| 1 | Effects of mulberry leaf flavonoid and resveratrol on methane emission and nutrient digestion in sheep显示文摘As a new type of methane control agent, natural plant extract has been widely studied in recent years,but in vivo studies are few. This study was to investigate the effects of the dietary supplementation of 2 different polyphenols on the methane(CH4) emission and digestion metabolism in sheep. Ten healthy crossbred sheep(Dorper(?)× small-tailed Han ♀; BW 60.0 ± 1.73 kg) were used in a change-over design.The sheep were fed the following 3 diets in the present study: the basal diet(CON) with no supplementation; the basal diet supplemented with 2 g mulberry leaf flavonoid(MLF) per day per sheep; the basal diet supplemented with 0.25 g resveratrol(RES) per day per sheep. Both MLF and RES reduced CH4 emission scaled to metabolic weight per kilogram of DMI and CO2 output scaled to metabolic weight, but the effect of RES was significant(P < 0.05). Both MLF and RES significantly improved apparent digestibility of DM, OM, NDF, ADF, and nitrogen, but the effect of RES was significant(P < 0.05). Both MLF and RES significantly improved ME(P < 0.05) and reduced energy losses in CH4 emission(P > 0.05). | 2 | First mass measurement of short-lived nuclides at HIRFL-CSR显示文摘Recent commissioning of the HIRFL-CSR has demonstrated its ability to perform direct mass measurement for short-lived nuclides. Projectile fragments produced by the 78Kr ions at 481.88 MeV/u were separated with the new radioactive beam line in Lanzhou (RIBLL2), and injected into and stored in the experimental storage ring (CSRe). By operating the CSRe as an isochronous mass spectrometry, a typical mass resolution around 2.0×10?5 has been achieved. The masses for 63Ge, 65As and 67Se were measured for the first time. The measured masses are compared with theoretical predictions and the location of the proton drip-line for As isotopes is discussed. | 3 | Effects of Epidural Spinal Cord Stimulation and Treadmill Training on Locomotion Function and Ultrastructure of Spinal Cord Anterior Horn after Moderate Spinal Cord Injury in Rats显示文摘Objective:To investigate the effects of epidural spinal cord stimulation(ESCS) and treadmill training on the locomotion function and ultrastructure of spinal cord anterior horn after moderate spinal cord injury in rats.Method:Nine adult female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly distributed into three groups:①spinal cord injury group(SI,n=3).②spinal cord injury plus ESCS group(SE,n=3).③spinal cord injury plus treadmill training group(TT,n=3).All rats received a moderate spinal cord injury surgery.Four weeks after surgery,rats in SE group received an electrode implantation procedure,with the electrode field covering spinal cord segments L2-S1.Four weeks after electrode implantation,rats received subthreshold ESCS for 30 min/d.Rats in TT group received 4cm/s treadmill training for 30min/d.Rats in SI group received no intervention,as a control group.All procedures in these three groups lasted four weeks.The open field Basso,Beattie and Bresnahan(BBB) scale was used before and after intervention to evaluate rats' hindlimb motor function.Result:After four weeks intervention,rats in TT group improved their open field locomotion scores to 20.In contrast,no significant improvement was observed in groups SI and SE.The morphology of synapses and neurons were similar regardless of whether rats had undergone ESCS,treadmill training or not.Conclusion:ESCS alone was not sufficient to improve the walking ability of spinal cord injured rats.ESCS or treadmill training alone might not contribute to the changes of ultrastructure in anterior horn of spinal cord that underlie the recovery of walking ability.Further research is needed to understand the contributions of combination of ESCS and treadmill training to the rehabilitation of spinal cord injured rats. | WANG Yizhao HUANG Xiaolin XU Jiang XU Tao FANG Zhengyu XU Qi TU Xikai YANG Peipei | 2009 | 中国康复医学杂志2009,24,6: | 4 |

