First mass measurement of short-lived nuclides at HIRFL-CSR显示文摘Recent commissioning of the HIRFL-CSR has demonstrated its ability to perform direct mass measurement for short-lived nuclides. Projectile fragments produced by the 78Kr ions at 481.88 MeV/u were separated with the new radioactive beam line in Lanzhou (RIBLL2), and injected into and stored in the experimental storage ring (CSRe). By operating the CSRe as an isochronous mass spectrometry, a typical mass resolution around 2.0×10?5 has been achieved. The masses for 63Ge, 65As and 67Se were measured for the first time. The measured masses are compared with theoretical predictions and the location of the proton drip-line for As isotopes is discussed. The implication of the 65As mass in the astrophysical rapid proton capture process has also been addressed. | XU HuShan TU XiaoLin YUAN YouJin XIA JiaWen ZANG YongDong WANG Meng MAO RuiShi HU ZhengGuo MEI Bo SHUAI Peng ZHU ZhiChao TANG ShuWen GENG Peng LIU Yong ZHAO TieCheng ZHANG XueYing YANG JianCheng MAO LiJun ZHANG YuHu ZHOU XiaoHong HUANG WenXue XIAO GuoQing ZHAO HongWei ZHAN WenLong | 2009 | Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,24: | 11
The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. As there were obvious heterogeneity in autoantibodies and clinical manifestation in different phenotypes of the disease, we should take more factors into consideration when identifying type 1 diabetes mellitus. | Jin Liu Lingling Bian Li Ji Yang Chen Heng Chen Yong Gu Bingqin Ma Wei Gu Xinyu Xu Yun Shi Jian Wang Dalong Zhu Zilin Sun Jianhua Ma Hui Jin Xing Shi Heng Miao Bing Xin Yan Zhu Zhenwen Zhang Ruifang Bu Lan Xu Guangde Shi Wei Tang Wei Li Dongmei Zhou Jun Liang Xingbo Cheng Bimin Shi Jixiang Dong Ji Hu Chen Fang Shao Zhong Weinan Yu Weiping Lu Chenguang Wu Li Qian Jiancheng Yu Jialin Gao Xiaoqiang Fei Qingqing Zhang Xueqin Wang Shiwei Cui Jinluo Cheng Ning Xu Guofeng Wang Guoqing Han Chunrong Xu Yun Xie Minmin An Wei Zhang Zhixiao Wang Yun Cai Qi Fu Yu Fu Shuai Zheng Fan Yang Qingfang Hu Hao Dai Yu Jin Zheng Zhang Kuanfeng Xu Yifan Li Jie Shen Hongwen Zhou Wei He Xuqin Zheng Xiao Han Liping Yu Jinxiong She Mei Zhang Tao Yang | 2016 | Science China(Life Sciences)2016,59,9: | 5

1-Naphthol induced PtsAg nanocorals as bifunctional cathode and anode catalysts of direct formic acid fuel cells显示文摘Developing highly efficient bifunctional cathode and anode electrocatalysts is very important for the large-scale application of direct formic acid fuel cells. However, the high-cost and poor CO-tolera nee ability of the most commonly used Pt greatly block this process. To in crease the utilizatio n efficie ncy and exte nd bifunctional properties of precious Pt, herei n, coral-like Pt3Ag nano crystals are developed as an excelle nt bifunctional electrocatalyst through a facile one-pot solvothermal method. The formation mechanism of Ptgg nanocorals has been elaborated well via a series of control experiments. It is proved that 1-naphthol serving as a guiding surfactant plays a key role in the formation of high-quality nano corals. Thanks to the unique coral-like structure and alloy effects, the developed Ptgg nano corals present sign ificantly enhanced electrocatalytic properties (including activity, stability and CO-toleranee ability) towards both the cathodic oxygen reduction and anodic formic acid oxidati on, as compared with those of commercial Pt black and Pt-based nan oparticles. The prese nt synthetic method can also be extended to fabricate other bimetallic electrocatalysts with unique morphology and structure. | Xian Jiang Yang Liu Jiaxin Wang Yufei Wang Yuexin Xiong Qun Liu Naixu Li Jiancheng Zhou Gengtao Fu Dongmei Sun Yawen Tang | 2019 | Nano Research2019,12,2: | 4

Effect of Nao Yikang on choline acetyltransferase and caspase-3 brain expression in a rat model of Alzheimer's disease显示文摘BACKGROUND: The main components of the traditional Chinese medicine compound Nao Yikanghave been shown to possibly alleviate neural damage.OBJECTIVE: To observe the effects of Nao Yikang on expression of choline acetyltransferase(ChAT) and caspase-3 in the rat brains of an experimental Alzheimer's disease (AD) model, and toinvestigate the mechanisms of potential neuroprotective effects.DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized, controlled experiment was performed at theDepartment of Pathophysiology, Medical School of Nantong University between November 2006and December 2007.MATERIALS: The main active components of Nao Yikang were as follows: prepared polygonummultiflorum, Rhizoma anemarrhenae, and Rhizoma acori tatarinowii. Nao Yikang granules wereprepared by Nantong Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Ibotenic acid (IBO) was purchasedfrom Sigma-Aldrich, USA, ChAT goat anti-rat antibody from Chemicon, USA, and cleaved caspase-3rabbit anti-rat (Asp175) (5A1) antibody from Cell Signaling, USA.METHODS: A total of 60 male, Sprague Dawley rats (2 months old) were randomly assigned to 6groups: sham-surgery, model, Nao Yikang 1.73, 3.45, 6.90 g/kg per day, and piracetam, with 10 