| 1 | Broadband quasi-phase matching in a MgO:PPLN thin film显示文摘Future quantum information networks operated on telecom channels require qubit transfer between different wavelengths while preserving quantum coherence and entanglement. Qubit transfer is a nonlinear optical process,but currently the types of atoms used for quantum information processing and storage are limited by the narrow bandwidth of upconversion available. Here we present the first experimental demonstration of broadband and high-efficiency quasi-phase matching second-harmonic generation(SHG) in a chip-scale periodically poled lithium niobate thin film. We achieve a large bandwidth of up to 2 THz for SHG by satisfying quasi-phase matching and group-velocity matching simultaneously. Furthermore, by changing the film thickness, the central wavelength of the quasi-phase matching SHG bandwidth can be modulated from 2.70 μm to 1.44 μm. | 2 | Novel Mg-Bi-Mn wrought alloys:The effects of extrusion temperature and Mn addition on their microstructures and mechanical properties显示文摘Designing and developing the Mg alloys with low cost and high performance is of the great significance.Novel Mg-1Bi-xMn(x=0,1and 2 wt.%)extruded alloys,in this work,were fabricated at different extrusion temperatures(220,250 and 300℃).The effects of extrusion temperature and Mn addition on the microstructures and mechanical properties of extruded alloys at room temperature were investigated.The results showed that decreasing the extrusion temperature could refine the average grain size,weaken the basal fiber texture intensity and improve the microstructural homogeneity of extruded alloys.When the Mn element was added to the Mg-1Bi alloy,the average grain size further reduced.Simultaneously,the number fraction of low angle grain boundaries(LAGBs)increased,along with the occurrence of regions without dynamic recrystallization(unDRX).The combined effects of grain refinement and coarse unDRXed structure made the textures of the extruded Mg-1Bi-xMn alloys never obviously change.Besides few large size un-dissolved second phases,fine Mg_(3)Bi_(2) and α-Mn phases were precipitated in the extruded Mg-1Bi-xMn alloys and partial nano-scaleα-Mn particles pined at grain boundaries(GBs)to effectively impede the migration of GBs for grain refinement.Microstructural variations determined the extruded Mg-1Bi-2Mn alloy to exhibit the highest yield strength of~319.2 MPa with the appropriate elongation-to-failure of~13%at the extrusion temperature of 220℃,and they enabled the extruded Mg-1Bi-1Mn alloy to show the highest elongation-to-failure of~26%without the obvious loss of yield strength of~252.1 MPa. | Qinghang Wang Haowei Zhai Lintao Liu Hongbo Xia Bin Jiang Jun Zhao Daolun Chen Fusheng Pan | 2022 | Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,9: | 2 |
| 3 | Acetylation of ezrin regulates membrane–cytoskeleton interaction underlying CCL18-elicited cell migration显示文摘Ezrin,a membrane–cytoskeleton linker protein,plays an essential role in cell polarity establishment,cell migration,and division.Recent studies show that ezrin phosphorylation regulates breast cancer metastasis by promoting cancer cell survivor and promotes intrahepatic metastasis via cell migration.However,it was less characterized whether there are additional post-translational modifications and/or post-translational crosstalks on ezrin underlying context-dependent breast cancer cell migration and invasion.Here we show that ezrin is acetylated by p300/CBP-associated factor(PCAF)in breast cancer cells in response to CCL18 stimulation.Ezrin physically interacts with PCAF and is a cognate substrate of PCAF.The acetylation site of ezrin was mapped by mass spectrometric analyses,and dynamic acetylation of ezrin is essential for CCL18-induced breast cancer cell migration and invasion.Mechanistically,the acetylation reduced the lipid-binding activity of ezrin to ensure a robust and dynamic cycling between the plasma membrane and cytosol in response to CCL18 stimulation.Biochemical analyses show that ezrin acetylation prevents the phosphorylation of Thr567.Using atomic force microscopic measurements,our study revealed that acetylation of ezrin induced its unfolding into a dominant structure,which prevents ezrin phosphorylation at Thr567.Thus,these results present a previously undefined mechanism by which CCL18-elicited crosstalks between the acetylation and phosphorylation on ezrin control breast cancer cell migration and invasion.This suggests that targeting PCAF signaling could be a potential therapeutic strategy for combating hyperactive ezrin-driven cancer progression. | Xiaoyu Song Wanjuan Wang Haowei Wang Xiao Yuan Fengrui Yang Lingli Zhao McKay Mullen Shihao Du Najdat Zohbi Saravanakumar Muthusamy Yalei Cao Jiying Jiang Peng Xia Ping He Mingrui Ding Nerimah Emmett Mingming Ma Quan Wu Hadiyah-Nicole Green Xia Ding Dongmei Wang Fengsong Wang Xing Liu | 2020 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,6: | 1 |
| 4 | Visualizing light-induced dynamic structural transformations of Au clusters-based photocatalyst via in situ TEM显示文摘Ultrasmall gold(Au)clusters have been regarded as one of the prototypes materials for solar energy conversion due to their unique strong molecular-like light absorption properties.However,the light-induced aggregation of Au clusters into nanoparticles is one of the most important factors that restricts its application in photocatalysis.Although Au clusters aggregation has been widely demonstrated,the underlying mechanism for cluster fusion is still unclear due to the lack of experimental evidence.Herein,we report the direct observation of Au clusters on TiO_(2) nanosheets aggregating when used as visible light photocatalysts for the reduction of nitroaromatics.Through in situ high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(TEM),the coexistence of two fusion mechanisms of Au clusters on TiO_(2) under ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)light irradiation in air is identified,i.e.,the migration and coalescence(MC)and Ostwald ripening(OR).Additionally,the correlation between the photostability of Au clusters and reaction atmospheres has been investigated,among which Au clusters have higher stability in an inert N_(2) atmosphere or vacuum than the oxidizing atmospheres(i.e.,air and O_(2)).These results indicate the inherent stability of Au cluster during photocatalysis,and instability comes from the consuming of ligand layer.This work not only discloses the underlying mechanism of Au cluster sintering but also provides guidelines for enhancing metal clusters-based photocatalysts stability. | Bo Weng Youhong Jiang Hong-Gang Liao Maarten B.J.Roeffaers Feili Lai Haowei Huang Zichao Tang | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,8: | 1 |

