| 1 | YAGG:Ce transparent ceramics with high luminous efficiency for solid-state lighting application显示文摘A series of Y2.985Al5–xGaxO12:0.015Ce(YAGG:Ce,x=0,1,2,3,4,5)transparent ceramics were prepared via a solid-state reaction method.Two-step sintering technique was proved to be an effective approach to prepare functional ceramics with high Ga concentration,and Y3Ga5O12(YGG)transparent ceramic was successfully prepared for the first time.According to the variation of Al/Ga ratio,regulation of band structure and luminescence properties of YAGG:Ce transparent ceramics were effectively investigated.When Ga substitutes Al sites,the tetrahedral site is more favorable compared to the octahedral site for Ga to occupy according to the first-principle calculation.A continuous blue shift of the emission from 565 to 515 nm was achieved as Ga was gradually introduced into Y3Al5O12:Ce matrix.High quality green light was obtained by coupling the YAGG:Ce ceramics with commercial blue InGaN chips.Transparent luminescence ceramics accomplished in this work can be quite prospective for high power LED application. | Hui HUA Shaowei FENG Zhongyu OUYANG Hezhu SHAO Haiming QIN Hui DING Qiping DU Zhijun ZHANG Jun JIANG Haochuan JIANG | 2019 | Journal of Advanced Ceramics2019,8,3: | 13 |
| 2 | Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDE) in blood from children (age 9–12) in Taizhou, China显示文摘Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) as ubiquitous persistent organic pollutants have attracted much attention in recent years. Exposure to PBDEs could induce a high health risk for children. The aim of this study was to investigate the PBDEs exposure of children (9–12 years) from Taizhou, China. Fifty-eight blood samples were collected in one school in a mountainous area in Taizhou. The concentrations of ∑9PBDEs (sum of BDE-28, -47, -99, -100, -153, -154, -183, -197 and -209) ranged from 2.66 to 33.9 ng/g lipid wet (lw) with a median of 7.22 ng/g lw. These concentrations were lower than those of children in USA, but close to European and Asian general population levels. The results showed that children in Taizhou countryside were at a low level of PBDEs exposure. The predominant congener was BDE-209, followed by BDE-28, -47, -197 and -153. | 4 | Molecular characterization and developmental expression patterns of thyroid hormone receptors(TRs) and their responsiveness to TR agonist and antagonist in Rana nigromaculata显示文摘Considering some advantages of Rana nigromaculata as an experimental species, we propose that this species, like Xenopus laevis, could be used to assay thyroid hormone(TH) signaling disrupting actions. To validate the utilizability of R. nigromaculata, we investigated the responsiveness of R. nigromaculata to a TH receptor(TR) agonist(T3) and antagonist(amiodarone) by analyzing expression, based on characterizing TR cDNA and developmental expression patterns. With high levels of identity with the corresponding genes in X. laevis, both TRα and TRβ in R. nigromaculata exhibited roughly similar developmental expression patterns to those of X. laevis, in spite of some species-specific differences. Both TRα and TRβ expression had greater changes in the liver and intestine than in the tail and brain during metamorphosis. T3 exposure for 2 days induced more dramatic increases of TRβ expression in stage 27 than in stage34 tadpoles but not in stage 42 tadpoles, showing that the responsiveness of R. nigromaculata to TH decreased with development and disappeared at the onset of metamorphic climax.Corresponding to greater changes of TRβ expression in the liver and intestine than in the tail and brain during metamorphosis, the liver and intestine had higher responsiveness to exogenous T3 than the tail and brain. Amiodarone inhibited T3-induced TRβ expression. | 8 | Efficient quasi-stationary charge transfer from quantum dots to acceptors physically-adsorbed in the ligand monolayer显示文摘Alkanoate-coated CdSe/CdS core/shell quantum dots(QDs)with near-unity photoluminescence(PL)quantum yield and monoexponential PL decay dynamics are applied for studying quasi-stationary charge transfer from photo-excited QDs to quinone derivatives physically-adsorbed within the ligand monolayer of a QD.Though PL quenching efficiency due to electron transfer