| 1 | Protective effects of Yindanxinnaotong capsule in a rat model of myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effects of Yindanxinnaotong capsule(YDXNTC) and main components compatibility and ratios on myocardium against ischemia/reperfusion injury and the effect's underlying mechanism.METHODS: Myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury(MIRI) was induced by ischemia for 30 min and reperfusion for 30 min. Electrocardiogram data and coronary flow were recorded, and superoxide dismutase(SOD), malondialdehyde(MDA), lactate dehydrogenase, creatine kinase-MB, cardiac troponin T and I(cT nT, cT n I) and interleukin-1β, interleukin-8,interleukin-18(IL-1β, IL-8, IL-18) in myocardium were measured. Hypoxia/reoxygenation and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2) injury were induced by hypoxia for 3 h/reoxygenation for 2 h, and 100 μM H2O2 for 1 h, respectively, in vitro rat myocardial cells(H9c2). Cell viability, SOD, MDA, cT nT and inflamma-tory factors(IL-1β, IL-8 and IL-18) were determined,and Toll-like receptor 4(TLR-4) expression was measured by western blotting.RESULTS: In the isolated heart experiment, elevated heart function, coronary flow and SOD levels,and decreased MDA levels and inflammatory factors were noted in the YDXNTC, main components and main components compatibility groups. Ventricular tachycardia/ventricular fibrillation occurrence decreased in the ginkgo biloba extract(GBE),and GBE and salvia miltiorrhiza ethanol extract compatibility(SM-E, GSEC) groups. Lactic dehydrogenase levels decreased in the YDXNTC and aqueous extract of salvia miltiorrhiza(SM-H) groups. Creatine kinase-MB decreased with GBE, SM-E, SM-H and GSEC treatment, and cT n I and cT nT levels decreased with GSEC. In the in vitro cell study,YDXNTC and main components ratios improved cell viability and SOD levels, and suppressed MDA,cT nT and inflammatory factors. TLR-4 expression was down-regulated.CONCLUSION: YDXNTC and main components compatibility showed protective effects on MIRI in this rat model and in vitro study. | 2 | Mechanical and Wear Properties of Nanostructured Surface Layer in Iron Induced by Surface Mechanical Attrition Treatment显示文摘A porosity-free and contamination-free surface layer with grain sizes ranging from nanometer to micrometer in Fe samples was obtained by surface mechanical attrition treatment (SMAT) technique. Mechanical and wear properties of the surface layer in the SMATed and annealed Fe samples were measured by means of nanoindentation and nanoscratch tests, respectively. Experimental results showed that the hardness of the surface layer in the SMATed Fe sample increased evidently due to the grain refinement. The elastic noduli of the surface layers in the SMATed and annealed Fe samples were unchanged, independent of grain size in the present grain size regime. | 3 | Gaseous Nitriding Process of Surface Nanocrystallized (SNCed) Steel显示文摘The behavior of gaseous nitriding on the surface nanocrystallized (SNCed) steel was investigated. The mild steel discs were SNCed on one side by using the method of ultrasonic shot peening. The opposite side of the discs maintained the original coarse-grained condition. The gaseous nitriding was subsequently carried out at three different temperatures:460, 500 and 560℃. The compound layer growth and diffusion behavior were then studied. It was revealed that SNC pretreatment greatly enhances both diffusion coefficient D and surface reaction rate. As a result, nitriding time could be reduced to the half. | 4 | Anti-breast cancer effects and mechanisms of Xihuang pill on human breast cancer cell lines显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate the anti-breast cancer(BC) effects and mechanisms of action of Xihuang pill(XHP) by conducting in vitro experiments on human BC cell lines. METHODS: Two human BC cell lines(MCF-7 and MDAMB231) were cultured and treated with XHP. Cell viability was detected using the 3-(4, 5-Dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2, 5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide(MTT) assay. Flow cytometry was used to measure the cell cycle and apoptosis. The cell cycle was analyzed with propidium iodide staining. Apoptosis was evaluated using the Annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate/propidium iodide method. Western blotting was used to analyze the expression of estrogen receptor(ER)-α and ER-β.RESULTS: XHP had growth-inhibitory effects on MCF-7 and MDA-MB231 cells with a half-maximal inhibitory concentration(IC50) of 10.14 mg/mL(MCF-7) and 8.98 mg/mL(MDA-MB231). Apoptosis was