1Targeting ferroptosis suppresses osteocyte glucolipotoxicity and alleviates diabetic osteoporosis显示文摘Diabetic osteoporosis(DOP) is the leading complication continuously threatening the bone health of patients with diabetes. A key pathogenic factor in DOP is loss of osteocyte viability. However, the mechanism of osteocyte death remains unclear. Here, we identified ferroptosis, which is iron-dependent programmed cell death, as a critical mechanism of osteocyte death in murine models of DOP. The diabetic microenvironment significantly enhanced osteocyte ferroptosis in vitro, as shown by the substantial lipid peroxidation, iron overload, and aberrant activation of the ferroptosis pathway. RNA sequencing showed that heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) expression was notably upregulated in ferroptotic osteocytes. Further findings revealed that HO-1 was essential for osteocyte ferroptosis in DOP and that its promoter activity was controlled by the interaction between the upstream NRF2 and c-JUN transcription factors. Targeting ferroptosis or HO-1 efficiently rescued osteocyte death in DOP by disrupting the vicious cycle between lipid peroxidation and HO-1 activation, eventually ameliorating trabecular deterioration. 3Visible-light-driven heterostructured g-C_(3)N_(4)/Bi-TiO_(2) floating photocatalyst with enhanced charge carrier separation for photocatalytic inactivation of Microcystis aeruginosa显示文摘The increase in occurrence and severity of cyanobacteria blooms is causing increasing concern;moreover,human and animal health is affected by the toxic effects of Microcystin-LR released into the water.In this paper,a floating photocatalyst for the photocatalytic inactivation of the harmful algae Microcystis aeruginosa(M.aeruginosa)was prepared using a simple sol-gel method,i.e.,coating g-C_(3)N_(4) coupled with Bi-doped TiO_(2) on Al_(2)O_(3)-modified expanded perlite(CBTA for short).The impact of different molar ratios of Bi/Ti on CBTA was considered.The results indicated that Bi doping in TiO_(2) inhibited photogenerated electron-hole pair recombination.With 6 h of visible light illumination,75.9%of M.aeruginosa(initial concentration=2.7106 cells/L)and 83.7%of Microcystin-LR(initial concentration=100μg/L)could be removed with the addition of 2 g/L CBTA1%(i.e.,Bi/Ti molar ratio=1%).The key reactive oxygen species(ROSs)in the photocatalytic inactivation process are h+andOH.The induction of the Bi^(4+)/Bi^(3+)species by the incorporation of Bi could narrow the bandgap of TiO_(2),trap electrons,and enhance the stability of CBTA-1%in the solutions with coexisting environmental substances.Jingke Song Chenyang Li Xuejiang Wang Songsong Zhi Xin Wang Jianhui Sun 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,6:5
4Identification of the starting reaction position in the hydrogenation of (N-ethyl)carbazole over Raney-Ni显示文摘Hydrogenation of carbazole and N-ethylcarbazole over Raney-Ni catalyst were realized in the temperature range of 393-503 K. 4[H] adduct dominated the hydrogenation products and the formation of 2[H] adduct was the rate-limiting step during the period, in which the conversion of carbazole was less than 40%. The hydrogenation process followed pseudo-first-order kinetics and the hydrogenation activation energies of carbazole and N-ethylcarbazole were 90 k J/mol and 115 k J/mol, respectively. The reaction starting position as well as the pathway of the hydrogenation of(N-ethyl)carbazole were investigated by comparing the kinetic characteristics of hydrogen uptake of carbazole and Nethylcarbazole. 5Influences of four processing methods on main nutritional components of foxtail millet: A review显示文摘Foxtail millet, originated from China and now cultivated worldwide, is a kind of high dietary fiber whole grain food, and has a high level of vitamins and proteins. Furthermore, foxtail millet has many positive effects on the adjuvant treatment of diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases because of the abundance in polyphenols. Nonetheless, foxtail millet has poor processing characteristics due to the absence of gluten, restricting the development of foxtail millet products. Studies have demonstrated that heat-moisture treatment, extrusion, superfine grinding, and microbial fermentation are promising methods to improve the processing qualities of foxtail millet. Heat-moisture treatment is helpful to increase the content of resistant starch but has less influence on other components, further reduce the GI value of foxtail millet. The extrusion has positive effects on improving the solubility of foxtail millet starch and increasing the contents of polyunsaturated fatty acid, linoleic and linolenic acids, and adverse effects on reducing the solubility of foxtail millet proteins and causing losses of nutrients due to Maillard reaction. Superfine grinding can reduce the particle size of foxtail millet to obtain a better mouthfeel of foxtail millet products. The superfine foxtail millet flour has better solubility, higher freeze-thaw stability, and lower gelatinization temperature. Microbial fermentation contributes positively to reducing the molecular weight and retrogradation value of foxtail millet starch, degrading rapidly digested starch, and improving the digestibility of foxtail millet protein. 6Responses of Soil Fauna Structure and Leaf Litter Decomposition to Effective Microorganism Treatments in Da Hinggan Mountains,China显示文摘Microorganisms are nutritious resources for various soil fauna.Although soil fauna grazing affects microorganism composition and decomposition rate,the responses of soil fauna and leaf litter decomposition to added microorganism is little understood.In this study,in the coniferous and broad-leaved mixed forest of Tahe County in the northern Da Hinggan Mountains,China,three sampling sites(each has an area of 10 m2) were selected.The first two sites were sprinkled with 250 times(EM1) and 1000 times(EM2) diluted effective microorganism(EM) preparations evenly,and the third site was sprinkled with the same volume of water as a control site.The responses of soil fauna structure and leaf litter decomposition to EM treatment were conducted during three years.The results revealed that EM treatment resulted in significant increase of soil organic matter.The number of soil fauna in the EM1 and EM2 sites increased by 12.88% and 2.23% compared to the control site,and among them springtails and mites showed the highest increase.However,the groups of soil fauna in the EM1 and EM2 sites decreased by 6 and 9,respectively.And the changes in the diversity and evenness index were relatively complicated.EM treatment slowed the decomposition of broad-leaved litter,but accelerated the decomposition of coniferous litter.However,the decomposition rate of broad-leaved litter was still higher than that of coniferous litter.The results of this study suggested that the added microorganisms could help individual growth of soil fauna,and this method led to a change in the process of leaf litter decomposition.This paper did not analyze the activity of soil microorganisms,thus it is difficult to clearly explain the complex relationships among litter type,soil fauna and soil microorganisms.Further research on this subject is needed.GAO Meixiang LI Jingke ZHANG Xueping 2012Chinese Geographical Science2012,22,6:4