can be up to>80%,transient PL and transient absorption spectra reveal that the charge transfer rate ranges from single-digit nanoseconds to sub-nanoseconds,which is~3 orders of magnitude slower than that of static charge transfer and〜2 orders of magnitude faster than that of collisional charge transfer.The physically-adsorbed acceptors can slowly(500-1,000 min dependent on the size of the quinone derivatives)desorb from the ligand monolayer after removal of the free acceptors.Contrary to collisional charge transfer,the efficiency of quasi-stationary charge transfer increases as the ligand length increases by providing additional adsorption compartments in the elongated hydrocarbon chain region.Because ligand monolayer commonly exists for a typical colloidal nanocrystal,the quasi-stationary charge transfer uncovered here would likely play an important role when colloidal nanocrystals are involved in photocatalysis,photovoltaic devices,and other applications related to photo-excitation. | Lei Yang Xiaoqi Zhou Yuzhong Chen Yufeng Qin Xueqian Kong Haiming Zhu Chaodan Pu Xiaogang Peng | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,1: | 1 |

| 11 | Development and characterization of monoclonal antibodies against human aryl hydrocarbon receptor显示文摘Aryl hydrocarbon receptor(Ah R), a ligand-dependent nuclear receptor, is involved in a diverse spectrum of biological and toxicological effects. Due to the lack of three dimensional(3D)crystal or nuclear magnetic resonance structure, the mechanisms of these complex effects of AhR remain to be unclear. Also, commercial monoclonal antibodies(mA bs) against human AhR protein(h Ah R), as alternative immunological tools, are very limited. Thus, in order to provide more tools for further studies on h Ah R, we prepared two m Abs(1D6 and 4A6) against h Ah R. The two newly generated m Abs specifically bound to amino acids 484–508(located in transcription activation domain) and amino acids 201–215(located in Per-ARNT-Sim domain)of h Ah R, respectively. These epitopes were new as compared with those of commercial m Abs.The m Abs were also characterized by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, western blot,immunoprecipitation and indirect immunofluorescence assay in different cell lines. The results showed that the two m Abs could recognize the linearized AhR s in six different human cell lines and a rat hepatoma cell line, as well as the h Ah R with native conformations. | 14 | Elevating photoluminescence properties of Y_(3)MgAl_(3)SiO_(12):Ce^(3+)transparent ceramics for high-power white lighting显示文摘Compared with Y_(3)Al_(5)O_(12):Ce^(3+),Y3MgAl3SiO12:Ce^(3+)(YMASG:Ce^(3+))reveals great potential for highpower white lighting with red-shift spectrum.Herein,YMASG:Ce^(3+)transparent ceramics were explored to be synthesized in the air following hot isostatic pressure(HIP)treatment to obtain tunable and optimized optical properties.Then phase purity,microstructure,transmittance,and photoluminescence of YMASG:Ce^(3+)ceramics were investigated.The emission peak of YMASG:Ce^(3+)transparent ceramic can be tuned from 573 to 592 nm with the variation of Ce^(3+)doping concentration.It should be noted that this YMASG:0.2 at%Ce^(3+)transparent ceramic with emission peak at 579 nm under 450 nm excitation exhibits the highest internal/external quantum efficiency(72%/65%).The white LED device using YMASG:0.2 at%Ce^(3+)transparent ceramic with a 0.4 mm thickness demonstrates a luminous efficiency(LE)of 106 lm/W,correlated color temperature of 3158 K,and color coordinate(0.3933,0.3265).Thermal stability can be significantly imporoved by the incorporation of Lu^(3+)in YMASG transparent ceramic,and the Y3-yLuyMgAl3SiO12:0.2 at/Ce^(3+)(y=0-2.5)transparent ceramics were fabricated.The highest thermal stability(88%@150℃of the integrated emission intensity at 25℃)can be achieved wheny=2.5.The maximum LE of 154 Im/W can be obtained from Y_(0.5)Lu_(2.5)MgAl_(3)SiO_(12):0.2 at%Ce^(3+)transparent ceramic.These results indicate that YMASG:Ce^(3+)transparent ceramics with optimized properties can be regarded as an encouraging candidate for highpower white lighting. | Shaowei Feng Yongchang Guo Xiaoming Sun Jie Fu Jianqiang Li Jun Jiang Haiming Qin Hui Wang Yafeng Yang | 2023 | Journal of Rare Earths2023,41,5: | 0 |