induced to some extent. Certain changes in the ER were caused. Upregulation of ER-α protein was found in MCF-7 cells. ER-β expression in MDA-MB231 cells was increased. Cell-cycle arrest was not observed in the two BC cell lines. ER-β expression in MCF-7 cells was unchanged. No ER-α expression was shown in MDA-MB231 cells. CONCLUSION: These data suggest that XHP can affect cell viability and cause apoptosis, but that the cell cycle is not blocked. | 10 | Materials Experiment on Tiangong-2 Space Laboratory显示文摘During the China's Tiangong-2(TG-2) flight mission, the experiments of 18 kinds of material samples were conducted in space by using a Multiple Materials Processing Furnace(MMPF) mounted in the orbital module of the TG-2 space laboratory. After the experiments of 12 kinds of samples of the first and second batches were completed successfully, astronauts packed and brought them back to the ground by ShenzhouII spacecraft. By studying processing and formation on semiconductor and optoelectronics materials, metal alloys and metastable materials, functional single-crystal, micro-and nano-composite materials encapsulated in sample ampoules both in space and on Earth, we expect to explore some physical and chemical processes and mechanism of the materials formation that are normally obscured and therefore are difficult to study quantitatively on the ground due to the gravity-induced convection, to obtain the processing and synthesis technology for preparing high quality materials, and lead to the improvement and development of materials processing techniques on Earth, and also develop the experiment device and comprehensive ability for materials experiment in microgravity environment. | 12 | Effects of Ta Addition on NiTi Shape Memory Alloys显示文摘The effect of Ta addition on the martensitic transformation characteristics and the X-ray visibility on NiTi shape memory alloy have been studied in (Ni51Ti49)1-x Tax system. It was found that the transformation temperatures of the Ni51Ti49 binary alloy increased drastically by an addition of 0-4 at. pct Ta, but only slightly when the concentration exceeded 4 at. pct, the addition of Ta greatly decreases the sensitivity of the martensitic transformations to the variation in the Ni-Ti ratio. | 15 | Performance measurement of adaptive optics system based on Strehl ratio显示文摘In this article, a method for measuring the performance of adaptive optics(AO) systems is designed and validated by experiments. The Strehl ratio(SR) which is based on the target images is used to evaluate the performance quantitatively because it relates to the effect of AO correction directly. In the calculation of the SR, to avoid energy scaling in the diffraction-limited point spread function, an algorithm based on the integral of the optical transfer function(OTF) is proposed. Then, a 97-element AO system is established to validate this method, and a white-light fiber source is used as a point-like target. To simulate the practical conditions which influence the performance of the AO system, targets of different brightness are simulated in terms of different signal-to-noise ratios(SNRs) of the Shack-Hartmann(SH), and atmospheric turbulence is simulated in terms of the Fried's coherence length and the Greenwood's frequency. Finally, two experiments are conducted in which the SR of different simulated conditions are measured. The results of the experiments show that for a moderate SNR of SH the experimenting AO system is capable of closed-loop wavefront correction when the Fried's coherence length is larger than 5cm and the Greenwood's frequency is lower than 60 Hz. The results also show that the performance of AO is susceptible to the SNR of SH. | 16 | Synthesis of Acetic Acid on Pd-H_4SiW_(12)O_(40)-Based Catalysts by Direct Oxidation of Ethylene显示文摘Synthesis of acetic acid by direct oxidation of ethylene on Pd-H4SiW12O4o-based catalystswas studied in a fixed-bed integral reactor and a pulse differential reactor. From the performance of thecatalysts with different compositions and configurations, it is proposed that acetic acid is predominantlyproduced via an intermediate of acetaldehyde. This can be easily confirmed by comparing the productdistributions in the integral and the differential reactors. The active sites for acetic acid formation areconsidered to exist mainly at the boundaries between the H4SiW12O4o and the Pd particles. The Pd-basedcatalysts reduced by H2/N2 have higher activities than those reduced by hydrazine, as explained by thedegree of Pd dispersion obtained from the characteristics of hydrogen chemical adsorption.
