| 1 | M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptor in Alzheimer's disease显示文摘The degeneration of cholinergic neurons and cholinergic hypofunction are pathologies associated with Alzheimer's disease(AD). Muscarinic acetylcholine receptors(mAChRs) mediate acetylcholine-induced neurotransmission and five mAChR subtypes(M1–M5) have been identified. Among them, M1 mAChR is widely expressed in the central nervous system and has been implicated in many physiological and pathological brain functions. In addition, M1 mAChR is postulated to be an important therapeutic target for AD and several other neurodegenerative diseases. The unconditional stability and convergence rates of 2-α for time and r for space are proved when the method is used for the linear time FPDEs with α-th order time derivatives. | 3 | Improved clinical outcomes of rhG-CSF-mobilized blood and marrow haploidentical transplantation compared to propensity score-matched rhG-CSF-primed peripheral blood stem cell haploidentical transplantation:a multicenter study显示文摘The effects of haploidentical rhG-CSF-mobilized blood and marrow transplantation(HBMT) on hematological malignances are well established. Previous prospective single-center studies have demonstrated better survival after HBMT versus haploidentical rhG-CSF-mobilized peripheral blood stem cell transplantation(HPBSCT) for acute leukemia(AL) not in remission(NR) or in more than the second complete remission(>CR2). To test the hypothesis that HBMT is still superior to HPBSCT for patients with AL, multiple myeloma(MM), or non-Hodgkin lymphoma(NHL) in CR1/CR2 and for patients with chronic myeloid leukemia in the first and second chronic phase lacking a matched donor, we designed a propensity score method-based multicenter study.Hematopoietic recovery, acute graft-versus-host disease(aGVHD), and chronic GVHD were comparable between the HBMT group(n=168) and the HPBSCT group(n=42). No significant differences were found in non-relapse mortality rate(20.17%±3.58%and 27.24%±7.16%, P=0.18) or relapse rate(19.96%±3.72% and 28.49%±8.25%, P=0.32) between the HBMT group and the HPBSCT group. HBMT recipients had better overall survival(65.0%±4.2% and 54.2%±8.3%, P=0.037) and disease-free survival(59.9%±4.6% and 44.3%±8.7%, P=0.051). Multivariate analysis showed that HPBSCT was associated with poorer DFS(HR(95%CI), 1.639(0.995–2.699), P=0.052). | 4 | Common-anode LED on a Si substrate for beyond 15 Gbit/s underwater visible light communication显示文摘Visible light communication based on light-emitting diodes(LEDs) has become a promising candidate by providing high data rates, low latency, and secure communication for underwater environments. In this paper,a self-designed common-anode GaN-based five-primary-color LED(RGBYC LED) on a Si substrate is proposed and fabricated. The design of a common anode is used to mitigate the saturation effect for a low-frequency component. Additionally, compared with commercially available LEDs that suffer from nonlinearity distortion,applying the designed LED can provide much better and broader linearity according to the measurement results.Therefore, the modulation depth and system performance can be further improved to implement a high-speed underwater visible light communication(UVLC) system. There is no nonlinearity compensation algorithm applied due to the good linearity of the proposed LED;thus, the offline digital signal processing is simplified. | 6 | Development of matrix solid-phase dispersion method for the extraction of short-chain chlorinated paraffins in human placenta显示文摘Chlorinated paraffins(SCCPs) are widely used worldwide, and they can be released into the environment during their production, transport, usage and disposal, which pose potential risks for human health. In this work, an efficient, reliable and rapid pretreatment method based on matrix solid-phase dispersion(MSPD) was developed for the analysis of short-chain CPs(SCCPs) in human placenta by gas chromatograph-electron capture negative ion low-resolution mass spectrometry(GC-ECNI-LRMS) and gas chromatography–quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry(GC–QTOF-HRMS). The MSPD-relevant parameters including dispersing sorbent,sample-to-sorbent mass ratio, and elution solvent were optimized using the orthogonal test.Silica gel was found to be the optimal dispersing sorbent among the selected matrices. Under the optimal conditions, 44% acidic silica gel can be used as the co-sorbent to remove lipid and eluted by the mixture of hexane and dichloromethane(7:3, V/V). The spiked recoveries of the optimized method were 77.4% and 91.4% for analyzing SCCPs in human placenta by GC-ECNI-LRMS and GC–QTOF-HRMS, and the corresponding relative standard deviations were10.2% and 5.6%, respectively. The method detection limit for the total SCCPs was 36.8 ng/g(dry weight, dw) and 19.2 ng/g(dw) as measured by GC-ECNI-LRMS and GC–QTOF-HRMS,respectively. | 13 | Lithium-ion insertion kinetics of Na-doped Li2TiSiO5 as anode materials for lithium-ion batteries显示文摘Li2TiSiO5 receives much interest recently in lithium-ion battery anodes because of its attractive Liinsertion/extraction potential at 0.28 V(vs. Li+/Li), which bridges the potential gap between graphite and Li4 Ti5 O12. However, Li2TiSiO5 suffers from the low intrinsic electronic conductivity and sluggish Liion transfer kinetics. In this work, we report lithium-ion insertion kinetics of Li2TiSiO5 by Na doping,achieving high-rate capability. Rietveld refinement of X-ray diffraction results reveals that Na doping can enlarge the space of Li slabs, thus reducing the Li-ion transfer barrier and enhancing the Li-ion diffusion kinetics. According to first-principles calculations, Na doping can tune the band structure of Li2TiSiO5 from indirect to direct band, leading to improved electronic conductivity and electrochemical performance. | 17 | Profile and determinants of delayed care-seeking and diagnosis among patients with imported malaria: a retrospective study in China, 2014–2021显示文摘Background: In areas where malaria has been eliminated, delayed care-seeking and diagnosis of imported malaria are constant threats. This study aimed to describe the profile and determinants of delayed care-seeking and diagnosis among patients with imported malaria in China.Methods: This retrospective study assessed surveillance data obtained from 2014 to 2021 in the Chinese provincial-level administrative divisions (PLADs) of Anhui, Henan, Hubei, and Zhejiang, and Guangxi. Epidemiological characteristics were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Furthermore, factors associated with delayed care-seeking and diagnosis among imported malaria cases were identified using multivariate logistic regression.Results: Overall, 11.81% and 30.08% of imported malaria cases had delays in seeking care and diagnosis, respectively. During the study period, there was a decreasing trend in the proportion of imported malaria cases with delayed care-seeking (χ^(2) = 36.099,P < 0.001) and diagnosis (χ^(2) = 11.395,P = 0.001). In multivariate analysis, independent risk factors associated with delayed care-seeking include PLADs (Guangxi as reference), consultations in high-level facilities for the first medical visit, infections with non-Plasmodium falciparum species, and older age. However, PLADs (Guangxi as reference), the purpose of traveling (labour as reference), and infections with non-P. falciparum species increased the risk of delayed diagnosis. Delayed care-seeking (adjusted odds ratio: 1.79,P = 0.001) and diagnosis (adjusted odds ratio: 1.62,P = 0.004) were risk factors for severe disease development.Conclusions: Based on this study’s findings, we strongly advocate for improved access to quality healthcare to reduce the rate of misdiagnosis at the first visit. Infections caused by non-P. falciparum species should be highlighted, and more sensitive and specific point-of-care detection methods for non-P. falciparum species should be developed and implemented. In addition, education programs should be enhanced to reach target populations at risk of malaria infection.