7A systematic review of highland barley:Ingredients,health functions and applications显示文摘Due to its high nutritional and dietotherapy values,highland barley has attracted the attention and favor of people all over the world in recent years.It has been demonstrated that the nutritional components of highland barley are comprehensive and unique,with the characteristics of high protein,high fiber,high vitamin,lowfat,low sugar and variety of bioactive components.As the most important component in highland barley,highland barley starch not only has low digestibility,but also has good freeze-thaw stability,high solubility,good emulsion stability and superior film forming performance,which makes it have great application value in food,medicine and industrial production.The content of highland barley protein,which is rich in 18 kinds of amino acids,is higher than that of most grains,and its derivatives play an important role in medical treatment.Unfortunately,highland barley protein cannot form gluten network structure,which limits the application in daily staple food to a certain extent.Highland barley also contains a large amount of dietary fiber,especiallyβ-glucan.Long-term consumption could significantly reduce the incidence of chronic diseases and metabolic syndromes such as heart disease and diabetes.However,the research on the application of highland barley is still in the laboratory stage,which failed to achieve large-scale application in the actual production.The value of highland barley has not been brought into full play,which leads to the waste of its resources and the reduction of its added value.This paper reviewed themacronutrients,health functions and applications of highland barley,aiming to provide some reference for the development of highland barley in food and health industry.Yiming Lyu Sen Ma Jingke Liu Xiaoxi Wang 2022Grain & Oil Science and Technology2022,5,1:2

In this work, we have systematically investigated the pote ntial applicati on of function alized Ag2S nano dots for accurate imaging of damaged myocardium tissues after a myocardial in farction in duced by either partial or global ischemia. Ag2S nano dots surface-function alized with the an giote nsin II peptide (ATI I) have show n over 10-fold enhanced binding efficiency to damaged tissues than non-specifically (PEG) functionalized Ag2S nanodots due to their interaction with the upregulated angiotensin II receptor type I (AT1R). It is demonstrated how the NIR-II images generated by ATII-functionalized Ag2S nanodots contain valuable information about the location and extension of damaged tissue in the myocardium allowing for a proper identification of the occluded artery as well as an in direct evaluati on of the damage level. 10Numerical simulation of the behaviors of test square for prehistoric earthen sites during archaeological excavation显示文摘During the process of archaeological excavation in the regions of Southeast China, collapse of test square usually occurs due to poor site-specific conditions. In this paper, the fast Lagrangian analysis of continua in three dimensions(FLAC3D) is employed to reveal the behaviors of test square. Taking the archaeological works in Liangzhu prehistoric earthen sites as the research background, the paper first introduces the geological setting, excavation procedure and monitoring scheme of the studied test square. Then, the deformation of four sides of the test square is modeled using FLAC3D. By comparison, it shows that the numerical results are consistent with the results from field monitoring. 20An evaluation and query algorithm for the influence of spatial location based on RkNN显示文摘This paper is devoted to the investigation of the evaluation and query algorithm problem for the influence of spatial location based on RkNN(reverse k nearest neighbor).On the one hand,an object can make contribution to multiple locations.However,for the existing measures for evaluating the influence of spatial location,an object only makes contribution to one location,and its influence is usually measured by the number of spatial objects in the region.In this case,a new measure for evaluating the influence of spatial location based on the RkNN is proposed.Since the weight of the contribution is determined by the distance between the object and the location,the influence weight definition is given,which meets the actual applications.On the other hand,a query algorithm for the influence of spatial location is introduced based on the proposed measure.Firstly,an algorithm named INCH(INtersection’s Convex Hull)is applied to get candidate regions,where all objects are candidates.Then,kNN and Range-k are used to refine results.Then,according to the proposed measure,the weights of objects in RkNN results are computed,and the influence of the location is accumulated.The experimental results on the real data show that the optimized algorithms outperform the basic algorithm on efficiency.In addition,in order to provide the best customer service in the location problem and make the best use of all infrastructures,a location algorithm with the query is presented based on RkNN.The influence of each facility is calculated in the location program and the equilibrium coefficient is used to evaluate the reasonability of the location in the paper.The smaller the equilibrium coefficient is,the more reasonability the program is.The actual application shows that the location based on influence makes the location algorithm more reasonable and available.Jingke XU Yidan ZHAO Ge YU 2021Frontiers of Computer Science2021,15,2:0