ratsin each group. Bilateral infusions of 5 μg IBO into the nucleus basalis of Meynert were performedwith Hamilton syringe and stereotaxic apparatus for AD model establishment. For the sham-surgerygroup, rats received 1 μL saline in the identical stereotaxic position. From the second day, NaoYikang groups were administrated 1.73, 3.45, and 6.90 g/kg per day Nao Yikang, respectively, whilethe piracetam group received 0.04 g/mL piracetam, the model group received 0.5% sodiumcarboxymethyl cellulose, and the sham-surgery group received normal saline. Rats wereintragastrically administered 1 mL/100 g daily for 28 consecutive days.MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Following treatment of the various solutions for 28 days, Westernblot was utilized to observe ChAT expression in the frontal cortex of AD rats, andimmunohistochemistry was applied to quantify caspase-3-positive cells in the frontal cortex.RESULTS: ChAT protein expression significantly decreased in the model group (P < 0.01), howevercaspase-3 expression was significantly elevated (P < 0.01) compared with the sham-surgery group.Compared with the model group, ChAT protein expression increased in the Nao Yikang 1.73 g/kgper day, 3.45 g/kg per day, 6.90 g/kg per day groups, and the piracetam group (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01)and the number of caspase-3-positive cells decreased in the Nao Yikang 3.45 g/kg per day and6.90 g/kg per day groups (P < 0.01). However, there was no change in the number ofcaspase-3-positive cells in the 3.45 g/kg per day group.CONCLUSION: The traditional Chinese medicine compound Nao Yikangincreased ChAT proteinexpression and suppressed caspase-3 expression in the frontal cortex in a dose-dependent manner. | Jinsong Geng Hengjian Ni Jiancheng Dong Kui Jiang Ailing Zhou Yae Hu | 2009 | Neural Regeneration Research2009,4,12: | 3
Trimetallic Au@PdPb nanowires for oxygen reduction reaction显示文摘The development of highly efficient and stable Pd-based catalysts is crucial to improve their sluggish oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)kinetics in acid media. To improve ORR activity and utilization efficiency of Pd,an ideal catalyst should have ORR-favorable chemical environment, optimized geometric structure, and long periods of operation. In this work,we first synthesize a novel trimetallic Au@PdPb core–shell catalyst consisting of PdPb alloy nano-layers grown on the surface of ultrathin Au nanowires(NWs)by a two-step water-bath method. The Au@PdPb NWs have the merits of anisotropic one-dimensional nanostructure, high utilization efficiency of Pd atoms and doping of Pb atoms.Because of the structural and multiple compositional advantages,Au@PdPb NWs exhibit remarkably enhanced ORR activity with a high haIf-wave potential(0.827 V),much better than those of commercial Pd black(0.788 V)and bimetallic Au@Pd NWs(0.803 V).Moreover,Au@PdPb NWs display better electrocatalytic stability for the ORR than those of Pd black and Au@Pd NWs.This study demonstrates the validity of our approach for deriving highly ORR-active Pd-based catalysts by modifying their structure and composition. | Xian Jiang Yuexin Xiong Ruopeng Zhao Jiancheng Zhou Jong-Min Lee Yawen Tang | 2020 | Nano Research2020,13,10: | 3
Smart drug delivery systems for precise cancer therapy显示文摘Nano-drug delivery strategies have been highlighted in cancer treatment, and much effort has been made in the optimization of bioavailability, biocompatibility, pharmacokinetics profiles, and in vivo distributions of anticancer nano-drug delivery systems. However, problems still exist in the delicate balance between improved anticancer efficacy and reduced toxicity to normal tissues, and opportunities arise along with the development of smart stimuli-responsive delivery strategies. By on-demand responsiveness towards exogenous or endogenous stimulus, these smart delivery systems hold promise for advanced tumor-specificity as well as controllable release behavior in a spatial-temporal manner. Meanwhile, the blossom of nanotechnology, material sciences, and biomedical sciences has shed light on the diverse modern drug delivery systems with smart characteristics, versatile functions, and modification possibilities. This review summarizes the current progress in various strategies for smart drug delivery systems against malignancies and introduces the representative endogenous and exogenous stimuli-responsive smart delivery systems. | 9 | Microarray expression profile and functional analysis of circular RNAs in choroidal neovascularization显示文摘Choroidal neovascularization(CNV) is a leading cause of visual loss in age-related macular degeneration(AMD). However, the molecular mechanism for CNV progression is still unclear. This study aimed to identify CNV-related circular RNAs(circRNAs), a novel class of non-coding RNAs with diverse functions. A total of 117 circRNAs were differentially expressed in the murine CNV model by microarrays. Gene ontology(GO)enrichment and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) analysis were performed