1Carbon Dioxide Captured from Flue Gas by Modified Ca-based Sorbents in Fixed-bed Reactor at High Temperature显示文摘Four kinds of Ca-based sorbents were prepared by calcination and hydration reactions using different precursors: calcium hydroxide, calcium carbonate, calcium acetate monohydrate and calcium oxide. The CO2 absorption capacity of those sorbents was investigated in a fixed-bed reactor in the temperature range of 350-650℃. It was found that all of those sorbents showed higher capacity for CO2 absorption when the operating temperature higher than 450℃. The CaAc2-CaO sorbent showed the highest CO2 absorption capacity of 299mg·g-1. The morphology of those sorbents was examined by scanning electron microscope (SEM), and the changes of composition before and after carbonation were also determined by X-ray diffraction (XRD). Results indicated that those sorbents have the similar chemical compositions and crystalline phases before carbonation reaction [mainly Ca(OH)2], and CaCO3 is the main component after carbonation reaction. The SEM morphology shows clearly that the sorbent pores were filled with reaction products after carbonation reaction, and became much denser than before. The N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms indicated that the CaAc2-CaO and CaCO3-CaO sorbents have higher specific surface area, larger pore volume and appropriate pore size distribution than that of CaO-CaO and Ca(OH)2-CaO.YANG Lei YU Hongbing WANG Shengqiang WANG Haowen ZHOU Qibin 2013Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2013,21,2:8

5Association between Metabolic Dysfunction-associated Fatty Liver Disease and Cognitive Impairment显示文摘Background and Aims:Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease(MAFLD)is a newly proposed term based on modified criteria.Although nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)has been well-documented as a multisystem dis-ease,research on the correlation of MAFLD and extra-hepatic diseases is limited.This study aimed to clarify the association of MAFLD,as well as NAFLD status with cognitive function.Methods:A total of 5,662 participants 20-59 years of age who underwent cognitive tests and liver ultrasonography in the Third National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey were included in the analysis.Cognitive function was evalu-ated using three computer-administered tests,the serial dig-it learning test(SDLT),the simple reaction time test(SRTT)and the symbol digit substitution test(SDST).Results:Par-ticipants with MAFLD had significantly poorer performance on the SRTT[odds ratio(OR)1.47,95%confidence interval(CI):1.14-1.89)].MAFLD with moderate-severe liver stea-tosis was associated with higher risks of scoring low in the SDLT(OR 1.37,95%CI:1.04-1.82)and SRTT(OR 1.55,95%CI:1.19-2.02).NAFLD combined with metabolic dys-function,instead of NAFLD without metabolic disorders,was associated an increased risk of a low SRTT score(OR 1.44,95%CI:1.10-1.82).MAFLD patients had a high probability of fibrosis,prediabetes,and diabetes and were also signifi-cantly associated with increased risks based on the SDST or SRTT score.Conclusions:MAFLD was significantly associ-ated with increased risk of cognitive impairment,especially among MAFLD patients with a high degree of liver fibrosis,moderate-severe steatosis,or hyperglycemia.Qiang Yu Ruixin He Haowen Jiang Ji Wu Zhifeng Xi Kang He Yongbo Liu Tao Zhou Mingxuan Feng Ping Wan Hexin Yan Qiang Xia 2022Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2022,10,6:1

7Metalens-based stereoscopic microscope显示文摘Stereoscopic microscopy is a promising technology to obtain three-dimensional microscopic images.Such microscopes are based on the parallax effect,and as such require two lenses to focus at two different points.Geometrical constraints,however,restrict their numerical apertures to about 0.2,thus limiting the system’s resolution.Higher numerical apertures(.35)can be achieved with designs using only one bulk lens,but such systems are0 times more costly than the conventional ones.Thus,there is a pressing need for alternative solutions to improve the resolution of stereoscopic systems.Here,we show that high-resolution and low-cost stereoscopic systems can be obtained using birefringent single-layer metalenses.We design and fabricate a birefringent metalens operating at 532 nm with a numerical aperture as high as 0.4.The metalens is then used to demonstrate high-resolution stereoscopic imaging of biological samples.The microscopic images are further displayed and perceived vividly in an autostereoscopic display.Our demonstration paves the way to a new strategy to achieve high-resolution and low-cost stereoscopic microscopes.YONG LONG JIANCHAO ZHANG ZHIHAO LIU WEIBIN FENG SONGMING GUO QIAN SUN QINFEI WU XIANGYANG YU JIANYING ZHOU EMILIANO RMARTINS HAOWEN LIANG JUNTAO LI 2022Photonics Research2022,10,6:1
