1Timing and structural controls on skarn-type and vein-type mineralization at the Xitian tin-polymetallic deposit, Hunan Province, SE China显示文摘Xitian tin-polymetallic deposit, located in the eastern Hunan Province, SE China, hosts quartz vein and skarn in the contact zone between carbonate and two stages granites. Critical geodynamic questions for South China are whether different types of mineralization form in the same time and how the magmatism–tectonic system controls the ore-forming process. Based on the distribution of the orebodies, six cassiterite samples from different types of mineralization are collected for dating. In-situ LA-MCICP-MS U–Pb isotopic data yielded concordia low intercept ages between 154 and 157 Ma, indicating that different types of mineralization belong to the same magmatism–mineralization system. Coupled with the study of the kinematic indicators, it suggests that the structural control of the wall rocks constrain the types of mineralization. These results provide further evidence of a close temporal link between the structure and the tin-polymetallic mineralization in Xitian deposit. Considering the structure in the district, granite dome plays an important role in the ore-forming process. 2A triple-RBD-based mucosal vaccine provides broad protectionagainst SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern显示文摘The rapid mutation and spread of SARS-CoV-2 variants urge the development of effective mucosal vaccines to provide broadspectrum protection against the initial infection and thereby curb the transmission potential.Here,we designed a chimeric tripleRBD immunogen,3Ro-NC,harboring one Delta RBD and two Omicron RBDs within a novel protein scaffold.3Ro-NC elicits potent and broad RBD-specific neutralizing immunity against SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern.Notably,intranasal immunization with 3RoNC plus the mucosal adjuvant KFD(3Ro-NC+KFDi.n)elicits coordinated mucosal IgA and higher neutralizing antibody specificity(closer antigenic distance)against the Omicron variant.In Omicron-challenged human ACE2 transgenic mice,3Ro-NC+KFDi.n immunization significantly reduces the tissue pathology in the lung and lowers the viral RNA copy numbers in both the lung(85.7-fold)and the nasal turbinate(13.6-fold).Nasal virologic control is highly correlated with RBD-specific secretory IgA antibodies.Our data show that 3Ro-NC plus KFD is a promising mucosal vaccine candidate for protection against SARS-CoV-2 Omicron infection,pathology and transmission potential.Jingyi Yang Mei-Qin Liu Lin Liu Xian Li Mengxin Xu Haofeng Lin Shuning Liu Yunqi Hu Bei Li Bowen Liu Min Li Ying Sun Yao-Qing Chen Zheng-Li Shi Huimin Yan 2022Cellular & Molecular Immunology2022,19,11:3

4Relationship Between Micromorphological Structure of Leaf Epidermis and Drought Resistance in Callisia repens显示文摘[Objectives]To discuss the relationship between left epidermis structures and drought resistance.[Methods]The leaf epidermis of Callisia repens was studied by optical microscope.[Results]The upper and lower epidermal cells of the leaves of Callisia repens arranged closely,and no cell gap was arranged.The morphology of the epidermal cells was hexagonal,few pentagon or heptagon,the equivalent elliptical aspect ratio was 1.20,the vertical wall was straight and there was no stomatal distribution.Compared with the epidermal cells,the morphology of the lower epidermal cells was irregular.The equivalent elliptic aspect ratio was 1.35,and the vertical wall was smooth and curved.The mean oval aspect ratio of the stomatal guard cells was 1.42,the average stomatal density was 11.79/mm 2,and the average stomatal index was 17.21.[Conclusions]These characteristics provide the theoretical basis for the drought resistance of Callisia repens and the ornamental plants as roof greening.Haofeng OUYANG Silin CHEN Jinxiang LIU Jie WU Yudan SUN 2022Asian Agricultural Research2022,14,11:0
5Hierarchical palladium catalyst for highly active and stable water oxidation in acidic media显示文摘Acidic water electrolysis is of great importance for boosting the development of renewable energy.However,it severely suffers from the trade-off between high activity and long lifespan for oxygen evolution catalysts on the anode side.This is because the sluggish kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction necessitates the application of a high overpotential to achieve considerable current,which inevitably drives the catalysts far away from their thermodynamic equilibrium states.Here we demonstrate a new oxygen evolution model catalyst-hierarchical palladium(Pd)whose performance even surpasses the benchmark Ir-and Ru-based materials.The Pd catalyst displays an ultralow overpotential(196 mV),excellent durability and mitigated degradation(66μV h^(-1))at 10 mA cm^(-2)in 1 M HClO_(4).Tensile strain on Pd(111)facets weakens the binding of oxygen species on electrochemical etching-derived hierarchical Pd and thereby leads to two orders of magnitudes of enhancement of mass activity in comparison to the parent Pd bulk materials.Furthermore,the Pd catalyst displays the bifunctional catalytic properties for both oxygen and hydrogen evolutions and can deliver a current density of 2 A cm^(-2)at a low cell voltage of 1.771 V when fabricated into polymer ele ctrolyte membrane ele ctrolyser.Jing Peng Haofeng Sun Kun Ni Jiajing Wu Xinyu Sun Yueqi Su Han Cheng Yuhua Liu Yuqiao Guo Wentuan Bi Yanwu Zhu Changzheng Wu Yi Xie 2023National Science Review2023,10,2:0