| 6 | Microbial diversity in lake sediments detected by PCR-DGGE显示文摘In this study,PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE)was applied to analyze the microbial communities in lake sediments from Lake Xuanwu,Lake Mochou in Nanjing and Lake Taihu in Wuxi.Sediment samples from seven locations in three lakes were collected and their genomic DNAs were extracted.The DNA yields of the sediments of Lake Xuanwu and Lake Mochou were high(10 mg/g),while that of sediments in Lake Taihu was relatively low.After DNA purification,the 16S rDNA genes(V3 to V5 region)were amplified and the amplified DNA fragments were separated by parallel DGGE.The DGGE profiles showed that there were five common bands in all the lake sediment samples indicating that there were similarities among the populations of microorganisms in all the lake sediments.The DGGE profiles of Lake Xuanwu and Lake Mochou were similar and about 20 types of micro-organisms were identified in the sediment samples of both lakes.These results suggest that the sediment samples of these two city lakes(Xuanwu,Mochou)have similar microbial communities.However,the DGGE profiles of sediment samples in Lake Taihu were significantly different from these two lakes.Furthermore,the DGGE profiles of sediment samples in different locations in Lake Taihu were also different,suggesting that the microbial communities in Lake Taihu are more diversified than those in Lake Xuanwu and Lake Mochou.The differences in microbial diversity may be caused by the different environmental conditions,such as redox potential,pH,and the concentrations of organic matters.Seven major bands of 16S rDNA genes fragments from the DGGE profiles of sediment samples were further reamplified and sequenced.The results of sequencing analysis indicate that five sequences shared 99%-100%homology with known sequences(Bacillus and Brevibacillus,uncultured bacteria),while the other two sequences shared 93%-96%homology with known sequences(Acinetobacter,and Bacillus).The study shows that the PCR-DGGE technique combined with sequence analysis is a feasible and efficient method for the determination of microbial communities in sediment samples. | Xinqing ZHAO Liuyan YANG Can CHEN Lin XIAO Lijuan JIANG Zhe MA Haowei ZHU Zhenyang YU Daqiang YIN | 2008 | Frontiers in Biology2008,3,3: | 0 |
| 7 | Relating Initial Texture to Deformation Behavior During Cold Rolling and Static Recrystallization Upon Subsequent Annealing of an Extruded WE43 Alloy显示文摘Deformation behaviors during cold rolling and static recrystallization behaviors upon subsequent annealing of an extruded WE43 alloys with different initial textures were investigated in this study.Three types of differently textured WE43 initial alloys were labeled as samplesⅠ,ⅡandⅢ.The results showed that multiple twinning modes and basal slip dominated the deformation of samples during cold rolling.Cold-rolled sampleⅠactivated the larger number of double twins with high strain energy,accompanied by the more uniform strain distribution,than cold-rolled samplesⅡandⅢ.During subsequent annealing,recrystallized grains preferentially occurred in double twins,twin-twin intersections and grain boundaries,thereby making cold-rolled sampleⅠhave the more rapid recrystallization rate.Similar recrystallization textures formed in three types of cold-rolled samples at the recrystallization nucleation stage,and they never largely changed with the annealing time due to the uniform grain growth induced by the solute drag and the precipitation pinning at grain boundaries.After full recrystallization,the grain growth was controlled by the solute drag,instead of precipitates which were re-dissolved into the matrix.Finally,the nucleation and growth kinetics of static recrystallization were calculated,and the effects of initial texture on activation energies of recrystallization nucleation and growth were discussed. | Qinghang Wang Haowei Zhai Hongbo Xia Lintao Liu Junjie He Dabiao Xia Hong Yang Bin Jiang | 2022 | Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,11: | 0 |

| 9 | RSBP15 interacts with and stabilizes dRSPH3 during sperm axoneme assembly in Drosophila显示文摘Flagellum in sperm is composed of over 200 different proteins and is essential for sperm motility. In particular, defects in the assembly of the radial spoke in the flagellum result in male infertility due to loss of sperm motility. However, mechanisms regulating radial spoke assembly remain unclear in metazoans.Here, we identified a novel Drosophila protein radial spoke binding protein 15(RSBP15) which plays an important role in regulating radial spoke assembly. Loss of RSBP15 results in complete lack of mature sperms in seminal vesicles(SVs), asynchronous individualization complex(IC) and defective '9 + 2'structure in flagella. RSBP15 is colocalized with dRSPH3 in sperm flagella, and interacts with dRSPH3 through its DD_R_PKA superfamily domain which is important for the stabilization of dRSPH3. Moreover,loss of dRSPH3, as well as dRSPH1, dRSPH4 a and dRSPH9, showed similar phenotypes to rsbp15 KO mutant.