8Highly reconfigurable silicon integrated microwave photonic filter towards next-generation wireless communication显示文摘Integrated microwave photonic filters(IMPFs)are capable of offering unparalleled performances in terms of superb spectral fineness,broadband,and more importantly,the reconfigurability,which encounter the trend of the next-generation wireless communication.However,to achieve high reconfigurability,previous works should adopt complicated system structures and modulation formats,which put great pressure on power consumption and controlment,and,therefore,impede the massive deployment of IMPF.Here,we propose a streamlined architecture for a wideband and highly reconfigurable IMPF on the silicon photonics platform.For various practical filter responses,to avoid complex auxiliary devices and bias drift problems,a phase-modulated flexible sideband cancellation method is employed based on the intensity-consistent single-stage-adjustable cascadedmicroring(ICSSA-CM).The IMPF exhibits an operation band extending to millimeter-wave(≥30 GHz),and other extraordinary performances including high spectral resolution of 220 MHz and large rejection ratio of 60 d B are obtained.Moreover,Gb/s-level RF wireless communications are demonstrated for the first time towards real-world scenarios.The proposed IMPF provides broadband flexible spectrum control capabilities,showing great potential in the next-generation wireless communication.ZIHAN TAO YUANSHENG TAO MING JIN JUN QIN RUIXUAN CHEN BITAO SHEN YICHEN WU HAOWEN SHU SHAOHUA YU XINGJUN WANG 2023Photonics Research2023,11,5:0
9Submilliwatt, widely tunable coherent microcomb generation with feedback-free operation显示文摘Microcombs are revolutionizing optoelectronics by providing parallel, mutually coherent wavelengthchannels for time-frequency metrology and information processing. To implement this essential function inintegrated photonic systems, it is desirable to drive microcombs directly with an on-chip laser in a simpleand flexible way. However, two major difficulties have prevented this goal: (1) generating mode-lockedcomb states usually requires a significant amount of pump power and (2) the requirement to align laser andresonator frequency significantly complicates operation and limits the tunability of the comb lines. Here, weaddress these problems by using microresonators on an AlGaAs on-insulator platform to generate dark-pulsemicrocombs. This highly nonlinear platform dramatically relaxes fabrication requirements and leads to arecord-low pump power of <1 mW for coherent comb generation. Dark-pulse microcombs facilitated bythermally controlled avoided mode crossings are accessed by direct distributed feedback laser pumping.Without any feedback or control circuitries, the comb shows good coherence and stability. With around150 mW on-chip power, this approach also leads to an unprecedentedly wide tuning range of over one freespectral range (97.5 GHz). 11Microarray screening of differentially expressed genes in DCX transfected U87 cells before and after irradiation显示文摘Radiation therapy plays a critical role in the treatment of neurogliocytoma and it is known that doublecortin (DCX)-transfected U87 cells can inhibit tumor cell growth. Microarray analysis to screen for differentially expressed genes in DCX-transfected U87 cells before and after radiation uncovered DCX-related genes, the functions of DCX, and downstream genes in radiation therapy of neurogliocytoma. Stably transfected U87 cells were constructed (DCX-U87) and the differentially expressed genes were screened by microarray analysis to compare U87 cells with DCX-U87 cells in both non-irradiated and irradiated conditions. Cells were irradiated using 60Co γ-ray at a dose rate of 1.0 Gy/min. Mean values were subject to paired comparison analysis and genes with a p-value of less than 0.05 were analyzed. Differentially expressed genes can correlate with radiation sensitivity and DCX transfection. DCX and SPN proteins in DCX-U87 cells were detected by two groups of 0 and 10 Gy, but not the U87 cells, and their expression levels were higher in the 10 Gy group than in the 0 Gy group. 