| 1 | Toward Wisdom-Evolutionary and Primitive-Concise 6G:A New Paradigm of Semantic Communication Networks显示文摘The sixth generation(6G)mobile networks will reshape the world by offering instant,efficient,and intelligent hyper-connectivity,as envisioned by the previously proposed Ubiquitous-X 6G networks.Such hyper-massive and global connectivity will introduce tremendous challenges into the operation and management of 6G networks,calling for revolutionary theories and technological innovations.To this end,we propose a new route to boost network capabilities toward a wisdom-evolutionary and primitive-concise network(WePCN)vision for the Ubiquitous-X 6G network.In particular,we aim to concretize the evolution path toward the WePCN by first conceiving a new semantic representation framework,namely semantic base,and then establishing an intelligent and efficient semantic communication(IE-SC)network architecture.In the IE-SC architecture,a semantic intelligence plane is employed to interconnect the semantic-empowered physical-bearing layer,network protocol layer,and application-intent layer via semantic information flows.The proposed architecture integrates artificial intelligence and network technologies to enable intelligent interactions among various communication objects in 6G.It features a lower bandwidth requirement,less redundancy,and more accurate intent identification.We also present a brief review of recent advances in semantic communications and highlight potential use cases,complemented by a range of open challenges for 6G. | Ping Zhang Wenjun Xu Hui Gao Kai Niu Xiaodong Xu Xiaoqi Qin Caixia Yuan Zhijin Qin Haitao Zhao Jibo Wei Fangwei Zhang | 2022 | Engineering2022,8,1: | 28 |
| 2 | A Joint Feedback Bit and Power Allocation Strategy for Multi-cell Systems over Composite Fading Channels显示文摘This paper addresses the joint Feedback bit allocation(FBA) and Power allocation(PA)problem for a limited feedback coordinated multi-cell transmission system over composite fading channels. The Rayleigh/Lognormal fading channel is considered, and the effects of path loss and the macro-level correlation are also taken into account. A modified performance measure, referred to as the virtual sum rate is adopted to facilitate the analysis. The closed forms of the lower bound on virtual sum rate are derived over uncorrelated and correlated shadowed fading channels. Based on the lower bound, we then formulate an optimization problem of maximizing the virtual sum rate under constraints on the total number of feedback bits per MS and the total transmit power per BS. Considering the tight coupling between the FBA and the PA, we solve the optimization problem by solving an alternating sequence of FBA and PA subproblems using a coordinated ascent searching method. | 4 | Effects of thiosulfate and dissolved oxygen on crevice corrosion of Alloy 690 in high-temperature chloride solution显示文摘The crevice corrosion behavior of Alloy 690 was investigated in high-temperature chloride solution containing different concentrations of thiosulfate(S_(2)O_(3)^(2-)) and dissolved oxygen(DO). The S2O32- inhibited corrosion of Alloy 690 through consuming oxygen in aerated chloride solution. In deaerated chloride solution,the S_(2)O_(3)^(2-) was reduced to S° and S^(2-) and subsequently incorporated into the oxide films, which promoted the pitting corrosion at locations of both TiN inclusions and matrix inside the crevice during the crevice corrosion as well as influenced the composition and thickness of the oxide films. | 6 | Towards Wide-Open, Adaptable DCF Implementation for Dynamic Networks显示文摘This work proposes a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA)-oriented architecture for the IEEE 802. 11 Distributed Coordination Function (DCF) transceiver. We describe the functional blocks carrying out the Carrier Sense Multiple Accesses with Collision Avoidance (CSMA/CA), develop the interfaces to the application layer and the physical layer, and implement it on FPGA devices by utilizing Very-high-speed-integrated-circuit Hardware Description Language (VHDL). The novelty of our proposal is twofold. Firstly, all MAC parameters (i.e., Max/Min Contention Window, Data Unit Length, Fragmentation Threshold, Retry Limit, etc.) can be directly accessed and programmed from the application layer interface, which is necessary to achieve better network performance in dynamic environments. When the condition of all direct channels is worse, JNFC scheme based on distributed LT(DLT) codes is used. Otherwise, JNFC scheme based on multi-dimensional LT(MD-LT) codes is suited. For both two above-mentioned schemes, the united degree distribution design method for short-length fountain codes is proposed. For the latter scheme, MD-LT codes are proposed for equal error protection(EEP) of each user. Simulation results and analysis show that the united degree distribution need less decoding overhead compared with other degree distribution for short-length fountain codes. However, an error floor occurs if the algorithm is applied over rapid-fading channels. Based on the assumption of continuous fading, a multiple symbol differential automatic sphere decoding (MSDASD) algorithm is developed by incorporating a recursive form of an ML metric into automatic SD (ASD) algorithm. Furthermore, two algorithms, termed as MSD approximate ASD (MSDAASD) and MSD pruning ASD (MSDPASD), are proposed to reduce computational complexity and the number of comparisons, respectively.
