaluated. Digital fundus photographs were obtained,and the angle formed by a horizontal line passing through the optic disc center and a reference line connecting the foveola and optic disc center was measured. Associated clinical factors examined include age at the time of surgery, presence or absence of a head tilt, degree of preoperative vertical deviation,torsional angle, inferior oblique muscle overaction/superior oblique muscle underaction, and surgery laterality. Whether the procedure was performed alone or in combination with a horizontal rectus muscle surgery was also examined. RESULTS: Mean preoperative torsional angle was12. 0 ± 6. 4 °, which decreased to 6. 9 ± 5. 7 ° after surgery(P <0.001, paired t-test). Torsional angle also decreased from 15. 1 ± 7. 0 ° to 6. 2 ± 4. 3 ° in the myectomy group(P <0.001, paired t-test) but there were no significant changes in the myotomy group(P =0.093, Wilcoxon signed rank test). Multivariable linear regression analysis showed that preoperative torsional angle, degree ofinferior oblique overaction, and age at surgery independently and significantly affected postoperative torsional angle.CONCLUSION: Mean torsional angle decreased after inferior oblique myectomy. 2Rapid species identification of pathogenic bacteria from a minute quantity exploiting three-dimensional quantitative phase imaging and artificial neural network显示文摘The healthcare industry is in dire need of rapid microbial identification techniques for treating microbial infections.Microbial infections are a major healthcare issue worldwide,as these widespread diseases often develop into deadly symptoms.While studies have shown that an early appropriate antibiotic treatment significantly reduces the mortality of an infection,this effective treatment is difficult to practice.The main obstacle to early appropriate antibiotic treatments is the long turnaround time of the routine microbial identification,which includes time-consuming sample growth.Here,we propose a microscopy-based framework that identifies the pathogen from single to few cells.Our framework obtains and exploits the morphology of the limited sample by incorporating three-dimensional quantitative phase imaging and an artificial neural network.We demonstrate the identification of 19 bacterial species that cause bloodstream infections,achieving an accuracy of 82.5%from an individual bacterial cell or cluster.This performance,comparable to that of the gold standard mass spectroscopy under a sufficient amount of sample,underpins the effectiveness of our framework in clinical applications.Furthermore,our accuracy increases with multiple measurements,reaching 99.9%with seven different measurements of cells or clusters.We believe that our framework can serve as a beneficial advisory tool for clinicians during the initial treatment of infections.Geon Kim Daewoong Ahn Minhee Kang Jinho Park DongHun Ryu YoungJu Jo Jinyeop Song Jea Sung Ryu Gunho Choi Hyun Jung Chung Kyuseok Kim Doo Ryeon Chung In Young Yoo Hee Jae Huh Hyun-seok Min Nam Yong Lee YongKeun Park 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,7:2
3采用ITO纳米粒子喷墨印刷制备透明电极显示文摘本文讨论了喷墨印刷氧化铟锡(ITO)电极在有机太阳能电池(OSCs)中的应用。利用纳米ITO晶体进行喷墨印刷并在450℃时迅速退火,可以直接获得平均透光率为84.14%、方块电阻为202.7Ω/□的ITO电极。由喷墨印刷直接制造的ITO电极制备的有机太阳能电池具有0.57V的开路电压、8.47mA/cm^2的短路电流、44%的填充因子以及2.13%的能量转换率。这表明从有机太阳能电池印刷成本效益来讲,相对于溅射工艺,由于无须光刻工艺且ITO材料的利用率更高,直接利用喷墨印刷制备ITO电极成为一种可行的选择。JEONG Jin-A LEE Jinho KIM Hongdoo KIM Han-Ki NA Seok-In 王晓芳(编译) 2010中国印刷与包装研究2010,2,6:2
4Shape Estimation of Soft Manipulator Using Stretchable Sensor显示文摘The soft robot manipulator is attracting attention in the surgical fields with its intrinsic softness,lightness in its weight,and safety toward the human organ.However,it cannot be used widely because of its difficulty of control.To control a soft robot manipulator accurately,shape sensing is essential.This paper presents a method of estimating the shape of a soft robot manipulator by using a skin-type stretchable sensor composed of a multiwalled carbon nanotube(MWCNT)and silicone(p7670).The sensor can be easily fabricated and applied by simply attaching it to the surface of the soft manipulator.In its fabrication,MWCNT is sprayed on a teflon sheet,and liquid-state silicone is poured on it.After curing,we turn it over and cover it with another silicone layer.The sensor is fabricated with a sandwich structure to decrease the hysteresis of the sensor.After calibration and determining the relationship between the resistance of the sensor and the strain,three sensors are attached at 120°intervals.Using the obtained data,the curvature of the manipulator is calculated,and the entire shape is reconstructed.To validate its accuracy,the estimated shape is compared with the camera data.We experiment with three,six,and nine sensors attached,and the result of the error of shape estimation is compared.As a result,the minimum tip position error is approximately 8.9 mm,which corresponded to 4.45%of the total length of the manipulator when using nine sensors.Jinho So Uikyum Kim Yong Bum Kim Dong-Yeop Seok Sang Yul Yang Kihyeon Kim Jae Hyeong Park Seong Tak Hwang Young Jin Gong Hyouk Ryeol Choi 2021Cyborg and Bionic Systems2021,,1:2

6Characterization of flexible copper laminates fabricated by Cu electro-plating process显示文摘Flexible copper clad laminates(FCCLs) were fabricated using the electro-plating process and the combined effect of the current density and plating time on their surface morphology,texture,hardness,electrical resistivity and folding behavior was evaluated.To achieve Cu layers with similar thicknesses,the current density was varied in the range of 0.2-3 A/dm2 and the plating time was controlled in the range of 0.5-7.5 h to compensate for the variation of the current density.The surface morphology,hardness,and folding behavior were characterized by atomic force microscopy,nanoindentation technique and Massachusett Institute of Technology folding endurance test,respectively.The X-ray diffraction patterns indicated that the Cu phase was formed without any secondary phases;however,the preferred orientation changed from(220) to(111) as the current density increased over 1 A/dm2.In addition,it was observed that the root-mean-square and hardness values decreased when the current density increased and the plating time decreased simultaneously.The electrical resistivity was as low as approximately 21 nΩ·m and the number of cycles without failure in the folding test was over 15 000,which were comparable to those of commercial FCCLs.Chang-Min LEE Jun-Hyung LIM Soo-Min HWANG Eui-Cheol PARK Jong-Hyun SHIM Jin-Hyun PARK Jinho JOO Seung-Boo JUNG 2009中国有色金属学会会刊:英文版2009,19,4:2
7Femtosecond mode-locking of a fiber laser using a CoSb_3-skutterudite-based saturable absorber显示文摘We experimentally demonstrate an ultrafast mode-locker based on a CoSb_3 skutterudite topological insulator for femtosecond mode-locking of a fiber laser. The mode-locker was implemented on a side-polished fiber platform by depositing a CoSb_3∕PVA composite. The measured modulation depth and saturation power for the transverse-electric mode input were ~5% and ~8.7 W, respectively, and ~2.8% and ~10.6 W for the transverse-magnetic mode input. By incorporating this mode-locker into an erbium-doped fiber-based ring cavity, we were able to readily generate mode-locked, soliton pulses having a pulse width of ~833 fs at 1557.9 nm. The 3-dB bandwidth of the output pulses and time-bandwidth product were ~3.44 and 0.353 nm, respectively.