14Down-regulation of N-methyl-D-aspartate receptor subunits 1 affects neurogenesis of hippocampal neural stem cells显示文摘Schizophrenia is a common and serious mental illness characterized by severe impairments in thinking,emotions,and behaviors.Usually,the cognitive deficits of schizophrenia are closely associated with abnormal neurogenesis due to the hypofunction of certain neural receptors such as N-methyl-D-aspartate receptors(NMDARs),which mediates neurotransmission.However,little is known about the involvement of NMDAR1 in regulating hippocampal neurogenesis in schizophrenia.In the current study,we present evidence suggesting that NMDAR1 regulates hippocampal neurogenesis as lentivirus-mediated shRNA silencing NMDAR1 gene or blocking with MK-801 results in abnormal neurogenesis consistently found in schizophrenia.The important finding was clearly demonstrated by the multiparametric assessments,including morphology,immunofluorescence,western blotting,and flow cytometry.Simultaneously,our results indicated that knockdown and blockade of NMDAR1 significantly attenuated the proliferation of hippocampal neural stem cells(hNSCs)and decreased the differentiation to neurons.More importantly,the blockade of NMDAR1 with MK-801 aggravated the apoptosis of hNSCs.Thus,it is likely that NMDAR1 functions as a new target for the treatment of schizophrenia.Our present study may provide a novel insight for further investigation of the pathogenesis of schizophrenia.YUQING HE LI GUO JUAN DING HAOWEN LV QUANRUI MA CHEN LI YU SHAO QIANG LIU CHUN ZHANG HAO YANG JUAN LIU 2021BIOCELL2021,45,2:0

16A facile process to optimize performance of regenerated Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets:Chemo-selective dissolution washing显示文摘In this work,the recycled Nd-Fe-B powders and regenerated Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets with low impurity content were successfully prepared from Nd-Fe-B magnet sludge via reduction diffusion(RD)method followed by a chemo-selective dissolution washing proc ess.The chemo-selective dissolution effect of various solution(deionized water,dilute acetic acid solution,NH_(4)Cl-methanol solution) was evaluated by impurity content and magnetic properties of the recycled Nd-Fe-B powder.The NH_(4)Cl-methanol solution can selectively remove impurities with minimal damage to the magnetic phase.Besides,the optimal NH_(4)Cl concentration and liquid-to-solid ratio were investigated.As a consequence,the contents of Ca,O,and H after optimal washing process are reduced to 0.07 wt%,0.31 wt% and 0.22 wt%,respectively.Hence,M_(3) Tis increased to 146.72 emu/g,which is 33% higher than that of the initial sludge.Then,the regenerated Nd-Fe-B sintered magnets with properties of B_(r)=11.66 kG,H_(cj)=16.49 kOe,and(BH)_(m)=31.78 MGOe were successfully prepared by mixing with 40 wt% Nd4Fe14B alloy powders.Compared with the corresponding regenerated magnets washed with deionized water,the remanence and coercivity are increased by 18% and 59%,respectively.Haibo Xu Qingmei Lu Lichao Yu Liying Cong Haowen Tian Weiqiang Liu Youhao Liu Yunqiao Wang Jingwu Chen Xiaofei Yi Qiong Wu Ming Yue 2023Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,12:0
17Hypoxia induces mitochondrial protein lactylation to limit oxidative phosphorylation显示文摘Oxidative phosphorylation(OXPHOS)consumes oxygen to produce ATP.However,the mechanism that balances OXPHOS activity and intracellular oxygen availability remains elusive.Here,we report that mitochondrial protein lactylation is induced by intracellular hypoxia to constrain OXPHOS.We show that mitochondrial alanyl-tRNA synthetase(AARS2)is a protein lysine lactyltransferase,whose proteasomal degradation is enhanced by proline 377 hydroxylation catalyzed by the oxygen-sensing hydroxylase PHD2.Hypoxia induces AARS2 accumulation to lactylate PDHA1 lysine 336 in the pyruvate dehydrogenase complex and carnitine palmitoyltransferase 2(CPT2)lysine 457/8,inactivating both enzymes and inhibiting OXPHOS by limiting acetyl-CoA influx from pyruvate and fatty acid oxidation,respectively.PDHA1 and CPT2 lactylation can be reversed by SIRT3 to activate OXPHOS.In mouse muscle cells,lactylation is induced by lactate oxidation-induced intracellular hypoxia during exercise to constrain high-intensity endurance running exhaustion time,which can be increased or decreased by decreasing or increasing lactylation levels,respectively.Our results reveal that mitochondrial protein lactylation integrates intracellular hypoxia and lactate signals to regulate OXPHOS.Yunzi Mao Jiaojiao Zhang Qian Zhou Xiadi He Zhifang Zheng Yun Wei Kaiqiang Zhou Yan Lin Haowen Yu Haihui Zhang Yineng Zhou Pengcheng Lin Baixing Wu Yiyuan Yuan Jianyuan Zhao Wei Xu Shimin Zhao 2024Cell Research2024,34,1:0