| 5 | Effect of thermal shield and gas flow on thermal elastic stresses in 300mm silicon crystal显示文摘The thermal elastic stresses induced in 300 mm Si crystal may be great troubles because it can incur the generation of dislocations and undesirable excessive residual stresses. A special thermal modeling tool, CrysVUn, was used for numerical analysis of thermal elastic stresses and stress distribution of 300 mm Si crystal under the consideration of different thermal shields and gas flow conditions. The adopted governing partial equations for stress calculation are Cauchy′s first and second laws of motion. It is demonstrated that the presence and shape of thermal shield, the gas pressure and velocity can strongly affect von Mises stress distribution in Si crystal. With steep-wall shield, however, the maximal stress and ratio of high stress area are relatively low. With slope-wall shield or without shield, both maximal stress and ratio of high stress area are increased in evidence. Whether thermal shields are used or not, the increase of gas flow velocity could raise the stress level. In contrast, the increase of gas pressure cannot result in so significant effect. | 6 | A novel decellularized matrix of Wnt signaling-activated osteocytes accelerates the repair of critical-sized parietal bone defects with osteoclastogenesis, angiogenesis, and neurogenesis显示文摘Cell source is the key to decellularized matrix(DM)strategy.This study compared 3 cell types,osteocytes with/without dominant active Wnt/β-catenin signaling(daCO and WTO)and bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs)for their DMs in bone repair.Decellularization removes all organelles and>95%DNA,and retained>74%collagen and>71%GAG,maintains the integrity of cell basement membrane with dense boundaries showing oval and honeycomb structure in osteocytic DM and smooth but irregular shape in the BMSC-DM.DM produced higher cell survival rate(90%)and higher proliferative activity.In vitro,daCO-DM induces more and longer stress fibers in BMSCs,conducive to cell adhesion,spreading,and osteogenic differentiation.8-wk after implantation of the critical-sized parietal bone defect model,daCO-DM formed tight structures,composed of a large number of densely-arranged type-I collagen under polarized light microscope,which is similar to and integrated with host bone.BV/TV(>54%)was 1.5,2.9,and 3.5 times of WTO-DM,BMSC-DM,and none-DM groups,and N.Ob/T.Ar(3.2×10^(2)/mm^(2))was 1.7,2.9,and 3.3 times.At 4-wk,daCO-DM induced osteoclastogenesis,2.3 times higher than WTO-DM;but BMSC-DM or none-DM didn't.daCO-DM increased the expression of RANKL and MCSF,Vegfa and Angpt1,and Ngf in BMSCs,which contributes to osteoclastogenesis,angiogenesis,and neurogenesis,respectively.daCO-DM promoted H-type vessel formation and nerve markersβ3-tubulin and NeuN expression.Conclusion:daCO-DM produces metabolic and neurovascularized organoid bone to accelerate the repair of bone defects.These features are expected to achieve the effect of autologous bone transplantation,suitable for transformation application. | Xiaofang Wang Yufei Ma Jie Chen Yujiao Liu Guangliang Liu Pengtao Wang Bo Wang Makoto M.Taketo Teresita Bellido Xiaolin Tu | 2023 | Bioactive Materials2023,,3: | 2 |

| 9 | 3D printing of osteocytic Dll4 integrated with PCL for cell fate determination towards osteoblasts in vitro显示文摘Since 3D printed hard materials could match the shape of bone,cell survival and fate determination towards osteoblasts in such materials have become a popular research target.In this study,a scaffold of hardmaterial for 3D fabrication was designed to regulate developmental signal(Notch)transduction guiding osteoblast differentiation.We established a polycaprolactone(PCL)and cell-integrated 3D printing system(PCI3D)to reciprocally print the beams of PCL and cell-laden hydrogel for a module.This PCI3D module holds good cell viability of over 87%,whereas cells show about sixfold proliferation in a 7-day culture.The osteocytic MLO-Y4 was engineered to overexpress Notch ligand Dll4,making up 25%after mixing with 75%stromal cells in the PCI3D module.Osteocytic Dll4,unlike other delta-like family members such as Dll1 or Dll3,promotes osteoblast differentiation and themineralization of primary mouse and a cell line of bone marrow stromal cells when cultured in a PCI3D module for up to 28 days.Mechanistically,osteocytic Dll4 could not promote osteogenic differentiation of the primary bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs)after conditional deletion of the Notch transcription factor RBPjκby Cre recombinase.These data indicate that osteocytic Dll4 activates RBPjκ-dependent canonical Notch signaling in BMSCs for their oriented differentiation towards osteoblasts.Additionally,osteocytic Dll4 holds a great potential for angiogenesis in human umbilical vein endothelial cells within modules.Our study reveals that osteocytic Dll4 could be the osteogenic niche determining cell fate towards osteoblasts.This will open a new avenue to overcome the current limitation of poor cell viability and low bioactivity of traditional orthopedic implants. | Pengtao Wang Xiaofang Wang Bo Wang Xian Li Zhengsong Xie Jie Chen Tasuku Honjo Xiaolin Tu | 2022 | Bio-Design and Manufacturing2022,5,3: | 1 |