to identify the functions of selected circRNAs. The host genes of these circRNAs were predicted to be targeted to neurogenesis(ontology: biological process), proteinaceous extracellular matrix(ECM)(ontology: cellular component), and binding(ontology: molecular function). Differentially expressed circRNAs-mediated regulatory networks were enriched in ECM receptor interaction. Most of the dysregulated circRNAs could potentially bind to five different mi RNAs by Target Scan and mi Randa. Specifically, circ_15752 was identified in this circRNAs pool which may facilitate vascular endothelial cell proliferation, migration, and tube formation, suggesting a critical role in endothelial angiogenesis. Our work suggests that dysregulated circRNAs may be involved in CNV pathogenesis and serve as potential biomarkers for CNV. | Jiancheng Huang Meng Chen Kai Xu Rongmei Zhou Shujie Zhang Chen Zhao | 2020 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2020,34,1: | 2

Catalytic Hydrogenation of Acetic Acid to Acetaldehyde: Synergistic Effect of Bifunctional Co/Ce-Fe Oxide Solid Solution Catalysts显示文摘The large-scale industrial production of acetic acid (HAc) from carbonylation of methanol has enabled intense research interest from direct hydrogenation of HAc to acetaldehyde (AA).Herein,a series of cerium-iron oxide solid solution supported metallic cobalt catalysts were prepared by modified sol-gel method and were applied in gas-phase hydrogenation of HAc to AA.A synergistic effect between the hydrogenation metal cobalt and Ce-Fe oxide solid solution is revealed.Specifically, oxygen vacancies provide the active sites for adsorption of HAc,while highly uniformly dispersed metallic Co adsorbs H2 and activates the reduction of HAc into AA.Moreover, the metallic Co can also assist the cyclical conversion between Fe3+/Fe2+ and Ce3+/Ce4+ on the surface of Ce1.xFexO2-δ supports. The unique effect substantially enhances the ability of the support material to rapidly capture oxygen atoms from HAc.It is found that the catalyst of 5% Co/Ce0.8Fe0.2O2-δ with the highest concentration of oxygen vacancy presents the best catalytic performance (i.e.acetaldehyde yield reaches 49.9%) under the optimal reaction conditions (i.e.623 K and H2 flow rate =10 mL/min).This work indicates that the Co/Ce-Fe oxide solid solution catalyst can be potentially used for the selective hydrogenation from HAc to AA.The synergy between the metallic Co and Ce1-xFexO2-δ revealed can be extended to the design of other composite catalysts. | Naixu Li Qi Zhang Rehana Bibi Quanhao Shen Richard Ngulube Yunyi Liu Jiancheng Zhou | 2019 | Chinese Journal of Chemistry2019,37,7: | 2

Enhanced TE properties of Cu@Ag/Bi2Te3 nanocomposites by decoupling electrical and thermal properties显示文摘Cu@Ag/Bi2Te3 nanocomposites were prepared for the first time by ultrasonic dispersion-rapid freezedrying method combined with spark plasma sintering(SPS).By changing the content of Cu@Ag nanoparticle,we could modulate the temperature dependent thermoelectric properties. The highest ZT value can be obtained at 450 K for 1 vol%Cu@Ag/Bi2Te3,which is benefited from the decoupling of electrical and thermal properties. With the increase of electrical conductivity, the absolute value of Seebeck coefficient lifts while the thermal conductivity declines.Meanwhile, the average ZT value between 300 K and 475 K was 0.61 for 1 vol%Cu@Ag/Bi2Te3,which is much higher than that of pristine Bi2 Te3.Therefore,the decoupling effect of Cu@Ag nanoparticles incorporation could be a promising method to broaden the application of Bi2Te3 based thermoelectric materials. | Xiaofang Lu Qi Zheng Shijia Gu Rui Guo Li Su Jiancheng Wang Zhenxing Zhou Yuchi Fan Wan Jiang Lianjun Wang | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,3: | 1
Clustered DNA damage induced by protons radiation in plasmid DNA显示文摘Clustered DNA damage is considered as a critical type of lesions induced by ionizing radiation, which can be converted into the fatal or strong mutagenic complex double strand breaks (DSBs) during damage processing in the cells. The new data show that high energy protons produce more potentially lethal DSBs than low LET radiation. In this study, plasmid DNA were used to in-vestigate and re-evaluate the biological effects induced by the protons with the LET of ~3.6 keV/μm at the molecular level in vitro, including single strand breaks (SSBs), DSBs, isolated and clustered base damages. The results of complex DNA damage detections indicated that protons at the given LET value induce about 1.6 fold more non-DSB clustered DNA damages than the prompt DSB. The DNA damage yields by protons were greater than that by γ-rays, specifically by 6 fold for the isolated type of DNA damage and 14 fold for the clustered damage. Furthermore, the spectrum of damages was also demonstrated to be depended on the radiation quality, with protons producing more DSBs relative to clusters than do γ-rays. | SUI Li WANG Yu WANG Xiao KONG FuQuan LIU JianCheng ZHOU PingKun | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,26: | 1