Isochronous mass spectrometry (IMS), using astorage ring combined with an in-flight separator, has been shown to be a powerful tool for mass measurementof exotic nuclei[1]. Recently, masses of many proton-rich nuclides were accurately determined at the HIRFL-CSRfacility[2]. In this paper, we described the first isochronous mass measurement of neutron-rich nuclides at CSRe.This experiment was performed at the end of 2011. In the experiment, the primary beam of 86Kr28+ ions wasaccumulated and accelerated to an energy of 460.65 MeV/u in the synchrotron CSRm. | 12 | 2-5 Data Analysis of the Schottky Mass Measurements of 152Sm Fragments显示文摘Precision mass measurements of neutron-deficient 152Sm projectile fragments were conducted in 2005 at theFRS-ESR facility at GSI Helmholtz centre[1, 2], employing the time-resolved Schottky Mass Spectrometry[3]. A newmass evaluation method has been developed in the data analysis. The systematic error in the mass determinationwas significantly reduced with the new method[4].Exotic nuclei, produced by projectile fragmentation of a 615 AMeV 152Sm primary beam in a 4.009 g/cm2beryllium target, were transmitted and B-separated by the fragment separator FRS and then injected and storedin the experimental storage ring ESR. In ESR the electron-cooling process was continuously applied to the storedions. | 15 | 2-9 Half-life Measurement of 94mRu44+ at CSRe显示文摘A radioactive nucleus is characterized with an intrinsic half-life. However, for a nuclear species, the half-lives inneutral atoms could be very different from that in highly charged ions. The half-lives of some highly charged ionshave been directly measured at GSI for multiple motivations[1]. In the same case, the nuclear state(i:e the isomer)may be in the range of several tens of microseconds and their half-live can be measured using isochronous massspectrometry. The J = 8+ isomeric state in 94Ru was chosen to test this method. The half-life of this isomer is71 s [2] in neutral atoms, and the excitation energy is 2.64 MeV. The internal conversion coefficient of this decayin neutral atom is 0.335. | 16 | Phosphorus substitution into Co_(3)S_(4) nanoneedle arrays for efficient hydrogen evolution catalysis显示文摘Transition-metal based hybrids with excellent stability and activity are favorable candidates for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).The development of typical Co_(3)S_(4)has recently received considerable attention due to the multiple valences of the spinel-structured compound.However,the in-depth effect of the dopants on the HER performance of Co_(3)S_(4)has not been systematically clarified.Here,we report a sequential synthesis of a spinel-structured cobalt phosphosulfate nanoneedle arrays grown on carbon cloth(namely,P-Co_(3)S_(4)/CC).Results indicate that P-Co_(3)S_(4)/CC exhibits high electrocatalytic performance for HER with a low overpotential of 65 mV to drive10 mAcm……(-2),a small Tafel slope of 76.6 mV per decade,and great long-term stability for 25 h at various current densities in alkaline electrolyte.The first-principle calculation result reveals that the phosphorous doping work at Co_(3)S_(4)enhances the HER performance significantly because the tetrahedral Co^(2+)active sites nearest the P atoms more easily weaken the H-O bond to form intermediates.The experiment result characterization and theoretical calculations further show that the introduction of P atom not only offers more active sites but also improves the electrical conductivity in an alkaline electrolyte solution.Consequently,the identification of active species provides feasible guidance for the further design of high-performance spinel-structured catalysts. | Zhangtao Guo Gaoqi Tian Lin Liu Binyu Zhang Qiang Wu Yang Cao Jinchun Tu Lei Ding Xiaolin Zhang | 2021 | Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,30: | 0 |
